A young dragon born of dark blood must survive as an outcast, and bring praise to his kind in order to save his entire species.

Hey guys, Taro here. Its been a while since I've been on here posting and reading others works. I've been wanting to get back into writing, but never really had the want or drive to do it, but I finally decided to try and fix that bump and make it a flat space to allow for some fun writing. I'm also going to do things I've never done before, (XXX stories are one of those btw.) so, thanks for understanding guys. Ok, so TLOS:SOW is a story I've been thinking over for a while. I've been wanting to do it for an extremely long time, but again, haven't had any want or will to do it. The story is going to be a multi-part story with some explicit content, so young readers beware, leave now and go look at pretty kittens.............you know what, don't. No telling what's going to come up if you google image Kittens........just beware. anyways, ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!

The wind blew softly across the city of Warfang. Hundreds of dragons were gathered at the north gate of Warfangs great wall. All were patiently waiting the return of the soldiers whom had been sent out to fight against the purple dragons army. Well, I take that back. Had been forced out to fight against the purple dragons Army. I guess I should go back a few years.......well, a few hundred years.

Long ago, the purple dragon was thought to be the savior of the world. One who would destroy all evil and bring peace upon the world for one thousand years. The elders however, did not see what the lust of power could do to one and failed to notice it in time. This was the doing of the purple dragon known as Malefor. During this time, our kind entered into a war that we knew we would lose unless another miracle came to us.

Excuse my bad attempt at story telling. This was a long time ago, before my great grandparents were even thought of. I'm just trying to note the biggest and most important points of our history. Anyway, back to the history of our species.

Well, soon a savior came in the form of another purple dragon. The legendary Spyro and his mate, the dark dragoness Cynder. History says they fought against Malefor and won before saving the world and disappearing for a short time before returning. From stories passed down to me by m family, the pair wasn't the same when they returned. They seemed distant, paranoid even. Never the less, the lands were brought to peace once more. If for a fleeting moment, we dreamed it would last.........we were wrong. Spyro and Cynder had a pair of eggs together. One died in its egg, the other killed at the age of ten by its father. The tales of that day are horrid and pathetic. Spyro carrying his mauled child through the streets, killing all who tried to help, or stop him.

He and his mate were finally stopped and chased out of town. Why we chose to let him live dumbfounds me. Shortly after these events, Spyro took the place at the top of Malefors old and forgotten army, and the war soon began once again. Spyro was a lot more relentless that his predecessor in his attempts to create a new, pure world. The battles were long, and hard with our side losing most if not all of them. The leaders of Warfang began to change the way they work and perform as well. The Guardians became the protectors of the hatchery and young hatchlings. The four oldest and wisest dragons were put in place as the Elemental Elders.

During this time, a group of dragons began to make there own ideals of leadership. The four called themselves the Elemental Legends and stood to serve and protect the civilian population of all dragons. They operated under no rules, no laws. If it was for the betterment of a population, they would help any way they can. In there early years, they were highly disregarded as a small group od militia personnel, but as there group aged and new legends took the place of the elder ones, they began to be known as a dangerous force, a fearful ally. They were four of the strongest and smartest dragons in all of the lands. It had been proven to all of the population when one elemental legend took on al four of the guardians of that time without taking a single wound.

As well as this incident, there strength was proven on the battlefield. there are many stories of one or two elemental legends taking on and destroying thousands of Spyros minions. They quickly earned a reputation and soon became a part of our leadership in a way. It became a cycle of hope, and it went a little like this. The Elemental Guardians would choose a young apprentice around the ages of ten and fifteen and begin training them to take there spot once they grew old. Once an elemental guardian would age, he would be placed in as the next Elemental Elder. The apprentice of the elemental guardian would then take his place as the new guardian, and would shortly after choose an apprentice of his own. This cycle repeated itself with much success.

The Elemental Legends were a different story. The current elemental legend would wait for the perfect apprentice to show there colors. Making sure they follow under certain standards and abilities before they give them the opportunity to be an apprentice to them. No one knows what happens, but hundreds drop out of being an apprentice to these dragons. something about the way they hold themselves, the fear they give off just by a look. They say that alone can drive a dragon to madness. Those who make it will remain apprentices until the current elder grows too old, or dies. Then the apprentice takes there place as the next elemental legend. By this time, they are fearful and powerful dragons that radiate wisdom. Masters of there element.

During all of this, my family tree was still just sprouting its roots, and my life still had some time before it began. But my life was spared in a way, as yet another purple egg was born. The elders took no risk with this one and killed the egg. But, they made a mistake. Shortly after, an egg hatched, revealing a purple dragon inside. Its egg shell showed no idea of being a purple dragon. The next to hatch was a black dragon from a black egg. They began to believed that a purple and black dragon would be born together to become mates and take the place of Spyro and Cynder at the head of there evil army. The elders grew fearful and made the decision to crush all the eggs in the hatchery that season. Many families were devastated, and the elemental legends got involved leading to a few elders dying at the paws of the legends. They had made the decision and put the life of dragons at risk. This is what the legends stood against. The cycle of leadership continued and soon everything went to normal in a way. The only difference was all black eggs were crushed, and all purple dragons born were killed. Now were getting close to where I come in.

The newest generation of dragons had come for that season, and eggs were getting dropped off at the hatchery at a near constant pace, except one. The parents were afraid. The mother distraught as they thought of what to do with the black egg in there paws. Why did it have to be them? Why did they get cursed with the dark egg this generation? There's no telling of what questions went through there mind as the mother took her egg to the elders to be crushed. The father to distraught. His first child, and it was to be killed. The mother handed her egg to the elders, tears streaming down her muzzle as the elder dropped the egg, hoping to kill it without having to use there own force. As the egg hit the ground, a messenger rushed in with news of the war. The elders seemed to be more interested in the news than the black egg at there feet and quickly left the egg to tend to the message.

The mother, whom regretted her decision opened her closed eyes to see what was left of the child she carried. to her surprise, the egg was intact. She looked around the room before grabbing the eg and rushing back to her mate, The elders were clueless, figuring the egg had been crushed and one of the servants had cleaned the mess while they heard the message. The female rushed back to her mate, terrified at what would happen to her if anyone found out. The father was happy he still had his offspring, but held his mates worry. They agreed to never tell anyone of the eggs existence and care for the child as if it were a normal dragon.

A few months passed and soon the egg hatched, revealing a young male dragon. His body mixed with black and red scales. His parents were hoping his color would allow him to pass as normal dragon, but knew that would not be possible. On top of that, the young dragon was sickly and weak. The drop from the elders had stunted his growth and left the child missing the lower half of his left forearm. They nursed the child the best they could, but here efforts were useless. Nothing they did worked. On top of that, the hatchlings missing arm kept him from living a normal life. His inability to run and play kept him from gaining the proper muscle mass to properly grow. Soon the parents could no longer keep the child hidden. They had to et the child help or risk the child dying.

The father took a chance and found an old friend to call in a favor from there childhood days. The dragon had spent countless years as a medical professional and came as soon as possible to assist the young hatchling. He saw a chance to gain information on how the dark dragons were tied to the purple dragons, and how to possibly stop whatever made the dragons evil. He almost immediately managed to heal the young hatchling. His health grew and he was soon as healthy as the hatchling should be. The doctor wanted the hatchling to have a normal life to live, so he then made the young hatchling a robotic prosthetic leg to help the hatchling, going so far as to learn a potion to change the hatchlings scale color permanently. The young dragons scales changing to a cobalt blue with a yellowish tent to match his element. The doctor went beyond what he was entitled to do for the family. He saw a chance to change dragon society for the better, this pushed him to make a strong bond with the hatchling.

Years passed and the hatchling lived a normal life. Training under his father, playing with his friends, learning at Warfangs school. But soon, his happiness would change. The word spread that all capable bodies would be needed to fight in the war. His mother and father were but one of few mated pairs that were forced to go into battle. They unwillingly left there offspring with hundreds of civilians into battle. The child's grandparents came to stay with the hatchling as he watched his parents leave. His heart hurt, as they left, but he knew they would return one day. The young hatchling forced himself to live his life as well as he could. His thoughts were always on his parent. Why did his parents have to go and not his friends parents? he asked himself before shaking the thoughts from his head. No, there strong. There going to be home real soon.

This is where I come in. My name is Taro. I'm sixteen years old. My father is Orion, a lightning type element. My mother is Aurora, an ice element. They met while they were serving a short term in Warfangs royal guard. After a while of being together, they became mates and had a black egg. Yeah, that's right. I'm the hatchling. Its kind of a long story, but honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.
