#2 of Let It Snow

Here is lovely chapter 2, so far so good!

I don't know what this was all about but Travis had called me out for words drink down at a favorite bar of his. I didn't care much for drinking but a little every once in a while was fine, however I couldn't help but to be suspicious considering its been a long time since we had drank together. Huffing whatever it was it was it had better be good considering I had been cozy on the couch getting close to finishing crocheting my scarf(and there is nothing unmanly about that mind you!). Pulling my jacket closer I could hear music faintly playing the saw a small brick building with a neon sigh saying 'Open' in the window.

This had better be good.

Walking in my eyes immediately found Travis but the person sitting next to him made me want to turn tail and run but damn my bad luck and that squeaking door that have away my position. My hazel eyes locked with the warmest honey eyes I've ever seen that it felt like I had became completely and utterly exposed. Their curious look turrned into a playful one and that's when I knew I was done for.

Brushing my fingers through my hair I tried to be nonchalant as I approached the bar finding the only available chair left was beside Jason, already I could smell something from the bear. It was spicy with a sweet subtle undertone, was it his body wash or cologne? Whatever it was suited him perfectly and I liked it.

"It's about time Suna we've been waiting forever! Oi! How about a couple beers over here Bill and a green apple bite!" Travis smiled waving to a large bull down the way wearing a pink button up shirt. That was Bill who owned this bar, he's openly gay and is very sweet and docile...as long as you stay on his good side and never EVER call him Pecos Bill.

Why?

Being from Texas many had resorted to calling him Bill for some odd reason, even though his real name is Jerry, but he actually seemed to like the new nickname. I recalled one day some snobby cheetah decided to mess with him having teased the face he always wore pink and called him Pecos Bill...repeatedly. Bill was a good sport about it till he had taken it way too far so let's just say that cheetah had his spots rearranged that day and leave it at that.

Lesson being, this sweet gentle bull can give you a R.Y.A.N.O in a heartbeat.(pat yourself on the back if you got this reff:D)

Drumming my fingers on the counter I could feel eyes on the side of my head. Taking a small peek I quickly turned back to look at the polished wood of the bar that was always so clean.

"Hey Suna, how's your day been?" That gruff voice had assaulted my sensitive ears sending shivers throughout my body all the way to the very tip of my tail, I could already feel blood rushing to my cheeks.

Smiling I softly nodded giving him my full attention, "I'm pretty good just a long boring day, how about you Jason?"

"Hehe well it's been a bit exciting for me, a part of the roof on the second floor had caved into my guest room and my stove no longer works so might be spending time in a hotel till after the New Years. At least I'm getting a couple beers out of this troubling day." Holding up the frosted mug the bear thanked Bill and proceeded to take a long drink from it.

"Geez I'd have a drink too after all that..." Thinking on it I couldn't help but to feel bad for the guy I mean it's almost Christmas and who wants to have a lonely time in some hotel during this time of year. My brain was screaming this might end badly but my heart was much louder saying to just give it a shot. I mean better than wandering 'what if' forever right?

Looking over to Travis I noticed his spot was empty and glancing around the bar he was nowhere to be found. That's when I realized Jason had TWO beers next to him...that devious son of a bitch! I'll deal with the buck later but for now my attention was mainly on this stressed out guy next to me. Carefully I placed my hand on his back to give it a pat holding back a moan, oh gods he felt so warm even through his shirt! I could feel the softness of his fur as it made me want to knead into him but now was not the time.

"Hey don't do that, why not come stay at my place?" I casually asked running my finger over the edge of my glass. "I mean I have more than plenty of room and well it'd be awful to see you waste money on some hotel."

"Mmm well I appreciate the offer but there is just two things you need to know before I give my answer." Jason lightly spoke out starting to get a bit nervous taking another sip of his drink finishing off the glass.

"What would that be?" Raising a brow my heart was racing, all I could do was pray that he didn't have a secret lover or long distance wife that would be coming for the holidays.

That would just suck.

"Well for starters I'm...well gay. I like other guys and there is this one guy I have taken a liking to a lot."

Someone kill me now! It's not fair! Why are all the hot guys either straight or taken? Why!?

My ears had flattened on my head in disappointment that I didn't even have a shot before I had got started. Jason had turned in his seat to fully look at me, sighing I fully turned my head up to see him looking so serious at me. Twitching my ears I waited for him to talk again enjoying a full close up of those dazzling warm honey colored eyes.

"I fancy you and would love to stay with you and I give you my word that I will be a gentleman and be on my best behavior that is if your offer still stands." Rubbing the back of his there there was a light blush under the light brown fur that caused me to softly giggle never thinking I'd have a chance to see such a face. Then it dawned on me that I was completely red, no chance in hell I could hide it as Jason let out his own chuckle seeing my reaction. "Well?"

"O-Of course my offer still stands, and I trust you not to do anything I wouldn't like. So Urm we can go get your stuff then head over to my place alright?" Quickly looking away I downed the rest of my drink running my fingers through my bangs trying to get a hold of myself. This was pretty awesome, after all this time of shifty luck it looks like.it's reign was approaching its end. Maybe this was the second chance I had been waiting for, I can't let it slip away. I just can't!

The rest of the time we sat in a comfortable silence just enjoying another drink together. Seems like Jason was a little on the shy side too, every time our eyes would meet he'd look away. It was actually pretty cute.

Reaching for my wallet a hand had enclosed around mine making me visibly shiver. "Jason let go, I got this."

"Not on my watch kitten, after all you're doing more than enough for me as is."

"B-But-" A finger was placed on my lips instantly silencing me.

"Now, you're going to put that wallet away and simply smile because I'm paying for our drinks then you'll kiss me on the cheek as a thank you okay?" Jason smirked chuckling lightly seeing I had nodded my head."Good boy."

After getting Jason's things we were now removing our coats and knocking the snow off our shoes in the foyer of my home.

"Hey Suna, i was only kidding about the kiss ya know? You were acting so cute I-"

Before Jason could say another word I had stood on my toes to kiss his cheek purring right into his ear. "Shame because I took it seriously." With that I smirked swaying my tail and ass as I slowly walked away from the stunned grizzly leaving him to his thoughts.
