#1 of Ben's Travels

Currently updating to this tonight, I will put the shorter version elsewhere.

Chapter I

It was a warm, rainy morning in the summer at Ben's home outside of Clarkson in Bayview. Except for the occasional vehicle that drove by the house, it was pretty quite for being a suburban home. An old beat up early '70s garbage truck that had a light blue colored cab and white colored garbage compacter with lots of rust stopped by the home and an older husky in his late 40s wearing jeans, steel toe boots, a white tee and a bright orange safety vest got off the back of the truck and took the garbage from the cans and placed it in the back of the truck before going to the next house.

Rays of sunlight pierced the blinds in the windows and illuminated the tropical blue carpet on the bedroom floor and the red velvet blankets on the bed as the husky underneath continued sleeping, as the whirring of the air conditioner in another window slowly came down to a stop to save energy as the room was cool enough, for a Husky at least.

Ben continued sleeping until his phone went off with the sound of a train horn as his texting ringtone. Ben then woke up with a yawn as he reached to grab his phone off of the oak nightstand. Ben opened his messages and seen his best friend Carl had sent him a text message. Ben's eyes were assaulted by the sudden brightness of the phone screen that he squinted for a few seconds before adjusting to the light once again. Carl was asking if Ben was interested to go to the bar with him later that evening for some drinks, and maybe even some fun. Ben replied that he was and said that he was quite busy with work. Ben then got out of the bed and stretched as he began his morning routine.

Ben went into the master bathroom and took his long morning piss and flushed the toilet before hopping into the shower. Ben had a light blue corner bathtub with a Jacuzzi and shower function. Thanks to Rita, Ben had the funds to be able to install it; of course she wasn't around as she was on a business trip. Ben turned on the faucet and waited for it to get to that temperature he considered "just right", then he pulled diverter and the tub spout sent the water to the shower nozzle. Ben had then entered the tub and began to soak his thick fur. Ben had moved his hands through all of his fur to make sure it was getting a good soak before he applied any shampoo. Ben then had browsed through the massive collection of shampoos that were on the walls of the shower and picked a bottle that was in a bright blue that smelled like blueberries and began to put a large amount in his paw. Ben had scrubbed the shampoo into his fur as it made a large amount of bubbles that covered his black and white fur.

After rinsing his fur, Ben finished up in the shower and went back to the bedroom to get dressed for his long day today. Ben had opened the sliding wooden doors into his walk in wardrobe and browsed through his shirts to see which one he wanted to wear today. Ben had went through all of his shirts before finding a blue one with a Conrail logo on it. Ben had this shirt since 1999 and had continued to wear it to this day, although it was a little worn, it wasn't too bad since he took extreme care of his things. Ben had then went through the jeans in his wardrobe that were on hangers and got out a pair of blue cargo jeans that had been well worn with experience, the jeans clearly showed it on their faded light blue fabric. Ben then went back into the bedroom and took his previous pair of jeans off of the hook on the door, he took his brown leather belt out of the camouflage jeans and put them in his "new" pair of blue jeans. Then he put on his pants and got his brown leather dress shoes which had matched his leather belt. Ben had put his brown leather wallet in his pocket along with his cell phone and USB flash drive. Ben then put on deodorant and his shirt before going downstairs to make breakfast.

When Ben went into the kitchen, he found a note on the white marble counter next to the small copper sink used for washing produce. Ben could see it was written in Rita's favorite ink, purple. The note said, "Dear Ben, while I am away I need you to contact the pool maintenance Husky and notify him we need some regular maintenance done on the pool and attached Jacuzzi. Also, I found those part order numbers for the parts that are needed to repair the Jacuzzi on the deck. The part numbers are 122389, 198078, and, 792349. When possible, visit the supply place and get them. I better see that hot tub ready to be used when I get back so we can have some loving fun. Love you sweetie, Rita." Ben then took the note and placed it in his wallet so he could remember that part numbers for the hot tub replacement parts.

Ben walked over to the large stainless steel plated refrigerator and got some eggs out of the box and placed them on the counter. Ben had then gotten a blue ceramic bowl from a cupboard as he began to prepare his breakfast. Ben took a few segments of paper towel from the roll that was hanging on a roller below the cupboards by the stove and placed the egg shells that got cracked open on them as he put all of the eggs into the bowl before mixing them. Ben had went back to the refrigerator and put some small pieces of different vegetables into the bowl while he continued to stir it. Ben got out a frying pan and put it on the burner as he began to pour the egg mix into it. After 20 minutes of cooking, Ben had prepared a rather delicious egg sandwich and devoured it within five minutes or so.

Ben went into the garage where his 1992 Chevrolet Caprice was stored and opened the doors and trunk so he could thoroughly clean his car. While most well to do Huskies owned fancy luxury cars, or expensive sports cars, Ben was different from them, he always enjoyed the police cars of the 80s and 90s, and was quite happy with the Caprice, even if it did not serve any duty as a police vehicle. Ben vacuumed inside of the blue leather seats and got all of the dirt and garbage out from them. However, among this dirt was lots of loose change that often slid out of friend's pockets and ended up in the seats until Ben discovered it. Ben counted all of the change and exclaimed, "Wow, $10.74 just from the loose change in my seats!" Ben also cleaned his floor covers and replaced them back in the floor. When Ben opened the trunk lid, he was assaulted by a terrible smell. It was the smell of his rank, musky gym bag. Ben said, "I knew I was forgetting something, I forgot to clean my gym clothes and change them out." Ben took the metallic blue gym bag and set it on the floor of the garage while he finished up cleaning the inside of the trunk.

After finally finishing the passenger compartment and trunk from top to bottom, Ben had gone into a drawer connected to the workbench and pulled out a drill-bit buffer and a tube of toothpaste. Ben went to the front and connected the buffer to his drill and put some toothpaste on the buffer. Ben had read an article online that he could clean his fogged headlights with toothpaste and a buffer. Ben felt a little hesitant about trying this new method as he wasn't confident it would work. Ben had soon realized the Husky that wrote the article wasn't blowing smoke, the lenses of the headlights became much clearer! Twenty minutes went by and both headlights on the Caprice were clearer than the water of Flathead Lake of Montana.
