Boomeranged In China
#15 of The Amazing Race 2
On the last leg of the Amazing Race, teams traveled to India; but not to visit, they searched for maps, matched fabric, and crossed a big river to grab a key. Tammy pulled out a little evil resulting in the Olympians' win and Vince & Sam's loss. Since it was a double elimination, and some fat tigers just can't run for the life of them, Griffin & Zander were also eliminated. 9 teams are still left in the crazy world-wide adventure. Who will be left behind? Stick around because this is... the Amazing Race.

"Welcome back to Agra, India." Toner says. "Yesterday's winners are the first ones up today." Rachel steps up the clue box and takes the next clue.
"Route Info: get on flight to Beijing." China is one of the biggest countries in Asia. It's known for the Great Wall of China, the Chinese Empire, and some of the influence it has on the U.S. today. Players will travel to Beijing where their next clue lies at the airport.
"Let's go!" Tammy says. The rest of the teams get in cabs and drive to the airport. Once everyone gets on the three and a half hour flight to China, they start to settle in.
"I'll admit I feel kinda bad after what happened with Vince & Sam." Kitty says. "They were part of our alliance and we just dumped them like that."
"Sorry, Kitty, but snail get left behind and the roadrunners win the race." DeeDee says.
"They won two legs of the race. They were pretty good!"
"True. But right now, we need to focus more on staying another day than a past team." Diesel says.
"I know but-" Kit covers her sister's muzzle.
"Look, I feel guilty about it too, but we have a race to win and we can't have that when you won't let go of the past." Kit says. "Promise me you won't let emotions get in the way of your gameplay?" Kitty rolls her eyes.
"I promise." That's when the loudspeaker in the plane goes off.
"Teams," Toner's voice booms through the cabin and first class, "hidden in this leg is a Double U-Turn. At the checkpoint, you can force one team to redo the last two tasks. This... is gonna be fun to watch." It beeps off.

The plane lands at 10:57 am in Beijing and the racers immediately run out to the clue box. "Route Info: get a cab and drive to the Temple of Heaven." Milon says.
"Let's go!" Zax says. The teams get in their own cab and drive to the Temple.
"I need that Double U-Turn!" Tammy says. "We could finally send the Policefurs packing."
"I agree." Rachel says. "But maybe we should be more subtle. I say we should use it on the twins; they're way too smart."
"That was going to be my second option. But my priority will always be the Policefurs."
"With a Double U-Turn, your priorities can shift."

The Olympians make it to the Temple of Heaven first and get the next clue. "One-Way: time to hunt for fortune cookies." Rachel reads. In this One-Way, teams will search for fortune cookie hidden in the park. Once they find one, break it open and they'll find the next clue. Soon the Policefurs and twins arrive and begin their search.
"This is just like the key challenge in Egypt." Diesel says. He lifts a large rock and looks behind it.
"Do you think any of these challenges are supposed to be easy?" Kit asks. She and DeeDee search up in the trees, but they have trouble.
"Hey, Diesel, I've been wondering something." Kitty says.
"Oh? What is it?" Diesel asks.
"What accent do you have? It sounds French but it also seems a bit Danish."
"Ah. I've been asked about that a lot. My mother was Danish and my dad was from Paris. They came to America to get better jobs."
"Oh. That's pretty cool. Do, did going to Paris remind you of them?"
"Of course it did. I sorta miss them, you know?"
"I know. Even though it doesn't seem like it, me and Kit miss our parents."
Barbara & Eddy and Zoe & Patricia make it there next. "We're searching for cookies?" Eddy asks. "I'm telling ya, these get weirder the further we get in this game."
"Me and Patricia will search over there, you guys take the other side." Zoe says.
"Sounds like a good idea to me."
"Alright. Then let's go." Patricia says. Tammy & Rachel search near the fountain.
"Did you hear that?" Tammy asks. Rachel searches around the small bushes.
"Hear what?" Rachel asks.
"I think the critics and the publishers have an alliance by the way they were talking. We need that U-Turn to split them up."
"No time for that." Rachel pulls out a fortune cookie and breaks it open. She reads the small slip of paper. "You're next clue is at the Great Wall of China."
"Better go while we have our lead." As Tammy & Rachel continue their lead, Jasper & Mitch, and Milon & Zax finally arrive.
"Dude! I love fortune cookies!" Mitch says.
"I know." Jasper says. "I haven't forgotten that end of the year party where you managed to down 100 of them in 15 minutes."
"I may have gotten sick, but it was a bet and I won!"
"Oh no. Not... fortune cookies!!" Zax says.
"It's alright, Zax." Milon puts a shoulder around him. Becky & KiKi arrive and they get their clue.
"What's wrong with him?" Becky asks, pointing at Zax.
"He's allergic to fortune cookies." Milon explains. "That stuff comes near him and his eyes swell shut."
"Ok. Well, be careful then." Becky says. As the rest of the teams continue to search, Miles & Joey finally arrive.
"Oh crud. We're in last place." Miles says. "Spread out. We'll find it faster." Him and Joey go in different directions.
"Anything up there?" Diesel shouts into the trees.
"Nothing!" DeeDee says. She looks over at another branch and sees a bird's nest. And of course, a fortune cookie is in there. DeeDee cracks her knuckles, carefully reaches over and grabs it. "Got it!" Jumps off the tree and lands squarely on her feet.
"Shouldn't we wait for the twins?" Diesel asks.
"No need." Kit says. With another cookie in paw, she adds, "Kitty found it in the bushes."
"It wasn't easy." Kitty says. She shows her arms which has a 3-inch scratch with blood seeping out. "See?"
"Ouch. That must've hurt." DeeDee says. The Policefurs and twins run off with their next clue.
"Found one!" Mitch says. He crushes it open and sees two things: a slip of paper with the next clue and a small yellow diamond with 2 U's on it.
"Dude, did you find the Double U-Turn?" Jasper asks.
"I think I did." Mitch says.
"Sweet!!" The two boys run off.
"Becky, I don't care how soon you find this cookie, but we might want to soon." KiKi says. "I overheard the frat bros and they have the Double U-Turn."
"What?!" Becky says. "I look at the fountain, you keep looking in the trees."
"Any luck?" Barbara asks.
"Nope not yet." Eddy says. He looks up in the tree and sees one sitting on a branch. He kicks the trunk of the tree and the cookie falls into his paws. He crushes it open and finds the paper. "Great Wall of China. Let's go!" Him and Barbara run back to their cab.
"Man, this is really hard." Milon says. "How're you holding up, pal?"
"I'm fine." Zax says.
"But you realize we both have to search for it. It can't just be me."
"I know. I'm just... scared of my allergies. That's all." Zax kicks aside a bush and doesn't see anything.
"I get it." Milon looks around. "Ai, ai, ai, where could these cookies be?"
"Found one!" Patricia says from above. She jumps from the trees and reunites with Zoe.

Tammy & Rachel make it to the Wall and run up the ramp to find the next clue box. "Roadblock: time to give your partner a hand." Tammy reads. Who didn't cross the river for the hotel key in India must pull their partner in a rickshaw a full mile west until they reach the checkpoint. The last team there could be cut from the race.
"Looks like I'm pulling you." Rachel says.
"Whatever." Tammy says. She sits down, Rachel grabs the bar and starts running. "First place, here we come!" As the Olympians continue to keep their lead strong, the Policefurs, twins, and fraternity brothers make it to the Great Wall next.
"Finally! A great time to use my powerful glutes to use." DeeDee says. Diesel sits down as his partner grabs the bar.
"Oh no. I have to pull it?" Kitty asks. "But what if my arms bleeds even further?"
I'm sure you'll be fine." Kit says. "Now, listen, are you gonna let a small injury get us cut from the race?" Kitty shakes her head. "I didn't think so. It's only a mile. I'm sure you can handle it."
"Hate to break the chat," DeeDee says, "but those frat bros are already ahead. We might want to get moving." She starts running west with her partner. Kit sits down and Kitty starts pulling her. Barbara & Eddy and Zoe & Patricia eventually show up and they get their next clue.
"Looks like I'm pulling you." Eddy says.
"Good." Barbara says, sitting down. "I was getting tired of pulling most of the weight anyways." Eddy starts to get angry, but pushes it aside. They still have a race to win. Eddy pulls Barbara and Zoe pulls Patricia down the Wall.
Meanwhile, at the checkpoint, Toner sits on his lawn chair asleep, not expecting teams to arrive for a while. So when he hears a rickshaw stopping and heavy panting, it takes him by surprise. "How the heck do you two arrive so early?" Toner asks.
"The cookie finding challenge was easy." Rachel says.
"Whatever. You're in first place."
"Yes!" Tammy says. "Gold is ours once again!" They walk off as Jasper & Mitch walk on.
"Hold up boys. Before you can officially check in, you have the Double U-Turn and this is your chance to use it." Toner says. He points at the U-Turn station and he hands the boys photos of the teams.
"I don't know." Jasper says. "What do you think, Mitch?"
"I say we shouldn't use it at all." Mitch says. "We've been flying under the radar for a while and bumping another team back would make us targets. Besides, we're in second place." That's when Tammy walks up to them.
"Listen boys, word of advice: as much as I'd love to get rid of the Policefurs, you might want to get Zoe & Patricia or Barbara & Eddy out." Tammy says.
"And why should we listen to you?" Jasper asks.
"Because I overheard them at the park, talking like they've been in an alliance." She turns back and walks away. "Just something for you to consider!" Jasper looks at Mitch. He nods, giving Jasper the ok. He puts him and Mitch's photo in the "courtesy of" box and a photo of the publishers in the Double U-Turned box.
"Fraternity brothers, you're in second." Toner announces.
Kit & Kitty- 3rd place
Diesel & DeeDee- 4th place
Barbara & Eddy and Zoe & Patricia keep running down the wall. "Are we almost there yet?" Zoe asks. Her arms grow tired.
"There's Toner!" Eddy points out. He steps on the rug first.
"Barabra & Eddy come in 5th." Toner says. Zoe & Patricia step on but Toner pushes them off. "Sorry, ladies. You've been U-Turned." He points to the U-Turn station.
"No!!" Zoe says.
"If I were you, I'd start running back if you even want a chance." Zoe & Patricia quickly turn back and run the other way. With four teams who have yet to check in, it's still anybody's game.

"Relax dude, I found one!" Milon says.
"Just hurry up and read it before something bad happens." Zax says. Milon crushes the cookie open.
"Great Wall of China. Let's go." The two of them take off as Zoe & Patricia come back.
"I can't believe this!" Zoe says.
"Calm down and start searching again!" Patricia says. Joey looks at the fountain and sees one at the top. She carefully climbs it and quickly grabs it before she can fall.
"I got one, Miles!" She says. She jumps to the ground and reunites with him.
"What's it say?" He asks.
"Go to the Great Wall." The vegetarians run off leaving the publishers and mountain climbers.
"Can you find any yet?" Becky asks.
"Nope. No luck." KiKi says. "Man, these things are hard to find." She looks inside some of trees and finds nothing. We have to keep searching, she thinks.
"Zoe! I think I found another one!" Patricia says.
"Really? Where?" Zoe asks.
"Near a..." She looks closer at a cookie on the branch. All of a sudden, something flies by it. "... a wasp's nest? Seriously?!?!?"
"Grab it! We don't have time!" Patricia inches closer to the nest, carefully reaching a paw out. She quickly grabs the cookie and falls to the ground.
"Run!!!" Patricia says. Her and Zoe take off as a swarm of wasps begin to form.
"Got one!" Becky says. "Now let's go!"

Zax pulls Milon and Miles pulls Joey down the Great Wall as the last two teams arrive. KiKi sits in the rickshaw and Becky pulls her. Patricia pulls Zoe this time since she did the last time. "Ouch!" Zoe says as she pulls a couple stingers out of her. "I've never been attacked by wasps like that before."
"Neither have I." Patricia says. "Do I have any on my back?"
"Nope. You're good."
"Did I hear you right? You two got swarmed by wasps?" Becky asks.
"Yep." Zoe says. "This race is starting to get on my nerves. Plus, we've been U-Turned. You know how annoying that is?"
"Someone found the Double U-Turn? Who?"
"Jasper & Mitch. They tossed us back to the start!"
"That must suck."
"It does."
Milon & Zax- 6th place
Miles & Joey- 7th place
"Only two teams left in this leg of the race." Toner says. "And here they come, now!" Becky & KiKi and Zoe & Patricia come into Toner's view. Patricia pulls with all her might and Becky strains to stay one step ahead of her.
"Almost.... there....!" Patricia gasps. When they're both a few feet away, she trips and falls, allowing the other teams to pull ahead.
"Becky & KiKi, you're in 8th place." Toner says.
"Yes!" Becky says. She and KiKi hop out and walk away. When Patricia gets back on her feet, she slowly walks her and Zoe onto the rug.
"Zoe & Patricia, I'm sorry. You're in last." Toner says.
"Awww, man!" Zoe says. "You mean I got stung a million times for nothing?"
"Well, not for nothing. Because this was a non-elimination round! You girls are safe. Now, I got the paramedics and they'll help you with your wasp stings." Two orange wolves go over to Patricia and Zoe and start helping them with their stings. "Well, no one went home, but I guarantee one of these crazy will leave tomorrow, right here on... the Amazing Race."
