For a human the weather of upper seventy degrees with fairly low humidity would have been prime for a nature hike. To Runt the weather meant ample playtime weather. Runt being the prime cause for the grouchy, sleep deprived Elliot's annoyance since it was his heels the pup was nipping at before bounding away when Elliot tried retaliating; childish puppy laughter mocking the poor human boy each time the pup danced out of reach. To the odd assortment of ursine with bothersome fur pelts: it meant ample on and off naptime until bellies rumbled or the day became cooler when dusk fell.

However since the party had to somehow finish trekking through Bicklebee Forest by the end of that day with all possibilities of unavoidable interruption time considered: spending the day doing what they wanted was an impossibility. Meaning everyone wasn't in the best of moods...especially since it hadn't even been two hours into their -so far uneventfully dull- journey and they were already lost. All responsibility for this issue goes to everyone since no one had the foresight to purchase a map. Everyone had assumed the other party would be in possession of one. Technology such as phones and GPS devices were also useless it seems.

All members of the small party were far too stubborn to admit defeat however.

Kai's mounting frustration was clearly heard in his typical gravelly growl undertone when he muttered "That's the third time we've passed that particular tree."

Elliot shot him a challenging glare filled with a heat that rivaled the surrounding temperature. "How do you figure?"

Kai matched the human boy's glare "If you weren't totally oblivious as you are stupid: you would clearly see the 'x' markers I've been leaving behind. The tree we just passed had three."

Elliot glances at said tree before about-facing and stalking towards Kai with fist clenched. Seems the boy finally had enough with Kai's antagonistic behavior and had finally worked up the nerve to confront the Ursaring. Both immediately began arguing whether or not the situation was bad enough to warrant that they deviate from the strict order of 'Elliot is always designated decision maker and path finder for the traveling party'

Wasn't that Elliot was doing a poor job being a leader. Quite the contrary since Elliot was functioning rather well despite the sleep debt and the weight of the double-edged sword weighing him down. This forest was just so maze-like that even someone with the most on-point intuition would find themselves getting lost without a map. The main problem of the situation between Elliot and Kai lay in the fact that the Ursaring didn't take kindly to any sort of authority besides Giratina very well.

Meanwhile the rest of the party all exhaled an almost simultaneous melodramatic groan before collapsing where they stood. Whether the action was directed at the irritating situation or present company was debatable. Maybe both? Whatever the case it was most obviously breaktime.

"Foooood" Taz and Rai whine as they both crawled on hands and knees off the dirt path that had long ago been worn into the soil by many passing travelers. Rose however easily foil the cubs silly attempt of escape before they could wander out of her reach. Rose then tosses the Teddiursa to Kai. An action that silences any word that Kai was going to say. The two exchange a meaningful glance while tears start to form in the corner of Rai's eyes as he reaches for his suddenly stone-faced sibling while mumbling "No" over and over again.

Elliot and Runt is understandably very confused by the sudden palpable tension. Runt is the quickest in voicing the question. "Something we should know?"

Taz slowly shakes his head while the other two ursine exchange silent but meaningful nods. Kai begins whispering soothing words in between the gentle consoling laps of the Teddiursa cub's face as they both enter the forest's dense underbrush to forage up some grub. The Teddiursa wails slowly getting fainter and fainter.

Rose was the one that answered the boy's question as Taz began offering nonsensical words of protest while frantically struggling to get away. "Rai simply doesn't like the hand circumstance dealt us."

"What circumstance?" Elliot and Runt immediately respond simultaneously.

"None of your damned business" Taz mumbles. Elliot and Runt glare furiously at the Pancham. Rose diffuses the potentially negative situation by taking a swipe at Taz's nose. In response the cub crosses his arms in a pout but it seems like he's going to behave...maybe.

Rose answers the boy's question. "See unlike our cousins: the Pancham evolution line are a solitary species. So much so that our cub's fathers are run off after mating. The only exception we have is for our young. Whom we consider holy and untouchable to no-one but us the first 18 months. Unless of course they hatch in human hands. Only problem is we can only rear one cub because our bodies don't supply enough milk for two. If twins are born we select the strongest of the two and abandon the other as soon as we can; weather we can find a substitute guardian or not."

Elliot's and Runt's mouth fell agape in abject horror. There was a brief moment of being rendered speechless before Elliot regained himself enough to recover and reply "Okaaay that's brutal. I guess that means you and Darkrai have made some kind of compromise? I don't yet see what that has to do with anything."

Up until this point Taz had been looking at the space in front of Rose's feet as if it held something interesting only he could see. Taz's expression becomes sad as he replies "It has everything to do with everything." There was a momentary silence as Taz found the best way to verbalize the next explanation. "As you already know Dialga wants to change history instead of repeating it like the Godslayer does. It was Dialga's reasoning for inserting Melena as a Mama's surrogate, among some other things without telling the Godslayer. The bastard thought he could get away with these changes as long as his actions were for the greater good. The cost of this incorrect assumption was not only your world: but a declaration of war between the pawns the neutral Legendaries control vs. the pawns that the Godslayer controls. In other words: you're not the only Elliot that's being fought over."

As the Pancham finishes up with the last statement his gaze trails upward before resting on Runt. "What do I smell like to you...besides my fingerprint scent and BO?"

Runt is momentarily knocked off balance being brought into the conversation out of the blue in such a weird way. Still he eventually leans forward just a little and takes a few quick whiffs and pondering just a little before answering "Pancham."

Rose's clenched fist begins glowing with a dark purple aura; but like usual Rose doesn't allow it to fully form into the visage of the standard Shadow Claw move. Taz lightly presses his fist against Rose's clenched fist. After the standard glow of his combat transformation he says to Runt "Now?"

Again Runt sniffs "Darkrai and Teddiursa"

In response to Runt's correct answer: Taz's paws move slowly to his waistband. The half-humanxhalf pokemon hybrid creature inhaling and exhaling as if psyching himself up to perform an undesirable action. When Taz hesitates for too long: Rose bats the cubs hands away and methodically peels Taz's pants away to reveal the briefs and short creamy brown fur that was hidden underneath. A reaching clawed finger quickly hooks onto the waistband to pull them with the pants though. The opposite paw doing something similar with Taz's shirt and hood attachment. Finally Rose's impatience seemed to get the better of her and they were all pulled free in one quick motion.

There wasn't a flash with Taz's transformation. Taz's ursine features slowly fall away as if they were attached to his clothes. When all was said and done: Elliot experiences the sensation of looking into a mirror at a younger version of himself. The 8 year old human boy that the mirror reflected back however was made tubby with muscle hardened fat though.

Elliot stared long and hard at his semi identical twin for a moment before slowly saying "I don't understand... I thought DP replaced all of your human DNA with Pokemon?"

Taz takes a moment to snicker before replying "They did. The Godslayer however decided that we needed the benefits my humanity brings. We all liked the new upgrades Dialga came up with too much to just discard them though. So he just replaced my Cubchoo DNA strands with slightly more of what I already had in me."

Seems Taz was going to completely ignore the sudden changes befalling Rose's demeanor and strange actions. Rose's eyes were half-lidded and out of focus. Rose's nipples had also spontaneously began lactating buckets. The most sickening of all to Runt and Elliot however was Rose's anatomy had began oozing it's special liquid down her legs.

A stone faced Taz once again settles his gaze back onto Runt. "What do I smell like now."

All Runt had to do was breathe through his nose to pick up the scent. This scent to him was just as potent as the underlying smell of the Pangoro's arousal "Just human. Two unique smells though. One musky teenager. Other just a babe. Can't pin down how many months or years."A deeper sniff "Babe not yet out of breast feeding stage though."

All was silent. All was still. Was as if the world was holding it's breath.

Enraged bestial screams heralded the arrival of four astral projections. The Maril, Snover, Pikachu, and Rufflet appear seemingly nowhere out from behind Elliot and Runt. Natural weapons glinting in the afternoon light. Eyes promising brutal violence. Elliot and Runt were too stunned to move or offer assistance.

In Rose's world the threat might as well not have existed.

Taz's expression just shifts into a mixture of boredom and annoyance the very same moment the boy wrenches himself out of Rose's grasp and charges forward to meet the threat head on.

Meanwhile a orange-brown blur flies out the treeline to tackle the Snover, while also somehow managing to clothesline the Rufflet and Pikachu before they could make it a handful of steps. Taz takes advantage of Paul's shocked surprise to tackle the Maril to the ground. Fist raised in warning.

When Paul tries to wriggle free: Taz motions towards the other ghost's direction and the back of the Rai currently whaling on the Snover with everything and anything his tiny clawed paws could dish out. The Pikachu's and a Rufflet's respective Thundershock and Metal Claw attacks couldn't even puncture the blood craze the Teddiursa was currently in. Was as if the teddy was immune to pain! Quickly Jerome evaporates into mist. Despite the numbers advantage Kate and Jasper are knocked out in mere seconds later.

Paul receives the underlying threat crystal clear and decides that it would be best to vanish without a word. Taz stares at the spot the Marill used to be for a moment before turning on his heel.

Taz's stomach chose this exact moment to loudly demand satisfaction.

Rose was suddenly upon Taz like a bird of prey that had been hovering above a poor defenseless rabbit. In one blink the cub finds himself into Mama bear's arms. The latter pretty much shoving the cub's bottle into his mouth; only relenting the uncomfortably firm pressure when Taz begins to nurse from her. Satisfied; Rose rewarded her rub with gentle cooing and light strokes and scritches wherever impulse took her paw.

If the standard pattern was followed then Taz would be stiff as a board and try to bat away the paws for the first couple minutes. After that however Taz will gradually melt under Rose's administrations and fall asleep; still eating. Rose didn't wait until then though; already beginning to set down the path once again.

Meanwhile Rai had finally settled back into his usual calm and busied himself with gathering his brother's clothes. Appeared as if Rai was about to follow after his sibling before his stomach chose this moment to gurgle; the sound making him pause mid-step. Revelation then touched the cub's eyes when he realized that he'd only managed a couple of bites of lunch before the scent of danger wafting from Taz's direction had summoned him back here. Rai's huff communicated his displeasure of being reminded of this fact as he gazed with longing at the place he once been and at the retreating figures; an obvious hard choice in front of him.

Kai chose this precise moment to exit the forest. The Ursaring was rubbing his belly contentedly, belching once loudly as soon as he was clear of the treeline. Kai seemed oblivious to the odd tension in the air and the bewildered stares he was receiving. Kai only paused once to toss the gift bindle -consisting mostly of fruits, various of berries, and nuts- to Elliot and the one full fish to Rai. Rai's eyes reflected his thanks and a hint of admiration before the Teddiursa dug into the offering with ravenous gusto. Both were taking their sweet time tromping after the rest of their dysfunctional family.

Elliot and Runt shared a befuddled glance and shrug as the boy dug around in his bag for something that would to make the 'gift bag' go down easier.

"Rapid transitioning from one extreme to the next. Reports were being a bit mild weren't they?" grumbled Kai as his protective grip on the Teddiursa in his hands grew a little tighter.

"Why does this crap always happen to me?!" whinned Elliot as he tried keeping all the horde of hissing Ekans and Arbok in his vision as the semicircle slowly closed in while our party attempted a slow retreat. Seems our party was on today's lunch menu.

Taz tried to ignore the fact that Rose was pretty much crushing his tiny Pancham form in her protective embrace as he says to no one in particular "Something tells me that punching or clawing these snakes would be counter productive." Taz catches Rai's gaze before saying "How good are you with your ice attacks?"

Rai's expression immediately becomes sheepish "The birthday of this body was your rebirth. Meaning I can only make a mean snowball or icecube. Take your pick."

Taz rolls his eyes and mutters "Figures."

This just happens to be the moment that Elliot snatches up Runt and bolts away like a frightened deer. The family of ursine blink in total disbelief at the resulting vapor trail the human boy left behind for a few moments before they all simultaneously declare"That little shit!"

A small group of Ekans and a single Arbok detach themselves from the main horde to pursue. Seeing this gives the Pangoro and Ursaring the same idea. The previously mentioned ursine both bolt in different directions without so much as a single word to each other.

The horde of Ekans and Arbok chosen this exact moment to lunge but by they missed all somehow missed their targets. There was a momentary moment of confusion as stumbled over themselves in order to right themselves. Another few precious moments were wasted as pursuit groups were coordinated before the chase could begin.

By this time however: Kai and Rai had hightailed it up a large tree. The horde of Ekans and the single Arbok were very confused as to why their prey would intentionally trap themselves. Still they weren't ones to complain about an easy meal. As a precaution a single young scout was picked out and sent up the tree. It's corpse came back to them in pieces. Two scouts were sent up next, this time hesitant. One came down in pieces like the first. The other came back down alive but had been chilled to the point where it was forced into hibernation until it could dethaw.

Seems Rai didn't give his Power Snow move enough credit.

The Arbok leader ordered his minions to climb the tree all at once. Not seeming to be smart enough to realize that the tree was too great of a choke point. Also seemed to totally miss the fact that even if the tree was overrun: all Kai and Rai had to do was take a leap of faith to the next one and wait for their opponents next move. Well if the dumbass Arbok wanted to send all of his troops to die instead of patiently waiting for their prey to inevitably climb down and make another break for it: that was his problem.

Meanwhile Elliot and Runt were doing quite well for themselves. Elliot ran. Runt spat Embers over Elliot's shoulder at any Ekans that was dumb enough to lunge forward close enough to get hit point blank range. All they had to do was keep running as the foe's numbers slowly dwindled to nothing or for the reptiles got bored.

Course it could never be that easy. Elliot was running out of gas. Not being helped because too many of his helpful spirits were trying to sap the energy required to manifest. Problem was, manifesting was impossible because every drop in the tank was going into Elliot's life-or-death sprint. Yet all the ghost in the doll were too blind from panic to see that they were going to be the boy's undoing. To further add to the irony. Even if one ghost did manage to manifest: the spectre would disappear as soon as Elliot fell asleep. Which would be any second now.

Every step Eliot made keeping his eyes open harder and harder. That consequently made seeing and avoiding the forest's obstacle course all the more difficult. Three times now the boy stumbled and almost fell because he'd fallen asleep on his feet; but managed to pick himself back up at the last possible moment.

A tree root finally ended Elliot's fight. The teenager's last thought was a brief word of thanks to the merciful gods that he'll sleep through the end. Hopefully Runt would be smart enough not to try anything heroic or the pup would join him. Elliot was so deeply concentrated on his own impending doom however that the boy didn't see the bright light that had began to emanate and consume Runt's body.

Elliot's fight might be over...but Runt's had just began.

It's just too bad this isn't their story. That showdown might've been interesting.

Rose and Taz were still running for their lives. However instead of going over or around obstacles: the fleshy bulldozer chose to ram straight through them instead. A logical person might assume that it was an intimidation tactic. Truthfully though: it was just the Pangoro way...that and Pangoros were notoriously slow runners so smashing through obstacles instead wasting precious seconds avoiding them was the only thing saving the panda-themed Pokemon.

"Are they far enough away now?" Taz asked impatiently, the anxiety weasling in his tone cracking his brave face as Ekan horde and three Arbok nipped at their feet like starving hounds would a rabbit.

Rose's answer came out as a gasp and wheeze "Yes."

Taz didn't even have to speak to summon the solid mass of shadow since it was already perched on his shoulder in it's standard form in the next blink of Rose's words. The swiftness of Rattata response forced Taz to bite his lip to stave off the sudden urge to smile slightly. Fortunately the situation they were all in made that urge easy to squash. Taz gripped the mouse's tail and brought him so close to his face that their noses touched as he muttered "No matter how hard I throw you-"

"-I will always come back to you." Nil finished for him.

This time Taz didn't try to hide the thin smile he ended up flashing before pecking Nil on the lips. Meanwhile Rose's hands lifted them both over her head so Taz could throw the payload of all those secret hours practicing shadow manipulation with Nil: his new boomerang. In the next moment a Arbok was lobotomized, free of charge...sadly the patient didn't survive the operation.

Dr. Nil didn't give the corpse so much of a backward glance; couldn't even if he wanted to. Didn't have time to pay his respects because a boomerang always returns back in the direction it'd been thrown from after only a certain range and delay. Besides there was no time for anything else anyway if the doc didn't want to be left behind by his naughty nurse.

Nil smacked against Taz's palm the same moment Rose suddenly fell to her knees, gasping for air as if she'd been submerged in water during the whole chase. No words were exchanged but Taz and Nil knew that they were going to be making their final stand in this wide and empty prairie. For this exercise Taz chose the safer option of his combat form, the only reason it was the safest option was because it was a tiny bit harder to swallow whole in one gulp.

"How do you wanna go about this Master?" whispered Nil before the rodent's throat made an unnerving hissing noise at the approaching mass of snakes. Course the hiss that the snakes replied back with was at least triple times more intimidating, though edge being slightly dulled with amusement.

Taz snorts before replying coolly "Same thing we've always done." Nil's eyes goes wide with panic as he interprets that vague reply as it's intended message: 'You watch my ass while I do something dangerously stupid' the exact same moment Taz begins sprinting full tilt at the dumbstruck mass of writhing snakes. Still panic and terror didn't stop Nil from stealing Taz's shadow and belting after him.

"What in the name of Giratina kind of serade issss thisss?" mutters the second-in-command king cobra as he watches with amazement as the strange creatures hacked two of his strongest minions apart during the time it took for the horde to recover.

The lead king cobra is faster to recover from shock, already coming up with the perfect strategy to counter this desperate last ditch gamble in the next blink. "Sssswarm them foolsss!" as he himself leapt forward...only to be stopped when something caught his tail in a bone crushing grip.

The Arbok had just enough time to glance up at a face that would've haunted his nightmares if not for the whole -being ripped apart into two gorey pieces by Rose's bare hands- thing. The end came so quickly that the Arbok didn't even hear Rose's loud, bellow of fury that was in the process of leaving Rose's throat the heartbeat before.

Taz and Nil both had plenty of time to blink and risk a glance behind them at the large hole in the earth that hadn't been there the moments before their charge. Both blinked rapidly at each other before Nil whispered "Did you even hear her Dig that hole?"

Taz shook his head.

"Neither did I...should be against the laws of physics for something that big to do anything that stealthy or quickly"

Taz says nothing but his audible gulp spoke his agreement.

However Rose didn't appear to be done showing off yet.

Rose lunges forward to tackle the last remaining Arbok. During that same moment the Pangoro's right paw spontaneously begins to emit a white glow. In the next millisecond, the white energy engulfs Rose's whole paw the moment she clenches into a fist. Before the Pangoro and stunned serpent hit the ground: Rose throws the primed Focus Punch on the ground below them. Immediately a crater that would have taken a good sizable heap of TNT was created in an instant; the sound of the sound barrier being broken, solid ground being transformed into rubble, and the screech of the resulting shockwave slicing through the air heralding its birth. Pebbles fell along with the Pangoro and Arbok into the abyss, both falling without so much as a sound other then an audible rough landing. A few of the Arbok's most loyal subordinates fell in after them moments later.

Took a little bit more than thirty seconds for the fighters to recover from getting picked up like rag-dolls and thrown dozens or so yards backward from their starting point. At this point both Taz's and Nil's eyes were nearly bugging out of their sockets as their agape mouths tried working to communicate their disbelief but failing as they continued to stare fixidly at that foreboding crater. Taz finally spoke in a low mutter when he felt wouldn't scream if he stopped biting his lip. "No wonder she only blocks and feins punches or kicks when she spars with Darkrai and I. She's too lethal to do any- Ahh!"

Taz was silenced when a Ekans latched onto his neck, just barely missing his jugular. As if sensing the cub's pain: Rose replied back with a bellow of fury that actually managed to vibrate more than just ear drums. Fortunately Zil dealt the snake a swift death before more damage could be done. Still there were still the remaining six out of ten hissing worms that needed to be dealt with.

These Ekans appeared to be made far wiser thanks the fallen since they silently coordinated themselves into a bait-and-switch tactics. Two Ekans would leap forward: one for Taz and Nil each. When the boy's would move to hack them apart like the last ones: the Ekans would easily stretch themselves out of reach to avoid the swipes while the other seven dealt punishment. Either by the Ekans opening their mouths to spray the pair with a wave of Poison Stings. Or the snakes would all lunge forward at once: mouths agape to chomp on whatever flesh they could latch themselves on.

A truly devastating combination because neither Taz nor Nil had the tools to do anything about it as they were now. All they had on them was their physical strength, claws, and teeth. No range attacks that weren't predictable since they already played that trump card already. What they needed was a change of tactics.

An idea start to form in Nil's mind.

"Elly!" Taz glanced at Nil just in time to catch the small mouse. Taz shrugged once before breaking into a run, moving to evade attacks as they came at him while they regroup. Before Taz could ask the obvious question, Nil answered "Sticks and stones Elly."

Took a few moments for Taz to wade through the fog of confusion and arrive at the answer Nil was hinting at. The idea was perfect like always and Taz had to blink away tears as a the stab of bittersweet nostalgia put the squeeze on his heart. Wasn't the time or place for that though.

Taz threw Nil, whom began shifting into his small boomerang form as soon as he became airborne. This attack was easily dodged by the Ekans just as was expected. This action was only performed to distract the horde long enough for Taz to hop into the hole that Rose had made earlier. Thirty seconds later the boy came out of the other side; clutching an armful of ole' reliable: rocks. The Ekans laughed at the silly boy's new toys...this action costing them one of their numbers when Nil sliced through the most unlucky one of them. The loss pulled the Ekan's gaze upward: watchful for the strange otherworldly weapon. Taz pulled their gaze back to him when he pegged one of the Ekans so hard with a rock that it knocked the snake unconscious.

The remaining horde cast a dumbstruck glance at the small not-so-helpless-as-he'd-previously- seemed boy. Thus allowing Nil to cut another one of their horde down in the process. Taz was grinning at them all, tossing the next rock up in the air before catching it in his palm. The boy kissed the rock once before beginning to windmilling it in his throwing arm with an expression that communicated that he didn't have a care in the world; as if all of this was just another day at the ballpark.

Such arrogance!

Meanwhile another snake bites the dust.

Fury surged through them all like a contagious heat; logic went out the window as they slithered forward to sate their bloodlust and empty stomachs!

Then a familiar monster sprung out the ground as if waiting for this exact moment to make it's debut. The frightening expression on Rose's face communicated that she had quite enough of the game they were playing. Another Ekan's death gasp caused the rest to flick their unblinking eyes at their remaining numbers. By now there was only a single Ekans out of the horde of ten that remained standing.

With an audible gulp the Ekans dove into the Earth with it's own Dig move: narrowly escaping the airborne mouse's fangs. Nil shifts back into Rattata form; looking at where the horde's remaining survivor had made it's escape with a pout that silently communicated he's unspoken words of "Aww man..." But verbally said nothing as he became one with Taz's shadow again until he was called again. Was time for a nap anyway.

Meanwhile Taz and Rose stagger over to each other before they both fall to their knees and roll onto their back; seemingly only able to pant and admire the unobstructed view of the clear blue sky. Both damp with the buckets of sweat the combination of heat and exercise squeezed out of them.

Taz's stomach chose this precise moment to rumble.

Taz's tone expressed his irritation as he growled out loud "Goddamnit I didn't think the bastard was serious!"

Rose's entire body shook from the brunt of the giggles being tickled out of her. Rose response came as she palmed the cub who was too tired to do anything other than squirm as she slipped his cloths off. "You wouldn't need to be refueled so much if you would just toss aside your modesty."

Taz snorts dryly before replying "I don't care what the first Taz done. There is no way in hell I'm fighting naked other than in private training sessions. I'll die of heat stroke first!"

Rose sighs exasperatedly but says nothing else; was way too tired to continue the rapidly aging argument. Besides the longer Taz wanted to talk, the longer it would take Rose to convince to stop fighting her and eat his snack. The additional body heat and the current weather probably did more to lull Taz asleep within a few minutes then Rose's soothing words and massaging away at Taz's suddenly tense muscles; but Rose liked to pretend.

After gathering Taz's clothes: Rose takes one final glance over her and her cub's handiwork, appreciative smirk slowly spreading across her face as she seemingly picks random direction and begin walking again.

Five minutes of walking later: Rose found the exit of the forest and had placed her back against a tree. There was nothing Rose could do but wait for the others to catch up besides watch Taz sleep and unwillingly breathe in that dangerous scent. Rose closed her eyes and placed hers and Taz's foreheads together; whispering so softly that she was pretty sure not even Taz would have been able to pick it up if he'd been awake. "You're not making this easy for me you know..."

Taz's only response was to mutter something incoherently in his sleep. During that same moment Taz repositioned himself so that he would be humping his leaking pride against Rose's chest fur instead of just empty air. Apparently so deeply engrossed in his wet dream that reality was the farthest thing from his mind.

Rose didn't want to take a bite out of the forbidden fruit. Went against everything Rose was as a mother. Taz's damnable human DNA wasn't giving her much of a choice though. You just couldn't fight programming for very long when it was so deeply ingrained into you. This fight between Rose's maternal instincts vs. darkest lust was drawing to a close. Rose hated the winner with everything she had.

Rose forgot her hatred once Taz's pride was drawn into her mouth and her paw traveled south to her own arousal. Mind was bursting with too many logic deafening fireworks and Rose had went far too long ignoring the powerful base need.

Even though it was getting harder and harder by the moment: Rose was painstakingly slow and gentle with her administrations. After all: didn't want to wake the still sleeping cub from something pleasant with the nasty boo-boo that her fangs would surely make if she wasn't careful. Especially something that vital. Still despite Rose's best efforts to take things slow and careful: the almost casual tongue licks, flicks, head bobs, and suction was getting more and more intense the closer and closer the pair was to orgasm. Mainly because Rose didn't want to overcome with orgasm before a measly cub.

Judging from Taz's almost furious instinctual humping and panting while pint after pint of pre-cum dribbled down Rose's gullet: that race was currently tied for first place.

Rose hadn't even consciously realized her paws had fled her own anatomy. The tratiourous paws were curretnly roughly massaging Taz's asscheeks. Nor did Rose realize a finger had slipped past Taz's inner walls and was probing a button only her past life had known about. If all that had escaped her attention: then the fact that Taz had a tight grip on her muzzle and the boy's eyes were too tightly closed as he slammed himself into her maw escaped Rose awareness completely.

Taz had to stifle a small shriek as his orgasm splashed over Rose's tongue. A shriek that went unheard over Rose's muffled roar as she too came hands-free. Rose had only managed a small taste of the reward for her efforts before she pitched forward as she passed out from sensory overload.

Taz fell into Rose's lap before the big monster keeled over. Now the boy was staring sleepy-eyed at the Pangoro as her tears splashed onto his face. The pain emanating from each one was like a suckerpunch to Taz's gut.

Taz wasn't stupid.

The boy long figured out Rose's inner demon even before it shown itself for the first time during the demonstration this afternoon. Knew without being told how powerful it was and just how much of Rose's will took to fight it. Sadly this was a battle whose victor was predetermined from the very start. Taz knew all that as fact. Simply because Taz was currently dealing with a similar demon. With Rose now safely knocked unconscious for who knows how long:

...Now was a good time as any to face it.

Taz stared long and hard at the object of his internal suffering the past couple of weeks. However Rose had done too good of a job emptying out his balls. What Taz had dreamt about for weeks of doing wasn't on the list of activities to do today it seems since Taz only received a flicker of desire no matter how long he stared at Rose's feet.

Still that didn't mean Taz couldn't or wouldn't return the favor. Besides Taz would do anything to stop his Mama's sorrow. Even do something that was distasteful to his own logical reasoning.

Taz easily parts Rose's legs to gain access to the small parting of flesh that most men would sell their very souls for. Taz was different for obvious reasons. In normal circumstances; if a female had the nerve to flash her anatomy at him: Taz would've make a 'bleh' face and flee in the opposite direction.

Right now though Taz felt a numbness similar to that of an out of body experience as he leaned forward for a small taste. Pausing when the powerful scent of feminine musk hit him like a slap in the face. So intense was this smell was that the full brunt of it forced Taz to withdraw so he could literally shake away the sudden dizziness that overcame him and regroup.

Wasn't horrible per se as far as sweaty nether regions go. Was more of the difference in the scent of male and female anatomy that surprised him. Two totally different blends of spices that Taz wouldn't be able to place which one was sharper unless sniffing straight from the source side by side. It was only now that Taz realized he hadn't actually expected there to be a smell at all other then one at least similar to his own.

Taz almost pulled the plug on the entire operation then and there...but some strange impulse pulled him back in. Grimacing a little when the idea of what he was about to do caught up with him. Still Taz took a passing swipe along Rose's lips with the gentleness of a butterfly.

Flesh, sweat, and pubic fur. That about sums up what Taz tasted. Scratch that...there was a little of something else...something beyond the the expected saltiness and musk. Was that a touch of bittersweetness buried within everything else? Remnants of Rose's past orgasm perhaps? Taz was a bit intrigued by this unexpected taste. There was only one way to discover if that bitterness ever left that sweetness alone.

A shiver, groan, and moan froze Taz quicker than any stun gun would have.

A quick diagnostic glance of Rose's body language however told him that the Pangoro was still asleep. A sigh of relief escaped Taz before he could stop it in time. Rose's thighs were suddenly back, putting the squeeze on Taz's head. During the same moment there was another groan with a added sigh as Rose fell slowly fell onto her side before falling on her back; consequently taking the human boy with her.

During all of this Taz's whole body had became stiff as a board...well not the human's entire body; even though that would make this exercise a bit more easier on the boy. When nothing happened for a full minute: Taz swallowed past the sudden lump in his throat and began the exercise anew.

Taz proceeded to lick his plate, a few timid swipes at first. The tightness squeezing both sides of Taz's head increased as pants and moans of uncontained pleasure began bouncing of his ears like music notes was Taz's reward. Taz used those encouraging sounds to become a bit braver. Delving straight in the parting of flesh's hidden depths with more gusto instead of diminishing. The small taste Taz experienced on the outside was a helluva lot more potent on the inside. Still Taz tried not to let it mess with his concentration as he attempted a thought that he'd had right before all of this: perhaps maybe the phrase 'a hole is a hole' had more than just one meaning?

Clockwise and counterclockwise swirling motions the tongue. A gentle mouthing of sensitive flesh here. A gentle mouthing of flesh there. Lots of suction. Some tongue thrusting thrown in far inbetween the clockwise and counterclockwise swirling motions. The combination of all this stimulation had the Rose spasming, panting, and moaning as if she'd been plugged directly into an outlet that held pleasure instead of electricity.

The Pangoro's reactions to the stimulation was actually kind of amusing and kinda pleasurable to Taz in a non-sexual sense. In Taz's mind; all he was doing was taking care of a need of a kind stranger who'd taken care of all of his needs without asking for anything in return. Which was a big deal because just how much bullshit that person had to wad through to do that. Was only right that Taz would give them something nice in return, a very much needed massage or scratching away a pesky out of reach itch for example. The metaphor may sound funny to some but it was the truth.

Taz was just about to give his finger a partner when Rose began roaring, far louder than the previous orgasm. Taz only knew that this roar was far louder because this one made his ears ring even though Rose had long made him deaf with the vice-like squeeze she'd long ago began applying to his ears. For a moment Taz entertained the ridiculous notion that he was going to die from whatever came first: Either by having his head popped like a measly grape. Or by drowning under the constant torrent of the almost sickly sweet tasting feminine fluid; quite possibly his own blood when Rose's pussy finally succeeded trying in it's attempts to rip his tongue out.

Suddenly Rose's muscles went lax while her legs slowly spread wide apart. Leaving Taz free to finally greedily gulp in air like a fish out of water while simultaneously coughing out whatever fluid that had rudely took residence in his lungs without his permission. The clawed paw smacking against Taz's back a few times did help help a little in clearing it.

When oxygen finally had an unobstructed pathway to Taz's brain: he realized that Rose was now awake and they'd both done something that could very well jeopardize their rapidly blossoming relationship. Taz risked a glance at Rose's face. Big mistake since those dark pools reflected his own blend of mixed emotions back at him: terror, guilt, shame, confusion, joy, hope, and another emotion that Taz couldn't identify.

"Why?" The question was said blankly, low, throaty, and scratchy coming out of the Pangoro's seemingly strained throat.

Taz's sarcastic snort clashed with the beaming smile he couldn't kill even if he inflicted pain on himself. "Because I wanted to dumbass." A pause before the smile faltered as nervousness took it's place "That and I kinda-sortof been dreaming about playing with your feet for the past week as odd as that sounds...didn't really know how to ask though without making our weird relationship even weirder." Another pause "This is okay with you right? Taking care of each other's needs this way?"

In response Rose began bawling her eyes out as she bear hugged Taz so close to her that he was seemingly consumed by her flesh and fur. Somehow simultaneously washing the top of his head with kisses. When that became boring: Rose began kissing Taz's whole naked body. The fur tickling Taz so badly that he was nearly in tears from laughing so hard as he tried futilely to get away.

Finally Rose calmed down to functioning levels. After a few moments of drawing in dearly missed air: Taz grumbled to himself "I'll take that as a yes...Goddamnit I really hope I didn't just make your over-possessiveness even worse"

Rose said nothing in response, was far too busy gently nuzzling against and giving her most precious treasure the tongue bath of a century. When the ridiculous amount of affection grew too much for the human to bare without embarrassment and awkwardness setting in: Taz tried to wriggle free. That only rewarded him with a growl and the tightening of Rose's grip to a near painful degree; the action quickly halting Taz's struggles again.

Finally after many minutes of this behavior and listening to Taz's muffled childish giggling and halfhearted protest. Rose suddenly stopped with the shows of affection; but still held Taz close as she bent her head low enough so she could tickle Taz's ear with the gentlest whispers "Soon I'll make you dream about more than just my feet... that is a promise." Rose's following low mischievous guffaw shook them both as Rose said "I'm quite sure I'll have plenty of help fulfilling that promise."

A full bodied shiver traveled across Taz's spine as unintelligible gibberish tumbles past his lips as heat that had nothing to do with the weather began to suffocate the poor boy. Rose wasn't helping cool him down in the least with the way she was nibbling on the boy's neck in a particular way that had the tiny human moan audibly once before he was able to stick the proverbial foot in his mouth.

Suddenly the mass of huggable fluff all at once shifted into large mass of hardened muscle with the pliability of steel as savage besteial rumbling shook Taz's entire body harder than any earthquake. Before the boy could ask the most obvious question: Rose answered it with enough vehemence that could instantly spoil the most freshest milk "I'm pleased you won your challenge and all...but how long exactly have you been standing there and watching us? You're seriously ruining our moment here!"

Taz hears the rustling of underbrush, the snapping of twigs, and the crunching of dirt as the long dead spectre replies:

"That last part was what I was trying to avoid by being sneaky...Just long enough to seriously reconsider my son's sexuality and then hear something that made me realize he just doesn't give a shit about stupid labeling when he sees something that tickles his fancy. He's a lot like me in that respect."

At first Taz is too stunned to move; let alone breathe. Finally though Taz gains enough nerve to seizes a handfuls of Rose's fur and begins to scale the massive furry wall. Rose grimaces and mumbles a nearly inaudible protest voicing her dislike of having her fur yanked at but says nothing else. Taz likely wouldn't hear her anyway since the protest was voiced during the moment that the boy's locked eyes with the beaming face of his father:

Paul Nathanial Braxter in the flesh. Alive and kickin'

Paul was clothed in a pair of white sweatpants with a pouting Teddiursa perched on one shoulder. A baby blue muscle shirt -obviously soaked through with sweat- was draped haphazardly over his other shoulder; the rest of Paul's torso was bare of anything besides a heavy coat of sweat and chest hair.

Something that Taz obviously didn't give two shits about since in the next blink both father and son were rolling around in the dirt from the momentum of Taz's tackle. The tumble and musky man sweat not seeming to put a dent in Taz's enthusiastic nuzzling and vice-gripped full bodied hug while he was loudly bawling his eyes out into Paul's chest .

Even though Paul was currently wheezing from the force of the impact (and maybe a bit from strong emotion?) : the once dead man reaction was an exact mirror to that of his son's. The only key differences being that he was more emotionally prepared and sturdy so that he was only hiding sobs in his boy's hair as he repeatedly kissed the top of his head. The fact that his son was stark naked and had been supernaturally turned into an eight year old boy didn't seem to halt his hands from etching a map of his child's body; the touch completely innocent and nonsexual of course.

"What's got you grumpy?" This sentence being from Rose to Rai as he approached her.

A sound that Taz recognized as a sigh escaped from Rai as he replied "None of your damned business!" When Rose growled in warning: Rai exhaled in a sigh before responding in a conspiring mutter that still couldn't hide lowly growled undertones "Sorry... I'm just beginning to think I'm just destined to either stay an orphan or passed around like some damned whore."

When father and son were reminded that they weren't the only ones in the world: pop went the bubble that was their touching reunion. Using the very same speed that Taz demonstrated in launching himself at Dad: Taz snatched up his pile of forgotten clothes and zoomed up a nearby tree with the grace of a spider monkey instead of human. The tree began to shake from both Taz's shifting to put his clothes back on and the shakes one experiences when one is overwhelmed with strong emotion. Taz was experiencing too many at once however to feel anything other than numbness...at least for the moment.

The two ursine and human sigh in exasperation.

Silent glances are exchanged as if words are passing between the trio. Only a moment passes before Rose gets up from her very comfortable sitting position to stand, walk the couple of steps necessary, snap the tree with a seemingly sturdy full grown human wingspan with nothing but her biceps, and begin shaking it like a baby would a rattle. Eyes and ears at attention for any signs of a falling cub.

Paul gulps audibly when unpleasant imagery flashes past his mind's eye "That reminds me of of a question I've been dying to know: Why doesn't she just climb trees instead of doing that?"

Rai also gulps and starts to shake uncontrollably when a similar unpleasant imagery flashes across his mind's eye "R-Rose has terrible p-phobia of h-heights. D-doesn't remember why but I'm told i-it's because she's l-lost too many loved ones from death from falls. O-obviously the phobia stuck with her after her rebirth. Although it's now labeled as irrational."

A companionable silence fell briefly over the party; broken only by the sounds of Taz's protest and colorful insults, seemingly to mixing well with Rose's scoldings, whispered promises of punishment, and tree abuse. That is until "So this is why you were taken. Here I thought it was because of other reasons."

Rai and Paul cast a glance towards the shifting underbrush and the figures now coming out of it: Elliot, Runt, Trevor whom was currently wielding Colby in his right hand.

"Is that a Houndoom or race horse?" questions Rai shocked disbelief coloring his inflection as child wonder glimmered visibly in his eye and expression. The boy was obviously commenting on Runt's new form and size. The fact that the boy was only slightly over exaggerating would have made the statement humourous if the Dark Pokemon wasn't unbelievably terrifying looking. The fact that the new horns raking along Runt's back were just as unbelievably large and add in the new steely gaze and then you would have a rather intimidating looking monster.

Runt snickered but that was the only response Rai's statement received. Seems like the others were much too focused on the dead man standing among them. Even Rose and Taz were as silent as the grave; apparently equally as interested in Paul's response.

Paul flashes a grim smile "You're half right in more than one way." Elliot, Trevor, and Runt open their mouths to ask the obvious but Paul was already explaining "I'm both the Paul from this dimension and yours merged into one being. Turns out your psychotic but well meaning overseer needs both me and Blake alive because of how detrimental we both are to yours and Taz's growth. Problem is with your planet turned to dust Elliot: this is the only way the most important players can make it to the end of the story."

When Paul paused for too long: Trevor asks through gritted teeth, seemingly only barely holding himself back from throwing himself at Paul "You have only moments to explain before I and Colby lose it"

Paul nods and relaxes the tension of his body, apparently he'd been expecting a more violent reaction and was visibly knocked off kilter when it didn't happen. "It's bit of a long story."

"We have time" was everyone's reply.

Paul cleared his throat once before beginning his explanation: "The short summary is that I'm the key reason why Elly turned into the Taz. Just as Melena is the key reason for the Elly that's next to you turning into what he is. The battle that took place that ugly day of their awakening was actually a violent unintentional seance. Only difference is I won the possession battle in this dimension. Since I was in Taz's body at the time: his supernatural awakening became mine own. Problem was I was dead and became very weak from that day. I needed a host who wouldn't mind working with me if I was discovered. Marci immediately came to mind so I went to find her and wait til I was strong enough to establish contact and awaken her. Thing was during my wait I found someone a lot better. More importantly: expendable. That person was Blake."

There was an almost audible sound of puzzle pieces being fitted into place.

"So if you're gone...does that mean Blake no longer has his new sword or control over his full potential?" This question was from Trevor.

"Blake still has all of what I gave and would have eventually in time. The Godslayer made sure to take care of everything before I left." was Paul's reply

An awkward silence fell

Suddenly Rai, Paul, Trevor, Colby and Taz suddenly shift to full alert mode as the three of them look in different directions: Paul and Trevor to the sky and Taz and Rai into the forest at their backs. The silent question the remaining few not in the know isn't left unanswered for long.

"Blake is coming" mutters Paul and Trevor with an added unique curse "Crissy and Giz are coming" says Taz and Rai, Taz with a completely uncaring manner and Rai with barely held back excitement. All say simultaneously "And fast"

Paul catches Elliot, Trevor, and Runt inquisitive gazes before saying while in a tone held a warning intensity that said that there would be no argument "Flee into the city that's literally straight ahead. Take on the gym and leave ASAP. Thanks to my unforeseen appearance and actions:their attention should be focused solely on the rest of us."

Mouths open to once again ask the obvious questions in front of them.

"GO!" shout the Tazmanian Devil party, the underlying panic in each of their voices force the Mini Me Protege party into the unwanted action after only after a few more moments of hesitation.

There was no time for planning. No time for words. With the speed, numbers, and combined strength of the approaching foes: there was only one possible course of action that didn't involve death or pain.

Taz jumps into Rose's arms. Rai leaps into Paul's arms. Father and son exchange glances filled to the brim with gut wrenching lounging and sadness. Brothers share a similar exchange as they both reach out for each other. This gesture happens the very same moment Rose turns and sprints to meet the Light faction halfway. Paul likewise books it towards the sirens call of the Dark faction. All the Tazmanian Devil party members look grim as if they are swallowing back tears while they simultaneously say:

"We surrender. Give us orders and we will follow them to the letter. As a warning: just know that we will defend ourselves and each other, even if that means we die trying in the process."

Both karmic faction pause as they hesitate to consider this, they nod, and accept the ursine into their midst.
