Kaslur must have left while Hudson and I were in Iraq because he was no where to be found when we returned to the temple. Consequently, Corey didn't believe me when I said that we had a several million years old skeleton who knew Siazach inside and out that was on our side. I showed Corey most of the temple that night, as tired as I was from transitioning between two species twice in the same night. Corey didn't seem to think every thing I was showing him was 100% real, in particular Master Otani's lecture on the true age of the Earth and what he said, "how God actually works", and in his defense, I didn't believe most of Otani had to say on that matter. I thought it was just a little too far up shit creek to be true, but that was neither here nor there.

Over the few weeks that Kaslur was AWOL, Corey and Hudson focused on getting on par with them. They put me through a little PT, weapons courses, well, weapons that they could use that I could as well, grenades, smokes, Nine Bangs, things of that nature. Tyranny showed me all the ins and outs of using the draco weapons more efficiently and how to take care of them. At the end of the course, I could almost out shoot Tyranny and Hudson, but Corey was of little challenge. I had also come to the point where I could hold my own against Tyranny and Corey in hand to hand, but not Hudson, holy shit that man was strong. He could tie me around a tree if he felt like it, but again, that is neither here, nor there.

One morning, I joined the gang down at the rec area where Tyranny made an announcement.

"My buddy called me this morning", he said, "our CZ-57 is ready and waiting for us at the Tarmac of the local airport.

"I can't wait to see this thing", Hudson said, "C-910 Pontoons aren't exactly small planes to begin with, I know because I used to own one."

"What model year was it?", Corey asked.

"89", Hudson said, "twin turbo V8 driving each propeller."

"What kind of MPG were you getting out of it?", Corey asked.

"I was getting 13 miles a gallon", Hudson said, "two 57 gallon tanks."

"Good for a decent amount of happy fun time", Corey shrugged.

"Keep your foot out of the throttle", Hudson said.

"If our plane is ready shouldn't we get going then?", I asked.

"Probably", Hudson said.

"How you guys thinking your going to come?", Corey asked, "I doubt the security at the airport is going to let two dragons, who don't technically exist, just get a ticket and get on the plane."

"I already talked to Master Otani about that", Tyranny said, "he's going to put a spell on us that will make us human just long enough to get to the airport and get on the plane."

"Ugh", I groaned, "again? I've had enough of species hopping for one life."

"It's only for a while sweetheart", Tyranny said nudging me.

"I don't care", I sighed, "it takes a lot out of you to be doing that."

"How bad can it be?", Tyranny asked.

"Oh you have no idea", I huffed, "but lets go any way, the sooner it's done the better."

Tyranny and I walked from the Rec area down to the spell room were Tyranny's friend Ditch and Master Otani were waiting for us. Master Otani had us stand in a circle and then opened a book as Dicth's markings started to glow. Master Otani said something in Japanese that Ditch repeated. Ditch's Markings began to pulse as he repeated the words, then his eyes began to glow, then the circle at our feet began to glow. Ditch repeated Master Otani's words for a final time and there was a flash of blue light as Tyranny and I became humans. I was sporting the same attire as last time, black camouflage Combat shirt, black combat pants, boots and sunglasses, while Tyranny, who had become a 6 foot tall, skinny, blonde haired green eyed man, was wearing a tuxedo.

"I can't help but notice the Vietnam Vet of the pair is dressed for a wedding", Ditch said between heavy, deep breaths, sounding as if he had just gotten done running a marathon, "and the circus performer is missing her M16."

"Yeah why is that?", Tyranny asked, "ya screwed up brother."

"Chew my ass later Ty", Ditch said, "right now, I feel like I could fall over and die."

"You use too much of your energy on the spell", Master Otani said, "you need to learn proper regulation of your abilities."

"Oh shut it Lee", Ditch said, "ain't no one got time to learn all the things you wanna teach us about magic and shit."

"Maybe if you would quit being irresponsible and take the time to learn the "shit", Master Otani said putting emphasis on the word "shit", "maybe you might not drain yourself every time you cast a spell."

"Shut it you wind bag", Ditch said leaving the room.

Master Otani shrugged and turned to us, "you should keep better company Tyranny."

"Hey Ditch is like a little brother to me", Tyranny laughed, "no way I'll ever walk out on him. So how long will these spells last?"

"They will wear off once you are airborne", Master Otani said, "you should get going if you want to make your plane."

Tyranny and I bowed and then went out to Hudson's Camaro where He and Corey had just finished packing everything up. We piled in with Tyranny and I in the back and Corey riding shotgun. The ride down the mountain was fun with all of the extra weight in the back. Hudson didn't really have to wind it out to get it to move, in fact it was the opposite. He stated that there was so much extra weight in the back because of our weapons, that the rear wheels had better grip, which translated to better acceleration. The ride to the airport was rather short. When we arrived, a man in a black suit told Hudson to go to the hangar directly in front of us. Hudson thanked the man and drove his Camaro across the runway and into the hangar were Kaslur, dressed in rather light looking equipment, was there waiting for us. He had a small leather bag at his side that was glowing with a slight blue tint, another thing I didn't fail to notice was the plane.

It was a twin engined, jet turbine craft with a sleek, matte tan finish with a red stripe and a black "Ransol Engineering", On the tail fin. There where what looked like barrels sticking out of each wing, three in each one, what looked like rocket pods underneath them. There was also a barrel about as big around as a coke bottle sticking out of the nose. Kaslur seemed pretty impressed with it.

"Is that a cannon sticking out of the nose?", Corey asked as we exited the car.

"Yep", Kaslur said, "it's also got six fifty caliber machine guns, two Bofus 20mm cannons and a rocket pods on each wing, essentially what this is is a smaller, faster, albeit, not as tough, Warthog."

"Good enough for me", Hudson said, "let's get this stuff packed away."

We unloaded the contents of the car into the AFT compartment of the plane and then boarded it. It had a Cryptic Gray interior with two tables on the left side an a couch and small cooking area with a microwave oven and mini fridge. Metal trim rounded out the upholstery quite nicely and a bar of LED lights ran along the ceiling. There were two large containers in the walls close to the cockpit where we stored most of the weapons and the cockpit itself, as far as Hudson put it, "was as close to a Bugatti Veyron as you could get without having a Veyron. The seats were the same ones that Hudson had in his Camaro and so were the seat belts. The steering wheel was out of a Veyron and had the sand Logo on it as the tail wing did and there weren't that many gauges on the panels, which were brushed aluminum.

"Alright", Hudson said sitting in the pilot's seat, "lets get this bird in the air."

Hudson gave the key a turn and brought the engine to life. He idled it out to the runway where we were given permission to take off. Hudson started down the tarmac, gradually gaining speed and eventually lifting off.

"Next stop Russia", Kaslur said.

"Hey Kaslur", I asked.

"Yes?", he answered.

"What exactly did you go and get?"

"The Veil Amulets", he said.
