Have signed up for some temporary seasonal work on the farm!

it doesn't go quite how they had envisioned

Stifling a yawn, Nox followed the instructions he'd been given by the employment agency and the horse manning the gate. He had walked around the perimeter of the exciting looking fayre and entered the realm of the actual farm. It looked like the fayre covered a very small part of the farm's acreage, the paddocks and yard beyond the last bright tent smelt of straw and animals, machine oil and dust. It wasn't entirely unpleasant but no comparison to the sweet scent of sugary treats, roasted snacks and delicious food coming off the fayre ground. Looking around, Nox headed toward the huge barn that that dominated one end of the farmyard and pushed open the door that led into a small annex attached to the side. Like he had been told, it was unlocked and led into a sort of changing room.

With sleepy eyes, he looked around the empty room and moved to sit on the bench in the middle, slumping against a pillar and contemplating having a nap whilse he waited for the others to arrive. He was feeling somewhat apathetic toward a job that sounded like it was going to be nothing but physical labour. Still it was only temporary and should pull in enough cash for him to afford the rather extensive list of nice things he wanted to buy for Christmas. Looking around the room, the young platypus rubbed a webbed paw against his downy chin as he searched for the promised drink machine. There were walnut lockers fixed to the wall, a door leading into a shower block and perched atop a wooden cabinet the holy grail of all devices, a real coffee machine!

Jumping up, the platypus set to work with gusto, suddenly filled with energy that a moment before had been entirely absent. He dug through the pockets of his puffy bomber jacket, retrieving a small cannister of freshly ground coffee beans and poured the fine powder into the filter. He'd come prepared when the agency said a real coffee machine would be provided for breaks. A water cooler provided water and the fridge built into the cabinet beneath the machine provided milk to steam. Making coffee was Nox's passion and making it right was important. He was a barista in his day job and well, if he needed to take a temp job to make the ends meet, at least there was going to be good coffee before he had to spend a day breaking his back in physically demanding labour. He'd just finished brewing the first set of espressos when the door opened and two other young men walked in. One was an otter with light brown hair wearing a heavy turquoise hoodie with a fluffy collar, plain brown corduroy trousers and snug snow boots. His companion was a grey and white house cat in a blue hoodie and jeans with no shoes, they put his scruffy old bomber jacket, black jeans and ragged t-shirt to shame. But Nox had hardly dressed nice for a farm job, he smiled at them both and waved them over with an enthusiastic...

"Hey, you part of the temp crew too?"

The otter nodded and bounded over excitedly, "Yeah, they said someone else had already arrived. I'm Jason - is there enough of that coffee to go around?"

"Yup, I made enough for everyone," Nox handed the brown-haired otter a cup before turning to offer one to the grey and white cat in a blue hoodie lurking shyly behind the otter, "You too kitty."

The feline started at being called kitty, his ears perking forwards before he hesitantly reached out a paw to accept the cup of coffee, "Thanks, I'm Felinus, nice to meet you mr...?"

"Nox, just Nox, no mister needed, so you two part of my work gang then?"

"Yup, that's us," Jason quipped, "Menial labour gang extraordinaire, though I'm not sure why such a big farm as this place needs temp workers. You'd think they had enough staff."

"The agency said the farm needs extra hands to do some of the more menial tasks whilst the fayre is on," Felinus offered with a shy smile at the energetic otter, sipping his coffee slowly, "Oooh this is good, thanks Nox..." he took another, longer gulp and sighed at the rich, creamy taste.

"You're welcome," the platypus said with a grin, "I suspect a lot of their regular workers get to go play at the fayre as a reward. I hear this place treats its staff well so they probably get a nice break from the drudgery and we get to do it instead."

"That is right yes," a soft, rumbling voice announced from the door, a shadow fell across the three men and they looked up into the broad, friendly features of a large black furred horse, "I'm Windsor, and I'm in charge of our little team."

"Nice to meet you," Nox said, looking over the horse with interest, he was tall and dressed in a heavy pair of denim over-alls with leather patches on knees and elbows. He had black fur and a short cropped mane that curled around his neck and shoulders, his eyes were brown and bright as he shook the platypus' hand.

"Now then boys, if you'd all like to get changed," he motioned toward a series of lockers, "We can get started, I assume you were all told what the work would be like?"

"Manual labor," Felinus said with a grin, opening a locker and pulling out a pair of overalls that were much like Windsor's, unzipping his hoodie he stripped quickly and pulled the sturdy denim on over his legs, "It'll be fun to do some honest work for a bit, beats being in a shop."

Laughing, Windsor slapped the cat on the shoulder then helped him adjust the overalls, "That's the spirit, it might not be glamorous work but it's certainly rewarding," he turned and looked at the otter and platypus who were changing and nodded in approval. It was nice to have temp workers who weren't squeamish about getting changed or wearing working gear. Once everyone had changed and stamped into the heavy work-boots the horse had left out for them, he opened the door leading into the main barn.

"How did you know what sizes we needed?" Jason asked as he followed the horse, he peered around the gloomy barn with interest then looked up into the horse's smiling face, "That was either seriously good luck or someone's been spying on us."

Laughing, Windsor picked up a large pitch-fork and waved it at the otter boy, "Hardly, the agency knows all your details, it saves time and effort if we can have everything ready on our end. It's why their forms are so detailed, now then grab a fork and and follow me."

Nox looked at the other two, shrugged, grabbed a pitch-fork and followed the black horse across the barn. He clambered up a ladder into the hay loft and motioned for everyone to follow him. The loft was filled with bales of hay stacked haphazardly atop one another, reaching almost to the rafters.

"So the task is quite simple," Windsor said, plunging his fork into a bale, "Fork 'em and..." he turned and heaved and hurled the baleover the edge of the loft. It fell and thumped into the the back of the sturdy tractor trailer parked below the loft, "That's it, we need to move the whole lot down, once that trailer is full I'll move another one into place."

Jason dug his pitchfork into a haybaleand strained to move it, panting, the otter paused and glanced at the larger horse. Windsor was smiling at him and shook his head, "Take your time, lift them slowly and carefully and try to aim them into the trailer, if you miss, it's not a big deal, these bales shouldn't fall apart."

"Ok..." Felinus said, the slender house cat dug his pitchfork in and heaved, it lifted and he carefully turned and dropped it over the edge. He was panting by the time he was done, sweat slicking his brow, but he was grinning wildly as he leant over the edge to watch it fall, "That is really satisfying."

Nox frowned dubiously but shrugged and joined the otter in moving a hay bale, they were bloody heavy, but with straining back and arm muscles and slow, steady steps the platypus shifted it to the edge and tipped it over. Nowhere near as showy or flashy as Windsor's smooth, well practiced movements but it worked and got the job done! It left the platypus feeling icky, his sweat mingled with the waterproof oils in his fur and left his denim over-alls clinging to his body, but hey, it did feel satisfying to hear the hay bales go thump into the trailer.

Smiling at each other, the three temp workers started to put their backs into it, heaving hay bales up, straining, sweating, grunting as they swung and rolled and dragged them off the pile and tossed them over the edge. Turning carefully with another bail of hay, Jason realised that something was different, it felt so much easier to move all of a sudden. The otter turned and heaved, his shoulder muscles bunched and rippled and with a satisfied grunt, he hurled the hay over the edge. Turning back to stab his fork into another bale, he felt the fabric of his overalls catch, his shoulders were straining at the material, everything suddenly felt tight and hot. Squirming slightly Jason turned to observe the others and licked his lips in appreciation of what he saw. Nox had stripped off his overalls to the waist, leaving his bare chest gleaming with muscles as he carried on tossing hay. He was big, shoulders wide, muscular, arms thick and strong and his fur looked shorter, coarser, he was certainly changing.

Felinus, meanwhile, was growing stockier, his clothing was hanging off his suddenly smaller body but what he now lacked in height he made up for in strength. His wiry body was corded with hard muscle and he seemed capable of easily tossing hay with his fork as if it was nothing. Jason grunted and turned back to the work, he had to keep at it, Windsor was watching him but it was growing harder to focus. Between one motion and the next, Jason snorted and shrugged his shoulders, tearing the seams of his overalls, muscled bulk bursting out of them as he hurled hay over the edge. Sweat ran down his body, seeming to wash away his brown fur, leaving behind tufts of grey fluff as he worked. Shaking his head and shifting his balance to compensate for his new, rope like tail Jason turned to watch as Felinus stripped off his clothes entirely.

The baggy, too big garment was kicked aside and the wiry, densely muscled cat stabbed his fork into one of the last hay bales and clung to it. His soft, curly white fleece finished growing in and he sank to his knees, bleating as his cock rose and horns pushed their way out from behind his floppy goat ears. With an excited bleat, he heaved the hay bale over the edge, his muzzle warping from feline to ungulate, his new snout flaring as he breathed in the heavy scent filling the barn and focussed his eyes on Jason and Nox. The former platypus shifted his feet, his new hooves clomping on the wooden boards as he set his broad, changing shoulders against the last few bales and heaved them toward the edge.

Jason dropped his fork and staggered forward on his new hooves, his thick, muscular thighs split the seams of his overalls as he shook his new ears out of his eyes and helped Nox push and heave and shove the hay. It tumbled over the edge and Jason slipped back onto his rump and threw his head back as his muzzle shifted. It felt so weird and yet good, just right in fact as he "HeeHawed" through the last trembling shifts and leant up, hands grabbing Nox's handlebar horns and tugged his head down into a hungry kiss. The big bull returned the favour happily and then Felinus was there, the shorter goat worming his way into their embrace so the donkey and bull gave their fellow workmate some attention. Then Windsor moved over, the large horse grinned at the tangle limbs and excited nature of his crew and joined them in their intimate embrace.

After that, time seemed to lose all meaning as they moved together, somehow they wound up in the hay below in a tangle of limbs, shafts, bleats, lows, brays and haaws as they moved and flowed and mingled together. It was intimate, warm, delightful and decadent and they didn't hear the door opening or see the figure approaching. The first Jason knew anyone else was there was when someone cleared their throat loudly right by his head. The donkey jumped and looked up from Windsor's cock, his own shaft was deep Felinus' goat muzzle and Nox was under his tail, the large bull all the way inside having stretched the donkey easily. All four of them froze in the middle of it and looked up into the amused face of the largest bull he'd ever seen. He was twice the size of Nox and imposing in his dungarees and hat. Windsor blushed and tried to extricate himself from Jason's embrace but the big bull just shook his head.

"Don't let me interrupt, you four carry on, just clean up after then come see me for a new job," he moved off, chuckling to himself and Jason squirmed feeling a bit self conscious at being caught in the act. Felinus, however, pulled the donkey's mind back to the task at hand as the goat started to bob his head up and down, resuming his sucking, teasing attention to Jason's huge shaft. Leaning his head back he hawed before plunging his muzzle back around Windsor's shaft and letting Nox resume his pace, the big bull pounding donkey arse with wild abandon as Jason ran his smooth hoof tipped fingers up and down the length of his cock. It felt good to be part of a team, especially a muscular, hard working one like his... gods it felt good to work on the farm...

"Heee haaaw"
