#6 of Fur one and fur all!

This is where character development plays a more definite role, as you can see.

"Let me show you around the place." Lyle says, and I follow him. "Where we are right now is the terrarium. It's basically our relaxation area." He points to one of eight doors facing us, the one labeled "NW," presumably for northwest. "That's where the library is." "West is the gym, southwest is the cafeteria, south the art room, south east the computer lab, east the bunks, northeast the "official" room, where we basically get briefings and our skills are tested," "Wait, what?" I ask, confused. "You've seen the video, right?" he says, looking at me curiously. I say that I don't know what he's talking about, and he says, "You'll find out soon. Anyways, that leaves us with one final room, the north room. We're not actually allowed to go in there yet, so I don't know what's in there." "In each room, there's lots of smaller rooms with almost anything you can think of. It's all pretty confusing. There's so many, most never are even used." He hands me a map. "You'll probably find Sarah in the art room somewhere." He says, starting to walk away. "You're not coming with?" I ask, confused. "No, I've other matters to attend to." he says. I walk towards the art room, thinking that was kind of rude of Lyle to just leave me.

When I make it to the large steel door closing off the art room, I notice a hand scanner, so I press my paw against it. After a pulse of white light, the light turns green and the speaker says, "Welcome, Alexa." The door slides to the right, and closes as I walk in. It's a sterile, white hallway with five doors, two on each side of me and one at the end. I try the first door to my right, but the door doesn't open. I notice the sign above the door, and it's blank. Must be a spare. I look at the one to my left, and the sign says, "Painting." I take this as a good sign, and I try the door, and it opens. I shout, "Anyone home?" " ACK!" Then, I see someone falling off a ladder, landing on the ground.

I run over to them, to see if they're okay. "Are you okay?" I ask to the pink and light blue-striped cat that I assume to be Sarah. "Yeah, you just scared me. Wait, who are you, again?" they ask. "Oh. My name's Alexa, and you're Sarah, right?" I say. "In the flesh." She holds out her paw to shake, and in a lack of foresight, I get different colors of paint all over my fur. I shake it off. "I don't usually like dogs, but I'll make an exception for you." "I'm a wolf!" I shout, much louder than needed. I look at Sarah, and she has a scared expression on, so I say, "Sorry." "Yeah. Just save that anger for training, okay?" She perks up. "Hey, wanna paint with me?" she says, smiling and cocking her head to the side. "Maybe in a bit. Have to get situated here." I say. "Oh, okay... See you soon." "Ok, sounds good." I say, also smiling. I walk out into the corridor again.

Walking over to the computer lab to look for the third animal person, as I decided to dub me and everyone else like me, I get interrupted by a skinny man in a labcoat rushing over to me. "Wait, wait!" he says. I stop, and he tells me to report to the briefing room. "Huh? Oh right, the northeast one. Alright, going now." I say. "Really? You're not going to fight?" he says, confused "What? Do you want me to? Because I will." I say with a mischievous smile and a playful swipe. "N... No thanks. Just go." he says. I run over to the "briefing room."
