### means the point of view is changing.

(Also, wolves usually speak their own language, so don't think the humans usually understand them.)

I walk around the forest, looking for a lone female wolf to mate with and establish a pack. I don't belong here, but I forged my own path here anyways. I walk onto a black surface that feels cool on my paws. I see a squirrel, which I pounce on and eat. I start marking my territory, then I hear something in the distance, and just as I turn around, I see bright lights, then nothing.

### I jump into the van, and then we start racing down the highway to get to a wolf that was hit by a car traveling at extremely high speeds, but seems to be still alive. We race down the highway at ninety miles per hour, and then, after five minutes, we're there. I jump out of the van, show the police my Gladania Animal Hospital badge, and see a peculiar sight. A bright blue wolf with white markings, but its coat is stained dark red with blood. We move it onto a stretcher, and put it in the van. Inside the van, I hook the animal up to a heart monitor, and its heart seems to be beating pretty normally, considering it just got hit by a Lamborghini at ninety miles per hour. I run a quick visual diagnosis, and it seems to be unconscious, with multiple broken bones. "Step on it," I shout.

When we get to Gladania Animal Hospital, the best in the world, I take the wolf to an empty medical room. My medical assistant, Shawn, runs towards me, and starts getting the x-ray ready. When it boots up, we take an x-ray. It comes out a little fuzzy, which means there is a slight electromagnetic interference. After counting, I find a staggering thirty-eight bones are broken, and another twelve are fractured. But that's extremely better than expected, as it should be dead multiple times over. I check its heartbeat, and am shocked to see that it's basically normal. Such a drastic increase in only thirty minutes. "You might want to check this out, Flora." I walk over, and see nothing obvious in the new x-ray. "What's wrong?" "In the other x-ray, the incus bone is broken, but in this one, it's just a partial fracture." I notice that he's right. I look back at the wolf, confused. No scientific or biological reasoning is able to explain these anomalies. "Let's get it washed up."

We put the wolf in a harness, and lower it into the soapy water. We each grab a sponge, and start rubbing the wolf clean. "Favorite part of the job, because it doesn't involve surgery." says Shawn. "I don't know," I reply, not really listening. I look at the wolf again, and realize it looks kind of cute, having almost a cartoonish quality to it. It could have been a trick of the light, but I thought I saw its legs twitch for a second. After we finish washing and drying the wolf, we put it in a large cage with a bed, done with medical tests for the day. We hook up an IV to it, and close the door.

### Pain. So much pain. I open my eyes, seeing that I'm in some sort of container and that I'm laying on something soft. Where am I? How did I get here? Who am I? There's something sticking into me. I try to stand up, but that just hurts me more. I look to the right, and see some sort of square, with sunlight shining through it. Then, to the left, a rectangle of light opens up. As I see something walk in, I start growling and putting my ears back. The thing with two legs and strange fur touches the container, and I see a mini lightning bolt hit it, and it jumps back with a sound of pain. that surprises me. It starts talking to me. I can't understand the words, but the sound of them is calming, so I let my guard down a little. It places some meat and water in front of me, which I start eating, now that I realize how hungry I am. An enemy wouldn't do this, so I become passive towards the creature. My pain starts dissipating, and I see that the thing that was sticking into me is also gone. I start to get sleepy, and succumb after I finish my food.

I wake up in a room, and I stand up. I realize I can stand up with next to no pain. I see another wolf, which I'm glad for. I say, "Hi!" It turns around. The wolf is a female, with white fur and bright purple eyes. I look her up and down, and see that her front left leg is... off. "Ah. Another wolf. My name is Terra. What's yours?" "I don't know." I say. "Oh. Well, this is the "recovery" room, where the humans see how fast you can run and get you to recover enough to go back to the wild." I wonder what humans are, but I decide I'll ask later. "You say that like it's a bad thing." "It is if you've been "recovering" for three years." Three years. I feel pity for Terra. To spend three years in this strange place. "Ouch."

We get led to these strange objects that are covered with this black sheet that feels cool under my paws. There's a rabbit about ten feet in front of me. I start walking towards it, but then the ground shifts. It starts moving faster, and it isn't long before I had to run to keep from falling off. At this point, Terra is starting to falter and slow down, and then her ground stops. I thought of stopping, but I never knew when I was going to get food again. I run faster than I ever have before, in gigantic leaps and bounds, and then I finally catch up to the rabbit, grabbing it. The ground stops, and I get launched forward, pulling the rabbit with me. When I bite the rabbit, it tastes very bad, like when I was a pup and tried to eat a rock. When I look over at Terra, she looks confused and a little scared. "You weren't supposed to catch the rabbit."

Terra explains to me that all of these tests are to see if you're ready to be released back into the wild, and that they always keep them a little harder then you can complete, so you don't realize that there isn't a rabbit. "I guess they weren't expecting you to be so good." Terra said, with a playful smirk. I smiled. "What happened back there?," I said, instantly regretting it. Terra snarls, obviously angry. "Nothing!" She then looks at me, with a distant, sad look. "I've been here for three years, because... there's something wrong with me." I slightly tilt my head, signaling Terra to go on. "Look at my front left leg." I look for a while, then suddenly realize that the reason it looked strange was because it wasn't hers. I mean, it was now, but it was made of a hard, cool material, obviously not flesh. "It doesn't work very well, so I can't leave. The humans keep changing it, but it doesn't make any difference." I wish that something like that won't happen to me, and that I need to get out of here.

I get forced back to the container, after learning that humans were the tall creatures, and getting more tests. I try to escape, but the humans keep a firm grip on me, and put me in my container, which has been moved to the room with Terra. When the humans leave, I try getting out, but it doesn't seem to be working. "You can't get out," Terra says, depressed. "I have to try!" I say, anger bristling my fur. I shove my claws into the small hole, and try to open the door. I feel a shock, heat, and then the door is open. I have a flashback. I'm challenging another wolf to a fight for dominance, and I shock him with a small lightning bolt, burning him. I am evicted from the pack because I am dangerous. I snap back to reality, wondering about this strange memory. Terra starts saying, scaredly, "Wha... How... Could you help me?" I do the same thing to her container that I did to mine, and it opens. Terra's fur is now standing up, not because she's angry, but because of the electricity I just created. I start to feel sleepy. I realize we need to get out soon, or I'll collapse from exhaustion.

We make it out. I have another flashback, this one longer. I'm standing inside a cave high above... and I run down... and down... I make it to the forest floor, disguising myself as one of them. "I am Ridixin, the wolf forest demigod." I growl, with a fire in my eyes. I look over at Terra, and realize I need to keep her safe. My powers aren't limitless, and I'm inexperienced at using them, so we have to make it out quickly. I pray to the gods above that this will work, and we both start running towards the exit. Terra can actually now keep pace next to me, and I wonder how long this temporary adrenaline will last. We can't seem to open it at first, and I don't want to risk exhausting myself by using magic. I'm out of ideas...

### I'm scared and still in shock from this... demigod come to earth. I look around, and see a fire alarm. I know these are good for causing panic in humans, so I use my jaws to pull it. A blaring sound comes from all around us, and the doors shoot open. Now's our chance. "Come on!" I say. We start running, and I realize that for once, my legs don't feel really cumbersome. They could almost be real. I wonder how long this'll last, then I start to get tired. I keep pushing on. "Almost out." Ridixin says. Then we get confronted by this large human. "Stop. You will be ???????????." I can only make out the first part. I know some human, but not most. As Ridixin pounces, the human throws something sharp, and then blood starts coming out of my friend. He collapses on the floor, and I try to attack, but then a red blast of energy comes from my friend, and the human is knocked down, unconscious. I bite my friend's scruff, and drag him out the door.

I manage to get us both outside without being caught. That wolf certainly is well-fed and muscular. I hope that Ridixin will be okay. He helped me get out, and that makes him a friend in my book. I realize that I'm going to have to establish a pack. I still have a good six or seven years before I die, and I need to make the most of it. I look over at Ridixin, and hope he'll survive. Mostly because he's helped me so much, and partially because I need to follow my instincts. I look at Ridixin. He had no loyalty to me, but he helped me anyway. He's strong, handsome, and very nice. I blush as I think that I may have found my mate. But for now, I hope and wait.

### I'm waking up. There's lots of pain, but I'm healing quickly. I wake up, and see that Terra hasn't left me. She actually helped my wound by removing the knife. I know that now, I have to establish a pack with a mate. I look at Terra. She's smart, beautiful, and extremely true. If any godly bloodline shall survive, I shall need to take Terra up to Gridania Forests, and we shall continue to keep rule over the forests. "Let us go to Gridania Forests. You are beautiful, kind, and extremely true." "Let us rule the forests together." I say. "You're alive!" She says, with many tears, but then she smiles, wags her tail, and we start wrestling just like we each did as pups.

Happily forever after. -(^.^)-

Right?
