It's been a while since I uploaded Bloodstained onto here. Since not many read it I didn't plan on it originally, but I'll post it anyway as it comes.

A shiver slowly crept up Vector's spine as the cold breeze of the A/C unit filled the building, specifically his office space. He sifted through the torn pages of an old and decrepit manuscript found inside a very recent homicide victim's home. His brow furrowed as he read through what seemed like a list of undesirable people the victim had been in contact with. Names of now deceased and incarcerated criminals had been written on yellowed paper, with brown blotches of water damage on the edges. Vector noticed that name of the dead were crossed-out in red ink; any fur that had been incarcerated had a circled name.

Vector's interest spiked when he came across a name that was neither of these: "Mitchell Farthing." Vector was about to look over the information again when a stocky pug knocked on his door. "Come in," Vector said allowing him entrance. The pug was the most senior on the police force in Lightview and had seen his share of gritty cases. "Captain Thorne, can I help you sir?" Vector said absentmindedly pushing the notes to the side of his well-kept desk.

"Well Detective Belfast, I believe I took a big enough risk to put you onto the investigative part of out precinct. Seeing as you have a knack for that sort of thing, I'm coming to you, and a few others to investigate this new lead on a possible group of drug dealers...ones that we've been looking for." Vector's ears perked at this news; Captain Thorne saw this and continued. "At roughly 09:45 A.M. this morning we acquired information from an anonymous source that told us, that Lightview City is held together by a triumvirate of drug lords. Of the three you know one that has the strongest hold...but the other two you're new to."

"Libra" as the gang calls itself is led by Lucan Regulus who has been on the run for about seven years. As a whole the group is extremely defensive of its territory, Orange Wharf...of course this means getting into it or finding information in the area is hard since anyone suspicious ends up in a coffin."

"The other group the "Spear-heads" as it's called, is an excessively brutal group of furs that destroy what they can and protect their own as best as possible...but recently they slipped up." Vector was writing careful notes in order to keep as much as he could in mind as the pug went on. "Our tip included evidence in the form of an audio recording; the tape features a former gang member who sat down to explain as much as he could about the Spear-heads."

"Of all the information we received, we finally received the name of the drug lord, and what appears to be the location of their stronghold... the leader's name is Mitchell Farthing, and is believed that he holes himself up, on 5780 Penn Boulevard, in the Subway District." The name Mitchell Farthing made him sit up, as he looked to the yellowed pages he found.

"Captain..." Vector said looking to his senior, "When was that recording taped?" Captain Thorne put his paw to his chin as he pondered about the question. "The recording was labeled August 2 2014...four days ago." Vector looked at the yellowed manuscript and looked through until he found the name, "Mitchell Farthing."

"That homicide that happened yesterday night...do we know who did it?" Vector asked as he began to think to himself. "No, you were there, Detective," the Captain said folding his arms. "I know, sir, it happened in the Subway District. On this paper, all the names of furs that were ever caught, or killed are either scratched out, or circled...the only name on here that hasn't been touched is Mitchell Farthing...this must have belonged to the fur that was our former gang member. If we can find out his name, we can go to that area and poke around a bit; we'll find an answer if they slip up."

Captain Thorne took off his hat, and chuckled to himself, "I was right to consider you for this job...the forensics team is still working with strands of fur found at the scene, as well as the bits of gore from the walls...yadda yadda yadda...that kind of thing. We should have a name soon...I want you working on this first lead as soon as you can...you'll be working with Detective Ludwig on this." Vector nodded as the stocky pug put his hat back on and headed for the door. "One last thing," Thorne said turning a bit, "Be well prepared entering that territory...and do not let them know who you are, Vector Belfast is a man they all want dead...at Red Ulf's command."

As he walked out Vector sighed and sat back for a moment before grabbing his notes and stuffing them in his pocket and getting up to go find Detective Ludwig. As he walked through the chilly halls of the building he looked around at the other furs doing work or slacking off, Ludwig was in in his office playing with a laser pointer.

"Fighting off boredom is going to take more than just a laser pointer," Vector teased as he opened the door to his colleague's office. "So as long as I have my pointer, I will prevail!" Ludwig said raising the laser pointer in the air, before looking over to Vector. Jack Ludwig was a thin, tall weasel with red fur, and brown eyes. Usually he wore dress clothes with a fedora, or top hat; a style that got him nicknamed, "Fancy Pants."

"So what's up, Mr. Belfast? Have you come to help me fight boredom? I have a broom you can use." Vector shook his head before sitting down in one of Ludwig's armchairs. "We have a case to work on," Vector began.

"Finally, something to do! They didn't even put me on last night's homicide! Do you know how boring it can be around here?"

"I can imagine."

"Are we going now?" Ludwig asked sitting up, and tossing his laser pointer to the side. "Not until we get a name on last night's victim." Vector said pulling out his notes. "Oh no, not now, don't read that to me...I will forget faster than I forget to put the garbage out..." Ludwig said shaking his head. "Let's talk about this over food...I'm hungry," Vector shrugged and the two got up and walked to the cafeteria, while they talked casually on the way.
