This is from a month ago, I never uploaded it, but I might as well put it here.

"So what're you cooking today, Volkner?" Vess asked his tall, direwolf of a friend through the phone. "Turkey, macaroni, cakes, stuffings of all kinds...vegetables and best of all...ham." Vess chuckled as he stood in the mirror brushing his fur out. "It wouldn't be your thanksgiving without it, eh?" Volkner only swished his tail and put the large turkey in the oven, "listen," he'd begin, "I don't know why the turkey is so awesome on today...people glaze hams...they season a turkey and put gravy on it..at most. What's so special about it?" Vess put the phone on speaker while he adjusted his belt and looked over his clothes in the mirror. "Well, it's supposed to be historic or something...I like turkey anyway."

"I thought you were my friend..." Volkner said in disbelief. "I am, I just like turkey...especially the ones you cook," Vess responded. "But you won't touch my ham?" Volkner asked in slightly offended tone.

"I always do...you know that, I love your ham too." "Yeah, you better..."

The two furs would then laugh at their silliness before Vess would start speaking again. "I'm on my way...are the kids home for the holidays?" Volkner would grab a whisk and mix cake ingredients together while he absentmindedly spoke of his family. "Avixio is here...for a singer he gets off tour really quick...Pyrrah spent the night for once...and that's about it." Vess would check on his own, young son who was brushing his bright red fur. "That is different," he'd say waving to the little fox, who resembled him greatly. "Evander is getting ready too, we'll be there shortly." Volkner smiled as he poured cake batter into pans and put them in the oven with the turkey. He'd then sit down and sigh as he looked at his kitchen. "It's a bit lonely, I must admit doing the cooking by myself," Volkner said. His tail curled around his leg as he silently looked at the oven. Vess sensed his friends sadness.

"Look Souch," Vess would say, "you have a big family, and no matter what you think about being alone, you're not...besides I'm coming i a few minutes, your kids are home for the holidays...you have things to be happy about. You're alive, you're successful, and you can do anything you want. If those aren't reasons to be happy for the holidays, I don't know what is." Volkner rubbed his arms and sat up. "Yeah...you're right...I have a lot to be thankful for...and damn I haven't put the ham in the oven!" He'd say rushing towards the beautifully prepared ham. He'd push it into the now full oven and close the door. "See?" Vess said, "I can tell you're feeling better...I'm bringing some homemade ice cream so save a spot in the freezer, okay?" Volkner's ears perked up, "what kind...?"

"Vanilla, strawberry...and chocolate." "Hurry up and get over here then!" "Roger that."

Vess smiled and looked to his son, who was now fully dressed and smiled. "I'll be there in 10 minutes," Vess said wagging his tail,"and Souch, I love you, man." Volkner smiled, "Love you too, dude." Vess would hang up and grab the ice cream before getting in his car and driving he and his son to Volkner's fabulous Thanksgiving dinner.
