How To Do A Race In Egypt
#6 of The Amazing Race 2
On the last leg of the Amazing Race, teams got in speed boats and tried to cross the Mediterranean as fast as possible. An alliance between the twins, Policefurs, and cruise directors was officially made. They quickly won first place, but sadly Milon & Zax were in last. Lucky for them, it was a non-elimination round. 15 teams remain, but one of them will go down the drain. Stick around because this is... the Amazing Race.

"Welcome back to a beach here in Egypt." Toner says. "Like usual, yesterday's winners are the first ones up." Diesel & Dee step up and take the clue.
"Route Info: get in an Amazing Race cab and drive to Cairo, Egypt." DeeDee reads. Cairo is known for its Egyptian hieroglyphics, the Pyramids of Giza, and the Nile River. Players will travel to the Al-Azhar Park to receive their next clue.
"Let's go!" DeeDee says. The rest of the teams get their clues and get in cabs. Cairo is not that long of a drive from the beach, but teams do start strategizing as they drive.
"This is so awesome! Our first alliance!" Kitty says.
"I agree it's great, but focus, Kitty." Kit says. "We've still got a long while before we can win the million dollars."
"I know. I'm just so excited for this. I'm already thinking of a name for us."
"Yeah? What is it?" Kitty digs out her sunglasses and puts them on in a dramatic style.
"The Uptown Crew."
"Woah. A bit dramatic... but I like it."
"Bro, we're starting out in last place." Milon says. "And we're still behind."
"I know." Zax says. "Yesterday was a close call. I swear if this car runs out of gas, I'm gonna explode."
"I know. Let's just hope that we can be able to catch up today. Best case scenario is if we win today's leg."
"I'm with you on that. I just hope things don't end badly for us."
"We came in fifth yesterday." Tammy says. "FIFTH!!!! That is unacceptable!"
"I agree that if this was the olympics, fifth place would be a shame, but we're still in the top 7 right now so it's not a big deal." Rachel says.
"You say that like you don't care."
"I honestly don't. I just care about staying in the race at all."
"I really hope you and I can win today." Boomer says. "I don't mind being in 10th, but that's not gonna keep us in the game much longer."
"I know." Joe says. "And I wanted to come on this race with you so we could bond a lot more. After all, I love you so much and winning this with you would be this best."
"Awwwww."
"Dude, this is so gonna be the awesomest day ever." Jasper says.
"I know. Still in the game." Mitch says. Jasper looks out the window as his partner drives the vehicle. He looks down and sees something wedged between the seat and the door. Did I drop the clue? Jasper thinks. He reaches down and grabs it, but when he holds it up, it's green.
"Yes! Our day just got better!" Jasper exclaims. Mitch looks over and sees what Jasper has.
"Dude! You found a Fast Forward!" Mitch says. "What does it say?"
"Fast Forward: complete the following task and you may skip all tasks and head directly to the checkpoint."
"What's the task?"
"Draw the Eye of Horus. You may ask only one pedestrian for help."

Kit & Kitty are the first team to reach Al-Azhar Park. The girls run up to the clue box and take their clue. "Detour: Keys or Pyramids." Kit reads. Teams must either search the park for 3 keys or sculpt a pyramid out of playdough by hand. Do either and they must get approval from an Egyptian local (red cat), who will give them their next clue.
"Keys." Kit says. As other teams arrive, some choose to search for keys (Diesel & DeeDee, Vince & Sam, Tammy & Rachel, Amy & Hector, and Miles & Joey) and others choose to build a pyramid (Boomer & Joe, Griffin & Zander, Maxwell & Richard, Becky & KiKi, and Barbara & Eddy).
"C'mon honey!" Sam says as he starts following the twins. Vince runs after him. The Policefurs soon join them.
"It would be a good idea if we looks for the keys together." Kit says. "After all, it's easier to find 9 keys with 6 of us."
"There's one right there." Diesel points up a tree and starts climbing it.
"That's one down. Spread out!" The six of them go in different directions in search for keys.
"I think the best strategy for this is to spread out. That way we'll be able to cover more ground." Miles says.
"I hope you're right." Joey says. The run away from each other.
"I will not come in fifth... AGAIN!!" Tammy says as she lifts a heavy rock, only to find nothing.
"Nothing up here!" Rachel says from the top of a tree. She saw Diesel climbing a tree and assumed some might be off the ground. "You?"
"Nothing!" Tammy looks in a hole in a tree and finds a key. "Never mind! Got one!"
"Sweet! Two left!"
"Maybe I should look up while you look on the ground." Amy says as her and Hector run through the park.
"Great idea." Hector says. "Wait! I saw one!" He reaches into a pile of dandelions and brings out a key.
"Nice job." Meanwhile, Milon & Zax, Zoe & Patricia, and Shelly & Fran arrive at the park and they receive their clues.
"Wanna look for keys?" Milon asks.
"That could take a while." Zax says. "Let's do Pyramid."
"Pyramid." Zoe says. "I took art school shortly before I became a publisher."
"Cool." Patricia says.
"What do you want to do?" Shelly asks.
"Keys." Fran says. "We're already in a race to come out of last." Shelly & Fran run deeper into the park to find keys. Those who chose pyramid will head to a table on the side with several large cubes of playdough.
"Luckily I have a big strong kitty to help me with this." Zander says.
"Awwww. Let's do this, Zander." Griffin says. He starts taking chunks out of the cube as others develop a strategy too.
"Any idea on how we can do this?" Boomer asks.
"Nope." Joe says. They take on the same way Griffin & Zander are doing it: just chuck some out and try to make a triangle.
"Let's try doing it this way." Becky says. She pushes in one vertex of the cube inwards. "I'm hoping that the dough will pile upwards and we can just shape it into a point."
"Good thinking." KiKi says. She joins in on Becky's strategy and pushes in on the other vertices.
"I'm so happy I brought this from home." Zoe says, pulling out a pocketknife.
"What're you going to do?" Patricia asks.
"I'm just gonna carve away the excess dough and hopefully we'll end up with a pyramid."
"Seems like our alliance is doing the same thing." Maxwell says. "Think we should join in on them?"
"I guess." Richard says. "We might as well."
"Ok."
"Have you ever played with this stuff as a child?" Barbara asks.
"Nope. Not really." Eddy says. "Parents said it would affect my fur if I did."
"Really? It comes right off though."
"I know. It's not my fault they're stricter than they ought to be."
"C'mon man! We're still in last!" Milon says.
"I've got it!" Zax says. He starts to pull out pieces of the cube and putting it on top. "If we do this, hopefully we'll end up with a pyramid."
"Alright. What does the Eye of Horus look like?" Mitch asks mostly to himself. Him and Jasper showed up a while ago but they've been trying to see how they're gonna do the Fast Forward task.
"The clue said we were allowed to ask someone." Jasper says. "Maybe we should." As they keep walking, they eventually come across a tiger with yellow fur walking by.
"Excuse me!" Mitch says.
"Yes? Can I help you?" The tiger says.
"Do you what the Eye of Horus looks like?" Jasper asks.
"Hmmm..." The tiger reaches into his pocket and pulls out an index card and shows it to the boys. "You mean this?"
"Yep. Looks like an eye." Jasper says. He takes a pen out of his pocket and starts drawing it on paper the FF clue provided.
"What's this for?" The tiger asks.
"Do you know the Amazing Race?" Mitch asks.
"Of course. Why?"
"We're a part of it and we found a Fast Forward. The task was to simply draw that eye."
"Oh. Awesome. I wish you two luck."
"Done!" Jasper says. He hands the card back to the tiger. "Thank you so much for that."
"You're welcome, boys." Jasper & Mitch run too the local at the clue box and they hand him their drawing.
"Nice job, guys." The local says. He hands him the next clue and Jasper reads it.
"Route Info: head to the Museum of Egypt where the checkpoint lies." You heard/read that right. After teams do the detour, they must head to the Museum of Egypt, which is a 10 minute drive away. The rug in in front of the doors. Last team there could be cut from the race.
"Let's go!" Mitch cheers as they run off.
"Done!" Zoe says. The local goes over and checks their work.
"Nice job girls." He hands the publishers their next clue.
"Uptown Crew, huh?" DeeDee says as she finds another key. "I like the sound of that. Makes us sound cool, yet dangerous."
"Thanks." Kitty says. She has 3 keys in paw. DeeDee found 2. Diesel only found the one in the tree.
"Hey guys!" Vince yells as he and Sam run back to their alliance. "I found 2 more!"
"That means we only need one more!" Kitty says.
"And I have it right here!" Kit says. She runs back and the six of them head off to the local and they collect their clues.
"That makes three!" Amy says as she finds her and Hector's last key.
"Where was it?" Hector asks as he and Amy start running back.
"It was half hidden under a brick."
"Huh. I guess Toner isn't as clever as we thought." Amy just shrugs her shoulder.
"Finished!" Griffin says.
"Us too!" Maxwell & Richard say simultaneously. The local hands them their clues next.
"Here!" Tammy appears behind the local and hands him three keys her and Rachel found. "Hurry! We're way behind!" The Olympians run back to their cab and drive off. As teams continue to finish the challenge, the publishers and fraternity brothers are in a fight for first place.
Toner sits outside the museum with a magazine in paw. A closer look reveals that it's been MAD magazine he's been reading. He looks up when he sees teams approaching him. "Well, looks like an intense race for first." He says to himself. Zoe & Patricia get out of their cabs along with Jasper & Mitch. One pair of feet step on the rug first. "Jasper & Mitch, you are in first place."
"Yay!" Jasper & Mitch exclaim as they hug each other and run off. Zoe steps on the rug, but pushes her off.
"Not so fast, Zoe." Toner says. "You girls earned a 20 minute penalty."
"What? Why? We made a pyramid fair and square." Patricia says.
"No you didn't. Zoe used a pocketknife even though the clue said to shape the pyramid by hand."
"Oops." Zoe says, blushing.
"Yep. So step aside."
"Go! Go! Go!" Zander says as Griffin drives to the museum.
"We're almost there!" Joe says.
"I know." Boomer says. Suddenly, their car starts bumping. "What the fuck?"
"Stop the car!" Boomer hits the brake. Joe opens the door and immediately notices something wrong.
"Flat tire!!" Joe exclaims.
"What?!?!"
"We're gonna have to run for it." Joe helps Boomer out of the cab and they start running for it. Meanwhile, back at the checkpoint, more teams start to arrive.
"Becky & KiKi, second place." Toner says.
"Yes!" Becky says. Her and KiKi step of the rug. Another teams shows up.
"Griffin & Zander, third." Zander squeals with delight and kisses Griffin. More pairs arrive. "Maxwell & Richard, fourth place."
"Awesome!" Richard says. "That's the best we've done the whole race!"
"I know!" Maxwell says. Soon, the Olympians show. Oh this is gonna be fun, Toner thinks. Tammy steps on the rug.
"So, tell me how much it was worth it speeding thru traffic." Tammy says with a smile.
"A little too much, though." Rachel says.
"Well, Tammy, you guys did fall behind, but you caught back up."
"Really?" Tammy perks up and her smile grows wider.
"Yep. You're right back in fifth place." Toner says, trying to rub it in a bit. Tammy's smile disappears and is instead replaced by rage.
"FIFTH!?!? AGAIN?!?!" Tammy yells.
"Yep. Isn't it great, Tammy? ISN'T IT?!?!" Toner says, on 100% rub it in mode. Tammy throws another rage tantrum as more vans come into view.
"Surely our penalty is up." Patricia says.
"Hmmm." Toner looks at his watch. It beeps. "Yep. Time's up. You girls are in 6th."
Vince & Sam- 7th place
Diesel & DeeDee- 8th place
Miles & Joey- 9th place
Kit & Kitty- 10th place
Barbara & Eddy- 11th place
Amy & Hector- 12th place
"Hustle!" Shelly says. Her and Fran run out of their cab and run to the rug.
"Shelly & Fran, 13th place. You're still in this." Toner says.
"Oh yeah!" Fran says. They step off. It's all down to the Arcadia workers and teacher & student.
"Almost... there." Joe pants as him and Boomer are soon in view of the checkpoint.
"I don't know how much longer I can last." Boomer breaths. He collapses on the ground.
"Boomer! Get up!" Joe says. He sees Milon & Zax's can coming around the corner and panics. He grabs Boomer's foot and starts dragging him. They're only 25 feet away from the rug.
20 feet.
10 feet.
Milon stops their cab and they run out. Him and Zax zip past Joe and they land on the rug. "Milon & Zax, 14th place." Toner says.
"Yes!" Zax hi5 Milon and they step off the rug. Joe drags Boomer on the rug and let's go of him, dropping onto his knees.
"Boomer & Joe, I'm sorry. You're in last place and you've been eliminated." Toner says.
"Oh." Joe pins his ears down.
"But hey, I did buy you this cool Egyptian souvenir." Toner holds up a shape looked like the Eye of Horus. "And people say I don't care about my contestants. Think of this as a parting gift." Toner tosses Joe the gift, but it knocks him to the ground.
"This is a paperweight!" Joe says.
"Yep. You're welcome!" Toner walks away.

Joe gets him and Boomer back into his cab and they drive off. "I gotta say this race has been pretty awesome for the both of us." Joe says.
"I know." Boomer says. "I wouldn't trade our time together for anything else in the world."
"Awwwww. I wouldn't either." Joe smiles at Boomer. "I love you."
"I love you too." Boomer & Joe quickly kiss before they drive off.
