• * * *Eyes were on him. Eyes belonging to furs he saw every day but barely knew. He gripped the velvet soft paw he was holding tighter from the fear of having so many pairs of eyes on him at once. The velvet paw he was holding for comfort was lost from his grip only to find it's way across his shoulder pulling him tight to the muscular figure that he loved. Looking up he saw his mates face had that comforting smile on his muzzle. At that moment he knew he'd make it through this. They walked up to a table that had many furs conversing, the main topic was of the couple approaching the table. As they neared the table more and more conversations ceased. A few of the furs stood up and looked at the couple with a confused look plastered on their muzzles. It was obvious that the group at the table would wait for one from the couple to speak, but he was too afraid to open his mouth let alone talk. Just as he was about to scream from fear and nerves, a velvet smooth voice broke the silence, "Hey guys in case none of you remeber, or neglected to learn, this is Ayden and..* Ayden awoke from his nap, after haveing the same all too realistic dream again, as he heard his cell phone ringing. It was Zeke, his gorgeous cougar mate. Ayden sild his phone open to answer the call, "Hello..?" "Hey hon..." Ayden blushed slightly, "...I just got done with practice. I'm heading over to your place now." "Okay love, I'll see you when you get here." Ayden answered. The two exchanged their "I love you"s and hung up. It would take Zeke at least 20 minutes to reach Ayden's house so Ayden had to find something to do. He kept the house clean so there was no need to clean for Zeke's arrival. Remembering how taken Zeke was by Ayden's artwork before, Ayden decided to hide his portraits of Zeke. Not because they were bad, but since most of them had hearts around them or they'd be his rendition of what the cougar looked like naked, he decided it was best to stash them. Walking into his room, Ayden went straight to his dresser to find his art protfolio. It was out in the open just as he left it. *Wow I can't believe he didn't go through this. I guess we were in a hurry the last time he was here.* Ayden thought to himself as he grabbed the portfolio and went to hide it in the basement. he picked the basement because it was secluded from the rest of the house. To get to the entrance to the stair well you had to go through the back porch. After setting his portolio in a cupboard he went back up to his room. Still having at least 18 minutes to waste, Ayden decided to get on msn. He logged on to find he had 3 e-mails that he would read later. he looked through his friends list, which was fairly lengthy yet catagorized to make things easier. He saw one friend in particular he wanted to talk to. Though he was going to start the conversation, he was beat to the punch. Avalar says: hey Ayden! The Red Panda says: Hiya husky butt! What's up? Avalar was a husky, about a year or two younger than Ayden. They met through a popular website. Though they'd never met in real life, Ayden and Avalar exchanged pictures of themselves every now and then. Avalar had light blue and white fur in the normal husky pattern. His eyes were a brilliant shade of blue that met in the middle of icy blue/white and cerulean blue. He was rather skinny yet still muscular from kickboxing with his friends. Ayden actually contemplated on dating him once or twice, but didn't think he could make a long distance/online relationship work. Avalar says: -blushes slightly- not much what about you? The Red Panda says: -smiles and licks your blush- not much, just waiting for Zeke to get here. Avalar says: Wait! Zeke, is that the cougar you've been crushing on? The Red Panda says: -blushes slightly- yeah, we're dating now -blushes more- Avalar says: -hugs- That's great, when did this happen? The Red Panda says: -hugs back- Friday, at the football party. Just like in my dream Avalar says: Oh, it was another of your preminitions? The Red Pada says: Yeah Ayden looked at the clock to see Zeke would be there at any moment, so he carried the lap top out to the living room. He sat on the couch and continued his conversation with Avalar as he waited for Zeke. Avalar says: -hugs- I'm happy for you two Zeke was now pulling into the driveway. The Red Panda says: -blushes slightly and hugs back tightly- why thanks pup Zeke was now walking in the door, seeing Ayden on the couch he went over to sit next to him. Avalar says: -smiles and winks at you- no problem Ayden Zeke looked at the screen after hearing the chime signaling Avalar's message then read it. "Hon, who's Avalar?" "Oh, he's a really good friend I met a while back." Ayden explained. "Oh okay.." Zeke read back to see Avalar say "...I'm happy for you two" and smiled to himself, "...could you tell him, I'm happy about us as well?" Ayden blushed slightly realizing Zeke was reading their conversation but obliged to the courgar's request. The Red Panda says: Zeke says he's happy about us as well They waited a moment for Avalar's response. Avalar says: -giggles slightly- I guess that's why you two are mates huh? Silly kitty The two chuckled softly at Avalar's last comment. The Red Panda says: Okay Avalar, I'll talk to you later Avalar says: Okay, good bye Ayden-san...and Zeke-san The Red Panda says: Goodbye from both of us Avalar Ayden signed off before Avalar could finish his typical goodbye, then put the lap top on the coffee table at the side of the couch. "So how close are you and Avalar?" Zeke asked. Sensing the secret meaning behind the question, Ayden answered, "We're pretty close, we hug and cuddle and such online. But no yiffing." Zeke was content with that answer, "Okay, hey there's a potlatch for the football team in about two and a half hours. Want to go with me?" Ayden thought for a moment, "Yes of course I would my love, but I'm going to have to ask my dad first." With that Ayden slid his phone open and called his dad. "Hello..?" his dad answered. "Hey dad, is it alright if I go to the football potlatch with Zeke in a few hours?" "Yeah that's fine." "Thanks dad, bye." Ayden slid his phone shut and looked over at Zeke to see the cougar yawn. Ayden smiled, "Tired love?" Zeke nodded, "Yeah, practice wore me out today hon." "We've got time to waste til we need to go so how about I give you a back rub while you take a quick nap?" Zeke smiled and pulled Ayden close so their chests were touching, "Nah, how about we save the rubbing for tonight." Zeke grinned, "I just wanna cuddle for now." Ayden smiled and layed back on the couch with Zeke on top of him, "Why don't you tack a quick cat nop hon," Ayden suggested. Zeke yawned then layed his head on Ayden's chest "Sounds good to me." After another yawn Zeke closed his eyes and began falling asleep in the red panda's arms, soothed by the fluid motions of Ayden's breathing. Ayden kept his arms snuggly around his cougar as he fell asleep. Ayden carefully nuzzled the top of Zeke's head, taking in his scent. Now the mango scent was subtle and the mint had dominance. *He must have a mint shampoo for after football.* Ayden thought as he nuzzled and continued breathing in the cougar's scent. Ayden held the sleeping cougar for an hour before realizing they had to bring food. Ayden slowly and carfully slid out from under Zeke so that he wouldn't wake up. It took Ayden five minutes to get out from under the sleeping cougar, then he made his way to the kitchen. Deciding he didn't want to put too much effort into it, Ayden got an iron "George Foreman" griddle from the cupboard and plugged it in to heat up. Then he grabbed bread, butter, cheese squares, and jalapenos out to make jalapeno grilled cheese. Ayden managed to make 41 sandwhiches, wrapping 40 in aluminum foil for the potlatch and saving one for Zeke and himself to snack on. After cutting the sandwich in half diaganolly, Ayden brought both halves on a paper plate out to where Zeke was sleeping on the couch. Ayden gently shook Zeke's shoulder and said softly, "Zeke, hon, come on. Time to get up." "I'm up, I'm up.." the cougar replied still half asleep and not yet opening his eyes. After catching the scent of the sandwich Zeke opened his eyes and smiled at Ayden, "...there's going to be food there." Zeke was now sitting up. "I know. This is just a snack for us. I made some for the potlatch and this was the last one I could make before everything ran out." Ayden replied as he picked up one of the halves for himself. "Okay," Zeke said then began eating the other half. After another 15 minutes they decided to leave and be early rather than risk being late. Along the way they listened to Breath Carolina to try and let the techno wake them up and energize them. They pulled into the school parking lot 10 minutes early, though half of the football team was already there. Zeke pulled into a parking space that was surrounded by the same furs he parked next to this morning. Ayden looked at the furs, not finding Trev, the black wolf he had confronted a few hours ago, which made him relaxe a bit. Ayden finally opened the door before Zeke could. Getting out he could hear sarcastic wolf whistles. Zeke was already standing next to the red panda as he got out. Zeke whispered so only Ayden could hear, "Should we give them a show?" He was smiling his warm comforting smile that made a few more of Aydens fears and Anxieties about what he was about to do go away. The red panda blushed then nodded slightly. Then the two leaned in to a deep kiss so everyone could see. Zeke broke the kiss with a smile getting the exact reaction he thought he would. Many of the football players gave out groans of disgust, Zeke even heard a few "Eww"s. The players' girlfriends were giving out the exact opposite response, some giggled to themselves while others let out a few "Aww"s thinking it was cute. All of this caused Ayden's blush to worsen, especially from the girls' responses. After that they walked inside, paw-in-paw. They got inside to see most of the team was already there. Ayden and Zeke walked straight to the food table and sat down the container of sandwiches. One of the players was working his way down the table then saw Ayden lay down his container of aluminum foil wrapped food. "Hey what're those?" "Jalapeno grilled cheese sandwiches." Ayden answered then turned to face the fox. He was one of the starting recievers. "Huh that sounds funky, never tried one." The fox replied. "you really should Mike, they're awesome. Especially when Ayden makes them." Zeke said in an almost bragging tone which made Ayden blush. "Okay, it's at least worth a try." He then put his plate down to pick up and unwrap one of the sandwhiches. He bit one of the corners and chewed carefully, trying to study the taste. After only a moment of chewing the fox's face lit up in approval, he quickly finished chewing the bite to say, "Oh my god, these are great." Mike grabbed his plate and another sandwich before he went over to his table to tell his friends about the sandwiches. Ayden and Zeke stood and watched as the furs unwrapped and ate their sandwiches. Ayden and Zeke smiled as they heard the moans of pleased taste buds. The next wave of furs completely devoured the rest of the sandwiches leaving many who missed out begging for more. "Sorry guys, that's all I could make." Ayden said trying to stop the begging. The crowd slowly turned and walked away mumbling and groaning that they didn't get any of the sandwiches. Ayden looked at the food on the table to see it was relatively untouched. Ayden and Zeke chuckled at that and grabbed paper plates to fill with food. The couple decided to eat their food outside in peace. After eating Zeke helped Ayden up, "Come on, you're going to meet my friends. Though you probably know most of them." Zeke said then chuckled as he led Ayden back inside by the paw. The group was silent for a few moments. A pure white wolf, who was apparently the groups "Alpha", stepped forward. "Hey Ayden, I'm Erein..." he offered his white paw out. Ayden shook it. Erein was about 6' tall and big, muscular big. He was the team's star linebacker,"...if anyone gives you guys trouble, let me know, 'kay?" Erein said as he mingled back into the still quiet group. "You'd do that for us?" Ayden asked in disbelief. "Yeah, why wouldn't I?" Erein answered with a question. "'Cause we're gay..?" "So, you're still people that just want to love each other. Just like me and my girlfriend," As he finished he hugged a tigress around the waist and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. "Thanks Erein." Ayden said in a very appreciative tone. "You're welcome." Erein turned and smiled at Ayden. A moment later the rest of the group decided it was their turn for introductions and went over to shake Ayden's paw. After a few minutes of mingling with the group after all of the introductions Ayden turned to Zeke, "I'm going to go to the bathroom." Zeke nodded then gave him a quick kiss on the lips before the red panda left. Ayden walked around the corner to the restrooms but was stopped at the entrance by Trev, the black wolf he confronted at the end of school. "Hey what the..." Ayden was cut off by the wolf. "You know its funny..." Trev had Ayden's wrists pinned against the wall, "...you were right earlier. In fact, I was going to ask you to be my mate at that football party last week." Trev had a sadistic seductive smile across his muzzle. Ayden didn't like where this was going so he yelled as loud as he could, "Zeke..!" Ayden couldn't get anything else out because at that moment, Trev glued his muzzle to Ayden's. Ayden instantly began struggling against the overpowering wolf, his shoulders were shaking as he tried to free his arms. Zeke then walked around the corner to see Trev kissing Ayden. At first grief overwhelmed the cougar as he thought his boyfriend had cheated on him, but as he saw Ayden struggling to free his arms while crying he realized Ayden had no part in it. "WHAT THE HELL TREV!" Trev let go instantly to look over at Zeke. Ayden collapsed on the ground as he was released, sobbing his heart out. By now there was a fair amount of furs behind Zeke, most of which saw Trev trying to kiss Ayden. Erein stepped forward to Trev and grabbed him by his head fur, pulling him outside. Zeke rushed over to Ayden, who was still sobbing, then picked him up to carry him to a more private bathroom down the hall. Zeke carefully sat Ayden down trying to comfort him and stop his crying. "I-I'm...s-s-s-so ...sorry" Ayden kept reapeating through his sobs. "Shhh, it's okay hon. I know you didn't kiss him back." Zeke comforted. "R-really?" Ayden sobbed out. "yes." Zeke pecked a quick kiss on Ayden's slips, "I love you Ayden." "I-I love you to, so so very much." Ayden's sobbing was finally stopping. Zeke held Ayden close for a five minutes, just holding him with their muzzles across each other's shoulders while Zeke rubbed Ayden's back. Breaking his hold with a quick peck on the red panda's lips, Zeke said, "Lets go home, you look drained." Ayden nodded then Zeke picked him back up and carried him to the car to go home. *(TO BE CONTINUED)* * * *

I wrote this in a notebook before I typed it on here so I was reading from five and a half (front and back) pages.
