#1 of Shining Trainers : Jonathan

Please note that the Chapter 1 is a minor rewrite and that I have to use chapter numbers because Yiffstar is a pain in the ass and won't label the damn chapters right! Sup Yiffstar! I'm going on a new series that I hope everyone will love. In fact it is pretty huge. Well for me it is anyways. All you have to do is read it! I have to WRITE the damn thing. In case you are wondering, this will be a story of a trainer and his Pokemon and isn‘t concentrated on sex. Deal. It will happen. As another side note there will be several modifications to Pokemon and the world that are either never explained or just plain inconvenient that I can change/add due to artistic license (HA!). Lucario(s?) can withdraw their spikes located on their hands and chest much like Wolverine from X-Men can. Plus the Black Stripe and Blue Leg is actually clothing. Yes I'm taking a "they are pants" stance on it because it looks retarded if they aren't. It is a part of Lucario culture and they can choose pants or the classic "shorts". LucFanboys can kiss my ass. Plus with parallel universes and musical chances, plenty of songs that exist in our world exist in this one. In fact, how can you say that our songs are not from that world eh? MindFREAK. "Pokemonly possible" is equal to "humanly possible" , I made up a word. USE IT. Jonathan Stormglade is my character and is Kate. So is Waxy. Waxy is the bottle that I burn candles on. Burn on mighty Waxy, burn on. Pokemon aren't mine nor is the songs I use (make a playlist!). There, legal and other stuff out of the way. Enjoi. ..:: ST: Jonathan - Raindrops on Roselia ::.. "If everything could ever feel this real forever. If anything could be this good again. The only thing I'll ever ask of you, you got to promise never stop when I say when." -Foo Fighters "Everlong" Rain. It symbolizes sadness on a dark funeral day. It brings life to plains and meadows in the spring. Farmers pray for it to keep their businesses alive while outdoor venues pray it never comes. It can inspire when creating rainbows and it can depress the poor in spirit. It can destroy, it can create. Jonathan Stormglade wasn't thinking of all the poetic implications of rain. He was just cursing the fact that he couldn't set up his damn camp in time for him to get out of the way and into his tent. The storm came quick though, it was sunny at first before leading to dark clouds. Usually this meant that it would start spitting before it poured but it seemed to just soak everything in an instant. It took him five minute to set up his tent with Kate, his partner and loyal female Lucario. His blonde hair was soaked and his clothes matted to his skin. Her fur was matted and her pants, rather than the usual Lucario shorts, were completely soaked. She never really told him about how they worked or how they were made. Lucario culture was secretive at best and even through the years she never really told him anything about it, not that that was the only issues at hand during battling, training and travelling together. They were shivering inside their tent. Jon though of releasing his Charmander but the risk of a fire burning the only cover they had kept him from it. He also thought of withdrawing Kate for a while, but she would take too much offence to it and he enjoyed her company too damn much. Something about her pride and the fact that she should be able to suffer and enjoy everything that he was going through also stopped him. It was touching sometimes, but it can be damn awkward. For instance, there was the whole concern thing. He can take cold and heat better than her, she had fur that gets wet and seals in heat, not the best for desert and rainy terrain. On Route 215 it RAINED, as he could plainly tell. She was shivering on her side of the small tent, huddled and holding her knees close trying to get warm. Plus there was the whole "male trainer and female Pokemon" thing. Though he was sure she didn't hold any romantic fantasies or feelings towards him, they were really close. She was his first Pokemon and best friend. His teenage mind also thought of different thoughts but as he grew up they not only lessened, but when they came up it was more of a romantic type of ideal then a hot and lusty obsession. Not that he wouldn't mind pushing their friendship to a higher level, but she deserved to be loved by one of their kind. To mate and have pups and live with a big happy family. Though it kind of saddened him that she could almost never have a chance of that with travelling with him. It was almost infinitely selfish that he could think that she was better off with him, but in the reality of it he knew that he needed her more than she needed him. He wasn't the most popular kid. In fact he was pretty much a loner in the Pokemon Academy until he met Kate. He then just stuck to studying and practicing with his new and only friend, then a Riolu. That night after graduation when he turned 16, she evolved into a Lucario. Also she gained the ability to speak to humans and seemed to have matured quite a bit. She used to be energetic and crazy, but now she was calm and restrained, with a hint of childish happiness. It was quite a change and he wouldn't have it any other way. It seemed as if she went from being a kid to a young woman in a few seconds. A year and a half later they were on the road, after working at the pokemart on his hometown Solaceon. They said their goodbyes and went back to Jubilife. Soon enough they smashed their way through the Oreburgh gym and four months later the Hearthome gym. They even attempted a contest too, but didn't even make it past the first round. They both decided that the Gym life was their better choice. They found a lonely Charmander wandering Mount Cornet and caught him. They also battled and easily caught a Shinx before Hearthome. They took a few months in Fortree, relaxing in the nature-rich town. They caught Shadow, the Mightyena three weeks in. Now, after spending Christmas with Jon's parents they were back on the road. This time determined to get all the badges! Even though it was easy to battle a few trainers a week to eat and sleep they were in a rut in Fortree. Now with new determination and a purpose Jon, Kate, Luxio and Charmander (who didn't want to evolve) were going for the best, to be the best. They weren't feeling the best though, soaked to the bone and shivering in the tent to gain whatever heat they could. The awkward situation came up again, there he was with no shirt on trying to get warm and there she was just staring into nothingness, with brief glimpses to him. It was awkward for her too, she was cold and wet and probably smelt like a wet Poochyena. There was also her best friend too, cols as she was but with his shirt off. Gods, why was he so good looking with his shirt off? He wasn't the most muscular type in the human world, nor the tallest or fastest but he had a quality that set him apart from the rest of them. He was adaptable, changed with everything yet staying the same good ol' Jonathan. Heck most of the time he fought her to a draw while they sparred, and that was remarkable in itself. Then there was his humour and charm, his eyes, of his emerald green eyes and STOP. Stop thinking of him like that! Why should she even entertain the thought of being attracted to him? She was just a Pokemon, and he was a human. They were just trainer an Pokemon, partners in a goal to be the best that they could be. She wanted to be the best too, just to impress him and to make him happy to be with her. She was definitely happy with him too, she spent the best 6 years of her life with him. She missed the days when they slept in each other's arms. When he was just a boy and she was just a Riolu. Oh if she could sleep in the arms he had in now she would just... rrrrrSTOP. She couldn't though. He was the reason she was so happy. The reason why she evolved. His care, his terrible jokes, his loving and kind nature. He cared for each one of his Pokemon, they weren't his pets, they were his friends. She was filled with admiration and respect for the boy who grew up to be her man. She knew she could never have him though. Nobody could see their relationship if they were together and he deserved better. A human girl to date and have fun with, to love and to have pups with (or "children" as she heard him call human young). She couldn't have him, but oh she wanted to have him. He looked at her, eyes closed and shivering. She was really cute when she wasn't being all tough and she was the closest thing to a girlfriend he ever had. Damn, he couldn't see her like this, he had to do something he hadn't done for a while. He removed his pokeballs and climbed into the sleeping bag. "C'mon Kate you are shivering, warm yourself up with me." he said in his calm warm voice. Oh this was going to send a whole bunch of things he really didn't mean (or did he really?) to the female Lucario. She opened her eyes and was obviously overjoyed at the thought, though she tried to hide it. He dismissed it as a desire to get warm as she scrambled to get under the covers with him and cuddled against his chest. "Man we haven't done this sine the Academy haven't we?" he said laughing. "No master we haven't but you won't see me complaining" she blurted out, then realizing her mistake she stammered while heavily blushing "b-because it is really warm you know? I hate the cold." He laughed at her embarrassment and wrapped an arm around her to get warm. He loved this and wondered why he went so long without cuddling like this. A barrage of conflicts rose in his mind. The fact that she was a Pokemon, the fact that he could get a prison sentence ‘Ohmygod! Ohmygodohmygod...' she thought over and over as she cuddled with him. This was probably the most intimate thing she did with him over the three years she was a Lucario. She enjoyed it immensely as she wrapped her own arm around his and breathed in his scent and relaxed in his aura. He was also different in this aspect too. As most humans had a orange glow to their aura, he had a calming blue essence around him. Being this close to him it was enough to affect her as she just accepted that this was one of the best moments of her life as she fell to a relaxing slumber. * * * Descend. No, don't fall, falling implies that there is something to fall onto or into. There isn't anything to fall on the darkness that could be into your dreams, you just have to descend. There, now you see the difference. You aren't really going somewhere or travelling in something new. You were already there, weren't you? Then wake up and remind yourself where you are! Wake up. Seriously, wake the fuck up! * * * Kate woke up slowly, the rise and fall of something underneath her head, a dull ‘thump, thump, thump' resonated. She then realized the position that her and her trainer were in. The sleeping bag top was off of them and sunlight made the tent glow in a soft golden glow. Somehow her master rolled on his back and she must have subconsciously moved on... top of him somehow. He leg was in between his and she was resting on his chest, the gentle rise and fall of his breathing slowly moving her head. His arms were on his sides, but angled so that his hands were on her back. She slowly moved to his face, staring at the worn rugged look of it. Yes sure he hasn't really shaved in a week and that he hasn't washed up in a while but it still looked amazingly... awesome. His confidence shone everywhere, and luckily for her it wasn't cocky confidence either, just a amazing perception of everything and everyone that happened to win almost every battle. She realized how close she was to him, his mouth was slightly open, warm moist air making contact with her lips, his slow breaths seemingly drawing her mouth closer to him... almost there...she never experienced a human kiss before... she always wanted too, especially with her trainer... Then he opened his eyes. Time almost stopped, there she was, right over him and just millimetres away from locking lips with him. If he waited a second more she probably would be kissing him! She froze, her eyes wide with shock and moved her head back a bit, just staring at him, not knowing what to say. "M-master! I-I-I'm sorry! Oh gods! I'm so sorry!" she cried out, tears streaming down her face as they both sat up. She moved off of him and started to get out of the tent, scrambling over his stuff as his backpack was tangled with her foot. She got it off of her and unzipped the tent entrance, crying madly as her stunned trainer sat there. She was almost out before she was grabbed around the shoulders and was almost dragged back into the tent. She was thrown to the ground by her master and pinned. He was over her, legs and arms pinning her to the tent floor as he stared into her dazzling blood-red ruby eyes that were still crying. Thousands of thoughts burst through her mind. ‘Oh by the Great Ones! He is going to release me! He is going to make me a wild and never see me again! I'm so fucking stupid! Why the hell did I think of trying that with him?'. "Master! Please don't release me!" she begged as tears streamed down her face "Please I'm so sorry! I don't want to leave you! I am so sorry I love-" She was cut off by his lips attaching onto hers, time really stood still then. The Taillow and Pidgeys stopped chirping, the Mothim stopped fluttering outside, the Beedrill and Combee stopped buzzing. Her life just stopped as her trainer took one of the most forbidden steps of human culture. Her inexperience was no problem as they kept their lips locked. They moved into their embraces, Kate's legs intertwining with Jon's as they kissed. Her fur felt absolutely exquisite between his fingers and on his skin, and she wasn't complaining either as she ran a paw through his blonde hair. He ran his tongue over her mouth before she got the idea and soon enough they were wrestling not only their bodies, but their tongues as well. His hand caressed down her body, coasting down towards the growing warmth within her...things began to fade to black... Then they both woke up. Both parties opened their eyes and closed them as fast as possible. They both realized the position that they were in. It was exactly the same one they had in their dreams, however they were unaware that they both shared the same experience and both didn't know that the other was awake. Also, both didn't want their contact to end and feigned slumber. Jon was thinking heavily on the dream since it meant more mentally than it did to Kate, who enjoyed it immensely on an emotional level. He thought of the moral and law ramifications of the situation with a clear and rational mind. They couldn't be open, that was for sure. Hell, even gays weren't open due to the church being all up with their self righteousness. They couldn't have children, that was defiantly certain and without any question. If they were completely happy though, would that mean anything? He wasn't the best with morals, he stole things now and then, especially when he was in the Academy. Kids sometimes took his money so he had to learn to obtain lunch in less-than-lawful ways. If it was right to steal in order to eat than wasn't it right to love in secret? Both were illegal but he knew that the comparison couldn't be anymore different. This was a difference between a slap on the wrist and getting ass-raped in prison. Not to mention that Kate would certainly be killed. But DAMN, she was almost completely irresistible and must be having a great dream, she was actually purring on his chest. A weird canine purr if there could be a way to describe it, a deeper tone but the intention was the same, and this was the first time she ever displayed it as a Lucario. He actually hoped that he shared the same dream with her. She however wasn't really debating the ethical views on the problem or issue at hand. She was just smelling her beloved master's scent, getting as much of him as pokemonly possible. Enjoying his warmth and heartbeat. She didn't need to discuss worrying things with herself, she knew exactly what she felt. Love, plain and clear. She loved her trainer and if he showed her the same feelings she would gladly reciprocate in everyway possible, even if that would mean to become his mate. She actually hoped for it dearly. Jonathan decided to break the contact because, and quite audibly, his stomach gurgled with hunger and he heard his Lucario giggle. "Well wakey wakey Katie!" he laughed, "I am absolutely starving!" "Me too master, what are we going to eat?" She said, chin laying across his chest as if it was absolutely natural. "I dunno, we'll know when we get to Veilstone won't we? Seems like you had a great sleep." She blushed as she said "One of the best in a long time master." "Good me too, who knows? Maybe this whole ‘sleep together thing' should be started again." he said calmly as if it was slightly innocent. "Yes master I would love that." she replied, trying not to sound too happy. * * * "Take me on a rocket ride" -Felix Da Housecat "Rocket Ride (Soulwax Remix)" Jon and Kate were able to travel to Veilstone city easily and did some shopping after having a light breakfast. They took the team out and trained for most of the day to raise their power in order to tackle the next gym. Dinner was fairly uneventful. It was nice and casual and conversation was to the next gym battle instead of the morning that they ‘shared' for lack of a better word. Kate wanted to sit at the top of the Veilstone Shopping Centre and enjoy the sunset. They got to the top and watched as Jon hummed a pleasant tune. Or so it seemed to be to Kate, listened to rock music on his Pokenav so for all she knew it could be about death and sodomy. She admired the sun as it set on the watery horizon. It cast a warm orange glow over everything, making the trees cast long shadows as the birds flew over the lake that was behind the imposing tower that was situated beside the mall. She looked at her trainer, his golden hair flowing gently in the wind. She had to have him, she placed her paw over his hand on the safety rail and looked into his face as he returned her gaze. "Master I-" she began. "If you are going to say something extremely important Kate I suggest we say it elsewhere, there are way too many people here and you might say something that would make someone very upset if they overheard. Of course that depends entirely on what you are going to say. Now is it urgent or can it wait for after this sunset. We haven't had much time to rest have we?" Jon said, slowing on some words to imply their importance. "No master it can wait, and yes you train us a lot." "Yeah I do that because I want you to be the best. Of course." "Naw, you do that because you like my tail you pervert." "Ah, shut up and watch the sunset." "But still Charman-" She was cut off by an explosion that resonated through the building. People started screaming and smoke started to billow from the base of the Mall. People on the roof ran into the elevator in a desperate attempt to get off the roof as more explosions shook the building, coming higher up and creating more fires. The door closed and soon it was only Jon and Kate standing on the burning building. "Kate! Whatever it is, it is coming up! Those weren't bombs so watch out for a Pokemon okay?" he yelled at her. She didn't reply as she took a fighting stance. Another explosion sounded, coming closer and closer. She heard screaming as it sounded like the elevator stopped moving. She ignored everything but her master's call and the door that was situated in front of her, an Aura Sphere charging up. She didn't have enough time to fire it as the door was literally blown off it's hinges and collided with her body. She was knocked across the roof and landed on Jon, her Aura Sphere smashing into the rails and breaking them off behind them. All Jon could hear was ringing in his ears as everything went blurry and out of focus as he held his hurt Lucario in his arms, blood slowly running across his hands from a gash in her chest. Then he saw what emerged from the door. It was black and floating, it's head was a moving flame of white underneath the white was a collar of blood red. It turned to him, it's eyes were in pain and suffering as if it was being hunted for sport. Jonathan pulled himself from under his Lucario as he stood in front of her. "If you are going to kill her you have to go through me!" he yelled defiantly. The being looked at him, yes he would be perfect for a while. He flew at him with outstretched hands as Jon crossed his arms to brace for the collision. It didn't come however as the creature went into him. Jon felt his actions and consciousness get pushed to the side as he felt an unfamiliar sensation wrack his system. He immediately knew through some strange innate sense who was now inside him. It was Darkrai, one of the Greats, a Legendary Pokemon. "Thanks for the compliment human but I am not here to hurt you." a cooling and soothing voice spoke across his failing consciousness. Darkrai took total control of Jon's body and stood up defiantly to the human chasing him. Then he came, a large man who was about six and a half feet tall and wore a black tenchcoat. The jet black hair covered most of his face as a single brown eye stared at him. "Darkrai, you are finished. Stop running from me. Join me." he said. "Never ,Jason" Jon/Darkrai replied. "I think you are purely evil, you can't handle the darkness." "What do you mean? I am darkness itself? You even said I was evil!" Jason asked. "There is a fundamental difference that you are clearly mistaking in your imperfect body." "Another reason to get a perfect body and a perfect soul." "Never. I'll never join scum like you!" Kate stared at the bizarre scene that was portrayed to her. She raised herself to her knees and looked at Jon, his aura was all wrong, it was completely a blood red hue. The being in front of her wasn't Jon, it was something completely different. However the other man had a black aura, not black... it was just dead. That was impossible! "What are you afraid of? Is it me? Are you afraid of me?" Jason laughed. "Rydon! Come!" The floor broke open in between Jon/Darkrai and Jason. The next series of events felt as if they were played in slow motion. She heard screaming and a crack of steel cables as the elevator plunged twenty floors to the base of the building, exploding and sending fire blast out to the generators situated in the basement. The following quick explosions shook the building as Jon took over his body in Darkrai's distraction. He turned to Kate and ran towards her. Grabbing Kate in his arms he lifted her effortlessly and placed a foot on the rail. The explosion from the basement reached the top of the elevator shaft and in an explosion of pressure and fire Jon and Kate were blasted off the building, losing consciousness even before their bodies hit the lake below them. "YOU SHALL NOT PERISH BECAUSE OF ME!" was the last thing Jon heard before succumbing to the enveloping darkness.
