"I cant?" I asked "I cant what?"

A soft hiss said " ITS ME!"

"who are you?" I asked

there was no response.

I woke that morning, ate breakfast and went to school. At lunch time, I was digging trough my locker and tossing some old work out.

A human walked along, went headfirst into the floor and rolled on his back. He asked "what you doing?"

I laughed and said "I should be asking you the same thing"

"I don't know why I did this" he said.

"you best get-up" I said "the teachers would kill you if they saw you on the floor like that"

He stood-up and said "good idea, thanks" he cracked his fingers and asked "need help?"

I closed my locker door and said "nah, just finished"

We started walking away, he asked "want to go outside? and play something?"

I smiled and said "Yes!'

We walked outside and he asked "what do you want to play?"

"As long as I'm doing something, I'm happy" I said

"how about a race?" he suggested "once around the school!"

"ON THREE" I said "... ONE!... TWO!... THREE!" and he broke into a sprint, a fast jog was all it took to keep-up with him.

We rounded the first two corners and than we where on the longest straight. By the time I ran the length of the school he has only ran half that. I crossed the finish line and had time to catch my breath before the boy I was racing crossed the line.

Between breaths, he said "dang... Your pretty fast!"

"Well I am a fox!" I said "by the way, I didn't catch your name"

"you ever asked" he said as we went trough the school door. "I'm Richard"

I said "and I'm Tod"

I went home after school that day, put-up the Christmas tree (with help from mom and dad) and decorated it.

That night I went to sleep and just flew trough "fun with Balloon Boy"

In my Nightmare I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a tub of Neapolitan ice cream and started shoveling it into my mouth. I walked into the living room, Nightmare Bonnie, nightmare Chica, Nightmare mangle, Nightmare Freddy and his Freddles where all slumped-over and wearing Santa hats.

I asked "Whats wrong guys?"

Nightmare Chica held-up her cupcake, the cupcake said "we cant scare you... We are made by your scared brain to scare you... If we cant do that, than we are not doing what you designed us to do"

I said "maybe my scared brain just isn't scared by you any more"

The cupcake said "if we cant scare you, we should just leave... Never bring you nightmares again!"

"NO!" I said "don't leave!"

The cupcake said "We just as well be the normal animatronics... Than we would just play and have adventures"

Mangle jumped-up and said "I got it... You guys say your goodbyes, I'm going to go and tell nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare"

We said our goodbyes, nightmare Freddy said "next time you see us, we will look and be completely harmless" They all vanished into the air

Nightmare Fredbear walked to me and said "well... we had some fun. And some scares... Next you see me, I will look like I did when you last saw me in real life... Goodbye" he too vanished.

Nightmare came to me, he said "and you will never see again... I'm sorry, tonight is our last night"

I woke that morning, crying from that true nightmare... I guess I can still play with them when they aren't scary. Oh, wait... I thought the originals where scariest. I cried until I had to leave for school.
