A night elf druid bemoans her lack of companionship ever since she has embraced the spirit of Teldrassil.

As Lady Sun sinks behind arches of wood, Teldrassil maiden, tall and slender, with hair of sapphire Eyes of emerald; she crouches, alert. She keeps watch over Ents of old.

She thinks of her home: family, fireplace, a bed of silk instead of Ancient's petals. She thinks of all she's left behind. Then, her hand brushes her blade's hilt. She chose this, to be Nature's Daughter. O Destiny's cruel twist!

She's so lonely, alone.

With a cry of sorrow, and a flash as of ether, she is gone. Wolf spirit, loosened, dashes through the greeny shadow.

Leave it behind, leave it.

The wind tears through Changling's fur, as if alive. Tawny leaves dance in her wake, A trail of pawprints left in her place And power in sinew and muscle ripple.

She's free! But what is freedom, but a thing so fleeting?

A fragile thing, black as night, bounds through the woods A hardy adventurer, though so frail, so easily crushed... With a growl of triumph, and a pounce, Changling earns her dinner.

Again she runs, and faster, her titan legs barely touching ground. She is flying! Or as close as an Earthbound can get...

But she must stop, her strength ebbed, and the loneliness comes back in force. To the top of a precipice she goes, overlooking Elwynn. And mournful, tormented howl of demon beast stirs the heart of most.

As she howled, again she changed; Back to the form of lesser self And as she did, howl became scream on her lips. She fell to her knees, mourning her pain, her family, friends She would never see again. Twas the law, For this is the fate of Nature's Daughters.

Lonely, alone...
