My first attempt at writing anthro work that is SFW. It is still a work in progress, I would appreaciate some constructive criticism.

*Updated December 1st 2015**** I wrote some more over the past few days and this afternoon, so I figured I would post it now, not sure when it will be complete since I have a busy life and this story doesn't necessarily have a direct plot.

Morning Walk in the Waterfront Park

It was a cold brisk Spring morning in the city of Bayview, it was around 5:50 in the morning and the sun was shining brightly throughout the metropolis. Ben had gotten up out of bed after having a fine dream, Ben wrote his dream down his diary under his pillow before getting up out of bed. Ben then checked the messages on his phone before walking over to the bathroom to get his morning shower. After getting a shower, Ben browsed his wardrobe to try to choose his outfit for the day. To Ben, it was sometimes like a Quest for the Holy Grail to choose his outfit since he had so many choices. After a few minutes of though, Ben chose to wear some denim cargo jean shorts, along with a matching tee-shirt.

Ben then applied some cologne and grabbed his wallet and phone before walking downstairs into the kitchen. Ben got a energy drink out of the fridge along with some eggs as he began to make an egg sandwhich.

Afterwards, Ben walked out of his home while drinking his energy drink. As Ben walked down the street, Ben found an old cobalt blue glass beer bottle in some brush along the sidewalk and had put it in his bag before continuing down to the railroad crossing. In the distance Ben could hear a train approaching and he quickly ran down to the crossing as he got his camera ready. Down the tracks, Ben could see an aged end-cab locomotive that was puffing smoke like a steam engine. Ben used burst shooting as he began to take dozens of snapshots as the locomotive approached, Ben also zoomed out before the train got too close. As it began to pass Ben, he could see the train was carrying flatcars loaded with PVC pipes. The locomotives on this train were painted a dark blue color, which over the course of a couple decades was faded into a light blue, much like a well broken-in pair of jeans. The locomotives also had a B-B pair of trucks, which means they had two trucks, with two axles in each truck. Unlike most other locomotives of this one's age, there was barely any rust on these locomotives, as they spent their whole life in the warm climates in this part of the country. On the lead engine however, some mischievous husky spray painted a dick on the lower part of the cab below the roster number with bright neon pink spray paint.

After the train had finally passed, Ben put his camera back in the case and continued walking into town, along the way, Ben had ran into a husky with an agouti type fur pattern. The Agouti husky was at least in his late 80's (which was still rather young for the husky society as they age much slower than humans), one could tell that he was well experienced just by looking right into his eyes. This husky was getting rid of a trash can full of glass alcohol bottles, many of them were different types. Ben said, "Excuse me sir, would you mind if I browsed through those bottles you have there? You see, I am a collector of bottles, especially glass ones." The agouti husky replied, "Sure you can, help yourself to as many as you want." Ben shook the husky's paw and then began to browse through the can full of bottles. Quite a few of the ones on the top of the pile were in a emerald green glass and appeared to be quite common, however they would make good items for the bottle cutter. There were some large oddly shaped liquor bottles that appeared to be in the shape of a bowling pin, and another bottle found in the bottom was that of a soda discontinued in the late 1990's. Ben had taken all of the bottles he deciding to keep and placed all of them in his bag before continuing walking down the street. Ben then walked the rest of the way to the Waterfront Park. Waterfront Park was a large park that was parallel to the Clarkson side of the Bayview Bay, it offered fantastic views of the downtown skyline of Bayview albeit it being a small portion of the skyscrapers in Bayview. Many Huskies both local and abroad visit this park to take fantastic pictures of the skyline, especially at night. Before walking into the park, Ben had seen a Fifties era taxicab transporting a young husky couple down the boulevard parallel to the park and had quickly documented the old taxi. Although most of them were still in service, Ben was unsure if they would be discontinued. The taxicab was most likely an late 1970's or early 1980's model, it had clean leather seats in the back, brand new parts and appeared to have been recently washed.

Afterwards, Ben continued on his morning walk in the park, he stopped at the end of the bankment above the river and took many photos of the Bayview skyline. As Ben continued walking along the park path parallel to the river, Ben found a grey and white furred husky taking photos of the skyline as well. However this husky was not using a digital camera, he was using a Rangefinder that had to be at least from the Mid-1970's. The Husky appeared to be in his late 30's or so, his fur and face were well groomed like that of a business executive. The grey and white furred husky was wearing a pair of stonewashed jeans, a white undershirt and a black leather jacket.

Ben had approached the husky as he took a picture of a ferry traversing the Bay carrying Huskies and their automobiles to an island across the Bay. It must have been a bunch of well to do Huskies since just about all of the vehicles were luxury cars or sports cars. Ben said, "Excuse me sir, I just wanted to ask how old your Rangefinder was." The Husky looked at Ben with a raised eyebrow of curiosity and replied, "This rangefinder is about 30 years old, I got it during a sale back in the 80s." Ben looked quite intrigued as the Husky told the 30 year story of the rangefinder. Ben then replied, "My name is Ben, and you?" The grey and white furred Husky replied, "My name is Bruno." Bruno offered his a paw as a gesture for a pawshake and Ben took it and gave him a pawshake. Ben replied, "It was nice meeting you, but I have to keep going on my walk, we'll be in touch." Ben and Bruno said farewell and continued on their way.

Ben continued walking the asphalt sidewalk through the park, he soon approached a part of the sidewalk that went around a sky blue wooden gazebo like a stepover fitting. This part of the path also got closer to the street and Ben stopped here to take some pictures of the vehicles that went down the street. Coming down the street was a propane bobtail that appeared to have the cab of a M35A Deuce and a half. This truck was much older than most of the bobtails that went through the area which had the modern cabs with luxuries like air conditioning and a digital radio. Although the bobtail was old, it still ran like it was just put off the production line yesterday. It was emitting black diesel smoke out of the exhaust stack as it's metal flapper flung up in the air. The smoke cloud seemed to be almost like that of a steam train from in the past. Ben got out his DSLR as he began to take pictures of it driving down the street. Ben had taken about 20 pictures of the M35 bobtail as it drove by.

Afterwards, Ben had continued walking down the sidewalk as the sun finally began to peek outside the clouds illuminating the landscape in a wonderful yellow light. Ben had put his sunglasses on as he continued to walk down the sidewalk, soon Ben approached a ditch that was dug for drainage purposes. The drain took all of the water from the storm sewers and sent it into the bay, it only had riprap rocks lining the bottom of it to prevent erosion. Growing along the edges of the drainage ditch were these bushes that looked almost like pokeweed bushes, but had berries growing on them in clusters like that of an elderberry bush. All of the berries on this plant were a bright blue color, but some of them were pink in color too. Ben remembered reading about this plant, it was the Amators plantae, which translated into modern language meant Lover's Plant, as the berries and branches of this plant were an edible aphrodisiac. However, this wasn't speculation; this had been tested by the Huskies over 600 years, so it was a well known plant. Ben went into his backpack and got out some large aqua colored glass jars and set them down on the ground as he got his pocket knife. Ben was going to put the berries in the one jar and place some of the branches in the other jar. Several by several, Ben had continuously collected the berries and placed them in the large aqua glass jar. After Ben had collected just about all of the berries, he then took his knife and cut sections of the branches off of the Lover's Plant. It wouldn't really matter as this plant did re-grow rather quickly. Ben managed to cut off about 30 branch pieces and place them in the other glass jar before sealing them both for later. Before Ben left, he found a small glass liquor bottle (like the ones Huskies can conceal in a pocket) and placed it in his inventory for his collection. Ben put the glass jars in his backpack and continued walking down the sidewalk.

After walking about 500 feet down the park, Ben came across two building that were facilities serving Huskies in the park. The ones was a shack built with the appearance of a log cabin in the woods, but rather than having rooms inside, there were four vending machines. Two of them for sodas, and two others for snacks, then the other building built out of concrete contained some restrooms. There was also some water fountains built for Huskies who did not have too much money on them for a free drink. Ben had then walked inside of the men's bathroom to use the urinal and found that the urinal was a large U-shaped stainless steel trough that went along the walls of the bathroom past the stalls. While Ben went, another husky had walked in to use the bathroom as well. This husky had a red and white fur pattern and was at least in his late teens or early twenties. Ben looked over at the Husky coming in and said, "Good morning sir, how are you today?" The red and white furred husky smiled and replied, "I'm actually doing pretty good, I just got my new camera yesterday and I had come to the park to shoot some pictures with it." The red and white furred Husky stood next to Ben and talked about his new camera which turned out to be a DSLR from what he described. Ben asked, "Is it able to change lenses?" The Husky replied, "Indeed it can, I already have two of them with me in my bag." Ben said, "Then yes, you do have a DSLR camera, I have had mine for about eight years now, but I've always respected mine and I had paid a price steeper than what you probably paid for it." The husky said, "I paid about 700 royals for mine, how about you?" Ben replied, "I paid about 2,000 royals for mine when it came out, but you see that was when these were state of the art, which although they were around since the late 80s or early 90s, they finally became practical. However, mine still photographs like it is brand new, because I have also taken good care of mine." The young pup asked, "Oh really, if these cameras were around since the 90s, why didn't anyone have one yet?" Ben replied, "You see, these digital ones were quite impractical for their time, they had a large twenty pound box you carried on your shoulder which stored the data, and the camera only took a very small picture, about the size of a stamp, while film was more portable and took bigger format images at the time. I will say your generation is quite privelaged with the technology you now have today, you see when I was your age, all I had was a 110 film format camera and I had to carry film cassettes with me." Ben and the teenage pup finished and washed their paws before heading outside to a green metal bench across the street from the park.

The red and white husky pup asked, "So, what brand camera do you have?" Ben asked, "Well first, I was going to ask for your named, my name is Ben." The husky pup smiled and replied, "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Diesel, my family moved into town about three years ago to get out of the busy life of Bayview, but still retain our connections to the city.
