The storm had began to tear through the jungle around the castle as Sasha looked out at it and up to the aurora. With all the facts about the planet, it was to be expected that a storm here would reach destructive forces up to nearly four times the ones of Earth. With that in mind, two storms colliding with each other could technically create an aurora. Sighing to herself, Sasha paced back to the throne and sat down in it as she felt the powers draining away from her, "Neo... why did you curse me with this nightmare?"

Down in the hallway, J.R. and Akari ran as J.R. attempted to communicate with her sister Peridot, but with the aurora hanging in the sky, it was almost impossible for her to reach her, "Come on, darn it!" Akari looked worried as without a regard for own health, J.R. pushed the huge doors to the castle open and ran out into the storm brewing, "Julie-chan, slow down!" He looked after her as she ran, "Where are we even going?"

In a huge graveyard, a wyvern was growling at a male dragon trying to help her, "Calm down, girl. I am not wanting to hurt you. I am wanting to help you." He had climbed into her nest after seeing how she was struck by lightning in the air, her scorched wings folding slowly before she hit the nest. It had been some luck that he noticed it with the storm coming and soon he could see another lightning coming as he quickly deflected it down into the valley, seeing how a temple got struck and the sheer force broke apart the construct to reveal a grave, the male putting his hand in the maw, "Oops." The wyvern growled again before leaping out at him, finding his arm in her jaws before the sound of bones breaking could be heard. The male was screaming out in pain, but soon he deflected another lightning that nearly struck them, noticing this one striking a nearby tree that sent both him and the wyvern into the nearby stone wall.

The wyvern looked badly injured, but just as he was about to heal her up, he felt the powers draining out and looked up to the sky, the pain making him close his eyes slowly, just slow enough to give him the view of the colorful aurora. He looked down as even with the aurora, he still could feel her spirit and with the visualization of a flame, he saw that hers was just about to burn out. Her growl was dying off as he reached over to pet her head, a tear in his eye that calmed her down slowly before his softly hushed to her, "There, there, girl. You put up a good fight to survive and to come here. I promise to not let your egg be destroyed. Just rest now."

As the wyvern looked up at him, she bit off what was left of his arm and threw it away before the male let out a roar of pain from both losing his arm, but also from witnessing another death. He had been tormented by nightmares of death and taken as it to defend the weak and the ones he loved. With a final breath, the wyvern laid her head against his chest before the fire burned out in her eyes.

At the northwestern coast, far away from the graveyard, Tenchi and Peridot sat and discussed the plans for the future of the tribe with the rest of the family, just as the storm began to hit them and the aurora was appearing. They had looked out as Peridot soon heard something in her mind and looked at the rest, "I thought I heard Julie Ruby. She said something of still missing and the aurora being dangerous." It was at that point it began to show itself as Vana's ice claw broke and so did Janch's metal claw, they both looked shocked, "Oh no, the aurora is draining us!" Tenchi began to feel herself being drained too before her cybernetic arm shut off and so did one of her eyes, she was quick with understanding, "Uncle Alex... Jigo! Take Leicna and fly out and find Alex! If this storm is powerful like this, he will most likely be very injured or dying. Quick!" Jigo looked at his pet wyvern and soon nodded before they ran straight out into the rain from the house, taking to air after Jigo quickly had began to make an ice armor around them, only for it to shatter when the aurora affected him and soon it became apparent that he was needing to trust in his wyvern, "Leicna... my lenses are dead, I cannot see a thing!"

Back outside the capital city, Akari and J.R. were running towards the bridge connecting the island they were on at the moment, to the mainland itself. They knew from the fast geography lesson that like Earth, most of the planet was covered in a vast sea and there was a continent with two islands near it. Reaching the bridge, J.R. slowed down before panting as Akari saw what seemed to be a wyvern coming towards them, just as Leicna dove down and landed in front of them, J.R. jumping back a bit before seeing Jigo, "Uncle Jigo! We need to find Alex quickly!" Jigo sighed, "Then you got to be my eyes. My lenses are completely dead." Akari looked confused until J.R. did explain, it was then that Akari knew what Jigo had meant, "Okay, lets go then and find him." With her wings spreading in the rain, Leicna took to the air again, but stayed close to guide J.R. and Akari.

Back in the nest, the male had managed to pull the wyvern out of the nest and down towards the valley, told by everyone in the family to be where the wyverns came when they were about to die. As a matter of honor to him, he had made the decision to try pulling her corpse down there, even with just one arm, the powerful growls of pain and anger that he let out could barely cover the strength he needed to move her. He was about to give up when he heard an angry roar and looked up to see a huge wyvern coming towards him, his mind racing at this point as he closed his eyes and offered his throat for a quick and painless death. To his surprise, the wyvern had stopped just a few inches from him and leaned in to actually sniff before moving back as the male opened an eye and saw the wyvern actually pushing the dead female. He decided it was better to not question nature before grabbing a new hold of the foreleg and attempt to pull her down to the graveyard in the valley, the wyvern seeming to understand it as it pushed harder.

When the female's body finally touched the holy ground, the male looked at the wyvern that had helped him and moved over slowly to give a brush on the wing before returning to the nest, hearing the sound of the behemoth falling over on the side as a tear formed in his eye. Back at the nest, he noticed the lightning becoming more frequent and leaned over the egg, softly hushing to it, "There, there, little one. I am not going to hurt you, but your mom didn't make it. But I will not let her sacrifice be in vain. I will protect you with my own life." He wrapped his slender body around it to cover it up while shivering himself, the rain was freezing cold and didn't help the fact at all that he was needing to keep the egg warm, "Please... gods who may not know me... I beg of you, let this one survive, even if I am taken as a price for it."

Out near the coast, Jigo, J.R. and Akari with Leicna had just arrived to the mainland and Leicna seemed to smell something as she landed and sniffed the ground, soon whimpering before giving a loud growl, Jigo picking it up, "She says something smelling like an unbathed evil has walked by here a week ago." J.R. wasted no time and called out, "Uncle Alex! Where are you?" Akari even helping out to call for Alex, "Samurai-kun! Where are you?" Jigo rubbed along Leicna's head before giving off an "Woah!" when she suddenly took to the air, forcing J.R. and Akari to run after them, "Hey! Wait up!" They didn't however notice where they were running and soon the ground caved in, sending them both down an underground tunnel as Jigo heard their screams of fear, "Julie! Akari!" But it was too late now, as they were out of audible range for him now.

When they finally reached the bottom of the tunnel, Akari looked at J.R. and held her close, "You okay, Julie-chan?" J.R. nodded before trying to stand up, only to whimper in pain as she held her lower leg, "I think I have broken my tibia." Akari looked worried and tried to move her closer before the sound of water could be heard and Akari was scared, "Julie-chan, I think this is some sort of trap, because I am hearing water filling up here." J.R. looked down the dark tunnel before noticing the water level rising, her eyes closing as she began to cry, "Akari... please, climb out of here and save yourself."

Akari couldn't believe what he was hearing, "No, I am not leaving you, Julie-chan. I will not let someone I care for die now." J.R. cried, "I will only slow you down. Climb out and save yourself now!" Akari whimpered before grabbing some roots hanging from the ceiling of the underground tunnel, long enough to tie their wrists together as he laid down against her front, pulled both her arms in front of him while skillfully with one hand at a time, tie their arms together before a few more roots were torn down from the ceiling, allowing him to make a longer one to tie around their waists. J.R. had never seen such a determination before as he had just now made the decision to not only carry himself, but also her at the same time. As the warmth in her chest grew, she felt him pull her up before walking over to the wall they had to scale, slowly grabbing one stone at a time together with him, using her only good leg to push them both up, also making sure he had a solid hold of the slippery rocks, until they felt the water touching their feet, "This is it, we gonna die here."

Jigo felt bad that he had left them behind, but the main focus was to save Alex, wherever he might be. Leicna seemed to know where to go as she was doing corkscrews and loops between the swinging trees, her sharp senses picking up the scent of someone before she growled, "What is it, girl? You found him?" Jigo asked as Leicna growled in response before her wings were flapping faster, the treetops soon becoming visible as she flew higher into the sky, just as a lightning struck down into the valley.

The male was covering the egg while fighting off the storm's powers, his body having taken a beating from branches, fruits and some rocks that had begun to embed themselves into his body, the pain being nothing of his concern as long as the egg was safe. He looked at the arm laying a bit away from him, but without his powers he could not fix it. He whimpered before another lightning struck down from the sky, this one hitting his tail and a loud painful roar was heard throughout the valley and forest surrounding it as the power from it had dislodged fragments from the ground itself that were impaled into his body, but during his moment of pain, he noticed the white surface of the egg was now having lightning symbols over it. He looked at it and seemed as if peace would finally come before he closed his eyes and felt the light slip away.

Back in the hole, Akari and J.R. was fighting against the water level to get out of the tunnel as quickly as they could, but it was soon filling too fast and it wasn't long before J.R.'s head disappeared under the surface while she and Akari kept on climbing, trying to reach their way out. Akari was showing signs of fatigue and J.R. knew it would not be long before. Suddenly she felt him losing the grip of the rock and she looked down at him, seeing that he had passed out. J.R.'s pain wasn't existing anymore as she took a firmer grip of the rock, determination showing on her face as she scaled the rocks faster than their combined effort and after two minutes of struggling, J.R. finally took a deep breath when she came above the surface and climbed out the hole, the first instinct being to check on Akari, "Akari-kun! Please, wake up." She began to cry when he wasn't replying until a voice spoke in her ear, "It is not his time." As the voice went silent, she heard Akari coughing up water and she hugged him tightly, "Akari, you are alive!" Akari felt her body against his and held her closely, "It seems... that I am."

Soon Leicna flew down where the lightning had struck and upon landing at the ground, she growled out gently to Jigo, "You see someone charred holding an egg? And they wear some colorful robe?" As Leicna moved closer, she pushed on the male gently to expose his face, her growl soon telling all Jigo needed to know, "Wait, whiskers? That is Alex! Wait... you are saying that he is not responding and misses an arm? Oh, by the gods... Lift him up and lets go back for the other two!" As Leicna shoved up Alex on her back, a light awoke in the grave before the aurora and storm began to die off as the wyvern took to the air to fly back to where Akari and J.R. should be, but once reaching the place, Leicna growled softly at the watery hole and Jigo began to cry now, "No... we lost Alex, Akari and Julie..."

It was a heavy tension in the air when Leicna flew back to the tribe's ground, Jigo regaining his sight to meet the horror of Alex's condition, his own right hand soon becoming an ice claw as he put it against Alex's front, slowly encasing him in ice after taking the egg from him. It took them almost fifteen minutes to get back before Leicna landed and everyone came rushing out as Jigo climbed off Leicna and soon the ice-encased Alex was taken off her back, both Yin and Yang running over as the ice broke, their eyes filled with tears, "Dad... Dad... Dad, YOU FOOL!" Yin punched his cheek hard while crying, Tenchi walking over to grab them both and pull them away as Vana and Janch walked closer as Jigo told how they found him like this, holding an egg in a nest and how the temple had been broken.

Janch's right hand curled up into a fist before Vana leaned down, just about to touch him when a light appeared near them both and a voice spoke, "He accidentally blew up the temple in order to protect the egg and the wyvern that laid it. He even honored the one that took his arm by pulling her down to the holy ground. He then protected the egg with his own life. He was willing to die to keep it safe. A more noble action cannot be given by anyone, but a true champion of good." For a second, Janch's jaw dropped when she saw her sister standing there before she disappeared and Alex's body began to glow, all injuries healed, his hair standing out and the robe was now a cloak, under which he wore an armor made of what seemed to be blessed steel.

When the light finally died off, Alex began to slowly stand up as the voice spoke, "Now, arise Alex. The vessel and noble warrior of light." Everyone looked amazed at how Alex had been reborn in front of their own eyes, a light cracking sound being heard when Tenchi moved closer to Jigo to look at the egg, Jigo holding it out to her with a warm smile, "I think this is yours." Tenchi looked in amazement as the egg hatched and a blue wyvern with lightning crossing the body was soon squeaking as Jigo smiled, "Take good care of that one, Tenchi. That is the most rare wyvern breed around on the planet. A Thunder Skyroyal Wyvern. And you are the chosen rider." Tenchi's eyes widened before she saw a hand reaching out to pet the wyvern, "Hi there, little champ." She looked up at Alex as he stood there like a whole new person.

Back in the castle, Sasha looked at J.R. and Akari cuddling up to each other in front of the fireplace, "You may have failed to bring him back, but you succeeded in finding the power to fight for each other. I think you are ready now." J.R. leaned against Akari who kissed her as Sasha left the two lovers behind before holding her head while whimpering lightly, "Grrr... she is growing more powerful. I need to get Tenchi back into shape and ready." Sasha said as she looked to the moon before hearing a soft grunt, "Sasha! I need to have a word with you!" Sasha turned to look at Sedrin coming walking towards her, his body more muscular and with fur growing out from all over his body before Sasha smirked, "I see that someone implanted the Lycanus gene in you." Oh boy, Sasha had to explain this to him now and what a kick in the behind someone certain would need after this.

The End.
