#11 of The new dinosaur

Three months... Only three months, thats how long it took for the Albertosaurus chicks to be the size of a turkey! We released them into there enclosure. The three dinosaurs explored the area, running between the thick trees in the back of the enclosure and playing some _ game _ almost like tag... But with more nipping.

They are still darkly colored... They are starting to grow longer feathers, in the shape of a fan, on there tails. The biggest of the three has a small feather crest coming-in on its head.

I was watching them as they played, the biggest one pined another, nipped at it and let it get-up.

Gena walked over to me, she asked "how are they?"

I said "good!" I pointed at the biggest one, I said "she is establishing a pack and asserting her dominance" "and how are you?" I asked.

"good" she said... She sighed and said "I'm pregnant"

"Well I expected that!" I said "took you long enough to bring it up to me"

"I wanted to wait to tell you" she said "uh... just because I like making sure before I get peoples hopes up"

I nodded... I said " so...you waited about a third of the way trough the pregnancy before telling me"

"pretty much" Gena said while nodding.

We walked back to the lab, laughing all the way.

We walked into the lab. Alexa, the lion geneticist, approached us. She said "we have decoded the genome of another amber"

"Amazing" I said. "and what was in this one?" I asked

She gazed into the distance. she sighed and said "Troodon... And we can start cloning tomorrow if you want us to"

"yes, start cloning" I said "I got to go... do research on the Troodon" Alexa nodded and Gena and I went into our room.

After some time of researching, I came up with the most important facts. 3 feet tall, 8 feet long, 110 pounds. That will determine the size of the enclosure and number of dinosaurs cloned. I also wrote some interesting facts. serrated teeth, likely feathered, SMART!

A emperor penguin egg would be big enough... Now, how hard will it be to get a penguin egg?

Apparently not too hard... Because in four months time we where watching eggs hatch again.

The eggs cracked, we would soon have three new additions to our park. I said "ITS TIME GUYS!!" the guests cheered.

A hole formed in a egg. The eye of the small Troodon, glowing bright yellow with a narrow band of black in the center, running from top to bottom. The tiny eye blinked a few times, widened the hole and climbed out trough it.

The Troodon stumbled over to me and leaned against the incubator, trying to get close to me. I reached in and stroked the soft feathers.

The dinosaur was almost completely covered in pitch-black feathers, the only places not covered is the claws on the hands and feet, within a couple millimeters of the eyes, within a couple millimeters of the nose and within a couple millimeters of the mouth.
