I remember the last fall when the first leaves fell from the trees, actually it was like every year, but it felt different. The sky darkened as if a storm would raise. In hindsight, I wish there had been a thunderstorm. But from the clouds appeared before my eyes a huge unknown spaceship. They where those, who swarmed like locusts on us. First it was just a ship, then an entire armada. They called themselves Kukamia, a reptile-like humanoid race, who sought through mutation and genetic experiments always for perfection. Their greed and their hunger was surpassed only by their infinite power claims. They were not unknown to us, a year before they raided some of our outposts on other planets. They left no survivors, only the monitoring systems could tell us what had happened. But I had never expected that they would attack our home planet Adora. Their technology was decades, if not centuries, behind ours, but it was almost impossible to defend our cities long against them. While we initially had small losses and reconquered almost any city, the time came where the Kukamia fought back with a mighty army. For each Kukamia, who was killed by us waited hundreds of taking his place. First the battles lasted only a few days, but the days turned into weeks, weeks into months and months into years, until finally the Supreme Council decided to abandon the planet, our home. "We can't win", they argued. So we gathered supplies and re-built our fleet, so that the civilian population could live on the ships for several years. It was a black day for each Lupain when the evacuation was completed, but it should be even worse. We had to look on helplessly as a decision was carried out, which none of us would ever have agreed. Since the entire Kukamia armada and all known Kukamia were on Adora, the supreme Council precipitated the conclusion that Adora would be finally freed from the Kukamia. All remaining Lupains were already as good as death and if the Kukamia wouldn't find any more animals on Adora the remaining Lupains would be the only edible things. To spare them this cruel fate the supreme Council decided with a power weapon to wipe out all organic life on Adora. A new settlement would not be a long-term problem with the collected plant seeds. Therefore, we had to watch as a huge energy beam extinguished all life on Adora. The energy was so powerful that it destroyed not only the planet's surface as planned, but even penetrated through to the core. The planet was thus completely destroyed. We sacrificed our families to defeat the Kukamia, in the end we didn't have anything of our victory. Homeless we searched in vain a new planet in our direct vicinity, but we found no planet on which we could live. The supreme Council of our society decided that our fleet should be split in the universe until we find a planet that is suitable for us. On the way to a new world our communications system was heavily damaged by an asteroid. We had no way to repair the damage quickly, a repair would cost us months of time. During the speech of our Council about the delay and food rationing one of our probes reported it's status. We could see images of a nearby planet, it was ten times as large as Adora and consisted of seventy percent water. We quickly realized that this planet could be inhabited, several satellites were orbiting it. First, our Council said that we should ignore this planet. We were too proud and honorable, we shouldn't plead to an alien species to help us. But our food was sabotaged, some sort of mold spread through the ship, half of our stock was affected. Because of the lack of food and water diseases spread. We contacted the alien species that referred to itself as human. As our Council landed on the planet in a big city, humans met us like heroes. Everywhere these humans were on the streets and celebrated us. With their cameras and smartphones they took pictures of us, we could see welcome signs "aliens welcome" with many hearts on them. We were overjoyed to meet such a friendly and helpful species.

13.01.2040 Two years have now passed since we landed on Earth. For three months there is a program, thirty voluntary Lupains in the US took part in it. They should find out as much information about the human history and culture as possible at universities. This program should enable our two species to learn from each other.

28.01.2041 The United States demanded of us that we share our technologies with them. But the participants of the program warned us that humanity has already led many wars. We couldn't refer to the humans as peaceful species anymore. We refused.

29.03.2041 We refused to share our technologies. The United States requests that we disappear. But we can't pursue their claims. We are still working on repairing our communication system. In addition, we are waiting for a signal from the rest of the fleet to move to a new uninhabited planet.

11.05.2041 The US fears an invasion, thus the United States Air Force attacked our ship. Our hunters could destroy the Air Force, but the price was high. Over one hundred Lupains died in this attack, our ship was severely damaged. The communication system had been completely destroyed.

12.05.2041 Our entire soldiers and hunters lead a counter strike. After the attack, many volunteers reported for military service.

14.09.2041 After heavy fighting we could conquer the city of Washington and the entire airspace.

20.09.2041 The Air Force retaliated and destroyed Washington. Hundreds of soldiers and thousands of civilians died in the attack. In the human media we are blamed for the attack. Except for the White House, the entire city is in ruins. The US Army sends thousands of ground troops.

30.09.2041 We sent all our heavily armored units to Washington and retook the city. We discovered mass graves as we looked around for the President and the Vice President. Hundreds Lupains and civilians were shot there.

03.10.2041 We stormed the White House and searched the President of the United States. The surviving civilians helped us in the search. We finally found a bunker where he should stay. Then we opened the bunker under the White House, but found no one in there. We got the tip that the president and vice president are trying to escape unnoticed as civilians.

12.10.2041 We successfully arrested the President, the vice president and some senior military officials of the United States. The US Army has ceased hostilities.

20.10.2041 All Lupains who participated in the program have disappeared.

30.04.2042 All Lupains that participated in the program were declared dead by a council member. Although there were no bodies, the search is stopped completely.
