#9 of So Furry Presents: The Amazing Race
On the last leg of the Amazing Race, players traveled to Los Angeles. Once there, they took different directions to get to the Dolby Theatre. The bakers found a fast forward, the graduates won and the jocks were eliminated. Half of the teams are gone and now only 9 remain.

"Welcome back to Dolby Theatre." Toner says. "Yesterday's winners are first up." June & Mabel step up and June takes the clue.
"Route Info: take an Amazing Race cab and drive to Las Vegas." June reads. Teams will travel to Vegas; the most obvious spot to gamble in America. Players will travel to the Treasure Island Hotel.
"Let's go!" June says. The rest of the teams get the clue and run outside where 9 cabs wait for them. The drive to Las Vegas will be about 4 and a half hours.
For once, the graduates and the humans take separate cabs.
"Why?" Mabel asks when they get in.
"Because, you'll just distracted by Brent." June says. "Besides, we have a race to win."
"I'm driving." Syd says. "You need to get some rest."
"Fine." Brent says. All 9 teams drive off to make it to Vegas.

Four and a half hours later, players make it to the Hotel. The graduates remain in the lead while The Axis is right behind them. "Wait! Shouldn't we wait for Brent & Syd?" Mabel asks.
"Nope." June walk into the lobby where the next clue box is at. She hits the button and reads the clue. "Random Roadblock: whoever is holding this ticket must participate in the Blackjack Challenge." Toner will play the dealer in the game of blackjack with each player. The goal is to get as close to 21 as possible. If you're off by a certain number, you have to wait that many minutes before you can move on to the next task.
"Alright let's do this!" June says. The Axis gets their clues as the bakers come in. Toner waits in the casino area with a deck of cards in paw.
"June. Looks like you're up first." Toner says.
"Alright. Hit me." Toner flips over a card. 4 clubs.
"Hit me." June says. 6 diamonds. 5 clubs. 4 hearts. "Ok stop."
"Alright. Graduates you have to wait 2 minutes before you came move on." Angie & Jennifer stepped up next.
"Hit me." Angie says. Queen of diamonds. Ace of hearts. "Stop there."
"Perfect 21. You may move straight on." Toner says. Jennifer goes over to the next clue box and takes a clue.
"Detour: Stairs or Scares." She reads. "What?" After teams do the blackjack challenge, they can either climb all the stairs to the roof of the building, or they can take the elevator and both members bungee jump once off the side of the building. Complete either task and then they can step on the checkpoint rug which is on the roof. Last team there is out of the race.
"Scares." Angie says. The two then run out of the casino.
"Hit me." Seven says. Jack of clubs. 3 clubs. 3 hearts. "Stop."
"Junkies now have to wait 5 minutes. Next!" Toner shouts.
"Hit me." Hans says. He's played blackjack before and does exceptional at it. Queen of clubs. King of diamonds. "I'll stop there."
"Bakers must wait one minute. Who's next?"
"I am!" Jon says running towards him. The wrestlers and humans are right behind him. "Hit me." Jon says. 2 hearts. 10 diamonds. 9 clubs.
"Perfect 21. You may move on."
"Sweet!" Devon says. The prostitutes claim their next clue.
"Stairs?" Jon asks.
"Yep." Devon says and they take off.
"Alright. My turn!" Helga says. "Hit me, red dog!" King of hearts. 5 hearts. 4 spades.
"Two minute wait." Toner says. "Hans & Claudia, June & Mabel; you may move on." The bakers and graduates then take their next clue.
"Stairs." Hans says. "I'm not ready to face heights again."
"We're doing Scares. I'm not gonna wait all day for you, let's go." Claudia pulls her partner towards the elevator.
"Stairs." June says. "Definitely the stairs." Her and Mabel run out as the humans arrive at the hotel.
"Hi, Brent!" Mabel waves to him.
"Hey!" Brent says, but Syd pushes him along and June pushes her partner up the stairs. Brent, with the clue in hand, makes it to Toner next.
"Anytime you're ready bud." Toner says.
"Hit me, man." Brent says. Queen of spades. 8 diamonds. 8 spades.
"5 minute wait for the humans."
"Oh damn it!" Brent exclaims. After a few more minutes, Helga & Gretel and Seven & Stuart's waits are up.
"Let's do the stairs." Helga says. "That'll be so easy." Her and Gretel run off.
"Absolutely bungee jumping." Seven says. "Finally, some real adrenaline!" Her tail starts wagging as the two run for the elevator.
"Still have another two minutes, humans." Toner says as Tommy & Regina show up. "Hold on, who has the clue?"
"Right here." Tommy says, taking it out of his pocket. "Now hit me with those cards." 7 clubs. Jack of diamonds. "Stop!"
"Restaurant workers, you have a four minute wait before you can start the next challenge." After a moment, Toner's timer buzzes off. "Humans, your wait is up." Brent goes over, pushes the button and gets their next clue.
"We have to do Scares." Brent says.
"Why?" Syd asks.
"Dude, we're almost in last place. If we manage to do this before any of the teams even make it to the top of the stairs, we'll be ok."
"Fine." The humans the. Run towards the elevator. Rob & Robbie, who are currently in last place, finally arrive at the hotel. Rob takes the clue and run into the casino as Tommy & Regina's time wait is up.
"Stairs." Tommy says.
"Fine. We better hurry though." Regina says. The two take off as Rob starts the blackjack game.
"Hit me." Rob says. 7 hearts. 10 clubs. 10 spades.
"Ouch! A 6 minute wait for the brothers!" Toner announces.
"Oh shit." Robbie mutters. Toner walk out of the casino just as Rob & Robbie look at each other getting nervous.

Angie & Jennifer are the first team to make it to the roof. Toner somehow already made it to the top.
"Welcome sorority sisters!" He exclaims. "The checkpoint is only 6 ft away from you. However, you've got something you need to do first!" He holds up bungee harnesses. Angie & Jennifer help get each other strapped in.
"Alright! Let's get this over with!" Angie says.
"Hold on!" Toner says. "There's something I forgot to mention. Look down below!" The three of them look over the edge of the roof towards the ground. There's an oversized pool with a bunch of red and green things bobbing out of it. "Those are apples! Both of the team have to catch one in their mouths before you may step on the checkpoint. Good luck!"
"This is crazy!" Jennifer says.
"I know. But more teams will be coming up here soon. What choice do we have?" Angie asks. "We've been 8th place the last two days! We can't have that happen again!"
"You're right!"
"On three?"
"On three!" The hold paws.
"One... Two... Three!" The girls jump off the roof and start falling. They scream on the way down. Knowing they need this to win, Angie keeps her muzzle open as they hit the pool. They're suddenly thrown back up; with Angie having an apple in her muzzle.
"Bungee apple bobbing?!" Claudia exclaims. "That's just insane!"
"I know but what choice do we have?" Hans asks as he helps Claudia get strapped into the bungee.
"Ok maybe you were right! We should've picked Stairs!"
"Too late woman!" Hans jumps off the roof as the sorority sisters come back up. Angie has an apple but Jennifer is struggling to get one. Hans comes back up with an Apple and gets back on the roof. "C'mon, Claudia! Both of us have to get an apple before we can check in!"
"There's nothing on earth that'll make me jump." Claudia crosses her arms. Seven & Stuart then appear on the roof. "Never mind, move it!!" She jumps off the roof and plunged to the earth below.
"Strap me in!" Seven says. "I've been waiting for this the whole race!"
"Alright." Stuart helps her in.
Angie take the apple out of her mouth and speaks. "Jennifer, you need to catch one or else we might be eliminated!"
"I'm trying!" Jen yells. When the girls make it back down, Jen reaches out and finally grabs an apple. The two hi5 and soon they're back on the roof. They unhook each other just as Claudia comes back up with her team's second apple.
"Run!" Angie exclaimed! The sorority sisters then run over to the other side of the roof to the checkpoint rug.
"Ladies, you're in first place." Toner says.
"Finally!" Jen says as she hugs Angie.
"We're back in the winner's circle." Angie says.
"No you're not. Ten minute penalty." Toner says.
"What for?!?"
"Jennifer was supposed to catch the apple with her mouth, not her paw." Jen holds out her paw which her apple is in. Close Up reveals no teeth marks.
"Oops." Jen says. Hans & Claudia then run up.
"Which makes the bakers today's real winners!" Toner announces.
"Yes!" Hans cheers.
"Haha!!" Claudia taunts the sorority sisters.

"C'mon Mabel! Catch up!" June says.
"Can't *gasp* legs *gasp* on *gasp* fire!" Mabel says, paws on her knees.
"We can't wait here. Other teams can show up any minute. I didn't come this far to lose now."
"I'm sorry." Mabel catches her breath. By the time she does, she can hear the prostitutes and the wrestlers on their way up. "I'm fine now, let's go!" The take off running back up the stairs.
"There's no way you guys are in an alliance with the brothers." Helga says.
"It's true." Jon says. "They gave us one of the Express Passes and they asked for an alliance."
"Which we weren't so sure about." Devon says. "After all, we all have the same goal."
"We know." Gretel says. "At this point, getting cut from the race would suck."
"Exactly." Helga says. "Which is why we need to keep moving!"
"She gets crazy when she's competitive."
"Some people do." Jon says. "Have you noticed the bakers lately? They're crazy! Normally I'm used to seeing Claudia misbehave, but after that last Fast Forward, I'm starting to think she has Hans hooked onto the same strategy."
"Yep." Gretel says. "All the more reason we need to stay in this race. Otherwise, she'll just knock us all out."
"You're absolutely right!" Devon says.
"So let me get this straight," Tommy starts to say when him and Regina are halfway up the stairs, "why did we take the stairs?"
"Umm..." Regina tries to think. "I don't know. I guess we just... Ok I'm lost. But either way, we are way too far to choose Scares at this point."
"You make a good point."

"This is so awesome!" Stuart yells as he jumps off the roof. Seven already has an apple in paw.
"I told you, right!" Seven tells down below. Stuart bites down hard on an apple and comes back up. He swallows and the apple comes out of his mouth.
"Oops." Stuart says.
"Let's just go check in." Seven says. She helps unstrap Stuart and the same thing for him and her. They walk over to Toner.
"Umm... What happen to your apple, Stuart?" Toner asks.
"Uhh... Let's just say that I'm no longer hungry." Stuart holds out the apple he accidentally bit out of.
"Ok. Whatever. You used your teeth. Second place." Toner says. "Angie & Jennifer, time's up: 3rd place."
June & Mabel- 4th place
Helga & Gretel- 5th place
Jon & Devon- 6th place
Rob & Robbie take their next clue. "Scares." Rob says. They run to the elevator.
Brent & Syd jump off the roof. Regina & Tommy are almost to the top floor. Brent catches an apple in his mouth along with Syd. When they get back on the roof, Brent helps Syd out of his harness.
"I can't believe how focus you've been lately." Syd says.
"I know, buddy." Brent says. He turns around and Syd helps him out. "I guess you were right. I need to keep my head in the game. I'll think about Mabel after the race is over."
"Glad you think that way." Brent & Syd walk over to the checkpoint.
"Humans come in 7th place." Toner announces.
"Awesome." Brent says. Mabel walks up to him.
"Hey Brent." She says. "I'm glad you're still in this."
"Me too." Brent puts a hand on her shoulder. "Look, I like you Mabel; but... we can't think straight. Our partners have been bugging us about what we feel for each other. So, I'm sorry... but we can't date until the race is over."
"I know." Mabel says. She hugs him tight and let's him go.
"I'm glad you did that bro." Syd says. "But the alliance is still on, guys."
"Sounds fine to me." June says. Tommy & Regina then come up onto the roof, out of breath. They see the other teams at the checkpoint.
"Oh crap! Are we last place?" Tommy asks. They slowly walk up to the rug and step on.
"Well, Tommy & Regina, I'm sorry." Toner says. "That I have to say you guys... came in 8th: AKA still in the race!"
"Seriously!" Regina cheers. "Sweet!" She jumps on Tommy's shoulders.
"Great!" Tommy says. "Hold on! If weren't not in last place, who is?" The brothers then come up on the elevator.
"They are." Toner points to Rob & Robbie.
"What?" Rob asks.
"We're out, dude." Robbie puts a paw on Rob's shoulder.
"You've got that right!" Toner says. "Brothers, you are in 9th place. You two are out of the race. Goodbye!" Rob & Robbie turn back around and head down stairs.
"Damn it!" Rob says. "This is terrible!"
"I know." Robbie says. "But we tried. Maybe we weren't meant to win the race."
"Maybe."
"Wanna go back home and play video games with nachos?"
"You know I do."
