A short introduction to a series I am writing.

**Author's Note**

Sooo, here's my first story in like 6 months. xD Sorry about the extended break. ^^ Just been going through a lot of things. Break up, irl problems, depression, blah blah blah. I thought I'd take the opportunity to simply vent in the story rather than make a detailed journal on it. Bear with me guys. <3 I'll be back soon. I know this is short, it's supposed to be. Just a small teaser for what's to come.

Note: It is depressing, so if that kind of stuff triggers you, then read at your own risk. This -is- a reflection of my thoughts and emotions, in the form of a story afterall.

Happy reading! ~Snowy

Introduction: Abandoned

By Snowiri

The crystalline droplets of water flooded the desolate landscape around the broken canine. Deception and hatred plagued his mind, leaving him curled up to wither and question. "Why...?" he mumbled to himself. Tears streaming down the wolf's face, masqueraded by the heavy downfall of the sobbing sky. "What went wrong...? H-how could you betray me like this...? I gave you everything.... You ungrateful fool." He growled, an essence of rage filled his tear-soaked irises.

Thunder roared and lightning flashed, the sky a dusky gray. Every flash of lightning pierced the darkened land with streaks of light. The storm raged on; leaving uprooted trees and sorrowful inhabitants. Nature was following it's grand scheme: life and death. It gave and took, flourished and decayed, begun and ended.

He begged to the sky above for an answer, crying his heart out at his sudden loss. He was at a fork in the road; unsure if he should blame himself, or the horrible being that did this to him.

"I hate you..." he growled.

"I really, really hate you! How could you do this to me?!"

Anger flared inside of him like a burning star. His paws clenched furiously to the saturated grass below him. He snarled at the invisible force driving him mad. Years and years of happiness, a seemingly-perfect life; faded and thrown away. A dark aura of negatively leaked from his broken soul, a shadow casted over his face as he looked down to the soil.

The defeated wolf closed his eyes, silently picturing the past and warming memories of his life. Laughter and light filled his void, scenes of his childhood flurried by, faded creatures danced around him. Meanwhile, the sound of thunder amplified; the storm picking up again.

"I..." crash; another crackle of thunder.

"Hate..." lightning tore through the darkened sky.

"...You..." The lightning found it's victim.

The world faded to black; a soul withered to nothing. Memories of the good times faded as the wolf gave his dying breath. Grass around him blackened, as well as his snow-white fur. The thoughts faded, the warmth gone; the thirst for revenge subsided.

The storm raged on; carrying souls of it's prisoners in the howling winds. The sky cried, leaving the land flooded with sadness. Lightning danced across the sky, providing illusions for the faithless individuals that curled up in fear within the forest.

Sound started to fade for the wolf as well as his vision. His breathing slowed as his prayers were answered and nature reaped his soul. The land fell silent, as well as the story of a misguided and abandoned creature.
