Welcome to the ransei region, home to Pokémon and warriors, those who have the ability to communicate with Pokemon on a deeper level than the average human. All warlords, rulers of countries, seek to unite the 17 contries of Ransei. The rumor is, the one who unites the region under a single ruler will meat the pokemon who created Ransei. This is his story, a story of power, a story of rising up from nothing and gaining everything.

Most of all, this is a story of Pokemon.

10 Years ago

Aichi was wandering the forests of Aurora, his homeland, when he saw it. A fox, just dissapearing in the bushes. The 7 year old, curious, followed, running through the woods after it, giggling wildly. He saw it in a small clearing: Eevee, one of the rarest pokemon in Ransei. She was sitting down in the clearing, waiting for him to catch up. When Aichi walked over, she stood. "Eevee, eevee!" She was exited about something. Aichi crouched in from of her."Hey, Sweetie. Whats wrong?" In that moment, Aichi Linked with the eevee. "Im fine, thank you." The voice came out of nowhere. It was in his head! "How did you do that?" He asked aloud. The eevee started licking her paw. "We are Linked, silly! I can talk in your mind, and you can understand me when I speak! You can talk in my mind, too." The eevee stopped grooming herself and jumped to attention."So, are we going home now? Or what?"

Present Day

With Eevee on his shoulder, Aichi grabed his helmet, the one signifying that he was now the Warlord of Aurora. "Come on, eevee, let's go see what's happening in the kingdom!" His role as warlord was purely ceremonial. The Auroran army was literally just him, and Aurora didn't have too many Warriors to link with pokemon, anyway. With the land of Innis to the north, Fontain to the east and south, and Greenleaf to the west, Aurora was well protected, as those kingdoms were strong but ambitionless, not caring to take over Aurora. Until now, that is.

Aichi was the new Warlord of Aurora. He was in power for less than a day, after his father's Lucario died, and his father had to resign. Aichi and his eevee saw a group of youths. Three boys, although one looked like a girl. One had a skorpi, another had larvaitar, and the third had a Scizor. "Well, well, well, is this the new Warlord of Aroura?" The first said

"My lord, there is an attack!" The inter-kingdom messenger was standing on the pathway in front of the shop. By tradition, any attack on a kingdom must be defended, and must be held on a certain battlefield. "We have no one to defend! I don't know how to fight!." But the messanger was already gone, his beedrill following him and holding the kindom's mail."Oh well. You up for learning how to battle, eevee?" He sighed. Aichi fully expected to lose the encounter, and the kingdom to whoever decided Aurora would be a great target to pick on. Koruku and Nagayasu, two of Hideyoshi's warriors, were already waiting. "Come on, kid! The boss wants your kingdom, and he wants it now!" Nagayasu said. "That means get your ass up here and start losing!" Aichi recoiled at the foul word. "Tsk, tsk. Such strong language coming from a weak man!" Aichi said, trying (and failing) to look and sound confidant. The warrior sneered. "Hydeyoshi will control this kingdom, soon. He is trying to unify Ransei, you know. Then you will have to bow to him and us!" The challenger's pokemon were a bidoof and a tepig. Eevee could take them, Aichi decided. "Now, you should know: I will defended this kingdom at any cost!"

Aichi sent his eevee on to Aurora's battlefield, a repurposed farm. He emerged from a side-entrance as the invaders, with their tepig and bidoof respectively, appeared in the back. As he was about to command eevee to move toward the first opponent, tepig, a stranger appeared. "Wait, don't battle without me," the girl said. She had a Jigglypuff that she brought through the front entrance. "Lord Aichi, do you even know how to battle? I can teach you!" Aichi considered this. On one hand, it wasn't her fight. He, th warlord to the country, had never even seen her before, much less enlisted her. On the other hand, however, he needed all of the help he could get. "Alright, miss," Aichi said. "Lets see what this Jigglypuff of yours can do." As the girl advised Aichi on what do to defend Aurora-"Move here, My Lord! Attack there! Send Jiggylypuff there!"''- Aichi started liking her. As she gave him instructions, he smiled at her. "You could join my army permanently, you know!" She just smiled back and said, "We'll see."

After the girl's Jigglypuff took out the second opponent, the tepig, the girl reveled her name. "Oichi. My name is Oichi.''Her name sparked a flicker of recognition in Aichi's mind. He had heard the name before. A warlord, or the sister of a famous warrior, or maybe an obscure but powerful Warrior herself? At the moment, Aichi just forced a smile. "Nice to meet you. The name's Aichi. But you already knew that." Eevee walked up and said. "I like her. And her JIgglypuff." The eevee blushed at the latter. Aichi sputtered. "But... Isn't that Jigglypuff a girl, too?" Eevee blushed even more fiercely after that.
