I'm back again. Skipping all the annoying legal stuff that I never write very well anyways, lets get on with the chapter.

**

Gideon woke up at Raymond's bedside and groaned when he noticed Raymond was still comatose. He picked up Raymond's hand and held it between his, rubbing his chin over the back of it, loving the feel of Raymond's fur.

Two weeks of sorrow and sitting by Raymond had caused Gideon's normally shiny, jet black hair to dull down, his eyes were still lifeless as if he was dead inside. Gideon knew he wasn't dead inside but he felt like it, his soul belonged with Raymond's and if Raymond wasn't well his soul couldn't be.

Raymond's hand stirred slightly, the brainwave monitor spiked with activity and Gideon stood up quickly bending over the railing on the side of the bed and put one hand on Raymond's chest and the other holding Raymond's hand still.

He started whispering under his breath, "Come on honey, don't leave. Don't leave me here. Wake up. Please. I love you so much, please wake up."

Gideon hugged Raymond's limp form to his body tightly.

**

Raymond was floating in the darkness and he felt a warm paw on his, he couldn't move his neck to look at the paw. He struggled and struggled to move his paw and suddenly he felt it move. Right then he felt another warmth join the first, a paw pressing to his chest.

He heard words as if they were shouted in his ear, "Come on honey, don't leave. Don't leave me here. Wake up. Please. I love you so much, please wake up."

Raymond felt his entire body wrapped in warmth and he saw a opening in the dark and he moved towards it. He entered it and his eyes opened for the first time in two weeks. "Hi there." he said weakly as he saw Gideon with his on his chest.

Gideon's head shot up and a huge grin broke his face, quickly replaced by an apologetic look. "I'm so sorry Raymond. Please, please forgive me."

Raymond chuckled softly, his strength to weak to let out a full laugh. "Did you stay by my side the whole time?"

Gideon smiled and nodded, "And I nearly killed myself getting you here. Which reminds me..." Gideon ended the last part by slapping Raymond. "That's for trying to kill yourself."

Raymond rubbed the side of his face and muttered, "Guess I deserved that." Raymond looked back down at Gideon and sat up, hugging Gideon back. "I can't believe I did something so stupid."

"I can't either, I can't believe I let that stupid bear do that." Gideon replied, "I swear to the heaven's lord almighty that I love you, I love you more than anything in the world, more than the water I drink or the air I breathe."

Raymond smiled and kissed Gideon softly, "I love you would have been enough."

Raymond lifted his left arm to stroke the side of Gideon's face and grunted in pain when the bandages rubbed against his cuts. "So umm," Gideon started, "if you don't mind me asking, how many times did you cut yourself and what the FUCK you were thinking when you did." Gideon said, getting angrier towards the end.

Raymond's ears drooped as he tried to remember. "I only remember four times." Raymond muttered, hoping Gideon didn't hear, "And I wasn't thinking anything besides the fact that I thought you didn't love me anymore."

Raymond had almost broken into tears by the end. Gideon grabbed his muzzle and turned his head so he could stare into Raymond's eyes. "Raymond, no matter what happens in the future, I want you to know," Gideon was staring into Raymond's eyes intently, "I will never, ever, stop loving you."

Raymond and Gideon kissed after Gideon finished that, they explored each other's maws, each sucking eagerly on the others tongue. They pulled apart after what seemed like hours and they were both panting.

They stared into each other's eyes and Raymond gladly noticed that Gideon's eyes had that glowing fire back into his eyes. Gideon started to say something and then stopped. "What?" Raymond asked quietly.

"Your eyes are the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." Gideon said before leaning in for another kiss. Raymond met his muzzle halfway and kissed him deeply just as the doctor opened the door.

The doctor laughed softly and said, "I see you're up and active."

Raymond and Gideon pulled apart blushing. A nurse came in with the regular tray of food that was brought up for Gideon and saw that Raymond was up, she smiled at the two before placing the tray down and said, "I'll bring another up."

Gideon smiled at her and said, "Thank you." He pushed the tray to Raymond and said, "You are going to eat." Raymond started to protest before Gideon held up his hand and said, "You have put me through enough emotional stress. You are going to eat."

The doctor chuckled softly and muttered, "Kids." under his breath apparently thinking Gideon couldn't hear him.

"Just because I'm fourteen doesn't mean I'm a kid." Gideon hissed, "In fact, Raymond has put me through enough emotional stress to make me feel like an old man."

Gideon glared softly at Raymond and Raymond chuckled before running a hand through Gideon's hair and plucked a hair off his head. "Look, it's gray." Raymond laughed.

"Holy crap, it is gray." Gideon said. "I blame you."

The doctor chuckled and said, "You two are awfully interactive for friends."

Gideon and Raymond broke out laughing. "We're boyfriends, not just friends."

The doctor nodded and whispered, "That would explain it."

Gideon and Raymond just went back to what they were doing, Gideon ended up shoving food into Raymond's mouth and saying, "You're going to eat."

Raymond just grimaced and chewed the food. He realized just how hungry he was and dug into the food ravenously. The food was quickly gone and Raymond's stomach rumbled. "Still hungry eh?" Gideon asked.

Just as he said it the nurse entered again she placed the tray down and smiled, taking the other tray. She slipped Gideon a note and left. Gideon opened the note and read the words, "You two are a really cute couple."

Gideon read the note to Raymond and he blushed. "Why does every girl in the world say that about us?" Raymond asked.

"Because we were meant to be." Gideon replied, smiling.

Gideon looked at the small clock sitting on the wall for the first time and said, "It's almost noon."

The doctor came in again and said, "We're going to have to switch you to a different room."

Raymond nodded as he finished off the rest of the second tray. They stood up, Raymond taking the empty tray with him which a nurse took from him after they left the room. Raymond's legs were wobbly and Gideon to help him walk, an arm around Raymond's waist.

Raymond smiled at him and said, "Usually I have my arm around your waist."

Gideon smiled back at him and said, "This is a special occasion."

The doctor turned into a room and Raymond and Gideon followed him in. Gideon was glad to see that this room had windows, sunlight was flooding into the room. Raymond and Gideon blinked slightly and Raymond noticed Gideon blink, "You really didn't leave my side the entire time?"

Gideon grinned and nodded. Raymond hugged him tightly and said, "My big strong dragon really does love me."

Gideon looked shocked for a moment. "Of course I love you, what would ever make you think I didn't. Besides what happened with that bear."

Raymond shrugged uncomfortably. "There were a few times that I don't remember."

Gideon lowered his head a little as they sat down next to each other on the bed and the doctor left. "Listen honey, I never, ever want to hear you say I don't love you."

Raymond nodded and said, "It will never happen again."

Gideon laid down on the bed, Raymond laying on top of him and putting his head on Gideon's neck. "I love you." Gideon whispered again.

Raymond laughed quietly and said, "I understood that the first hundred times you said it, but I love you too."

Gideon said, "I love you more."

Raymond stuck out his tongue and said, "Nu uh."

Gideon grinned and Raymond licked Gideon's muzzle. He grimaced slightly and said, "God you need a shower."

Gideon grinned and kissed Raymond but as he did so he heard the door open and heard a delighted squeal behind him. He sat up, annoyed beyond belief, and saw Wyatt and Troy standing in front of Carol. "We chose a good day to come by." Carol said, smiling at Gideon and Raymond.

Wyatt ran up and hugged Gideon before hugging Raymond. Troy stood back against the wall until Wyatt rejoined him, then he sat down with Wyatt on his lap, still smiling. Carol walked over to Raymond and hit her knuckles against the top of Raymond's head, making Raymond wince and say, "Ow." each time.

Carol held his muzzle up and said, "NEVER do that again."

Raymond's ears drooped slightly and Gideon intervened, "I've already gave him a lecture on this mom, you don't need to as well."

Raymond grinned slightly and said, "And I promised I never would again. I don't want to see all of Gideon's hair turn gray before he's twenty."

Gideon sighed. Carol looked puzzled before saying, "All of his hair?"

Raymond nodded and said, "I pulled a hair off his head and it was gray."

Wyatt started laughing and said, "Gideon is turning old already."

Wyatt had his head tilted upwards and couldn't see Gideon as he came in and picked him up, hanging him upside down by the ankles. Raymond and Troy were laughing while Wyatt was gasping for breath. Gideon put him back down and said, "Don't call me old again, squirt."

Wyatt grinned before settling back into his seat, snuggling against Troy's fur. Gideon sat back down next to Raymond's bed, leaning his head onto Raymond's furry chest. The doctor came in and Carol asked, "When can Raymond be let out?"

The doctor thought for a moment before saying, "He can go now if he feels ok."

Raymond grinned and said, "I feel great."

The doctor smiled at him before saying, "I'll have your clothes brought here then."

The doctor left to talk to a nurse who walked to where his clothes were, bringing them back quickly. Carol, Troy, and Wyatt left. Carol had tried to make Gideon leave but he kept saying, "Mom, it's nothing I haven't seen before, besides, I don't trust him enough to stay standing."

Carol resigned in the end and left to give Raymond some sort of privacy. Gideon ended up having to help Raymond with ever article of clothing, mostly because Raymond liked his dragon being so close.

When Raymond was finally done getting dressed, Raymond put his arm around Gideon's shoulder to help support him and Gideon put his arm around Raymond's waist. Raymond grinned at him again and they walked out of the room. "Come on, let's get home." Carol said as they walked out.

They followed Carol outside, walking awkwardly because Raymond was still getting used to walking again after two weeks of being in a coma. They got the car and Gideon sat down, pulling Raymond in next to him.

Wyatt sat in the front seat while Troy sat in the back. Raymond leaned his head onto Gideon's shoulder, closing his eyes for a minute before opening them. Raymond's stomach grumbled again and Gideon laughed, "Still hungry?"

Raymond nodded, blushing. "Unfortunately." Raymond said.

Gideon smiled and said, "I'll make something when we get home."

Raymond nodded and hugged Gideon as they pulled into the driveway. "Is it just me, or does the ride home get shorter everytime one of us gets sent to the hospital?"

Gideon laughed softly, "It's just you."

They got out of the car, Raymond could walk without support now so he and Gideon raced to the door, Gideon winning by a bit. "I win." Gideon said triumphantly as he opened the door and walked inside.

Raymond stuck out his tongue and said, "What's for lunch?"

"Well," Gideon said, "I thought that maybe instead of making something, I could take you to the mall and get something."

Raymond grinned happily and said, "Alright, but we're taking a shower first."

Gideon nodded and smelled himself, "Damn, I need one."

Raymond pulled Gideon downstairs with an unusual strength, "When did you get so strong?"

Raymond grinned, "I carried the majority of my books near to twenty miles to Xatrin's house, I guess it helped a bit."

Gideon's smile faltered and he said, "You could have asked Clarice for a ride."

Raymond said, "The thought didn't occur to me."

"You're just making me feel worse." Gideon said, frowning now.

Raymond grinned and turned around and kissed Gideon and said, "Don't feel bad. It's all right now."

Gideon and Raymond walked into the bathroom they had to themselves and quickly got undressed and put there clothes in the dirty laundry hamper.

They hopped into the shower and turned on the warm water and laughed when Raymond almost slipped. Gideon took the fur shampoo sitting in the back of the shower and put some on his paw. He started to slowly rub his hand through Raymond's fur.

He turned Raymond around so he could wash Raymond's chest and started rubbing it. He felt muscles that weren't there before and said, "Jesus Raymond, you've got bigger muscles than the last time I washed you."

Raymond smiled slightly and punched Gideon on the shoulder, lightly so he wouldn't hurt himself. Gideon finished spreading the fur shampoo on Raymond and rinsed it off before letting Raymond start rubbing his scales clean, digging under them and getting dirt out before bending them back into place.

Raymond finished up with Gideon and they started to get out, Gideon turned off the water and 'accidentally' brush Raymond's sheath. Raymond moaned and glared at Gideon. "That wasn't nice."

Gideon grinned mischievously and slipped into his room, digging through his drawers for an outfit. He grabbed a black t-shirt and a black sports coat. He also grabbed a loose fitting pair of black cargo pants.

Raymond looked at his choice of outfit and said, "Wearing all black today?"

Gideon grinned and said, "Wait til you see how I look in these clothes."

Raymond just shook his head and went to his own dresser, choosing clothes as black as Gideon's were. Throwing on the plain black T-shirt and cargo pants he turned around and stared at Gideon.

Gideon grinned and said, "Like what you see?"

Raymond nodded stupidly staring at Gideon and taking in his clothing. The black T-shirt was all but hidden under the sports coat. The sports coat had the thin form of the ancient silver dragons winding up the sleeves, each having glowing green orbs held in hands that were placed on his shoulder's. They were breathing fire and the fire spiked down towards his waistline where the coat hung down past his waist.

The fire met in the middle of the coat, right under the last button. Gideon walked over to Raymond and hugged him tightly and said, "Will you help me put this on?" He held up a necklace of a silver wolf with emerald's in the eyes sockets.

"Jesus, your family is rich." Raymond said as he took the necklace and placed it around Gideon's neck.

Gideon looked at Raymond and said, "Turn around."

Raymond did as he was told and felt Gideon behind him. He heard the rustle of some sort of metal behind him and felt Gideon put his arms over Raymond's shoulder's before pulling them back and fastening a necklace around his neck.

Raymond turned around and looked down at the necklace and smiled. It was a golden dragon with ruby eyes. Raymond looked back up at Gideon and smiled, his eyes watering slightly. "It's beautiful."

Gideon smiled and said, "Not as beautiful as you are."

Raymond kissed him and said, "Come on, I'm starving."

Gideon said, "Hold on a second." He dug through his drawers and pulled out a comb and his wallet. He used the comb on Raymond, making sure his hair was straight. "Don't want you looking bad." Gideon said.

"Oh I see, you like me for my looks." Raymond said.

Gideon looked like he had been punched, "Of course not."

Gideon walked outside dragging Raymond with him. He grinned as he picked Raymond up and said, "Hold on." Raymond hugged Gideon's neck tightly as Gideon launched himself into the air, taking off in the direction of the mall. He got there quickly flying at top speeds.

To Raymond the flight was exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. The wind rushed through his fur and made it fly everywhere and it was even worse as they landed. Gideon put Raymond down on the ground and grinned at him. "How was your first flight while conscious?"

"Terrifying." Raymond said.

Gideon grinned and pulled the comb out of his back pocket and fixed Raymond's hair before fixing his own and putting the comb back in his pocket. "Come on, I think Kevin and Xatrin are here."

They walked into the mall, Gideon with his arm around Raymond's shoulder as usual. Gideon attracted stares today, not the two of them walking together but Gideon by himself. The sports coat was very intricate in detail, very beautiful. He was getting stares from girls and guys, mostly disgust or jealousy from the guys.

Gideon saw the bear from the party and tried to turn away but the bear saw him and walked up grinning, "Hey cutie."

Gideon growled and said, "I'm with my boyfriend, get away."

The bear just continued grinning and grabbed Gideon's shoulder. Raymond growled and said, "Get your hands off my boyfriend."

The bear stepped back and looked Raymond up and down before saying, "What are you going to do about it?"

Raymond stepped up to the bear and pushed him hard. The bear got sent back a few steps before regaining his balance and sending a punch at Raymond. Raymond stepped out of the way and punched the bear in the jaw.

The shock of the blow sent a jarring pain up Raymond's arms and sent the bear to the floor. Raymond jumped at the opportunity and jumped on the bear, punching him in the face over and over again. Gideon pulled Raymond off the bear when his nose started gushing rivers of blood, his eyes were going to be blackened. Raymond stood up and stood next to the bear before bending over and putting his face above the bears, "Stay away from my boyfriend."

Raymond spat on the bear and turned away, walking away with Gideon's arm around his shoulder. Gideon stopped a short way away and said, "Holy shit you beat the shit out of him."

Raymond grinned as Gideon leaned down to kiss him. "I don't think he's going to hit on you again."

Gideon smiled and said, "I don't think so either."

Raymond and Gideon walked to the food court and Gideon asked, "What do you want to eat?"

Raymond thought for a moment before saying, "I haven't had chinese in a while."

Gideon grinned and said, "Chinese it is."

They walked to the Chinese restaurant and ordered food. As they were looking for a table, they saw Kevin, Xatrin, Dean, and Paulie sitting at a table. They walked over and Gideon grinned and said, "May we join you?"

Kevin, Xatrin, and Paulie stared at Gideon, Kevin and Xatrin noted the difference between him now and the last time they saw him. "Of course." Dean said.

Gideon and Raymond sat down next to each other and started eating, Kevin, Xatrin, and Paulie still staring at him. Gideon looked up and grinned, "You guys don't have to stare at me like I'm a mirage of an oasis in the desert."

They shook their heads and Dean kissed Paulie, "Hope you don't think I'm not cute enough." He said.

Paulie just smiled and said, "Of course you are."

Gideon smiled at the two other couples and said, "Well, apparently your guys relationships are going good."

Kevin and Dean grinned an identical smile, one that only a wolf could pull off. "Ya, and apparently yours is fixed." Kevin said.

Gideon smiled at him and said, "Ya, and Raymond beat the shit out of the bear who was hitting on me."

Kevin and Xatrin said, "Awesome."

Paulie glared at them with that maternal stare that mother's gave their kids when they were in trouble for fighting. Gideon leaned over and kissed Raymond gently before saying, "What do you want to do this afternoon?"

"Let's go to the arcade." Raymond said.

Gideon nodded and finished off the last bite of his food. He carried both his and Raymond's plates to the trash before guiding Raymond to the arcade. A second later Dean and Paulie caught up to them. Paulie pulled Gideon off to the side after asking if she could talk to him.

"Ok Gideon, you can normally keep secrets well, and normally your not a jerk." Paulie said, her tone very serious, her voice sounding like she was going to start crying.

They sat on a bench, Raymond and Dean standing just out of earshot. Gideon looked around and glared at any who tried to eavesdrop. "What is it?"

"I don't know what to do but hopefully you might," Paulie said, "I'm uh, I'm pregnant."

Gideon stared at the lioness in shock, "Please, please tell me you're kidding."

Paulie shook her head and stared to cry, "I don't know what I'm going to do."

Gideon looked at the lioness that was two years older than him, "First off, tell Dean. Then, tell your parents."

Paulie nodded and said, "Will you help me tell Dean at least?"

Gideon nodded and stood up, "How many months pregnant are you anyways."

Paulie said, "Only about a month and a half."

Gideon held out his hand and she took it. She stood up and walked over to Dean, followed closely by Gideon. Raymond walked over to Gideon and hugged him, "What did she want?"

"You'll find out." Gideon said.

"Hey Dean, I have something to tell you." Paulie said.

"What is it?" Dean asked, slightly worried.

"I'm uhh," Paulie started, she looked at Gideon and he nodded encouragement, squeezing her shoulder. She took a deep breath, "I'm pregnant."

Dean looked shocked, his face was a mixed picture of joy, confusion, and fear. He hugged Paulie, carefully and gently like he was holding a delicate glass figure. "That's wonderful." Dean said, "That is so wonderful."

Gideon smiled at the two as they walked away chattering happily. Gideon looked at Raymond who was shocked that Paulie was pregnant. "Do you just want to go home?" Gideon asked him.

Raymond nodded. They walked out of the mall, Gideon still attracting stares. "I think I'm going to wear this more often." Gideon said.

Raymond grinned and said, "I don't. I don't want anyone staring at my big, strong, gorgeous dragon."

Gideon picked Raymond up and flew towards home. Gideon landed a few minutes later and pulled Gideon into the house. "Raymond!" Carol yelled from the kitchen, "You have a letter from the hospital."

Raymond looked confused and he and Gideon walked into the kitchen and Gideon picked up the letter and opened it, reading it quickly his eyes widened in surprise and fear.

"What is it?" Gideon asked.

"Nothing deadly or contagious." Raymond said, "Well to explain further, apparently men are born with..."

Chapter 18, talk about cliffhangers. Well, I brought Paulie and Dean back into the story with a bang, I can guarantee more news from them in later chapters. I know I said that I was pulling the story to a close, but this wonderful cliff hanger has changed my mind. Instead of just two chapters guaranteed, I'm guaranteeing you at least ten more. :)

Anyways, positive and negative feedback please.
