Dragon Storm

CHAPTER 7: Ying-Yang Yun!

"You're the intruder!!?" Rio shouted at the black and white dragon.

"I have a name you know!" The black and white dragon shouted.

Just then Amy barked and all eight of the griffin soldiers opened fire. Rio was able to catch the bullets in his hands. Rio then dropped the bullets and they all slowly hit the ground with a cling noise that echoed in the large room. Meanwhile the black and white dragon blocked every bullet with his sword. The griffin soldiers all looked at each other in shock, as they could not believe what just happened.

"Is that all you guys have?" The black and white dragon asked.

"I DON'T THINK IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO TAUNT THEM!!" Rio screamed.

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO YELL AT ME, I'M STANDING RIGHT HERE!" The black and white dragon screamed back.

"I WOULDN'T HAVE TO YELL IF YOU WEREN'T TO BUSY BEING STUPID!" Rio screamed back.

"STUPID!? THAT'S A NEW ONE, YET YOU'RE THE ONE RUNNING AROUND AIMLESSLY IN THIS STRONGHOLD!!" The black and white dragon yelled even more.

" I'M RUNNING AROUND AIMLESSLY HUH?! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE MR.YING-YANG!?" Rio screamed even more back.

"YING-YANG?! WHAT THE HELL KIND OF NAME IS THAT? MY NAME IS YUN, NOT YING-YANG YOU ROTTEN TOMATTO!!" Yun yelled.

"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?! I AM NOT A ROTTEN TOMATTO!! I DON'T EVEN LIKE TOMATTO'S LET ALONE ROTTEN TOMATTOS MR. YING-YANG!!" Rio yelled.

"WILL YOU STOP CALLING ME THAT!! I HAVE TOLD YOU MY AWESOME NAME YOU HATCHLING!!" Yun screamed back.

"I AM NOT A HATCHLING YOU BLACK AND WHITE ZEBRA!!!!!!!" Rio said while extending his sharp black claws.

"ZEBRA!!!!!! NOW YOU WANT TO BRING RACEISM INTO THIS!? PREPARE TO LOSE, YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!" Yun yelled as he got into his fighting stance.

"Are you as confused as I am?" The seventh griffin asked the fourth.

"...........I say we shoot them both and hope for the best." The fourth griffin whispered back.

With that said the griffin took aim and opened fire yet again. The sound of bullets blasted over Rio and Yuns verbal conflict. It was so loud it got Rio and Yuns attention. Just then Amy barked and howled as the bullets headed right toward them all. Rio dodged the incoming bullets as Yun performed some fancy sword attack to deflect them away. Just then more griffin soldiers entered the room from two more entryways. At least fourteen entered from the south where Rio and Amy just came from and eighteen more from the north where Rio and Amy were headed.

"Freeze! Don't move intruders!!" The 11th griffin said.

"Oh hey Ben!! You still want to go to the movie with me Friday night?" Griffin forty asked.

"I sure do Shela!" The second griffin yelled back.

"You do realize you are doomed right?" Yun said calmly.

"No I'm not! I'm a badass fighter! I can take them all!!" Rio said.

"No one is allowed to be more of a bad ass then me! I purpose a test to see who can kill the most!" Yun said.

"Your on!" Rio said.

With that said Rio and Yun began to dodge and deflect bullets and killed one griffin soldier after another. The race was on to see who could kill the most. Rio thought that Yun seemed like he was a pretty cool dragon, but how good were his skills in combat? Rio wanted to see up close how good this so-called "intruder" was. If he really did kill over one hundred griffin soldiers already, then this should be a cakewalk for him. The sound of bullets and war cries could be heard from rooms away.

(Meanwhile in the lower parts of the griffin stronghold)

Lazz hid from Thunder Pegasus behind a rather large crate. He began to plan for his next move while reloading his R.P.G launcher. He then viewed his surroundings and checked his gear. Just then Thunder Pegasus shot a lightning blast at the large crate where Lazz was hiding. Lazz quickly jump away from the large crate as the lightning blast smashed the crate and blew it sky high leaving noting, but a charred spot on the ground where the large crate was. Suddenly, a second lightning blast was shot at Lazz from above.

"A second one?" Lazz said to himself as he dived to the ground to evade it.

"Now that I'm in my true form, I can hurl twice as many lightning blasts then before." Thunder Pegasus said.

‘Of coarse! Now that he has shown his true form he has taken the form of a Pegasus imbued with lightning powers. There is no telling if his illusions can alter the range or shape and size of his attacks, all I know is that he can make them seem more powerful. With this in mind I should try not to be seen by not only his first field of vision, but his second field of vision as well, since he now has two heads and four eyes. I didn't think he could turn the tide of battle so quickly in just one effortless move. I can't even shoot him down because his wings are made out of lightning. I guess that leaves just one more thing to do now...'Lazz thought.

Lazz ran for his life like he had never before. He was tempted to try one more thing, but it was so risky that he was unsure if it would be worth it. Lazz took cover behind a giant stalagmite the was growing out of the ground. Lazz could not help but feel trapped. He had never resorted to running this long before. He was starting to feel tiered and simply worn out. Lazz then bit his thumb just hard enough to make it bleed. It was important for him to constantly feel pain as to not be fooled by an illusion created by Thunder Pegasus. A dark crimson red colored blood slowly ran down his thumb and dripped on the floor.

"This is getting boring Lazz, why don't you come out and play!! Who knows you may be shocked at how much fun we can have!" Thunder Pegasus yelled.

Just then Thunder Pegasus's black head opened its mouth and released a lightning blast. It zipped straight down and was headed toward Lazz at a godly fast speed. Lazz quickly jumped out of the way and avoided the lightning blast. The lightning blast blew up the stalagmite into little pebbles.

"Oh man. That was close. I'll become a coco pebble if I'm not careful." Lazz said sarcastically.

‘Ok that was the first one, now all I have to do is wait for the.....' Lazz thought, but then was interrupted.

Suddenly Thunder Pegasus's red head opened its mouth and released a lightning blast about the same size as the one before it. It zipped down right at Lazz and at the last second Lazz evaded it by jumping to the side. As Lazz landed he quickly inhaled a breath of air and exhaled a mint-green fireball about the size of a disco ball. The green fireball was headed right at Thunder Pegasus.

"Did you think that would work?" Thunder Pegasus asked.

Thunder Pegasus swooped down and flew further back from Lazz. Just then Thunder Pegasus noticed an explosive warhead headed right at him. There was no time to dodge it. Thunder Pegasus quickly covered himself with his lightning wings and took the hit. There was a massive explosion, and then smoke filled the air. Thunder Pegasus could be seen falling as if everything was slowed down. Lazz quickly put away his R.P.G. launcher away and ran for where Thunder Pegasus was going to land.

"How.... could I....... Have..... not ........seen that...... coming......" Thunder Pegasus said weakened from the explosion.

"I'm sorry, but this is for a better republic!" Lazz yelled.

Lazz jumped up to meet Thunder Pegasus and mounted him. He then quickly pulled out his KM2000 combat knife and sliced his front right leg. In doing so Thunder Pegasus reacted by shocking Lazz with more than 23,000 volts of electricity. Soon after both Lazz and Thunder Pegasus were falling to their doom. Lazz was fried and now had second degree-burns all over his body. While Thunder Pegasus was bleeding a light purple from his front right leg heavily. Lazz quickly shot another two large fireballs at Thunder Pegasus and landed two direct hits. Lazz landed on the floor safely by catching himself with his legs and then rolling to break the fall. Thunder Pegasus fell burned and charred all over. He then landed head first into the ground.

"Had enough?." Lazz asked.

Thunder Pegasus struggled to get up, but once he did he doubled over and looked at Lazz. Lazz had already begun to reload his weapons again. Thunder Pegasus was impressed with Lazz's combat skills. He had never had a difficult time fighting before. Lazz had most likely gotten a whole lot more training in when he left BLACK FANG. Thunder Pegasus started to remember back when Lazz was a new recruit to the team.

(Flashback: Lazz's past with BLACK FANG)

Lazz walks in the room and takes a seat. Thunder Pegasus noticed Lazz and knew he was new to the team as the seventh member of BLACKFANG.

"What's up Lazz you look rather bored." Thunder Pegasus said.

"Leave me" Lazz said calmly.

"What's your problem?" Thunder Pegasus asked.

"I wish to draw something in my downtime of waiting for our next orders from Rock Lizard, you're my problem." Lazz explained.

Thunder Pegasus watched as Lazz started to draw his picture. He wondered if Rock Lizard made the right choice in picking Lazz to be with their group. It seems all he did was draw his little pictures and follow his orders. Lazz was not really suited for these types of missions. Couldn't Rock Lizard just pick someone that could be more active with his comrades and at least draw better.

"Leave me, I won't say it a third time." Lazz said.

Thunder Pegasus became enraged and shocked Lazz with 12,000 volts of electricity. Lazz fell to the ground in pain. He struggle to get up, but it was no use he was to weak. He fell back down in too much pain. Thunder Pegasus began to laugh, as he knew he was stronger then Lazz.

"I will always be stronger then you! That's just how it works you idiot! Mahwah!!" Thunder Pegasus yelled.

"..............Hmph." Lazz mumbled.

(Flash forward: In griffin stronghold)

"When .....did you....become....so strong?" Thunder Pegasus asked.

"I really wouldn't say I am stronger." Lazz said.

"Whatever!" Thunder Pegasus said.

Thunder Pegasus was enraged. It made him so mad when Lazz never answered his questions and turned them around on him. Thunder Pegasus just shrugged it off and began to think about the weapons Lazz was using. There had to be a reason why Lazz kept landing direct hits. Thunder Pegasus kept his eyes on Lazz as he pondered.

‘Let's see here. His R.P.G... it is a R.P.G.7! The launcher is reloadable and based around a simple steel tube, 40 millimeters in diameter, 95.3 centimeters long, and weighing 7 kilograms. The middle of the tube is wood wrapped to protect the user from heat and the end is flared to assist in blast shielding and recoil reduction. Sighting is usually optical with a back-up iron sight, and passive infra-red and night sights are also available. Also let's not forget his grenade launcher. The Milkor MGL (Multiple Grenade Launcher) is a low-velocity, shoulder-fired spring-driven 40 mm grenade launcher with a six-round revolver-style magazine capable of accepting most 40X46mm grenades. The cylinder is spring-loaded and rotates automatically while firing, but it must be wound back up after every reload. The MGL grenade launcher consists of a lightweight, progressively rifled steel. barrel, sight assembly, frame with firing mechanism, spring-actuated revolving cylinder magazine and a folding stock. The weapon has a fire selector safety switch just above the rear pistol grip which can be operated from either side. The launcher cannot be accidentally discharged if dropped. The MGL is equipped with the Armson Occluded Eye Gunsight (OEG); a collimatingreflex sight. which provides a single aiming dot. The shooter aims with both eyes open and the effect is to see the aiming spot superimposed on the target, both target and aiming dot being in sharp focus. The launcher is also fitted with an artificial boresight, which can be used to zero the reflex sight. The OEG sight includes a radioluminous lamp which provides the spot contrast and which has a life of approximately 10 years. The Armson sight was designed to be used to determine the range to the target and instantly adjusted. It enables the user to increase the hit probability at ranges up to 375 m. The range quadrant is graduated in 25 m increments and aim is automatically compensated for drift. Using those two weapons to complament each other is a impressive move on his part, I'll give him that much. He must be trying to-huh?' Thunder Pegasus thought.

Just then Thunder Pegasus noticed his hooves getting wet somehow. Thunder Pegasus quickly jumped back to get away from whatever it was. When he landed he noticed that it was water. It was pouring out of the wall like a fountain. It was endlessly pouring out of the wall. It was quickly filling up the cavern. Just then Lazz grinned and inhaled then exhaled a mint-green fireball and shot a grenade from his MGL at the same time at Thunder Pegasus. Thunder Pegasus heard a noise, but didn't see what was coming and got hit with Lazz's attacks. It caused a massive explosion and Thunder Pegasus fell to the ground.

"What..is...going....on...here?" Thunder Pegasus asked.

"It's very simple. However it looks like I'll have to spell it out for you. The fireball I shot at you earlier never missed. You may have avoided it, however that's what I wanted you do to. You see... I was aiming at the wall! I knew water was leaking from the wall thanks to your last few attempts to hit me with lightning bolts when you were still disguised as Takeshi Obata. I knew I could ultimately use this to my advantage, if even for a five second distraction. When it surprised you, you jumped back closer to me and that's when I found your blind spot. With two heads you can have each head cover 179 degrees of vision. Leaving only two degrees of a blind spot. By aiming my next attacks there I was able to hit you." Lazz explained.

Lazz shot another grenade at Thunder Pegasus before he could react. His skin began to melt non-stop. Thunder Pegasus screamed in massive pain. He had never felt like this before. The pain was too much for him to bare. He started to scream louder as his whole back melted off revealing flesh and tissue.

"AHGAGHGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" Thunder Pegasus screamed.

"Acid rounds. It must hurt like hell. I can't have you flying away though so say bye to your wings." Lazz said as he watched Thunder Pegasus's lightning wings fade away due to Thunder Pegasus's whole back gone missing.

"I...see you...had...this all....figured out..." Thunder Pegasus said.

"Maybe. I really wouldn't say that. I knew that I got here by sub so I know this is an island. Since were underground it only makes sense that water leaks from the walls when our attacks hit the walls. And since water conducts electricity..."Lazz said as he walked away toward a small cliff and climbed it to reach a elevator door.

"I....won't.let you......get....away..." Thunder Pegasus said.

Just then a giant stalactite fell from the ceiling and was headed right toward Lazz.

"It won't work. Your illusions are nothing now." Lazz said as he held up his bloody thumb.

The giant rock faded away once it reached the ground.

"I..can still make ...a run..for...it!" Thunder Pegsasus said out of breath.

"I'm afraid not. It's over for you Thunder Pegasus!" Lazz said as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it with his breath and began to smoke. Lazz then pressed a button on his detonator and Thunder Pegasus's legs exploded off.

Thunder Pegasus screamed in agony as light purple blood flew everywhere. Meanwhile the water still rushed toward him.

"I planted a C4 on you the moment I mounted you earlier. It was nice knowing you my acquaintance." Lazz said as he inhaled the cigarette and let out a puff of smoke." To honor the fallen." Lazz said as he opened the elevator door and went inside.

As the door closed he saw Thunder Pegasus drowning in electrified water. Lazz knew he was dead and as he finished his cigarette he reached the highest floor it would take him to. When the doors opened he found himself outside in a snowy area. Suddenly Lazz's eyes grew with fear, as he was now looking into the eyes of another member of BLACKFANG, Tiger Wanghu. He looked at Lazz back with rage.

"So we meet at last Lazz." Tiger Wanghu said firmly.

"Damn....bad timing." Lazz said almost worn out.

Just then Tiger Wanghu hopped inside of his BAE Hawk T.1 trainer and slowly flew into the air.

"Prepare to die Lazz." Tiger Wanghu said.

Lazz did not know what to do against a jet. They moved a whole lot faster then Thunder Pegasus and were really equipped with tons of weapons. Lazz knew the only thing left to do was find cover and find another way inside the stronghold before it was too late.
