Baby Carriages and Fake Tea in Boston = Disaster
#2 of So Furry Presents: The Amazing Race
On the last leg of the Amazing Race, 18 teams begin a race around the country. Their first task: zip line from the Empire State Building or run through New York traffic. While the sorority sisters struck victorious, the karate teachers were the first team eliminated. 1 team down, 17 left.

"Welcome back to New York City." Toner, the host, says. "Angie & Jennifer are the first team up today."
Angie and Jen step up and take their clue. "Route Info." Jen says, "grab an Amazing Race cab in Central Park and drive straight to Boston, Massachusetts." Boston was the city where the famous Boston Tea Party took place. The racers are required to head to the dock where their next task waits for them.
"Let's go!" Angie says. More and more teams get their clue and head to the cabs. Angie & Jennifer and Hans & Claudia once again fight for first place.
As teams get into their vehicles, some agree to share one (June & Mabel and Brent & Syd; Tommy & Regina and Richie & Vlad). However, it's gonna be a long day because Boston is a four hour drive from here. That plus New York traffic, should add another forty-five minutes to that.

"Who's in the lead?" Brent asks. Him and Syd are in the back. June's driving and Mabel has shotgun.
"Think the bakers and sorority sisters." June says.
"Those two obviously have a rivalry." Syd says.
"No kidding. Plus I think Claudia's a little bit too competitive. Don't you think?"
"Of course." Mabel says. "Sometimes reality brings out the worst in people."
"I'll say." Brent muttered. "So, since we're working together, what do we do?"
"Well, the clue says that we need to go to Boston Harbor." June says.
"Which is where the Tea Party took place." Mabel points out.
"What Tea Party?" Brent asks.
"The Boston Tea Party," June says, "it's where Americans dressed as Indians and threw tea off a ship to rebel against the British."
"Oh." Brent says, "you think the next challenge has to do with that?"
"You never know."

"Sweet! We're not in last!" Vlad says. He's the one driving. Richie called shotgun; forcing Tommy & Regina to sit in the back.
"True. But it's a good idea to speed up so we can stay in the lead." Tommy says.
"But we're still in New York." Richie says.
"Yep. That and the fact that this could be a while because of traffic." Vlad says.
"Whatever. As long as we are not in last place, we're golden." Regina says.
The racer manage to get through the traffic and out of Manhattan in less than an hour. From there on, it's open road all the way until the harbor.
"What do you think should be our strategy?" Jack asks Maria. They didn't share their cab.
"Not sure," Maria says, "I think that we should just lay low for a few legs until we make some allies. I'm sure it's possible."
"Who would you want to team up with?"
"Not sure. The graduates bring brains to the table; but the sorority sisters and the bakers seemed pretty fast which could help us in the long run."
"Maybe..."

Toner sits with his newspaper in paws. When he looks up, he sees a few cabs parked and racers running to him. He looks at his watch. "Right on time." He muttered, smiling. He stood up to greet the arrivers. "Angie & Jennifer. Still in first place."
"Awesome." Jen says. Toner hands them the clue, which Angie reads.
"Roadblock," Angie says, "one player from each team must carry one crate from the ship and throw it into the water. Afterwards, move on to next challenge."
"Let's go!" Jen says. They both run up the ramp and onto the deck of the ship, where dozens of crates sit.
Hans & Claudia arrive next, along with Ashley & Jo, Richie & Vlad, and Tommy & Regina.
"You're doing the challenge!" Claudia explains to Hans as the run up to get on board.
"Why me?" Hans asks.
"You're stronger!"
"But you've got more adrenaline right then the juniors right now!"
"So?"
"Want me to do it?" Ashley asks her sister.
"Sure. I'm not sure if I can." Jo says.
"Woooo!!!! This is awesome!!!!" Vlad says.
"Focus, man!" Richie says. Teams manage to get on board. Jennifer grabs one of the crates, tries to lift it, but notices something's off.
"How much is in this thing?" She asks.
"About 100 pounds of fake tea." Toner says, suddenly appearing on board.
"I will not be last place!!" Claudia says. She grabs one of them and, using every inch of energy she can, lifts it up and throws it overboard. When she lets go of it, she puts her paws on her knees, breathing heavily.
"That was awesome, Claudia." Hans says.
"Thanks. Now," Claudia takes in a deep breath, "Run!!!" The two felines take off running off the ship as more teams come (Jon & Devon, Cody & Dave, Helga & Gretel, Jack & Maria, and Cassie & Shawn). Hans hits the button on the clue box for their next clue.
"Roadblock," Hans says, "whoever didn't throw a crate has to push their partner in the... baby carriage challenge?" The second half of the leg involves one partner pushing the other while they're in a baby carriage. The checkpoint rug is in front of City Hall. The first team to arrive there wins the leg; last team to arrive, is out for good.
"I've got this." Helga says, easily lifting a crate and throwing it in the water. "Piece of cake."
"Nice one!" Gretel says.
Ashley, Vlad, Cody, and Jack manage to throw a crate into the water and they run off to their next challenge.
"Wait!" Vlad stops Richie before they continue. "We've got to wait for our teammates."
"Oh, right." Richie says, getting into the carriage.
"How am I supposed to push you?" Jo asks.
"I don't know. You can try right?" Ashley says, getting in.
"I guess." Jo grabs onto the handle and starts pushing her sister to City Hall.
"We're in first place!!" Claudia yells through the streets of Boston. Her tail flies through the air as Hans runs them through the city.
"Calm down, Claudia." Hans says. "You could jinx us!"
"Oh shut up! At least the sorority sisters are far behind!"
"I wouldn't get too cocky!" Dave says, keeping himself and Cody neck and neck with the bakers.
"How did you two get here fast!?!" Claudia asks.
"We're fast." Cody says. "See ya at the finish line!" Dave starts picking up the pace and passes Hans & Claudia.
"Hurry up, man!!" Claudia yells.
"Don't rush me woman! I'm going as fast as I can!" Hans yells.
"Fine! I've got a better idea!" She grabs the pillow from the carriage and, aiming carefully, throws it hard at the back of Dave's head. When it hits, Dave gets knocked forward into the carriage and the two still roll forward, towards City Hall.

The rest of the teams arrive right when Jennifer finally throws the crate into the water and runs off with Angie.
"C'mon! We're way behind!" Rob says. He's afraid to get last place again. Robbie throws a crate into the water and they run off.
"Need some help?" Mabel asks after she flawlessly completed the task.
"Nope. I've got this." Brent says. With some struggling, he lifts it up and tosses the fake tea overboard. "It's all a matter of if we can try or not."
"Ok." Mabel says. June & Mabel and Brent & Syd run off, get their clue, and they appropriately get into the carriages.
"You can do this baby!" Jon cheers on his partner. Devon gets the crate overboard.
"I don't understand how they can do this so easily." Shawn says. Cassie completes the task without struggle.
"It's not that hard." Cassie says.
"Easy for you to say!" The albinos and prostitutes run off.
The restaurant workers get the task done and meet up with their allies.
"About time!" Vlad says. "What took so long?"
"That fake tea is very heavy!" Tommy says.
"Alright, let's get moving before one of us has to leave!" Regina says. Regina and Clad push their partners as Sara and Seven get their challenge complete for their partners.

"Cody & Dave, you came in first." Toner says. The jocks get out of their carriage and they celebrate by bumping chests. "Hold on there! You boys are getting a ten minute penalty."
"Why?" Dave asks.
"You were supposed to push Cody throughout the city. You weren't supposed to get in the carriage with him."
"It's not my fault. Something hit the back of my head."
"Either way. You can't officially check in until 10 minutes pass." Another team arrives at the checkpoint. "Which means Hans & Claudia, you're today's winners."
"Yes!!! Finally!" Claudia says.
"Sweet!" Hans says.
"Let's hope 10 minutes goes by fast." Cody says.

"I knew I should've been working out!" Timothy says. Him and Avery are in dead last. Well, almost. Samantha & Steven are still on the ship with them. Timothy tries his best to even lift the crate an inch off the ground. A very jitters out of fear and panic. If Samantha or Steven complete the task, they could be kicked out of the race.
Steven tries to; but can't get a good grip on it. "How hard can this be?" Samantha asks. She lifts a different crate off the ground, but struggles. The video game addicts hear a splash, turn around and see the Transexuals running off.
"Hurry, Samantha!" Steven says. She quickly gets the crate over the edge and into the water. They take off towards the last two carriages and they start running towards the checkpoint.
"Where do you think we stand right now?" Vlad asks.
"Probably in like 12th or 13th right now." Tommy says.
"I think the gaming addicts, Transexuals, and adrenaline junkies are still behind us." Regina says.
"Are we now?" Seven says, passing the two teams.
"How'd you do that?" Vlad says.
"Not sure." Stuart says. "But when it comes to stuff that makes our blood pump, were usually there."
"That explains your title." Tommy says sarcastically.
"Yep." Stuart says, "see you at the finish line!" He takes off running faster than the songwriters and restaurant workers.

"Congratulations on receiving second place." Toner says. Helga & Gretel high five each other and step off the rug. Cody & Dave start to get nervous. If the wrestlers can make it here, what's stopping the other teams? They still have 6 and a half minutes left in their penalty.
"Jack & Maria, third place." Toner says.
"Great. We're getting better." Maria says as she helps Jack get out of the carriage.
"Really now?" Claudia mutters when she overheard Maria. The feline might've just found her next target after this leg is over. Another team comes and stops on the checkered rug.
"Ashley & Jo, fourth place." Toner announces.
"Finally." Jo collapses on the ground, breathing heavily. Ashley gets out of the carriage and picks up her sister.
"You did awesome, sis." Ashley says. She carries her off. Toner's watch beeps and he looks up.
"Cody & Dave, penalty's up." The jocks then step on the rug. "Jocks take fifth place."
"Yes! We're still in the race!" Cody and Dave high-five.
Angie & Jennifer- 6th place
Seven & Stuart- 7th place
Richie & Vlad- 8th place
Tommy & Regina- 9th place
Matthew & Sara- 10th place
"Prostitutes, you are eleventh place." Toner says.
"Yay!" Jon jumps into Devon's arms and they start making out.
"Guys! You can't have sex in public, let alone on national television." Toner says. The two then walk off while Toner rolls his eyes.
Another team rolls on the rug then off. "Brent & Syd are in twelfth." Again. "Early graduates are in thirteenth."
"That was great." Brent says. "We're still in this together."
"I know." June says.
"Any guesses as for who might come last?" Mabel asks.
"If I had money, I'd bet the brothers or game addicts." Syd says.
"Here come the brothers." June says. Rob & Robbie get on the rug and Toner confirms they're in 14th.
"Cool! We did better than yesterday!" Robbie says, fist bumping his brother.
"Albinos, you scored 15th place." Toner says. Cassie & Shawn walk off the rug and to the other teams.
"Wanna try to go for an alliance?" Cassie says.
"Why not?" Shawn says. The keep walking until they stop next to another team. "S'up?"
"Nothing much." Matthew says.
It all comes down to the Transexuals and the video game addicts. Both teams come into view of City Hall. They keep passing each other. In a minute, they both pass the checkpoint rug; but Toner could clearly tell which team came first.
"Avery & Timothy, 16th place." The host says.
"Yes!" Avery says, "that was too close!"
"I know." Timothy says.
Samantha & Steven look disappointed and defeated. "Video game addicts, looks like it's game over for the two of you." Toner says. "You came in last and are out of the race. Now go home."
Steven turns Samantha around and wheels her off the other direction. "Well," Steven says, "I had fun."
"Me too." Samantha says.
"I guess it sucks being cut early but hey! We didn't come in last, that's something!"
"True. Wanna go home and binge play Super Mario Bros.?"
"You know I do, Sam."
