There was trouble in town. King K. Rool came onto the scene and started causing havoc. He was attacking citizens and stealing the precious bananas from the Kongs. However, the main 5, Donkey, Diddy, Tiny, Lanky, and Chunky were no where to be found. It would soon be discovered that K. Rool had captured them and experimented on them, turning the Kongs into various baddies for his own use. He tested on Chunky first, turning into K. Lumsy, a giant Kremling with a good heart, wearing his red cap instead of his usual crown. He locked him up in a cage, considering him a failure. Diddy Kong was turned into a Klaptrap, a small green alligator, kept as a pet by K. Roll himself, still wearing his Nintendo cap. Lanky Kong was turning a Zinger, a big bee with goofy eyes, wearing overalls for his body. Tiny Kong had become a blue beaver, with a big intelligence drop, still sporting her beanie. And lastly, DK was turning into a Kremling himself, the very enemies he fought against to protect his home, still wearing his trademark tie. All of them still had their old minds, although Tiny and Lanky's new forms had dropped their IQ so much they were almost mindless soldiers, kept in a cage for the others to look at. It seemed King K. Rool was about ready to conquer to Kong's home. With the Kongs now under K. Rool's control, no way for them to change themselves back, times seemed bleak. He send pictures of the transformed Kongs to Cranky, as a means of showing there was no more protection for them.

Cranky wasn't ready to let King K. Rool get away with this. Cranky got to work in his laboratory to create some kind of device to turn others into temp replacements for the Kongs until they were returned to normal. He spent hours making a VHS tape that when watched, they would be turning into a Kong that no longer was in the world. Cranky had to take the risk of using his very early stage dimension jump devices. He tossed it in with hopes of 5 finding it to help. Cranky began to work on potions to change the other Kongs back.

Jose was walking through a thrift shop. He always did on the Sundays. Every Sunday night, he and his buddies watched some random movie Jose had found earlier. Jose found a strange un-marked VHS that caught his interest. He took it and asked about it. "The tape just kinda, showed up, we slapped a tag on it, you can just have it, I feel it's just a blank tape." the man behind the counter told Jose. He took it, and decided to wait for the movie night before checking it out. Jose's friends, Johnny, Tina, Ella, and Colin showed up. They all sat and Jose introduced the film. "I found this un-marled tape today, it could be something great!" he said, the others feeling un-certain about it. He put it in and pressed play. To his confusion, there was only a spinning circle that hypnotizes people. They couldn't look away as much as they tried, and as they were under its spell, they began to change.

Jose grew brown fur all over his body, except for hands, feet, and front, akin to an ape. His forehead morphed as it formed a small hole for his eyes, black on the inside. His nose became but two nostrils and mouth grew much larger. He became much shorter and his feet changed so they could double as hands. He gained much more muscle and a red tie with the words "DK" on them formed on him. Colin had a near identical change, only his forehead din't change, and a red cap and blue varsity jacket formed on him. His IQ dropped, but maintain sweet and lovable. His new form was much stronger than Jose's and he was a bit bigger.

Johnny's hair grew longer and turned blonde, forming two long ponytails that reached his hips in a now shrunken body, shorter than the rest. He grew a lighter shade of brown fur than the rest, his facial features becoming softer. Purple eyeshadow and mascara was applied and a multi-colored beanie formed. Johnny's adam's apple was almost non-existent as it shrunk greatly, giving him a high pitched voice. Johnny's arms thinned out and fingers were now dainty, his legs and feet following. His hips widened and rear expanded a little bit. Johnny's male organ retreated into him as he became a female Kong. Two small orbs pushed out, forming breasts, barely reaching A cups. Johnny was now in a female ape's body, on the starting steps of puberty, her curves barely starting to form.

Tina's change was a bit different from the rest. Orange fur grew instead of brown, with a yellow belly. Her hair shortened to a small ruffle, her face pushing out a bit. Her nose became a small red round one, and mouth pushed out a bit. Tina's arms became thinner, and much longer, being constantly on the ground like a second set of feet. Her curves became flat, and her feet now doubled as hands and she shrunk in height. Her flatness was replaced by a male bulge. Tina was greeted with blue overalls with a porr fitting blue t shirt. His muscles altered, to allow Tina to easily walking using her hands instead of feet, or with a handstand as it were.

Ella's change was very similar to Johnny's. Her size almost the same, fur being the same as Jose and Colin. A long tail came from her back and a red cap with the words 'Nintendo' formed on her. Ella's breasts retreated into her body, and a red shirt with stars formed on her chest. Her rear became flat, her hourglass figure becoming flat after. Ella felt her gender switch as a new organ formed on her front, becoming a "he."

Once they had transformed, they were all gone from Jose's house without a trace. They all fell down onto the floor of some kind of treehouse hut. "Hello new heroes." an old voice told them. They all got up in their foreign bodies and examined themselves for the first time. Jose and Colin were shocked, but glad to keep their gender. They admired they new muscles, but weren't ready to stay in these forms. Johnny was very embarrassed, a once big strong man had become a little female ape on the verge on becoming a woman, with a light body and top heavy weight, Johnny's familiar region downstairs gone with what felt like nothing. Tina and Ella not feeling better. Ella was having trouble standing on his feet. The only thing he could do with his arms was put them being his head, or use them like he was on all fours. Taking test steps, Ella figured out how to feel right walking on his 4 feet. Ella was the only one who truly enjoyed the transformation. She was the only one who knew anything about DK 64, and despite being a male, she still loved that she got to experience being a Kong. Ella walked around with all fours, as it was more comfortable with his short height. After testing out their new forms, they all turned to Cranky, who idly watched them act a bit nuts. "Did you do this old man!?" Johnny said, upset at everything and more from her new high voice. "Yes, but this is temporary until I can save the other Kongs, which it what you will do.' Cranky told them. "And what makes you think we will help you!?" Johnny retorted, borderline on a meltdown. "Glad you asked." he said, opening a body that sent an aroma around the room. 'W-what is this, what are you...Cranky? Who?" Johnny said as she slowly felt like her mind going blank, the others following. "Tell me your names now." Cranky said. They went down the line as he kept their names for now. "Alright, when I say your name, repeat after me. Got it?" Cranky said as the others idly nodded yes. "Donkey Kong" pointing to Jose, "Diddy Kong" pointing to Ella, "Tiny Kong" pointing to Johnny, "Lanky Kong" pointing to Tina, and "Chunky Kong" pointing to Colin. Each Kong repeated their new Kong name when told. 'Now when I snap my fingers, you will awaken as your new self." Cranky said, snapping his fingers. All the Kongs stood up. Cranky talked to them all individually and told them to split up to cover more ground and what their mission was. Each Kong was in charge of bringing each of their transformed selves back to him so Cranky can hold them in a cell into a cure is made. Cranky ordered them out to go and find them.

King K. Rool got news of this new info of new Kongs picking up where the others left off. He injected all the Kongs with a serum for them to think like their new forms, and be loyal to him. With the exception of Chunky, who wouldn't be helpful. Tiny and Lanky lost the only bit of brain they had that remembered who they once were. Diddy was now a small alligator and was sent out to the wild. Donkey Kong fought the hardest but gave in as the serum took control of his brain, he became the very thing he hated, no trace of his formed self in his mind. He sent the transformed Kongs out to fight the new Kongs. It was up to our new heroes to save our old ones.
