It was a somewhat clear day outside, but you could tell the clouds far in the distance carried rain. There is a little, bright red, wolf pup standing close to a big, green dragon who is signing him into a small household daycare. The pup has his ears pressed against his head and tail in between his legs. "Do I hafta go?" He asks the dragon.

"Sorry pup but I can't leave you home alone" He bent down so he was eye level with his pup "I promise you will be fine, it's only for today"

"But wha if dey make fun of me?" He questioned as the dragon stood up and finished the paperwork.

"Now why would they do that?" He responded as he handed the papers to a red panda who appeared to be in her mid twenties. "All the kids there should be around the same age as you. You have nothing to worry about"

"You promish?" The wolf pup said as he looked up at the dragon with big puppy eyes.

The dragon handed the panda some things then bent down and kissed the little pup's forehead. "I promise" He stood up, got to the door and waved goodbye. "I'll be back around five" And with that he was gone and the panda bent down to look at the pup.

"Hi, my name is Bren, you will have a great time here. The other kids are... fun" The red panda explained.

"I'm Cody" The pup muttered out shyly, looking at his feet paws.

"Aww come on. You don't have to be shy" She ruffles Cody's hair and extends a paw. "Come on, I'll show you where the others are" He grabs it and Bren leads Cody to a pretty big sized play room. The room was basically the definition of controlled chaos. There are cubs running around, some digging through the toy boxes and, a couple were shouting at the top of their lungs, and even some lazing around in comfy places. But it all seemed to be in order and everything was basically where it needed to be (except all the toys thrown across the floor).

It had everything a cub would want. There was at least on toy box on every side of the wall. In one of the corners there was a indoor playhouse where a couple cubs are playing pirates. There are two couches on the left and right walls from when you enter, one one of them there were a couple sleeping pups and on the other one was a very small red panda who was watching a couple kids fight over a car at the hot wheels track.

Bren sets Cody down by the lone panda "Cody this is Dare, Dare this is Cody"

"Haiya Cody!" Dare exclaims and scoots by him.

"Ummm hi" Cody responds shyly looking down at his feet paws

"Whats wrong? I'm not gonna bite"

"Ish jus dat I'm kinda new here"

"Aww dats nuffin ta be scared of. I can show you around if ya wan"

"Weawy? You would do dat?"

"Yea! Come on lets go!" Dare hopped off the couch and Cody followed.

"If you kids need any thing just come and ask" Bren informed the children. With that last part she looked down at Cody's diaper. Cody who was wearing nothing but a dark purple T-shirt blushed, which was hard to see considering his fur, and tried to cover his padding up with it. Bren then chuckled to herself and walked off to check on some of the other cubs.

"Ya dun hafta be shy bout dat. Everyone here still wears dem. Even me an im five" Cody looked at him very confused, because the panda didn't look more than three years old.

"You awe? But you awe tiny" The pup questioned.

"Yea my pawents call me a feather. Come on I wanna show you my car!" Dare said as he ran as fast as he could over to the hot wheels track with Cody in hot pursuit. When they got to the track there was a fight going on between to other cubs.

"Give it back!! Ifs mine!!" Shouted out a little fox kit that looked about the age of two.

"Nope you were mean so now its mine" calmly replied a wolf that somehow had dragon wings. The kit pouts and then kicks the wolf in the shin and and he drops the toy car. Then the kit picks it up and dashes away with it.

"Hey dat my car!" Dare shouted and pounced the kit.

"Hey get offs!! I wan it!!" The fox says as he tries to wiggle away. While those two were fighting the wolf dragon noticed Cody and walked toward him.

"Hi I'm Bray. You must be new here" the wolf said in a light British accent and extended a paw.

"I'm Cody. You talk funny" Cody then shook his paw but quickly pulled back and yelped.

Bray pulled off the joy buzzer from his paw and a big cheesy smile spread across his muzzle "Rule one, never trust me" Cody whined and backed away from bray. "Awww come on. I'm sorry" And Bray moved forward and gave Cody a big hug. Cody whined and hesitantly hugged back. "So how old are you Cody?" Bray asked after letting go.

Cody giggled at Bray's accent and told him. "I's two. How bout you?"

"I'm five" Bray announced proudly. "Hey what are ya laughin at?"

"You. You talk funny" Cody giggled.

"Yea I get that a lot" Then bray notices Dare and the fox fighting. "Hey guys stop and Astus come over here"

The fox who Cody was assuming was Astus wiggled out from under dare and dove under a couch "Nu. I dun wanna you meanie" He responded from across the room.

"Don't worry about him, he's just being a baby. That's Astus by the way, but we just call him Aty for short"

Dare walked back over looking quite sad. "He stole my car" Dare pouted as he plopped down on the floor.

"Why he hidin under dere" Cody pointed to the couch where you could see a bit of tail sticking out from underneath.

"Oh, well that's his "safe place". It's where he goes when he gets scared or if anything bad happens" Bray explained and walked over to Dare. "I'm sorry Dare. We will get it back I promise"

"But how we gonna do dat?" Dare asked questioning Bray's word.

"Hmmm, how about we send Cody. Aty hasn't seen him yet and he might trust him" Bray thought aloud. When Cody heard that he started backing away some. "Awww it's okay Cody he wont bite... well it wont hurt. He barley has any teeth" That didn't help Cody at all and his ears pressed against his head and he whined.

"Pwease Cody, you could weawy help me" Dare pleaded.

Cody sighed and agreed "But what I hafta do?" Was his only question.

"How about you just go over there and talk to him" Bray stated his idea. So Cody sighed then walked in front of the couch and sat down on the floor.

He peaked his head under and tried to a least get Astus to talk to him "Umm hi, I'm Cody" He said somewhat quietly, fearing the worst.

Astus's nose slowly started to come out from underneath and he started sniffing. Cody was looking at him confused and then the rest of his head popped out. "Hi. I had ta make sure you wasn't Bway"

"Whatcha doin under dere?" Cody questioned.

"I'm hidin from da meanies" Aty said as if it was obvious.

"How dey mean?" Cody cocked his head to the side genuinely confused. Sure Bray pulled a prank, but that was all he did and he made up for it right after. And then Dare seemed like the nicest cub he had seen here so far.

"Cause dey twied to take my car" Aty simply stated.

"But Dare said it was his car"

"Well... yus, but i wan it"

"Can yous give it back ta him? He looks sad bout it"

"But I found it so it mine"

"Hmmm, but dere awe more cars over dere" Cody pointed to the track where Bray and Dare were while they were looking back at him.

"Yea but I wike dis one"

"Ya know you awe sayin dat dey awe meanies but you awe actin wike one" Cody explained.

"... Nu I'm nawt" Aty thought about it and tried arguing.

"Yea you kinda awe"

"But Bway ish da meanie" Aty pouted.

"Den why yous actin wike one?"

"I... I dunno" Astus admitted and crawled out from under the couch. He then walked over to Dare and gave him back his car without saying a word. Cody followed with a little smile on his face, but it didn't last long as Dare pounced him and gave Cody a tight squeeze hug.

"Fank yous" Dare happily exclaimed.

"Yous wewcome" Cody tried to say while being squeezed for what seemed like forever.

"Hey guys? Do you wanna play a game?" Bray announced after Dare let go of Cody and Aty didn't seem to be going anywhere.

"What game?" Dare and Astus asked while Cody just kinda stayed quiet not knowing what was going to happen.

"Hmmm, how about hide an seek!" Bray exclaimed after a bit of thought. All of the other cubs looked at each other in excitement and nodded. "Okay I guess I'll count then" Bray then covered his eyes and started counting backwards from 30. Cody, who didn't know how much time he had, started looking around frantically for a place to hide. "18... 17... 16..." Cody then dove into a pile of pillows and plushes that was in the far corner. From here he could see almost the whole room but no one could see him. "4... 3... 2... 1... Ready or not here I come!" Bray shouted across the room. Almost immediately Bray found Astus, who was hiding under the couch.

Cody was wagging under the pile and trying not to giggle. Next bray found Dare who hiding behind the door with his hands over his eyes. But Dare kept insisting that Bray couldn't see him because Dare couldn't see him, so Bray just let it be.

Just then Bren walked back into the room. "Have any of you seen Cody?" She asked looking around the room.

"Nope, we are playing hide an seek" Bray responded still searching the room for Cody.

"Well find him quick. He needs to go home" Bren responded

All the cubs started pouting and arguing "Does he hafta go?" "Pwease one more minute" "Why can't he stay?"

"I'm sorry, but he has to leave" Bren tried persuading the cubs. Cody who was wondering what was going on poked his head out of the pile and walked over to the group. "There you are Cody. It's time for you to go home" Bren said bending down to the pups eye level.

"But I dun wanna go. I wike it here" The cub pouted.

"You know you can't stay here forever" Cody nodded at this statement. "Now come on Cody lets go" She extended a paw and Cody took it and with the other he waved good bye to all the other cubs.

Bren then lead him to the front door where the green dragon was waiting with open arms. Cody then launched himself into his arms and he gave him a big hug. "Did you have a good day pup?" The dragon asked.

Cody nods happily and wags "Uh huh! It was weawy fun!"

"Well I'm glad. How would you like it if you came back here again tomorrow?" The caretaker questioned.

Cody gasps "Weawy?! I can?!" The dragon laughed and nodded. "Yous da bestest eva!!" And Cody hugged even tighter. And with that the dragon picked up the pup and they left to go home.
