** There you are, walking in the solitary timberlands, the darkness taking over your imagination as the natural sounds take on horrid interpretations. Is that the wind rustling the leaves or a stalker of the forest? Is the snapping of branches and the crackling of leaves your own or a malicious madman? You gaze around in the darkness, unable to make out basic shapes without the small field of vision gifted by your flashlight. Suddenly a loud snap envelopes the surrounding forest, low omnipresent growls being heard. your heart skips alive, fear and adrenaline overtaking your body as your fight or flight instincts take over. Quickly, you start to run to your cabin, the light emanating from it instantly taking over your mind in pure raw ecstasy from the thought of safety and comfort. you stride to the doors, opening them in a frantic craze before closing the door behind you and locking it, the deadbolt further embracing your sense of wellbeing. you close all the blinds, grabbing your gun and peeking out the door's peephole. the darkness surrounding the cabin gives up no silhouette or creature to your line of sight, your heart still beating from the experience. As the adrenaline slowly declines from the inactivity of stimula, so does the rush and awareness you felt, you start to feel the fatigue of the night creep up on you, making you drowsy. You think to yourself to rest lay on the couch and rest your eyes for a bit so you do that, you slowly get lulled into a siesta, all your worries melting away before you notice. CRASH!! a loud sound jerks you awake before you grab your gun and point to the kitchen, the source of the noise, slowly pacing towards it, your heart alive and pumping again. You turn the corner and lock eyes with a white creature, its head bulbous, long white claws almost touching the ground as it stares into you, it's eyes black and soulless. You both stand there motionless, you frozen by fear and the abomination just watching, and as your finger slowly finds its way over to the trigger the creature gives out a loud screech. Swiftly you pull your finger to the trigger, sending forth the bullet from the gun as the creature emits the horrid high pitched sound. The screeching gives to a sudden halt, the blinding muzzle flash of your rifle momentarily blinding you. You regain what vision you can in the near pitch black cabin to reveal only a bullet hole, pierced through the wooden floor of the cabin. Wondering what happened, you look around. There's no broken windows or any signs of a break-in, only you with your rifle in hand and a hole in the floor. confused you clutch your rifle tightly, searching around for the monstrosity. You search and search around the cabin to find nothing before you sit on your bed, wide awake from the encounter, the darkness in your cabin giving an aura of fear and uncertainty. You keep your eyes open the best you can, the fear of that thing keeping you up but the shadow that engulfed your cabin lulling you into a deep sleep... You slowly wake up to the sound of what seems to be something scraping along the floor and feet hitting the ground. You quietly grab your gun and get up, not making a sound as you get up before the scraping stops. As the moonlight faintly pierces the blinds to show the outline of the white imp you saw, its red eyes staring into yours. you start to raise your gun before and try to aim before the same ear piercing screech discharges from it, louder and higher than usual. Quickly you guard your ears, trying to protect them as you feel them vibrate. Before you know it the creature runs at you, digging its white claws into your chest and making you feel it pierce your flesh. Giving a gasp of pain as the claws dig past your lungs you look down at the imp, watching as the claws force themselves down to the bottom. Your vision slowly fades as the pain goes away, your breathing erratic and vainful before it all goes black...**
