#1 of Tales From a Nerdy Wolf

This came out like a severely edited version of a friend's life story. I don't know why, and I'm not telling whose life so you can stalk them lol

Translations are as follows:

Kaminari Kitsune: Thunder Fox

Aka Kitsune:Red Fox

Shinrin Kitsune: Forest Fox

Ryu: A dragon in Japanese mythology

Unmei: Destiny

I'm sorry for all of you people who think high school is a better subject. I feel more comfortable writing middle school story's because my middle school has a high school branch, and it still feels like middle school here. Also, eighth grade was my most eventful year in all of schooling, and I take some of this stuff from what happened to me. I just know 12-14 reactions better than any other age's because that is when I started having my own personality, instead of a combination of my parents'

Also a bit of fourth wall breaking, i'm not telling where

I don't look nerdy. In fact I look quite handsome, if you don't mind that I was born Feral.I am Kaminari Kitsune, a wolf raised by foxes, and this is the story of my life.I was born to a Feral 'pack', one who was not very lenient about physical deformities, much like the Spartans of ancient Greece. I had a birthmark shaped like lightning on my front right paw, a sign of bad luck for that particular 'pack', and was left, abandoned on a hillside in one of many forests in Oragon. A citizen of a local town, a red fox and Japanese immigrant named Aka Kitsune (read: literally Red Fox) on, according to him, a "nature walk". Aka raised me like a son, and was delighted because he already had a daughter named Ryu, or Ry-Ry.His wife, Shinrin, was a kind fox, and was like a mother too my, even if she didn't birth me.Ry-Ry was my best friend, and Aka was my father, even if he wasn't my species. As it turns out, the Kitsune's were on vacation in Oregon when they found me.We now live in Florida, near the swamps, and the sun.Aka, Shinrin, or just Ki, and Ryu were all accustomed to the sun, and the heat. I, being just a few days old when we went back to Florida, wasn't, and I got shaved for a bit to get used to the heat. When I got into kindergarten, I was already the target of bullys. "Hey, look at the Wolf who thinks he's a fox!" One vicious bear in fifth grader joked. I ignore the series of laughs at me as I jump into the family car, with Ki driving, her red-orange fox tail ticking my nose in the the back seat. Years passed. I was bullyed in every grade, but I persevered, even skipping a grade, third.Ry-Ry was still my best friend. Ki and Aka were my parents. Life was good. Then I got to eighth grade. Everything got worse. That is where we start. The first day of the eighth grade.

I walked into Forestville Charter School with Ryu and Aka, the former in several of my classes, the latter hoping to meet my teachers. I had never gone here before, the new school that had just started a year ago. I was too late to register last year, and I had no guide to the new, strange, school. My first impression was "It's kind of narrow in here, right Aka?" The red fox flicked his tail in deep thought. " Yeah. I wonder how they fit the bigger guys in here? Any ideas, Ryu?"My adoptive sister thought a moment before answering."They don't, most likely. Kami here is probably the width limit,"she said, slapping my backpack, a blue camping bag."OK, Kami, I'll show you homeroom. You'll love Ms.Hare. I believe that her daughter is also adopted, and is Japanese like us!"Unlike me, Ryu had been here before. She was the reason that I wasn't able to enroll last year. She took the last spot.

As we head up the flight of stairs, my guitar case bangs against the brown, metal railings."Hurry up, slowpoke!"she yells back at me with a grin. She knew why I was lagging behind. I was about half as wide as the stairs, and with the guitar, I just barely fit without bumping the wall or the railing.Add on the fifty-pound backpack stuffed with schoolbooks, a laptop, and some novels to read, and I was slowed to crawling speed. When I finally made it to the top of the iron stairs, I groaned."Another narrow hallway?" I asked, hoping against hope that I was just seeing the worst."Yep. It is wider than the stairwell, and Guitar is... This one!" She says, pointing to a door that had a black treble clef taped to it.As I reach for the handle, my lightning birthmark on my right paw tingles, the way it does when I'm both nervous and exited at the same time."Hello," I hear a voice say."Thunder Fox I presume? Your sister told me all about you.Hello, Ryu."We both jump at the voice, a female rabbit's. The owner obviously knew Ry-Ry, and apperantly Ry-Ry knew her, too, a flash of recognition. "Hello, Ms.Hare. I see your Japanese has improved."Ms. Hare smiled,a smile that lit up her cream-colored face. After I dropped my guitar off, Ms.Hare brought me and Ryu to IPS. Ninth grade science. When Ms.Hare opened the door, she gasped. The IPS room was a wreck. I surveyed the mess, noting how the mess looked not spontaneous, but planned. A young rabbit with her ears tied back was cleaning up the mess, slowly making a dent in the clutter. "Hello, Mother. I hope that your brief walk was pleasant." The rabbit was gray, with black hair flowing down, back length. "Oh! Hello. You two must be the Thunder Fox and the Dragon Fox," she said, holding her paw out to shake."Even though you aren't both foxes. I am Unmei. Destiny in English, but Unmei sounds prettier, don't you think?" I shook her hand."The same for both of us. Me and Ry-Ry here," I say, pointing to my sister, who was looking all around the classroom for some clean spot,"would like to be addressed by our real names, or nicknames. No translations, please." I glanced at the clock.Twenty minutes before first period."Unmei, Ryu and I should start cleaning. Other students should be arriving soon." Just minutes before first period started, we finished. It had helped that along the way, another fox had come in,and imeadeatly started helping us clean."The name's Rex," he said."My real name is Holden, but everyone calls me Rex, and I like Rex better." The fox, grey, not red, had piercing green eyes."So,Rex," I said as I pulled out my laptop."Would you like to see my work?" I turned the laptop on and logged in."Sure."I opened up the document."Good. Its called 'Tales From A Nerdy Wolf...'"
