A very large horse decides to go on a blind date with me. Shenanigans happen.

First shrinking story I've made without vore, sex, or anything dirty. Also my longest non-commission story to date(3501 words).

Arnie the horse nervously ran his thick fingers through his hair. He was meeting his blind date. His good friend Silver, set him up with this date, saying it would be the best night of his life. Arnie doubted him, knowing most of his date nights ended up in the other just staring at him the whole time. Being a solid nine and a half feet tall, a wall of muscle, and a deep voice, there was more focus on his looks than anything. He was scared it was gonna be yet another horny size queen. He rubbed his face one more time before knocking.

"You better be right Silver."

After an undiscrenable yell, the door swung open. Arnie crouched and poked his head inside, trying to find whoever answered the door. A finger poking his leg made him look down. The horse thought it was a hyena child, but he had no spots and seemed way too fluffy. Arnie smiled and waved to the supposed child.

"Hey lil' guy. Is your daddy home? I have a date with him tonight."

The small hyena started laughing and had to lean on Arnie's leg to keep from falling over.

"The only person I call daddy, is whoever I land in bed good lookin'. Maybe that can be you."

Arnie's cheeks went bright red. As he squeezed through the door, he tried to explain away mistaking his date for a child.

"I am so sorry! I didn't mean to insult your height or anything! I thought-"

"Relax big guy. You ain't the first to think I'm a kid. Name's Reed."

"Arnie."

Reed immediately pointed Arnie to a couch fit for people as big as him. It seemed Reed's home was fit for more people of a large size, despite how small the hyena was. As he was brought a slice of cake, the horse tried to salvage the horrible start of his date.

"I appreciate the cake, but shouldn't we-"

"Nothin' like a slice of sweetness to get the night started I say. Now you eat that slice up, and I'll finish gettin' ready."

When Reed left, Arnie just stared at the slice of cake. While he tried to avoid sweets, he didn't want to seem ruder than he already was. He quickly slid the slice off the plate into his mouth. The cake was so light and moist, it seemed to make his mouth dance. The icing was like biting into the embodiment of sugar itself. He could feel his body slip into total relaxation from his early dessert. He tried to fight it but couldn't. He fell asleep.

Reed was giggling as soon as he heard Arnie snore. His plan was now in motion. Since Silver told him his friend was tired of being stared at because he was so big, Reed's cake was going to fix that. He walked up next to Arnie to watch it happen. While Reed has shrunk many a people with his cakes, it always interests him to watch it happen.

It was slow at first. The shirt that was tightened by his muscles got loose. His pants got closer to his ankles than they were before, As he got smaller, the shrinking happened faster. Soon the horse went from a giant that hulked over Reed, to shrunken small enough to disappear into his own shirt. Reed fished around in the shirt and wrapped his hand around the now naked, shrunk horse. He carefully lifted him out, placed him the other end of the couch, and started to fold the giant clothes. He just laid the shirt on the floor to fold when he heard Arnie stir.

"Wake up sleepy head. Your powernap's over."

Arnie leaned forward and rubbed his face. Getting up to stretch, he tried to get his foot on the ground, but all it touched was air. Attempting to grab onto something, the poor horse simply fell on the floor. Hand on the side of the couch cushion, he tried to steady himself. It wasn't until he opened his eyes that he understood what was going on.

"Holy crap everything's huge!"

"No, you're just really small."

As Arnie picked himself off the ground, he survyed his surroundings. Everything was HUGE! The house the horse had to once crouch just to walk around, was now much, much bigger. The couch had to be the size of a skyscraper! Everything was just so big.

"Bit much for you big man?"

The hyena completely changed in size. Before the hyena was a little over the horse's knee in height. From the frist look upon the looming Reed, it seemed Arnie was nowhere close to being the hyena's size.

"Come on, let's get a closer look at ya shorty."

Reed's hands reached for Arnie. As he tried to back away from the hyena, Arnie fell onto a thin, soft, familiar cloth. Rolling over to see what it was, he was shocked to see what he fell on. It was his shirt, but it was the size of a circus tent. Still trying to process what was going on, a pair of giant, soft hands lifted him up into the air.

"Now relax Arnie. Panicking after shrinking is never good. Makes you shrink more."

"What do you mean? What's going on? Where are we? Where are my clothes? Also---"

Reed held Arnie against his furry chest, cutting him off. He could feel the shrunken horse try to struggle and push away, but he held him firm until he stopped. He sat down on the floor and placed Arnie down in front of him.

"Okay, I'll answer your questions if you relax. What I meant was the magical residue will keep shrinking you if you don't give it a minute to wear off. What's going on is that I shrank you at the request of your friend Silver. For the where, we're still at my place. I was about to fold up your clothes when you woke up. I would've shrank them with you, but working clothes into my magic is a pain. Did that answer all your questions?"

"Three more questions. Is this permanent?"

"No. I could change your size at anytime with my cake magic."

"Ok then. Second question: Are you the same Reed that runs that super famous bakery, Reed's Cakery?"

"The very same. What's your last question?"

Arnie blushed and looked down. He actually rubbed the back of his head a bit before asking.

"C-Can you um, hold me against your.....um...chest again?"

"No problem Arnie. People of every size love to feel the fluff. Now come 'ere and get covered in some of this stuff."

As Arnie felt Reed's hands wrap around him again, he looked at the wall of incoming fluff in awe. When he felt his body become covered in the fluffiness that was Reed's chest, he felt relaxed and safe on a strange level. It was also very warm, since a lack of clothing made things feel a bit chillier. Every step Reed took only felt like a small shake to Arnie. The feeling of the fluffy chest was gone when Arnie was placed on a table. It looked like a changing room for dolls.

"We gotta get you dressed for our date Arnie. I had a friend shrink some clothes down for your size. Why don't you take your pick while I finish dinner? I'll be back in ten. Don't go anywhere."

As Reed closed the door, Arnie began looking at the small collection of small clothes. It was mostly just regular shirts and button-ups. The jeans looked nice, but he wasn't a jeans kind of guy. Clothes had to be chosen, or he would have to stay naked, and that was NOT happening. After a moment, his eyes settled on somethng familiar to him. It was a one-piece outfit for exercise, which he had many of at home. Having slipped it on, he walked over to a doll-sized mirror and checked out how it fit.

Arnie's muscles were always a bit bulgy, even for his former size. In his shrunken state, the outfit covered him as he expected. His forearms and forelegs were exposed, but his covered muscles bulged out just enough to impress himself in the mirror. His biceps and triceps stretched the arms of shirt. His pectorals did not protrude as much as they do with his own shirts, but he was thankful the outfit could be be worn properly at least.

Though the idea of staring at himself flex seemed somewhat appealing, Arnie wasn't arrogant enough to be entertained by that. He also didn't want Reed to see him acting that way. He looked around, really taking in the scale of things. He never had friends with the magical or scientific prowess to do anything related to changing size. Since the only glimpse he had of being shrunk before this evening was pictures on the internet, he knew this was quite a rare experience for him. Not wanting to wait for Reed, Arnie climbed down to the floor. He was grateful the table was right next to the door. When he heard movement on the stairway, all he had to do was wait for Reed to open the door, and he could sneak off to check out the house a bit more. Reed poked his head in.

"Arnie! Dinner's ready! Arnie?"

Keeping to the wall as Arnie saw his opportunity, he thought he was in the clear. He did not however, account for Reed's three foot long tail side-swiping him in front of Reed. His foot lightly pressed on Arnie's chest before looking down. The hyena giggled as he picked up the tiny horse.

"Trying to run, or did you just want a better view of everything?"

"Sorry. This is the first time I've become small and I wanted to explore."

"That's normal to feel. After they're done panicking, first time shirnkers are often filled with an overwhleming sense of curiousity. I can't even count how many first timers have snuck into my house for some cake."

As Reed carried his little date down the stairs, Arnie's curiousity was piqued again.

"So you've dealt with shrunken people before me?"

"Long before."

As Reed went to grab a few books to boost his seat as well as Arnie's he placed him on his shoulders, much like a parent does with their child.

"Who was the smallest person you've ever dealt with, and who's the biggest person you've shrunk?"

"Good ones! Smallest was a half inch fox neighbor that got shrunk by his angry ex-girlfriend and escaped to my place. I found him climbing my tail when I was watching some tv. The biggest I've ever shrunk had to be this macro bear from about two years ago. He was a solid hundred feet tall, and he wanted to step on my bakery."

"Wait, are you talking about the bear that vanished in the middle of the city?"

"Yes, but he didn't vanish. He said he wanted a free cake for his birthday. I gave him a normal sized single layer infused with what was probably my most powerful shrinking enchantment at the time."

Reed tried not to lose balance as he laughed. He started setting up the books in two seats.

"I swear I never saw someone shrink so fast with magic before. He ended up about three inches tall if I remember correctly."

"What happened to him?"

"Nothing much. He spent the day cleaning some parts of my bakery. In return for his size, he promised to never cause trouble in the city ever again."

"Is that why this city has the lowest macro rate?"

"No, that involved shrinking a lot more macros, but that's a story for another date. We have dinner to eat."

Reed picked Arnie off his shoulders and sat on a pillow, that was top of a number of books. After placing down a few plates, Reed sat on top of a smaller stack next to him. He took the cover off, letting the smell invade the horses nose. It was mini pepperoni pizza bagel bites. Reed grabbed a few, and handed him one.

"I was gonna feed you cheeseburgers, but you seemed a bit too small for them. I hope you don't mind."

"Oh I love it. It's like having one of those three minute pizzas."

Arnie was about halfway through his pizza when he turned to ask Reed for a drink of water. He watched Reed flip a bagel like a coin, and land it on his outstretched tongue. He gave a light applause at the feat.

"Nicely done Reed!"

"Why thank you Arnie. Would you like another mini bagel?"

"Oh no. I would like some water though."

With a small nod, Reed hopped off his stack of books. He reached into a cabinet, and pulled out a shot glass. He filled it with a bit of water, popped in a coffee stirrer, and placed it by Arnie. He took a quick sip, and went back to finishing the few bits of his mini bagel pizza.

"Thanks for the water and dinner, they were both amazing. What's next?"

The air went dry and static. Reed's hands began to glow a swirling mix of turqouise and orange. He turned to Arnie with a smile of simplicity.

"I'm gonna make a cake! Don't worry though, I promise you'll stay the same size."

The swirling energy moved from Reed's hands to the third empty plate. It shaped into a large glowing orb. As the sphere compressed, it took a more defined shape. The energy receded into Reed's hands as quickly as it appeared. The plate was no longer empty. It had a large slice of a chocolate cake. Arnie was picked up off his elevated seat and was sat next to the cake. Reed loomed over it, fork in hand.

"I don't have any tiny forks, so you'll have to use your hands. You start at the back of the slice, I'll start at the front, and we'll meet in the middle."

While Arnie tried to eat handful after handful of cake, Reed devoured his half of the slice in a matter of bites. He poked the still eating horse with the blunt end of his fork, pushing him down. He looked up to see the fork being in held in front of him, holding a piece of the cake. Picking it up off the fork, he ate it right up. They did this a couple times until Arnie leaned back, rubbing his stomach.

"Dessert was so amazing, and I am so full. This has bee nan interesting night for me."

Reed picked up Arnie and placed him on the floor after hopping down himself. He picked up the half-finished cake and walked over to the counter.

"Why don't you start walking to the living room while I put away this cake and some dishes? I've been meaning to send some cake to our friend Silver for some time. I just have to re-add the half we hate. Should only be a minute."

"Okay then. I'll be sitting in whatever I can reach."

As his date worked away at the cake, Arnie walked to the living room. The room was nice at a smaller size. A large widescreen tv that reminded him of a drive-in movie theater. The couch he once sat in, now lorded above him. Rather than try to reach it to no avail, a large red sphere caught his eye. It seemed as big as a house, if not bigger. It was a beanbag chair. Standing in front of it, Arnie tried to climb up and managed to get somewhat close to the center. He lost grip and fell upside down. The lack of support for anything made it quite hard to grip. The beanbag was large enough to make the horse sink in out of sight. He tried to move, but everything was too soft to get a holding of anything. He could still see though, which he could call a blessing, if it wasn't for a certain hyena saying the last thing he wanted to hear.

"Arnie? Where'd ya go good lookin'? I pulled out a beanbag for us to sit in."

Arnie's limited vision was blocked by Reed. Hia tail swung ominously above the beanbag chair. He wanted to call out to his fluffy date, but the upward view was a bit mesmerizing for the puny horse. Reed's backside descended upon the beanbag chair, pushing Arnie out onto the floor.

"Well well, seems someone wanted to get a little frisky."

Arnie was lifted off the ground, and was held up for a moment. He looked at Reed, and he looked back. He gave the small horse a kiss on the cheek. He felt the hyena's lips press against his small face. There was a moment of silence before he was laid down on his date's fluffy chest. It felt like the softest mattress.

"So what are we watching Reed?"

"Living Among Mites: The Shrinking. My favorite movie in the series, even if it's a prequel."

"Awesome! It's my second favorite to Living Among Mites: The Party. It reminds me of a party my buddy Marko told me he got shrunk at."

"Well then, let's get comfy and enjoy."

Reed clicked 'Play', and the movie began. Arnie shuffled around the chest fur a bit before a certain orange jacket was draped over him like a blanket. Now comfortable, he started to watch the movie, and tried to ignore the fact his date was now shirtless. The characters in the movie were just introduced and were all seen signing up for an experiment. He saw this part a dozen times already, but it was the details in the begining that intrigued him. When the lab scene came up, there were shrunken people moving around on the lab, but they were out of focus. Most people didn't see them, but they were hidden until halfway through the movie. The one downside of the great movie series was the sound effects. The shrinking device would go off intermittently throughout begining of the movie, and the sound it gave was similar to a fart. So whenever the shrinking device went off, Reed and Arnie would laugh very hard. Some time had passed, and the characters were all shrunk. Arnie was was watching them hide from a bus-sized ant, when he took a deep yawn. The last thing he wanted to do was fall asleep on this date, yet Reed's chest was soft and relaxing. He figured resting his head for a bit wouldn't matter.

Reed looked down at Arnie at the end of the movie, fast asleep. He smiled and turned off the movie. He put him on the couch, got up to put his jacket back on, then picked him back up. Holding him against his chest with one arm, he pulled out his phone to send a text.

Reed: He's out cold, come pick him up

Silver: Passed your house 5 minutes ago lol. Walking back.

Reed slid his phone back into his pocket, and started to collect Arnie's things. His original clothes were on the couch's arm rest, and everything he had in his pockets were in a bag next to them. Walking into the kitchen, he reached into a drawer, pulled out a piece of paper with his phone number on it, and added it to the bag. He looked down and smiled at his shrunken date again. When the door was knocked on, Reed walked over to open it.

"Hey shorty! I see you got an even shorter date there."

"The term is shrunken date, and hello to you too Silver."

Silver was a wingless dragon, whose name reflected the color of his scales. He was a good friend of Reed. He was one ofthe few people who got away with size jokes with Reed.

"Very funny Silver, now hold onto your friend while I grab some stuff for him and you."

As Silver crouched to hold his formerly giant friend in one hand against his chest, he chuckled softly. Reed came back with a plastic bag and a container with cake in it.

"Cake for me? You're so nice."

"Always to you I am. The bag has all of Arnie's stuff. Do you have a key to his place?"

"Yeah, for nights when he's out cold. Just like this."

"Ok then, just put him in bed, and open up the blinds. Exposure to sunlight should cause him to grow back if I did it right."

"If he becomes a macro, I'm blaming you."

"One time and you can never let it go."

As Silver walked outside, Reed waved.

"Night Silver! Make sure Arnie calls me. I wanna have a second round with him. Best blind date I've had in awhile."
