"I swear, it growled at me and then jumped at me!" Aouzy huffed, the grey ram dragging his friend along and pushing branches out of the way.

"Are you sure it wasn't some raccoon or something?" Satoshi, a lykoi cat with blue skin and black fur, ran along.

"It was something big, I swear!"

"I don't think it's a good idea to hunt down some big monster..."

"I just need you as a witness."

Aouzy was so determined to show his friend what he had found, disregarding Satoshi's worry.

"It was over here!" Aouzy stopped in front of a mossy rock.

Satoshi stared at the rock, then looked around it, but he could not see anything other than Aouzy. He put a paw on Aouzy's shoulder and sighed.

"Aouzy, there's nothing here but us."

"I swear it was right there.." Aouzy frowned, pointing at the rock.

Satoshi turned and walked away with his paws in his pockets. Aouzy looked back in disappointment. He stayed at the rock, waiting for it to come back before Satoshi was out of sight. The bushes rustled and two red eyes appeared.

Satoshi shivered, making his way out of the forest when he heard a yelp and then a bark. He cocked his head to see Aouzy crying and crawling toward him. Satoshi ran over to him and checked him out. He turned Aouzy over and witnessed a giant gash running down his left leg. Aouzy looked Satoshi in the eye with a quivering lip.

"Oh god, you're going to be all right." Satoshi said, picking his friend up with no pun intended.

"I.. I think I can stand.." Aouzy struggled, shaking and grunting to his feet. "S-see?" He wobbled, falling back down to his knees.

Satoshi picked him up and carried him out of the forest. He stumbled down the street, carrying his heavy friend. There was not a single person in sight. He set Aouzy down on his good leg and Aouzy wrapped his around Satoshi's neck. They limped down the street to Aouzy's house. As they turned the corner, they smacked into two girls, A pink pig with curly hair and a blue axolotl with brown bobbed hair and a pink sweater.

"Hey, watch where you're going!" Pinky rubbed snout.

"Sorry Pinky, I was taking your cousin home." Satoshi said, helping them up.

"Wh-what happened?" Mouse asked.

"My... leg... It... bite..." Aouzy wheezed.

"Oh my god! His leg!" Pinky squealed, pointing at his leg. 'Don't take him back home, take him to the hospital!"

"I uh... Don't know where it is.." Satoshi hid his neck.

"You lived here longer than me and you don't know where it is? Follow me, I'll take you there."

"I-I can g-go home m-m-myself P-pinky." Mouse stuttered as the rest ran off.

On there way, Pinky held Aouzy over her shoulder, as they were close to the hospital.

"So, can you tell me what happened?" Pinky asked Satoshi.

"Aouzy dragged me along to the forest at the end of the block because he wanted to show me something." He continued, "I didn't see anything so I left him alone and then he comes crawling to me with a giant wound on his leg."

"Poor guy.." Pinky sighed.

"I feel bad for letting him get attacked."

"Hey don't feel bad, nobody is at fault here." Pinky pat his back.

"If I was still there, it probably would've been me."

"It should have been neither of you." She looked up, "Oh, we're here."

Satoshi held the door for Pinky as she walked in and up to the counter with Aouzy still over her shoulder. He was passed out, so she turned him over and showed the receptionist his leg.

"Ah, I'll get a doctor right away." She turned and left her desk to go to a door in the back of the room. In a mere moment, a doctor appeared behind them and tapped Pinky on the shoulder.

"Right this way." He guided them.

The walked down the hall and into a small room with a table and a white cabinet. Pinky lay Aouzy on the table and stepped back for the doctor to inspect him. He held Aouzy leg in one paw and rubbed his chin with the other. He studied the bite and then started to work on it. He grabbed a cloth and wiped the blood off his leg, He then stitched it up, and covered it with a pad.

"It seems your friend was bit by a wolf, he'll be fine, just let him rest in bed for about a week."

"I'm glad it's nothing serious, thanks doctor." Pinky said.

"Want to keep him here or take him home?" He asked.

"i think It would be better to have him rest in his own room." She said, turning to Satoshi. "Got your phone? Call Dawn and see if she can give us a ride back."

Satoshi nodded as he reached into his pocket for his phone. "Hello, Dawn? We're at the hospital with Aouzy, can you come pick us up? Okay, thanks. I'll explain when you get here."

Satoshi looked down at Aouzy, he started to tear up in his eyes. He hugged his unconscious body tight, and then picked him up. He held Aouzy in his arms as he sat down on the bench outside.

"Isn't he too heavy for you? Why don't you hand him to me?" Pinky said, sitting down next to him.

"I don't want to leave his side again..." Satoshi cried.

Pinky consoled him, rubbing and patting his back. "He's going to be okay buddy, chill out." She smiled.

"Thanks Pinky, I sure hope so."

Satoshi wiped his tears and laid back like nothing happened. He stared at the rode, waiting in anticipation for Dawn to arrive. Satoshi was surprised to see Aouzy fidget and turn to his right side, facing Satoshi. He smiled knowing his friend was just sleeping, but frowned when he saw his wounded leg twitching.

"You're going to be fine.." He whispered into Aouzy's ear.

"Oh, she's here!" Pinky jumped up.

A beige car rolled up to the curb in front them. The door on the other side opened and out popped two long ears, then a tail with a red tuft at the end. Dawn walked around her car and up to Satoshi.

"Is he okay? What happened?" She knelt down, stroking Aouzy's wool.

"He got bit by a wolf, he's fine though, just a little shocked from it." Satoshi replied.

"Awww, poor Aouzy.." She said, kissing Aouzy's cheek. "I'll take him, you two get in first."

Satoshi nodded and handed Aouzy over to her. Pinky opened the right door and sat in the front, Satoshi went to the back and sat on the left. Dawn then put Aouzy next to Satoshi and buckled him in. Pinky sighed as they left the hospital.

The ride home was silent. Nobody wanted to speak up on what happened, they just wanted this incident to be in the past. As they arrived home, Dawn jumped out the door and grabbed Aouzy, taking him inside as fast as she could. Satoshi and Pinky got out and followed behind Dawn.

"Where were you?" Aouzy's little sister asked, her hands on her hips.

"We went to the hospital, Lunar. Nothing that important." Pinky slouched on the living room couch.

Satoshi looked at his feet as he climbed the stairs to Aouzy's room, he looked up to see Aouzy sleeping under his blankets with Dawn kneeling next to him. He knelt, opposite of Dawn and stared at him.

"You don't look worried." He said to Dawn.

"I know my Aouzy will be all right. I bet he's been through worse."

"Well, now that I think of it, he has. It's still hard seeing him get hurt."

"It's hard seeing anyone hurt, even you, and I don't know you well, Satoshi."

"What matters now is that he gets some rest, I'm not leaving his side again."

"I think it's sweet that you're staying with him. I have to go though, please take good care of him."

"I will, Dawn."

Dawn kissed Aouzy on the cheek and got up. She gave Satoshi a hug on the way out. Satoshi looked back at Aouzy, then crawled into bed, next to him. He felt weird doing so, but thought it was for the best. He was tired after all. Satoshi's tail rested on Aouzy's leg and Satoshi scooted closer, laying on his side.

He tossed and turned, dreaming what happened, but worse. He dreamt that he stuck with Aouzy when the wolf attacked him, but instead of Aouzy getting bit, he witnessed Aouzy being mauled and mangled. The wolf bit deep into his neck and threw him like a rag doll, it tore Aouzy's face apart and twisted his body. Satoshi looked down at Aouzy's corpse and screamed, waking up in a cold sweat.

"Have a bad dream?" Aouzy asked, rubbing Satoshi leg.

"Oh.. Yeah... N-nice to see you awake." Satoshi panted.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, are you?"

"Yeah, what happened?"

"We took you to a hospital while you were sleeping. I'm amazed you didn't wake up."

"Oh, because of my leg? That's funny, it feels fine."

"Well thank god for that, but the doctor told us to keep you in bed for a week."

"I do feel like I'm running a fever though, could you open the window for me?" Aouzy wiped his head.

"Sure thing." Satoshi hopped off the bed, opening Aouzy's window wide open.

Satoshi's tail came alive and did its usual routine of licking Aouzy in the face. Aouzy didn't fight it like he always did, he actually liked it instead. He giggled and licked Satoshi's tail back.

"Aouzy? What are you doing?" Satoshi turned around.

"I like it! I want to show my affection back."

"Oh... kay.." Satoshi sat back down on the bed.

Aouzy then started to do more odd things. He sat up and started scratching his ears and whining like a dog. His tongue pushed out of his mouth and stayed out.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm fine! Don't worry!" Aouzy panted.

"I'm not leaving your side.. I'm going to stay here until you get better."

"Thank you Satoshi, that's sweet of you." Aouzy hugged Satoshi, nuzzling his shoulder.

Satoshi smiled at Aouzy's affection, but cringed when Aouzy started to lick his face.

"Aouzy.. You're acting weird.."

"Don't I usually act like this?"

"No... You're starting to scare me.."

"Don't be scared" Aouzy panted, "I'm going to be fine!"

"I sure hope so.." Satoshi hugged him, "I think we should go back to sleep. It's getting late anyway."

"Um, sure!" Aouzy smiled, laying back down.

"What a day it's been..." Satoshi said as he drifted off.

If only it had been just a day, things were going to get worse that night. While Satoshi was sound asleep, Aouzy woke up feeling groggy. He got out of bed, forgetting about his injured leg and walked over to his window. He looked up to see the moon. Aouzy stared at it, feeling less groggy and more relaxed. Aouzy felt the urge to crouch on all fours, he had no idea what he was doing.

Satoshi rolled over, waking up with a falling feeling. He expected to roll onto Aouzy, but he wasn't there. He sat up, searching the room only to hear whimpering coming from the side of the bed.

"Aouzy?" He peeked over.

"H-help... It hurts.." Aouzy trembled.

"What's wrong, are you going to puke?"

"No.. My hooves.."

Satoshi got up and inspected Aouzy's hooves. He saw little hairs growing on them, and then before his very eyes they split and became soft. His hooves were now shaping into paws with giant claws. Tears fled down Aouzy's cheeks from the pain in his limbs. His legs shortened and raised up in the air. His fluffy tail grew to half of his size. Satoshi was astonished at what he was seeing. Aouzy arched his back, the wool covering his body fell off and he grew dark grey fur in replacement.

"What's... happening... to me...." Aouzy growled, the bandage and stitches fell off his leg.

"I'm dreaming, we're dreaming this. It's not happening!" Satoshi told himself.

His ears twitched and shortened from long bell shaped ears to pointy, thick and short ears. Aouzy's horns snapped and fell off of his head, thumping onto the floor. Aouzy leaked blood out of his mouth, his were teeth sharpening and piercing his gums. He screamed as his jaw extended forward and his snout followed, his face now being covered with fur.

"Aouzy?" Satoshi reached for his snout.

Aouzy's eyes turned from hazel to yellow, he snarled at Satoshi and snapped at him.

"Aouzy no, don't! Don't you recognize me?" Satoshi said, stepping back.

Aouzy approached him, growling and baring his teeth. Satoshi pleaded, trying to convince Aouzy not to attack him. Aouzy inched so close to Satoshi, he could smell his breath. He sniffed him and turned away. Satoshi, relieved, pulled himself up and watched Aouzy exit his room, shooting down the staircase.

"Oh no.." Satoshi gulped.

Pinky was ready to go to bed after a night of watching movies and pigging out when she saw a wolf dart into the kitchen.

"Sato are you trying to play a prank on me again? I know it's you." She sighed.

As soon as she entered the kitchen, she screamed and dropped the plate, smashing it on the floor. Satoshi ran down the stairs as quick as he could. Only to his dismay, he found Aouzy tearing up Pinky's body. He tried to pull him off of her but Aouzy managed to resist. Satoshi could see blood and bones, Pinky's face was ripped to shreds.

Satoshi knew the only way to get him off of her. He sprinted to the front door and swung it open. Aouzy raised his head. He sniffed the air and then ran right out the door, leaving Pinky alone. Satoshi looked down at Pinky, her snout was ripped off and there was blood spilling everywhere.

Satoshi ran out the door in search of Aouzy. He was no where in sight, but a scream coming from the corner of the street alerted Satoshi. He ran down the street as fast as he could. The closer he got to the screams, the more the air smelled like blood. He turned the corner and saw a small crowd standing in a circle. Satoshi pushed through the crowd, there he found Aouzy, attacking a white dog.

"Aaaaagh get it off of me!" She cried, her stomach was torn open.

Satoshi recognized the dog as his and Aouzy's bully, Mandy. He figured that maybe Aouzy did have a bit of control left inside of him. Aouzy did the same thing to Mandy, to what he did to Pinky. Nobody tried to help her, as if she was already dead. Satoshi stepped in and swatted at Aouzy with his claws, causing him to run off.

"We can't let that thing run wild!" One in the crowd shouted.

"I've got some guns at my place, let's go hunt it down!" A scruffy bearded goat announced, leading the crowd to his house.

"Oh no...." Satoshi's heart sank.

He had to get to Aouzy before the mob hunted him down. At the same time, he felt helpless. He stepped over Mandy's body and sulked on his way in Aouzy's direction. Tears ran down his face, he sniffled, trying not to cry out loud.

Satoshi heard a whisper, "Psst, hey over here!"

He looked around, trying to find the person who was whispering to him. He felt a tap on his shoulder which made his tail puff up and him jump in the air. He jerked his head to his side to see his old friend, Drew. Drew was a grey wolf with red streaks in his hair and a red stripe over his eye.

"Do you have a werewolf on your hands?" He asked.

"It's worse than that Drew. It's Aouzy."

"I can help you bring him back to normal, but it'll be very risky."

"You can? I'll do anything to get him back!"

"Come inside, quickly."

Satoshi joined Drew in his house. He sat on his couch while Drew ran down to his basement. Satoshi tapped his foot waiting for Drew to come back; time was fleeting.

"Okay, so I'm sure you know how to kill a werewolf for good, right?" Drew emerged from the basement with a revolver.

"Something silver right? And I'm not killing him!"

"Of course not, you're going to kill the wolf who cursed him." Drew handed him the revolver and a silver bullet.

"Are you sure this actually works? I thought that was just fiction." Satoshi inspected the gun, "Oh whatever, I saw my friend change before my eyes. It can't be that far-fetched."

"All right, you need to hurry before they get to him first!"

"Thank you, Drew." Satoshi nodded, running out the door.

He remembered which way Aouzy went, but wasn't sure where he was headed. He ran down the street in the direction Aouzy went. While he was wondering where he went, he came across a mangled body, then another up ahead. Satoshi giggled, thinking Aouzy left a trail of bodies just for him to follow. He soon realized that the bodies were on the same path that Aouzy took him, the forest.

Satoshi sped up and ran as fast as he could. He was close to the forest, he could smell the blood again. Now at the edge, he inched his way into the forest, making sure nobody would be alerted. He opened the gun and slid the bullet inside. His hands were shaking as he closed the gun.

"Aouzy? Where are you?" Satoshi whispered.

He heard a howl, and then a bark.

"It's in there!" A voice in the distance called.

"Shit.." Satoshi cussed as he ran deeper into the forest.

He heard a howl again, louder this time and followed by some growling. Satoshi hid behind a tree and checked over his shoulder. His eyes widened, seeing two wolves going at each other. He knew one of them was Aouzy and the other was the one who bit him. He tried to get closer but not interfere with the fight. Satoshi remembered that Aouzy still had his hair, he tried to get a shot of the wolf without him in the way.

He placed his finger on the trigger and raised the revolver with both paws. His paws trembled, he closed his eyes and pulled on the trigger tight. Satoshi heard a yelp and the gun blew him back, knocking his glasses off. He scrambled on his knees to where the fight was. He crawled up to a blurry body in his vision. When he got close, the body turned over.

"S-Sato.."

"Aouzy? Are you okay?" He hugged him.

"N-no.. someone shot me.."

'Oh dear god, I missed!' Satoshi thought. The bullet struck Aouzy, turning him back to normal, lethally.

"I'm so sorry.."

"Don't be... I killed all of those people, I couldn't control myself.."

"No you didn't, that wasn't you, I know you!" Satoshi cried onto Aouzy's chest.

"It's my fault this happened. I'm sorry I put you through this."

"Please don't go..."

"I don't think I'll make it..." He coughed blood, "thanks for being here for me, I knew you would..." He smiled, his eyes closing for the final time.

Satoshi stared at Aouzy's lifeless body, his chest felt like it was full of fire. He turned his head, the wolf was still there, staring him down.

"Do it, if he's going down, we all are."

The wolf snarled, taking no time to leap at Satoshi, tearing a chunk of flesh off of his shoulder. He kicked it off, and snatched Aouzy's body. Satoshi ran through the forest with Aouzy on his shoulder. The wolf chased him through the trees and branches, wanting more out of him. Satoshi stopped in front of a light, he cringed and made out the mob. He put Aouzy body down and whistled at the mob.

"You want wolves? You've got them..." Satoshi stood there, his face becoming a muzzle.
