#11 of Cloricia "Tex" Teixeira

Cloricia is beginning to feel like she should head back to Huntsville, but Teresa sees this as the perfect opportunity for her future.

October 12 2015: Making plans.

Having Teresa over was actually fun. I mean, I know that I had to sometimes take care of her with some money, but she actually handled it well. That counts for something I guess. Besides all that, it was nice to have an old friend to hang out with. I mean, I like my teammates and all, but Teresa...she makes me laugh, she lets me be silly, and....well, I haven't been thinking Josh since I talked with her. I consider that a good thing. I don't know...all I know is that out of all the craziness, Teresa has been the best thing to happen to me since I got back home.

One day, we decide to hang out at an old court that we used to play on. I don't know if Teresa can still play, but she said she wanted to play with me.

"I wanna see what the FBA has done to little Cloricia." She said as we walked on to the court.

"Oh stop it." I said.

"Girl, I remember that young coyote pup that used to play here and kick everyone's ass with her bare paws and those bracelets you used to wear."

"Yea," I said while smiling. "Times have changed though."

"Pfft! You sure girl? You be seeing the players they got now. The same kind of players that we used to handle back in high school."

"Well, that may be what it looks like, but it sure doesn't feel like that." I then started shooting some free throws. I made the first. Teresa passed it back to me.

"I'm just saying Cloricia. I see you're games and most of the time, you are tougher than all those other players."

I shot and made the next one. "Oh really?" I said. "Then why am I not the MVP like the great Nina Line?"

"Well, who says you can't be?"

"Mmhmm...you gonna flatter me some more or are we gonna play?"

Teresa just laughed and said. "Alright then, my ball first."

"Why your ball first?"

"Cause you just finished a season in the FBA and the only season I finished was that new TV show on FBC."

"Ha, okay fine." I said as I gave her the ball. She started dribbling towards me, her tail wagging silly as she came closer.

"Wendy Brown with the ball." Teresa called out. "She already has 20 points! Can she get 30?!"

I laughed a little bit, but I did not let her get past me. She then stepped back and went up for a shot, but I quickly blocked it and took the ball.

"Aaaaand, Cloricia with the epic block! That was her tenth block this game! She is incredible tonight!"

"Alright, alright." Teresa then went on defense and I started to dribble. "Let's see you try to get past me then."

I started dribbling and bounced it between my legs a few times. Teresa was still playing around, so I took advantage of it and bounced it behind my back and drove into the left. Easy layup.

"Damn girl." Said Teresa. "You got faster. Sheesh, I didn't even think that was possible."

"And you got slower." I said while chuckling a little. "But it's okay. At least I don't have to worry about you beating me anymore."

"Yea." She said while smiling. I passed her the ball, but then she just stood there, dribbling the ball to herself.

"Hey Tex?" She asked.

"Yea, what's up?" I said.

"How is it down there in Huntsville?"

"Eh, it's alright. The city is pretty cool...and the fans are nice....sometimes."

"....You ever get lonely?"

"Um....I guess not." I was thinking of all the times I spent with Josh, but...I was trying to get that out of my head.

"Well, you're going back soon right?" Teresa continued.

"Well, I guess I can't stay here forever...." I answered

"Well, what if....what if I went with you..."

"What do mean?"

"What if.....I worked for you?"

I was a bit shocked by what she said. A first I thought she was just joking, but she had her tail practically between her legs. She was serious.

"What do you mean by 'work for me'.?

"I can manage money, I'm a good negotiator, I'm a good cook, I'm good at advertising, hell, I could even clean for....please?"

"Whoa, calm yourself." I said. I was a bit surprised by this, but....she does need help...but can I trust her to practically be my agent? That seems like a bit too much.

"Um...not be rude Teresa, but this coming from the same girl that I found tipsy drunk about a week ago. What you're suggesting is not an easy job."

"I know...I know, but....I promise you, I can really help you out. I can wash your clothes, I can cook for, I can..."

"Teresa, please! Slow down.....why do you want to do this anyway."

"I just....I was just thinking that it would probably be a good idea to work for a friend, that's all. And it won't be forever if you don't want it to be. I could start a business or something while I work for and then I'll be back on my two paws. Please Tex?"

I took a deep breath and I thought really hard. Let's face it. I don't have an agent, I kind of do this whole FBA thing by myself....I could use some help. And maybe Teresa can actually do some good work for me. If anything, she can at least get a better job.

"...Okay....you can be my...my....assistant for a while okay. I'll pay you every month. Okay?"

She jumped for joy and hugged me tight.

"Ooooooh! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I won't let you down, I promise!"

"Okay, okay....so, we gonna finish this game or what?"

"Oh, sure." Teresa said as she ran back to the ball. She then picked it up and shot behind the three point line. It swished in. I looked at her in disbelief. She just smiled and said.

"Told ya I was a good negotiator."

"Ooooh, so you were just softening me up huh? Okay then." I said as I grabbed the ball again. "Let's play."
