Chapter 6

I grabbed my keys and hobbled through the front door. Jeremy followed through and locked the door. We walked past Helen's and Vicky's room just as the door opened. Helen popped out the door as screams of either pleasure or pain was getting louder and louder. "Why, are they doing the deed?" I questioned with a mischievous smile plastered across my face.

"Yes!" She replied sinisterly. "That is if the deed is getting really competitive over video games."

Helen stepped to the side, Jeremy immediately burst out laughing. I took a bit of time to spot what was going on, 'Damn, I really need to wear my glasses more.' I thought to myself.

I suddenly spotted something moving, I spotted Aaron's legs flailing on the sofa. We stepped in to see what was going on more clearly. The sight we were greeted with was almost unbelievable. Jeremy was lying on the sofa with Vicky sat pinning him down, trying to tamper with his remote. They were playing a racing game and Jeremy was second whilst Vicky was fifth. "Come on, it's my first time playing this game. Why won't you give me a chance." Vicky moaned pulling a pouty face.

"First time." blurted Jeremy. "This is your game, it said you have twenty hours of play time on this game."

"Well... I really like the title screen!" lied Vicky playfully. "Ohh... Hi guys."

Vicky jumped off of Jeremy, as Jeremy bolted himself vertically on the sofa. "So, how long have you been stood there?" questioned Aaron with a very embarrassed look on his face.

"Well, ever since Helen opened the door to leave." Jeremy responded with tears filling his eyes.

"Don't worry sis, we'll leave you and your 'Boyfriend' alone now." Helen stated teasingly.

Helen quickly closed the door before her sister could throw a pillow at her. "So, where are you two off to." asked Helen.

"Well, we are going shopping. Probably to Lakeside Shopping centre. "Jeremy responded, obviously knowing the local area a lot better than I.

"Cool, Mellany and I are going to watch the film called 'Your Pawfect'. Do you want to come?" Helen said excitedly at that prospect.

I butted in and replied, "We'd love to... But we have to go shopping for food and personal items."

I honestly felt bad for getting her excited and then saying no, and even though I'm gay. I'm not gay enough to watch chick flicks or romance films. Twilight is as far as I'm willing to go... Well maybe Fifty Shades of Grey, but that's for research, yes definitely research.

"Well, maybe we can get a coffee after. I'll text you." Helen said suddenly chirped up and full of energy.

Helen ran off leaving me and Jeremy alone again. We walked down to the car park and to my car. Jeremy offered to drive so I could rest my leg. I decided to take him up on that offer, my knight in shining sunglasses. As we left the campus, we came up to the gate. Surprisingly it was open. We saw some people working on it. From what we could see, one of the motors got stuck open so they can't close it. One guy directed us to go through so we drove down to the main road.

I couldn't help but feel nice pleasant emotions radiating off of the the unadulterated fields of grass and trees. Which just made you think of the English Countryside. I just thought to myself how much I'd love to retire to a ranch with plenty of animals and big fields of wheat and corn. I had so many plans for my future when I was growing up. You are constantly told how you can achieve anything which is true. But being raised up getting what you want, it just encourages you to give up when you have to put some effort in. It is amazing how what you do when you are young can shape the way you will grow up and develop into an adult. When I was younger I had wanted to be a bed tester. Then a Dictator and after that a benevolent leader. I had hopes of being a writer. But one thing I have always been good at was computers, and specifically at code. This is why I decided to do Computer Science as my main degree.

I was distracted by my thoughts by Jeremy flipping on the radio to the Rock station. Radio Gaga came on and I couldn't help but chuckle to myself. Jeremy started mouthing the words, but obviously to shy to sing along. I though started sing aloud, which got Jeremy to sing along as well. We both clapped at the correct times in sync with the song, which caused us to giggle like little school girls. As the song died down Jeremy spoke up, "I think we sound pretty damn epic if you ask me."

I laughed, which got me a loving smile off of Jeremy. We sang along with a few more songs. Well when I say 'sang', I more mean mumbled and hummed along with them.

Before I knew it we were pulling into a large shopping centre, two stories high and jammed full of shops, stands and restaurants. It wasn't overly hard to find a parking spot as most people were at work or school. Jeremy parked with a mildly excited expression, where as I was ecstatic as it was a whole new place to explore. The doors were grand and the pillars on either side had been painted with gold paint. The windows were etched with fancy patterns along the edges. It looked like something you would see in London. We walked in side, I could barely contain myself.
