How to Make Your Boyfriend and Your Best Friend Get Along
James has been my best friend since childhood, but whatever beef he has with my boyfriend Max is getting on my nerves. I want both of these guys in my life. I want to marry Max, so James is going to have to get over whatever problem he has with Max because he's going to be seeing a lot of him. So about a week after James revealed to everyone that he was a wolf, I decided to invite him over to Max's for a discussion about his issues with him, though I didn't tell him that was why I was inviting him. I asked James to come alone and I didn't invite Kuhlman either because I wanted it to be just the three of us. James agreed to come and Max agreed that this meeting was necessary. To keep things private, I decided to hold this meeting in Max's bedroom. When James arrived I asked him to sit next to Max on the edge of the bed while I sat down in a chair facing them.
"James, I asked you here today because I know you and Max don't get along and I want to know why", I asked
"What's the big deal? So what if we don't get along", James asked
"Well, I want you guys to get along because I want both of you in my life", I said
"Okay, but I already told you why I don't like him. He gets on my nerves", James said
"Well, you get on my nerves too", Max said, clearly insulted
"Whatever", James shouted
"Hey, calm down you guys! Let's get to the root of this. James, when did you first start getting annoyed by Max", I asked
"Hmmm....I think it was at a dinner party when we were kids. Max claimed I intentionally stepped on his tail and started crying. The truth is that it was an accident. I didn't even know he was there until I heard him scream 'Ouch'! Max didn't believe me and that really irritated me and left a bad impression", James said
"Yeah right", Max said
"It's true, I swear it was an accident", James said
I could tell by the look in his eyes that he really meant it. I didn't see it happen, but I knew James was telling the truth.
"He's telling the truth Max", I said
"How do you know", Max asked me
"Because I know James better than anybody else in this room and I know when he is telling the truth", I said firmly
"Well alright. I forgive you James, but there's gotta be something more to your dislike of me than that", My foxy said
"You know I get mad very easily", James said
"You never used to. You were a lot calmer back in the day. You changed after that girl dumped you", I said
"I was so pissed when I found out she never loved me that I swore off love for years until I met Georgia", James said
"So you're mad at me because some girl who I never even met broke your heart", Max asked
"No, I was mad at the world after that happened. On top of that, my dad started going nuts and I had to deal with that too. I guess I just let my anger get to me. All that bad stuff happened years ago, but I guess it had a long lasting effect on my personality", James said
"It makes sense, but I don't like it when you lash out at me", Max said
"I'm sorry", James said
"Do you mean it", Max asked
"Yes I mean it. Can I ask you a question", James said
"Sure", Max said
"Why do you keep asking me to sell my island to you", James asked
"Because I'm very persistent when it comes to something I want. I just thought it would be nice to own it since it's so close. I can see it when I look outside the window in my office", Max said
"True, you have been very persistent, but after hearing it so many times I get irritated", James said
"I'm sorry", Max said, whimpering
"It's okay. I still won't give you my island though", James said
"Alright", Max said, looking disappointed
"You see? We can settle our differences without yelling at each other. Now do you promise to be nice to each other", I asked
"I promise", Max said
"Ditto", James said
"Now give each other a hug", I said
"What", James said, looking confused as hell. Max looked just as confused.
"It's a nice gesture", I said
Max and James then hugged. It was kind of awkward, but hey at least they're not fighting anymore. Max then came over to me and gave me a hug and whispered into my ear about rewarding me for helping to solve things between him and James. I could tell my foxy was getting horny, so I asked James if Max and I could be alone.
"Sure", James said giving me a knowing wink.
He went back home while Max and I had some fun.
