Background: Lesley Elvanis was born to a well-to-do upper-middle class family and enjoyed the finer things in life. However, as he grew up, he quickly grew tired of the 'finer things' and sought things that were far more exciting. He came into his superpowers when he was just fourteen years of age when he was tested and found to possess superpowers. He was taken under the wing of the Texan superhero team, the Guardian Rangers. However, when his powers were fully discovered, he was ridiculed and laughed out of the team.

Lesley had the power to control lifts and elevators. At any one time, he could cause any elevator/lift to stall or move in any direction he wished. His peers thought it was a rather pathetic power. This turned Lesley bitter and eventually, he decided to turn his powers to villainy in an attempt to get back at those that had offered him hope and then snatched it away.

He rebranded himself as 'Liftramo, Lord of Lifts and Emperor of Elevators'. His first crime was in the form of an attempted bank robbery where he purposefully stalled the arrival of reinforcements via lift with his powers. Sadly, he was neither trained in the use of firearms nor did he take into account the fact that people could still very well take the stairs. His arrest let to two years in prison where he met fellow supervillains, Allusion and the Jester. The twisted mastermind that is Allusion formulated a plan to make Liftramo not only a patsy but also to make use of his powers. The Jester's sick mind planted the seed of darkness in Liftramo and inspired him to take his elevator-control powers to a new level.

When all three escaped, Liftramo refined his powers to the point where he could override elevator safety protocols and cause entire lift cables to snap. His powers rapidly evolved to the point where he could telekinetically control any lift from any building even if it wasn't connected to a system. So long as it was defined as an 'elevator', he could control it. When he, Allusion and the Jester made their reappearance, he caused mass devastation across Austin by ripping elevators right out of buildings, some with people still inside, and sending them careening into the charging superheroes. While he was eventually defeated, he caused the death of forty-seven people and was classed as a Threat 7 Villain - devastating powers but a follower and not a true mastermind.

During his incarceration, he stewed with the lust for vengeance and decided to go solo. When a breakout was staged in Texan Anti-Superhero Penitentiary, he followed everyone out but was momentarily stalled when a feral cat, of all things, became trapped inside a lift. Showing compassion that he was always capable of, Liftramo saved the cat and took her with him, naming her Ellie. Through his crime career, he was always seen with Ellie.

His career as a supervillain came to an end when the Jester attacked a Super Pet Warehouse store for some ridiculous reason. Liftramo was on site disguised as a regular man to buy stocks for Ellie when the Jester attacked. Seeing dozens of feral cats and dogs get killed by the mad supervillain drove Liftramo to strike back. Sadly, against the Jester's goons and the fact that Super Pet Warehouse sat in a rather remote area and only had two lifts, he was severely outgunned. Liftramo was gunned down and killed but his interference gave time for over a hundred patrons time to escape and the Rangers to arrive and stop the Jester.

That would ordinarily be the end of Liftramo's career but Bastet, the Egyptian Cat Goddess, took pity on him and recognised his love for cats. So she took him from the wings of Arcturus the Hound of Death and petitioned for his soul. The Shin-Kami was curious about Liftramo's fate but was no so easily swayed. As an argument between the Gods - particularly of different pantheons - was not desirable, the Androgynous God of Death called upon a 'consultant'. L4 the Liaison of Life came into the fray and offered her advice.

Liftramo was then given a chance to redeem himself but only in ethereal form - unseen by all save for those sensitive to the astral plain - and only equipped with his existing powers. He had to 1000 good deeds and in doing so, would be granted godhood.

Liftramo took the offer and over the next seven years, performed various good deeds using only his powers. He came into contact with various spirit mediums, one being a cat by the name of Selena Felis. They partnered up to solve various crimes with Liftramo not only using his ethereal shape to spy on people but his powers also to assist Selena where he could. After this thousandth good deed, Liftramo could not simply leave Selena and stayed by her side until she died of natural causes.

During their tenure together, Selena did speak often of Liftramo and her uncanny ability to solve so many crimes save so many people convinced some people that she was indeed guided by a guardian spirit. Since Liftramo had rejected the ascension to godhood at that point, he remained a spirit while his love, Selena, went with Arcturus to Paradise. This would have turned him bitter once more but Selena told him just to keep doing good deeds in her memory and that one day they would be together.

Liftramo continued to do as she wished and the small number of people who took him to be a guardian spirit eventually twisted his legend from spirit to deity. The cult of The Great Liftramo quickly arose and you can generally tell if someone worships this rather unique pantheon if, for instance, they get into an elevator and the lift goes straight to their floor and they proclaim 'All Hail Liftramo!'. As ridiculous as it sounds, the fact that the cult actually god thousands of worshipers convinced the other gods to grant Liftramo his own divine portfolio.

Liftramo literally began the Lord of Lifts and Emperor of Elevators and now sits in his divine domain known as the 'Endless Tower'. Selena now lives beside him as does Ellie. He now exists in the same pantheon as other gods such as Freespacius, former superhero turned deity, God of Car Parks, Trafficanix, God of Traffic and Pedestrians and Gorgantomax, God of Ingantalinaxis - don't ask.
