#37 of Pokemon Journey to another world

Journey to Another World 3 Ch. 10 Along the way down the stairs of the center, I came to the conclusion that something needed to be done with these two girls. Otherwise things were going to become dicey between the two of them. Since both girls were walking down the stairs with an arm clutched tightly against their chests. Now to some people, this would cause them to blush quite heavily, but for me, it was almost like being caught with the choice of the frying pan or the deep fryer. Looking up to the ceiling as we stepped off the last stair, ‘No matter which girl I decide to be with, I'm dead either way.' I took a long sigh then was about to continue walking towards the exit when the girls decided to become glued to the floor. "Ack. What's wrong girls?" I looked at each of them in turn and saw that they both were looking at something towards the exit of the center, with the look that wasn't pleased at what they saw. When I looked over to the exit I noticed a young man leaning against the frame of the doors, with his head downcast. I just looked at him for a while until he finally looked up at me smirked. "It's about time that you came down from your room." He said in an uncaring kind of tone. With that he stood up and walked over to us. Only to stop a few feet away from us, then leaned over and took a long look at Rena. Rena obviously didn't like the man looking at her, and had cowered behind me a little, while grabbing onto my arm a little tighter. Once he was done with his look he stood upright again and smirked towards me. "By the look of your Lucario. I'd say that you helped her through her heat just fine yesterday." I looked down at Rena again to see that she had an obvious snarling look on her muzzle with a little growl under her breath. Obviously not pleased by either being looked at by a man that had nearly caused her a great deal of emotional pain, or what he said. Not knowing what I could do to solve the situation I turned back to him. "And how did you know that?" I asked him, but realized my mistake just as I finished saying that. "I could probably go into a long speech about that, but...I wont." He turned away from us, took a few steps away, and lifted a finger to wiggle it in the air. "But I think the most obvious answer to that question..." He looked over at his shoulder with a smug look in his eye. "Would be that howling that practically everyone in the center heard last night." He smirked at me. A deep blush spread across my face as I looked down at Rena, to see that she too had a deep blush under her fur. Though it was pretty hard to see under the blue and black fur on her muzzle. But then something caught in the back of my mind as I stepped out of the girls grasps and stood up next to the guy. "Wait a minute. I don't seem to recall you getting a room at the center last night." I said as I poked him in the chest. "So how do you know that I helped her with her heat last...." Just then a deep smirk appeared on his face again as I realized my mistake once again. "Because I just milked it from you right now." He said in a deep satisfied voice. ‘Damn it. I walked right into that one too.' I looked back at the girls and could see that they both were looking at the ground. Then a smirk appeared on my face, that I hid from him. ‘At least he doesn't know how I helped Rena with her heat.' So I slowly turned and looked back at him with a neutral look on my face. "Ya so what? My Lucario was in need of relief from her heat. And being the concerned, loving, and caring trainer that I am, I helped her through it." He walked over to me and poked me in the chest. "And exactly how did you help her with her heat I wonder?" He said again in an accusing voice, as he looked down my body. "And what exactly are you implying with that accusation!?" I said in a menacing voice. Trying to get my point across that if he said the wrong thing. "Oh don't worry." He said with a even bigger smile on his face. "I wont bother telling anybody about what you did to your Lucario, as long as you...." He didn't get a chance to finish what he said as I started to laugh quite loudly, then abruptly stopped and grabbed him by the scruff of his shirt and pushed him backwards out the doors. "Come on girls. This conversation isn't right for normal people to overhear." I said without looking back at them and all the other people who were now staring at our display. * * *

  • * * "If there is anything I have learned about Donovin, it is not to make him angry." Jenavee said in a slight disturbed voice. "You said it." Rena said. "I have witnessed that first hand." Both girls started walking after the two men while still talking to each other. "I still get the shivers when I look at his blood shot eyes." She looked forward at her trainer/mate still pushing the boy out the door, then turned to Jenavee. "I think that once he has dealt with him that we should recommend that he get some glasses for his eyes." "At least until his eyes turn back to normal." To which both the girls nodded to each other, then followed the two men out the doors. * * *

  • * * I lifted him a little off his feet, then slam him against a tree. Effectively making him see stars for a moment before he shakes it off then looks at me with an obvious scared look on his face. "I thought that you would have realized that I don't take kindly to threats." As I slowly bring around a smaller knife and made sure that he saw it. "Since you've been with team Galactic for a while, you must have heard about the person who's been going around, cutting off their operatives heads." He begins to shake. "I...I knew that you were carrying around a sword. But...I...I had no idea that you were..." He said in a scared voice, as he probably just realized what was in store for him. "That's right. I'm the guy that's been going around and doing those things." I pulled him off the tree and threw him face first into the dirt, then knelt down so that my knee was right by his head and I was looking down at him a little closer. "And here you are, trying to blackmail the guy that's been doing these things. Not to mention that, but the guy who also returned your Pokemon to you. Not a very smart thing to do." He slowly pushes himself up, only to spit out some dirt that must have gotten into his mouth. Then turns himself around to flop down on his back, so that he's looking up at me with a few scratches on his face. "Now you tell me who's the smart one." He wipes his face with his arm then looks up at me. "Alright, you made your point." He takes a few deep breaths then sits up. "I was just thinking that you would be a person that I could blackmail into doing something for me." I shake my head. "You know, their are better ways to ask someone for something, than to try and blackmail them." I felt a paw and a hand lightly touch either side of my shoulders. I look up to see that both my girls are sanding over me. I place my hands on theirs and smile up to them. Looking back to the boy I can see that he's calmed down a bit. "So when are you going to tell me what you want of me?" "But I thought that you were going to kill me. Since I worked for Team Galactic." To which I shook my head. "Key word...worked. As in past tense." I stood up and offered him a right hand up to which he accepted, and I pulled him up. "People make mistakes all the time. That doesn't mean that they shouldn't be forgiven for said deeds." I took the dagger and waved it in front of his face. "Just don't push it." To which he nods. "I guess now that I think about it for a minute, it almost seems silly that I tried to blackmail you over it." I just waited for him to stop rambling. "Seeing on how good you are with your sword, I have to wonder if your any good at Pokemon battles?" I was about to say a smart remark when Jenavee patted my shoulder. ‘Just hear him out.' She said mentally to me. "What I'm really saying is..." He looked a little nervous. "Would you be my rival..." He said as he bowed to me when he finished what he said. "Pull...ease." He pleaded with me. I looked back at the two girls. ‘I thought that you had to be on equal terms to be a rival.' Jenavee said to me in a confused voice. ‘That is right. And from what I can see, he does not even come close to your abilities with a sword.' Rena added in on her own personal telepathic ability. ‘Your both right, but then again...' I looked down at him, still bowing towards us. ‘We don't know how good he is at Pokemon battles.' I looked over my shoulder at the two girls. ‘He might be better than us, in that regard.' Which got both girls to look long and hard at each other. After a few moments they finally nodded to me and I smiled. "I don't know what you have to offer in the way of a, ‘RIVAL', but if you feel that strongly about it..." I thought for a moment more. ‘This might not be a bad idea.' "Then...I...guess...so." He leapt up and quickly began to shake my hand. "Oh thank you...thank you...thank you. You don't know how much this means to me." I could see him start to tear up. "Ever since I left home, I haven't had a real challenge since I decided that the only thing to challenge me, was the master quest." He let my hands go and walked away then turned around to face me again. "Now I have a challenge on and off the Pokemon battle field." He said as he pointed to my knife in my free hand. "I know that you can whop me at a sword fight, but what about a Pokemon battle?" He emphasized with pulling off a Poke-ball from his belt, tossed it up into the air, snatched it out of the air when it arced, then held it out towards us. Just then, both girls jumped in front of me and took up their fighting stances. Jenavee with her finger tips together in front of her chest and a fierce look in her eyes, and Rena with a typical karate stance. "Since you challenged me, I think it only fair that I decide on the rules." "Wait what?" He nearly drops the ball that he'd been holding, as his arms flop to his sides. "That's not..." I hold up a hand, effectively silencing him. "This shall be a two Pokemon battle each, no time limit. One Pokemon facing off against another Pokemon at a time." "Oh...Well, I guess that's ok. Your Gardevoir or Lucario against...." He released his first Pokemon which materialized as the Mightyena. "My Mightyena, Fenraer." Then in unison "Let's get it on." I had to think fast as I remembered that Jenavee had a disadvantage to dark type moves, I was unsure as to what attacks Kit knew, but then there was Rena. She of course knew fighting moves, which would be the type advantage here. ‘How about it Rena? Think your up to taking down this doggy?' I asked her mentally, then looked over at her. She had sort of annoyed expression on her face. ‘And what is that supposed to mean? I am after all, by your definition I am a dog type as well.' She then stood up and placed her hands on her hips to give me a scowling look. "Um wait...hold on. I didn't mean it like..." To which she just started laughing. "You are so uptight some times." She giggled, then walked over and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Of course I will battle that, ‘D O G'." She turned away from me to look towards the other trainer and gave them a scowling look, especially at the dog. "After all, that dog was the one that attacked you so long ago. I think it is only right that I repay him for that." Which really surprised me. ‘How did she know about that?' I looked back at Jenavee and she nodded to me. ‘That is right Donovin. I told her...nearly...everything.' She spoke telepathy to me. ‘But we will discuss this later. Right now, you need to concentrate.' She pointed towards where the other person was standing and I could see him giving some sort of orders to his Mightyena that was sitting on hit's haunches. Once he was done the dog gave him a quick lick, turned to Rena, gave her a deep snarl, then slowly stepped out to the middle of the field. "This is it. Ok Rena lets get our battle on." "Now you are talking." She turned around and faced towards the two. "And this time, I promise to follow your commands. Without the interruptions of my previous heat." With that I gave her a quick rub on the head plus a little pat on the shoulder, then quickly ran back 30 feet or so to begin our match. "I'm glad to see that your finally going to face me. Now if your done chatting with your Lucario. Lets get this battle kicked off!" He yelled out the last bit. Then both our Pokemon quickly rushed each other and clashed.
