Hello and welcome to the first Yiffy story I have ever written. I'm new at this so I hope you enjoy my first attempt at a Yiffy story.

Fourth bell rang...

What joy...

She hugged her books to her chest and began the trek through the crowded hallways toward her destination, the commons. As if it wasn't enough that she was in school, pretty much every girl in the school looked to her to release their anger and frustration upon. From an outsiders view she seemed to have put this upon herself, she constantly wore a long sleeved black hoodie with black pants so long and wide it was rare to ever see her feet. Balanced upon her nose covering her deep brown eyes she wore a pair of shaded sunglasses, every bat had some kind of eye problems and she just happened to be farsighted.

From her introspection, they must know...she had to hide.

For a bat she was quite different. Her colors were beautiful; fine silver for her body fur while her head fur was made of what could be easily confused with pure white snow. However her wings, at least what should be wings, were just normal arms without any shred of her ancestral flight giving limbs. That however wasn't the end of her problems, her feet were unlike either of her pure blood parents. They had taken a step backward in fur evolution and her feet resembled the hand-like claws of her ancestors.

Her parents loved her, they were those to give unconditional love after five litters, but they still felt something was wrong with their daughter. To be honest in some glances from her mother she would catch a look of confusion and from her father came a flash of pity. It hurt her to have this effect on her family, all of her brothers and sisters would occasionally joke with her and call her a weirdo, but they loved her no matter what.

It was other furs that hurt her the most. When she was little the other furs would point and laugh at the bat freak that couldn't fly. The bat freak with the weird feet. The bat freak...that was what she was. She hid everything about herself at every opportunity, she rarely spoke in class and when she did it was so soft the teacher would have to strain their ears to hear her. She didn't do any extracurricular activities, she had no job, no hobbies, she hid in dark and baggy clothes and hid her face as much as she could with her head fur, and she just wanted to stay below everyone's radar.

Then why did everyone make fun of her?

No matter what a freak was a freak to them. They remembered calling her the name, laughing at her, it just carried on until now. Just weeks until the end of her junior year of high school and still no friends to talk to, still no one to confide in except her older sisters who were up and out in the world. Life just sucked...

She sat at her table, the one in the far back away from any and every fur in the entire school. She liked it back here, almost completely blending in with the wall. No one bothered her out here unless they meant it. It was nice...oh no what now?

Approaching her were three cheerleaders, two cats and one rabbit. One cat was a nice calico while the other, the leader, was a voluptuous pitch black feline temptress. The rabbit was an ivory white color and she was the only one holding a tray of food, a large salad with red sauce. Oh no not again...

The black cat grinned devilishly and laid her paw on the table right on top of the bat girls homework. "Hey freak, can you guess what's white, silver, black, green, and red all over?" The bat girl shook her head already knowing what was going to happen. The bunny pulled they salad filled tray back, ready to smash it into the bat girls face while the bat girl just closed her eyes and cringed, wishing it was over already.

When nothing happened she opened her eyes to see both the black and calico cat staring wide eyed at the bunny who covered her mouth in fear. Standing with the tray of salad in his hand was a tall black wolf, his shaggy head fur as red as fresh blood, and his bright golden eyes glaring while he grinned. "May I ask what's going on here?" asked the wolf in a dangerous growl.

The bat girl stared over her sunglasses speechless, she had heard of this fur before...

Standing a good six and a half feet tall was this black wolf, his baggy black shorts coming below his knees while he wore nothing on his feet. Around his waist was a chain belt with a buckle shaped like a coffin. He wore a slightly baggy sleeveless shirt with a blood red barbed wire twist on his chest.

On each of his arms, pure white against the midnight black fur, he had one tattoo. On his upper right arm was an image of a hooded figure with a wicked scythe, staring into nothingness while it's scythe dangled from it's boney paws. On the upper portion of his left arm was a large and sharp letter seven, wrapped around it and securing to the arm were two barbed wire chains.

This was the most feared fur in the entire school, he was rumored to have killed nine furs before and only got off because he swore to kill everyone on the jury if they didn't let him go scott free. Up until this point she had only seen him once or twice, every time she heard furs next to her whispering to each other that they didn't want to die.

"W-w-we..." the black cat girl began but the wolf stopped her with a single paw gesture. "Ah, ah, ah, don't need to hear it. Get the hell out of my face before I make you have nightmares so bad that you'll never sleep again," the wolf said calmly with a dark grin. The cheerleaders took off in three blurs and the table was back to peace and quiet.

"Well that was entertaining," said the wolf with a grin and just like that he seated himself across the table from the now terrified bat girl. "W-what are you doing?" the bat girl asked nervously as the wolf slid over the tray of salad. "Feeding you apparently, you like salad right? Besides it's not like anyone else wants me at their table," the wolf said with a grin as he held out his paw.

"The name's Cyrus," the wolf said as the bat girl recoiled from the inky black paw. "Uh...I'm Sonya," Sonya said with a soft whisper still curled in her little ball. Cyrus grinned and retracted his paw saying, "I see, still a little shy." Sonya looked away and down, now he was going to pick on her she was sure of it. "Could you please stop doing that?" Cyrus asked while Sonya only sunk lower in her seat.

"What, existing? I've already got a lot of requests for that," Sonya said softly while Cyrus shook his head and said, "No, that. This, 'the ignorant assholes hate me so I'm going into my own little bubble', thing." Sonya blinked, what was he talking about. "Tell me what's so bad that everyone talks shit about you all the time," Cyrus said just before he was interrupted by a very large brown bear at the table.

"Hey wolf shit," growled the bear, all the while the black cat grinned mercilessly behind him. "Excuse me one second," Cyrus said with a smile as he stood and faced the bear. "Yes?" Cyrus asked with a raised eyebrow while the bear clenched it's paws. "I heard you were talkin shit to my girl. What you got to say about it?" the bear asked with a dark growl to accentuate his point.

Cyrus just shrugged and said, "Well she goes and terrorizes people just because her boyfriend of the week didn't screw her right the other day. Seemed right to get her back from my point of view." The cat hissed while the bear snarled, "Did you just call my girl a slut!" Cyrus nodded his head and said, "Yes, do you have a hearing problem?"

Whether or not she was conscious of it Sonya giggled slightly, this was funny to watch. Especially since it was her new...friend? They had only met two seconds ago and she barely talked to him but...he was a lot nicer to her than anyone before. She mentally declared him her friend and continued to watch the show...then it got ugly.

The bear growled and without warning he reared back ready to launch a punch. Cyrus watched in mild amusement while the bears slow moving paw came at his face ready to deal some damage. The bears fist connected with Cyrus's muzzle sending the wolf into a spin. The bear grinned until he realized the wolf wasn't spinning from his punch.

Without a second thought Cyrus thrust his right foot into the bears gut, his spin adding to the attacks force. The bear stumbled back and held his gut, damn that hurt from a stupid wolf! The bear looked up only to see the black wolf was gone. Feeling a powerful force drop on the back of his neck he fell to the ground, knocked into another world by a pair of powerful wolf paws.

Cyrus split his two paws apart and put them at his side, it was too easy to fool bears. Walking up to the cat with a dark growl he said, "You sic any other of your boy toys on me and they'll all end up like care bear over there. Got it?" The black cat nodded frantically seconds before she sent a dark glare over at Sonya, she was planning something horrible for the bat girl. She WAS the girls punching bag after all...Sonya looked down knowing full well she was in for hell.

"Oh yeah, and if I hear ANYTHING about you harassing Sonya, or if I hear ANY rumors spread by you about her, then you join the stiffs in the morgue. We understand each other right?" Cyrus said with a superior smirk. Sonya's head shot up and her large silver ears perked, what did he just say? The black cat glared at Cyrus and before she could open her mouth his arm shot out and clamped it shut with his paw. "I'm her guardian from now on. You piss her off and you piss me off," Cyrus said as he pushed the cat away with enough force that she fell on her ass in a puddle of soda.

Cyrus smiled and plopped down in the seat across from Sonya, her mouth agape and her eyes wide. Cyrus looked at her, grinned, then reached over the table putting his paw under her chin and lifting it up closing it soundly. "I knew bats ate bugs but I got you a salad," Cyrus said with a smile as he pulled his paw back from the unknowingly blushing bat girl.

Sonya nibbled at her salad, too embarrassed to even ask him what he meant about proclaiming himself her guardian. Hell her face was still a little red under her fur from the blush. Cyrus smirked as he reached into his pocket and brought out a package of jerky, how he hated school food with a passion. "So Sonya, you never got a chance to answer my question," Cyrus said as he swallowed a long strip of the flavored meat product. Thank god there were those food animals...what were they called again? Damn he forgot...could have sworn it began with an H.

Sonya looked up at him in confusion, and then remembered his question as she stared into his molten gold eyes. Sonya stayed quiet, how to get out of answering the question. If she told him he'd just call her a freak and pick on her too. What was she going to do to keep her friend. Cyrus sat there, watching as she poked into the salad her eyes unfocused and staring into space. Before he could ask her another question the bell for lunch rang loud and clear. "Damn, lunch's over," Cyrus said as Sonya woke from her catatonic state.

"See you at lunch tomorrow?" Cyrus asked with a smile as he got up from the table. Sonya nodded as she gathered her things, "yeah." Cyrus grinned and said, "remember, if anyone bugs you just tell me. They'll be on their knees begging for your forgiveness the next day." Cyrus walked off into the crowd, a small pocket forming just for him as he walked through the masses.

The day went well of Sonya, almost every fur acted afraid of her and any fur who grinned at her evilly would have a friend nearby look at Sonya pleadingly and then pull the Cheshire fur away, most likely to tell her what Cyrus had stated. Sonya had not caught a single bit of crap during the rest of the day, she felt nice and...well happy in her bubble of no one bothering her. By this point in any other day she would have had to use the extra clothes she kept in her locker too.

At the end of the day Sonya stood before her locker and did a mental check of everything she needed to bring home, she had to grab a few books for homework. "Boo!" came a voice right behind her ear making her jump into whoever had just scared her into a near heart attack. She fell into a strong chest, and two black furry arms wrapped themselves around her.

"Gotcha," Cyrus said with a laugh as Sonya gulped, she had never been this close to a boy. Cyrus let her go feeling her body tense in his grasp. 'She must not like contact yet,' Cyrus thought as he leaned against the lockers and put his hands in his pockets. 'W-what was that...' Sonya thought, her heart going a thousand miles an hour and her mind a bit fuzzy.

"How was school?" Cyrus asked with a smirk as Sonya turned to him, her hair easily hiding her lightly blushing face. Cyrus blinked and said, "Any reason you're reminding me of a ghost?" Sonya giggled lightly and said, "School was fine. Thank you." Cyrus grinned and said, "No problem. I hate seeing these assholes picking on someone who's actually going to be something in the future unlike themselves. But, can you do something for me?"

Sonya looked up at him confused with a slight cocking of her head, what did he want for this excellent service? Cyrus reached up and with a flick of his wrist her hair parted and her face was exposed to the world. "There you go, gotta show off that pretty face now," Cyrus said with a grin as Sonya blushed and swiftly began to get her necessities from her locker.

"Mind if I ask how you get home?" Cyrus asked, clicking his claws against the locker at his back. Sonya crouched down and zipped up her bag saying, "I walk." Cyrus chuckled a bit and said, "want a ride?" Sonya stood up and shook her head but Cyrus interrupted her protest. "No, scratch that, I insist you take a ride. What kind of guardian would I be if I let you walk home?" Cyrus said as he grabbed her paw and began dragging her through the halls.

Sonya blushed as she held her back pack over her shoulder with one paw and the other...was in the surprisingly warm and soft paw of Cyrus. She smiled and just for a moment she enjoyed the warmth. This had to be the first fur beside her family that showed her any kind of warmth. Everyone else was cold or they just didn't pay attention to her.

This was nice to have someone...especially this male wolf, pay attention to her with such care. This couldn't be the same wolf who killed nine furs from the rumors. He was very nice, not bad in conversation, looked pretty handsome. Sonya blushed as she thought that, she was only a mammal after all.

Sonya suddenly bumped into something and coming back to earth she realized that it was Cyrus's back. "here we are," Cyrus said with a laugh as he waved to his car. Sonya backed up and then stared in awe at the car, it had to be a brand new Axis! One of the most expensive and exclusive cars on the market, and it even had the LED protection label on the side window. This car was expensive...and well protected from theft.

"Wow," Sonya whispered while Cyrus chuckled a bit. "I didn't want this car to be honest," Cyrus said as he opened the door and held it for Sonya. Sonya looked at him questioningly, "What did you want then?" This had to be the best car on the market right now. Cyrus went to his side, opened the door and sat down while he said, "A hybrid." Sonya blinked and asked quite innocently, "Why?"

Cyrus put the key in the keyhole and turned it earning a few skips then a deafening roar from the engine, "Too damn loud." Sonya smiled lightly and Cyrus put the car in gear, screeching his tires and taking off from the damned place known as school.

"So are you going to answer my question or not?" Cyrus asked as he stared out on the road, his right paw on the wheel while his other hung lazily on the door. "Question?" Sonya asked, to be honest she had been having such a good day that she had forgotten completely about it. Cyrus rolled his eyes and said, "yeah you know. What is so bad that everyone picks on you like that?"

Sonya sighed and looked out the window, why was he so persistent in this question. "I understand if you don't want to tell me but..." Cyrus said trailing off trying to find the right words. "Don't take offense to this but to be honest I think you're just encouraging those morons. Being quiet and taking the abuse isn't going to help all that much. They'll keep calling you a freak until you stand up and do something about it..." Cyrus said softly so as to not offend the girl.

Sonya looked away and said a little bitterly, "you know why they call me a freak? I'm a bat...and I don't have wings. I'm a genetic mistake..." Thank god Cyrus was on a back road because he suddenly slammed on the breaks and came to a screeching halt in the middle of the street. "Wait, wait, wait. Did I just hear this right? They've been making your life a living hell because you're a bat...and you don't have wings?" Cyrus hissed in anger so deep Sonya began to shake slightly in her seat.

Sonya looked away and with one paw she pulled up her left pant leg showing her foot, covered in a glove like shoe designed especially for her special type of lower paw. "This too?" Cyrus asked in a slight snarl as he looked at her odd genetic variation. Sonya nodded softly, grabbing for the door handle expecting Cyrus to shove her out of the car anyway.

"Where are you going?" Cyrus asked in a forced calm voice as he reached over and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I'm walking the rest of the way home, that's what you want right?" Sonya asked curiously eyeing the soft paw on her shoulder in confusion. "No, that's not what I want," Cyrus said with a soft smile causing Sonya to relax and release the door handle while he put his paws back on the wheel.

Cyrus stepped on the gas and resumed the trip to Sonya's home once again, she had given him directions and hell it was pretty damn far for a fur to walk! "The only thing I want is for you to stop taking shit from those assholes...oh and maybe beating the hell out of them it's all on the schedule," Cyrus said with a light laugh at the end. Sonya smiled, maybe she had a chance to live through high school with this dark wolf by her side.

The rest of the weeks leading to summer vacation Sonya was smiling every day, she was pretty damn content now a days. No one dared to call her anything resembling 'freak', they were all to scared to open their mouths. Even if she hadn't seen it in the fur she had heard of the paint can bomb Cyrus set up that completely drenched the entire commons in hot pink paint staining the fur of each and every fur there.

Getting past that she had learned a lot about Cyrus, she had to after she made him spill a great deal about himself after seeing his parents' gigantic house...at least that was what she thought. It turned out that his father actually worked for the Axis company, his parents were pretty damn rich. He didn't want anything to do with that life though, he lived in his own small house a ways away from the school and the mansion.

He meditated regularly and he had a small job working for a non profit organization, something Sonya had never guessed from the rough and tumble wolf. He wanted to study the environment and become a park ranger after college, he would rather save and watch after the environment rather than ruin it like his father did. That was what he always said.

She shared a lot about herself to Cyrus, what her interests were with school and everything. Her family wasn't all that rich, they were about middle society and did have debts and such to deal with. One day he had come and joined the family for dinner, that was an experience. He could feel the looks Sonya's parents gave him, a mix of disgust and fear. Her family hadn't had a nice history with wolves...

Halfway during dinner when he was talking to Sonya and she was laughing he saw a change of face from the family. Her mother looked at them and smiled softly, she hadn't seen her daughter laugh like that in a long time. Her father rose an eyebrow with the smallest of smiles, this was a completely different Sonya compared to the past and it had only been one day. Since all of her brothers and sisters were older and out in the world he hadn't been able to see them but he heard a lot about them. So much in fact that he thought he was slowly becoming part of the family.

Sonya continued to wear the baggy clothes but it was because that they were the only outfits she had and with no job she couldn't afford more...

Today was the last day for her junior year, thank god she could have an awesome summer for once! Sonya nearly skipped into lunch, her only hour with the black wolf, and sat at the usual table. She set her things down and began what homework she didn't finish last night, Cyrus had to make his appearance now or later with food bought just for her.

"Boo!" came his deep voice right by her ear, bathing it in his warm breath. Sonya suppressed a shiver and turned with a smile at the grinning wolf with two trays of food. Sonya blinked and said, "What's with the two trays?" Cyrus shrugged and said, "I thought I might join yah for the last lunch." Cyrus set a tray in front of Sonya and he sat down.

Suddenly his tray slid on some invisible liquid and it's contents slid off his plate and directly onto Sonya's lap. Sonya squeaked and nearly jumped off of her chair while Cyrus repeated apologies. Sonya sighed and looked at herself, her clothes were covered in sauce and spaghetti...in other words ruined. "I'm sorry Sonya," Cyrus said as he smiled sheepishly and scratched the back of his head.

Sonya sighed and said, "It's ok...I've got an extra outfit in my locker." "Well then let me come with you, I am still your guardian," Cyrus said with a smile. Sonya quirked and eyebrow, he was acting weird today. Sonya replied, "Yeah, no problem oh dark guardian." Cyrus laughed and said, "Lead the way dark princess."

Sonya walked, her pants and hoodie covered in food stuffs while Cyrus walked next to her, a suppressed smile on his mouth. Sonya noticed the barely hidden glee, what was he up to? She was pretty sure that there was nothing on the table before she sat down so his tray couldn't have slipped. Something was up...

Sonya reached her locker and spun the dial landing on the numbers with expert skill. She had done this so often that it was pretty much second nature. When her locker clicked she swung it open only to see a box with a bright red ribbon on it. Sonya blinked and took the box out of the locker while sneaking glances at Cyrus who was snickering behind his paw.

Sonya grabbed the end of the ribbon and pulled, somewhat worried of what might happen if she did so. Unraveling the ribbon she opened the box to see a brand new set of clothes in there for her. She tore into the clothes and found that there was a black t-shirt, smaller than her hoodie but still a bit baggy on her. there was a pair of grey jeans, much more form fitting than the messy billowing black pants that she wore now. Inside the box underneath all the clothes was a brand new pair of fingerless glove like shoes, perfectly styled to fit her special feet.

She stared at the clothes than looked up at Cyrus, a shy smile on his face as he scratched the back of his head. "I hope they fit, it took me forever to explain to the guy what I wanted," Cyrus said with a short chuckle. Without another word he was enveloped in a giant hug from Sonya, her head buried in his chest while her arms wrapped around his torso tightly. "Thank you," she said repeatedly into his chest, which caused him to smile.

"I have a princess to protect and I can't have her walking around in last weeks styles," Cyrus said softly as he wrapped his own furry arms around Sonya. Her scent floated up into his sensitive nose...aside from the spaghetti she smelled of a faint lavender and vanilla. Her enjoyed it because it smelled...just some much like her. They stayed locked in the embrace for a while until Sonya jumped back realizing she had covered Cyrus in the food stuffs that were on her. "Sorry," Sonya said softly which made Cyrus laugh and say, "Don't worry about it. I brought extra clothes for this occasion."

Sonya smiled and rushed into the girls' bathroom to change while Cyrus ran to his locker so he could change into his extra clothes. Cyrus came back and saw Sonya standing there, her beautiful silver and white fur shining in the light while her warm chocolate brown eyes looked all around in curiosity. She was stunning in her clothes, the pant hems just barely hiding her feet. When she noticed him she smiled and walked over to him, a slight bounce in her step. "Thank you so much," she said as she gave him another hug, another proper thank you.

Cyrus smiled and hugged her back, comparing this to the shy and timid bat girl he met a few weeks ago he had to be doing something right. She was such a happy fur now, and to be honest so was he...

The day went off without a hitch and just like always Cyrus ambushed Sonya at her locker, messing with her mind while she got ready and like that they headed for his car. Lucky for Sonya Cyrus had a bunch of clothes for her, many like the ones she was wearing and a few he just thought she might like. They chatted on the way home, their usual way to unwind from the day of morons and it was made all the sweeter that this was their last day at school. "Pizza and day time television here I come," Cyrus said causing a small giggle from Sonya.

"Cyrus," Sonya said tentatively. She had this question on her mind for quite a while; it was a question she didn't know if she wanted answered. "Hm? What is it dark princess?" Cyrus asked with a grin as he sped down the streets. Sonya looked out the window, should she ask him? How would he answer? Eh she knew he would handle anything just fine.

"Why did you help me that one day?" Sonya asked while Cyrus rose his eyebrows, he was waiting for this one. Cyrus thought for a moment then said, "You mind if I tell you that one later?" Sonya nodded and said, "Yeah, no problem."

After a few more minutes of driving Cyrus smiled and said, "Here we are, safe and sound dark princess." Sonya laughed at the nickname; he always used that when making a joke. Sonya looked in the driveway and saw a familiar powder blue car...it was her older sister Roza.

Sonya jumped out of the car, waving for Cyrus to join her rather than drive off like he normally did. Cyrus parked and followed the bat girl in, wondering what she wanted him to see. When he entered the door he saw an older bat female, she had to be around her 20's dressed in business wear, grey fur head to toe with a smile on her face as her brown eyes looked over Sonya.

"You look good!" the bat said with a smile to which Sonya giggled and said, "Thanks to my guardian." The bat blinked in confusion until Cyrus made his entrance, scratching his head in confusion as he looked at the bat girl just a bit taller than Sonya yet still shorter than himself. "Um, hello?" Cyrus asked with a small smile flashing his pearly white fangs. The bat narrowed her eyes at the wolf and said, "Is this the one Sonya?" Sonya nodded and said, "Yes but please don't interrogate him Roza. He's a good fur."

To late...

Roza had already grabbed Cyrus by his wrist and dragged him into the living room of the small home closing the door behind them so no one could interrupt or listen in. "What's going on?" Cyrus asked in confusion as he was forced into a seat while Roza sat across from him, eyeing him skeptically. "Ok what are you after?" Roza asked with almost a venomous tongue.

Cyrus shook his head and blinked in confusion, "Excuse me?"

"Oh give it up," Roza said as she crossed her wings. "I know all of you wolves are dogs led by your bones. You better give up on Sonya because she's going to stay pure for her mate got it," Roza said with stern authority. Cyrus glared and said, "I think you have me mistaken with most of my species. They are all power hungry and sex crazed animals who get to the top by muscle and connections. I helped Sonya because she needed it, I wasn't looking for any favors at all."

Roza's glare narrowed and asked, "Spill it. Why did you help my little sister." Cyrus sighed and said, "You're going to think it's stupid." Roza spat, "I've heard pretty dumb excuses to screw a girl." Cyrus looked away and said, "Have you ever had a dream which felt so real that it was like it was really happening. I used to be one of the people who just ignored Sonya. I had better things to do and...well I hated her because she wouldn't stand up for herself. She didn't have guts..."

Cyrus, sensing the anger from Roza, continued with, "But the night before I stepped in I had this dream. I was sitting outside a home in my car, this house, and there was an ambulance outside...the only thing I heard was chatter on the radio about some girl that killed herself. Then the image changed, like flipping the channel on an old T.V. It was Sonya and she was in the shower...her wrists slit up and down in bloody crosses." Cyrus finished and looked away at the fireplace, pictures taken from long ago. There were all five of Sonya's brothers and sister, smiling and happy. Then there was her, shy and looking away from the camera.

"I saw that and I couldn't let it happen...so I became her own personal guardian. Someone she could talk to no matter what. I made sure no one will ever bother her ever again and I became her friend." Cyrus said while Roza's glare relaxed slightly. "Why should I believe you, your entire species is made of scum and liars." Roza said, her glare renewed. "I don't know what my kind had done to you but I can assure you that I'm telling the truth. If I wasn't then would I say I love her?" Cyrus asked earning wide eyes from Roza.

"Love her?" she asked in disbelief her eyes wide. Cyrus nodded, his voice speaking from his very soul, "She is an incredible girl. Really funny, nice, and a really sparkling personality when she is out of her shell. She's the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. I love her...I want her to be my mate." Roza blinked, turned this over a few times in her head, and blinked again. This process continued for a minute or so until she smiled lightly and said, "Well then good luck wolf." Cyrus returned the smile with a sigh of relief and said, "Thank you..."

It was finally SUMMER! A time to wake up late and do whatever you want! Sonya yawned as she exited her bedroom in an oversized shirt and headed for the kitchen, waking up at eleven in the morning had that hunger effect on you. Sonya grabbed some milk, a bowl, and some cereal then proceeded to make her traditional summer breakfast...a bowl of cold cereal.

She stared out into space as she munched her cereal, remembering exactly what had happened last night. Cyrus ate dinner with them, they all talked happily, she stared at Cyrus when he wasn't looking again and when he did catch her looking she turned back to her food a blush no doubt on her face. Sonya shook her head, damn teenage hormones. She was already fantasizing about her best friend only a week or two after he got her out of her shell.

Then again he wasn't to bad looking, and he was the only one worth fantasizing about in her mind. As long as it didn't affect the real world it was of no true concern. She shivered slightly at the vivid and pleasant dream she had last night, oh yeah she had it bad for him. Sonya sighed, she was pretty sure he didn't return the feelings. He never made a move and from everything she read about love, men always took the first move.

Suddenly her morning haze was interrupted as her older sister rushed past her carrying a briefcase, one of many Sonya supposed as Roza came back. Sonya watched this with mild interest, since when did her sister get so many suitcases...and when did she take up golf?

"Roza honey we're ready to go," called the sisters mother from outside the home as Roza stopped and rested from carrying the golf clubs. "Uh...what does she mean Roza?" Sonya asked confused, her hand still suspending the spoon full of cereal. "Oh I just invited mom and dad to join John and myself in Hawaii. One of my clients was a travel agent and they actually scored us some cheap tickets. You wouldn't believe how quickly mom and dad jumped at the chance," Roza said with a smile at Sonya who neatly dropped her spoon back into her bowl of cereal.

"Mom left a bunch of emergency numbers and some money on the fridge if you didn't notice by now. Here's my own little contribution to my little sister's fund," Roza said as she handed Sonya a small envelope. Sonya blinked as she accepted the envelope and said, "but...isn't it illegal to leave a minor in the home alone?" Roza laughed and said, "Alone yes." With a wink she was off. The rumbling of a car and slow but sure fading of the engines roar the only definite sound that they had indeed left.

Sonya blinked in confusion, had she just be left home alone for...how long now? Sonya opened the envelope and emptied the contents on the table. There had to be a thousand dollars here! Sonya sorted the money and found that among the bills there was a small note. Sonya blinked and picked up the small white paper reading it with the aid of her tinted glasses.

Dear Sonya,

I gave you some extra money to last the next week and a half which is about how long we're going to be gone. You never know how much mom and dad leave, so stingy with money you know. On another note I had a talk with your little guardian yesterday. You know I'd rather be crucified than praise a wolf, well raise up the cross because you got a winner there sis, bag him now!

Love Roza,

P.S. I gave mom and dad my word that you wouldn't do anything dumb so please, when you are enjoying doggy style make him wear a rubber.

By the end of the note Sonya was blushing a beat red, her face fur seemed to be on fire. Suddenly the phone rang and she nearly jumped out of her fur. She rushed to the phone and picked it up saying, "Hello?"

"Hey dark princess, you up for some summer fun?" came Cyrus's voice loud and clear over the earpiece. Sonya spied the note and remembered the wink...then smiled to herself while a blush crept to her cheeks. "Yeah, where to?"

"Sonya!" called Cyrus from the driveway as he laid on the horn. He was dressed in blue jean shorts, kind of old and faded but perfect for summer wear. His sleeveless black shirt was in place, the twisted barbed wire on the chest moved to the back and turned a glistening white. Over his messy blood red head fur with holes for his ears he wore a black baseball cap and around his waist was a leather belt with a steel buckle.

Cyrus sat back in the drives seat, his claws tapping on the doors open window. Last night was fun, he didn't get home until about midnight since Sonya insisted he stayed so he could get to know her family more. It worked for him just fine, he stuck around the girl he loved and her family, it was a nice evening. He caught her staring at him once or twice and he smiled, maybe he had a snowballs chance in hell to be more than her friend. He shivered; he had some good dreams last night too.

He heard a door slam and like that he turned his view to the door and smiled, she was wearing some of the clothes he bought her. She was wearing a black t-shirt, it was the same style as all of her other ones, but this had a small design over the heart. It depicted a wing with thorny green vines growing over it and into the shirt until they vanished into the dark black. She was wearing her new ash colored jeans and her fingerless glove shoes, her unique feet out in the open where any fur could see them.

She looked more and more beautiful as the days passed and she was getting more and more confident in her differences with other furs. Cyrus smirked to himself in self satisfaction. "Ready to go dark princess?" Cyrus asked as he leaned over and opened the door for her. Sonya smiled and hopped into the passenger side seat, "As I'll ever be." Cyrus nodded as he clicked on the radio and said, "First stop, the mall." With a roar of his engine and squealing of the tires he was off with Sonya buckled in tightly in the seat next to him.

With his car they made great time and entered the doors of the mall at about noon, to bad they ran into crap when they stopped to get some lunch before checking out the stores. "Hey look, it's freak and her body guard," came a hissing cat call from their right. Cyrus rolled his eyes while Sonya glared. At first she just took this kind of stuff and rolled over, now it was getting annoying and she was a bit pissed that this cat bitch was interrupting her first day of summer with HER Cyrus.

Cyrus walked up to the black haired cat girl, flanked by her new boy toy, a bight red colored dragon. Cyrus looked up at the giant of a dragon who just looked down with a grin. "I hear you've been rubbin' my baby the wrong way," roared the dragon who cracked his knuckles. Cyrus shrugged and said, "Eh, one who's breath smells like a guys crotch generally deserves whatever treatment they get."

The dragon growled, his mouth glowing red with restrained flames, and said, "You talk big but you're just a scared little pup, get lost doggie." Cyrus calmly sighed and said, "I think this hand bag doth talk to much." The dragon snarled forcing to puffs of smoke from his nose. He reared back to punch Cyrus, who just side stepped the punch and grabbed the dragons arm with his own. "I could use a dragon skin belt," said Cyrus as he pulled the massive dragon over his shoulder and to the ground with a sickening thump.

The cat girl sneered, her newest boyfriend couldn't lay a claw on the wolf either! Damn it! What the hell could knock the lights out of this fuzz ball? The cat sneered and turned to leave only to come face to face with a stoic faced Sonya. "Oh hey FREAK," hissed the cat as she reached back for a slap. Her hand suddenly caught and she turned to see Cyrus holding her wrist, very tightly in fact.

"What did I say about-" Cyrus began angrily but Sonya sternly ordered, "Let her go Cyrus." Cyrus and the cat blinked but Cyrus shrugged letting the cat girl go from his clawed grip. The cat grinned, the bat had lost her nerve. She was about to insult Sonya again until she was knocked on her ass by a punch to the face. "Get the hell out of my face now, slut." Sonya hissed with clenched fists while the cat scrambled to get away.

Cyrus watched the display with a small smile of pride, finally she stood up to the assholes but still looked and acted like an angel. If you asked him he would say it was kind of hot. Cyrus put his arm around Sonya's shoulders and said, "Crude, but effective." Sonya blushed and smiled, "Thanks Cyrus. Since the mall is pretty much ruined anywhere else to go?" Cyrus thought for a second and said, "Well I have a pool at my place. Any objection?" Sonya smiled wide on the inside, perfect.

"I don't have a swim suit...but I know a place that'll sell one I'll want," Sonya said with a bit of thought. Cyrus nodded and said, "I guessed as much. Where shall the guardian take his princess?" Sonya blushed lightly at being called his but said, "Eva's." Cyrus chuckled and nodded, "How did I know? Let's go, I know how to get there."

Cyrus mentally weighed something and without any hesitation he reached out and grabbed Sonya's paw, entwining his digits with hers and all the while acting as casual as if it were an every day thing. Sonya saw him grab her paw, and like that her face grew hot. She looked away and walked next to Cyrus, ignoring the voices of the adult furs talking about a cute couple. Was Cyrus trying to tell her something with this act? Sonya shivered as a small chill of excitement ran down her spine. That was a nice thought to have...maybe this was the first move...

Cyrus looked around with his eyes not focused on anything in particular, one of his habits he had formed when he was nervous. She hadn't reacted to him taking her paw so it could mean that she doesn't mind it...or she didn't notice. Out of no where he felt his side get warmer and a weight lay on his arm. He slightly turned his head and his eyes caught Sonya, a small smile on her lips, while she walked side by side with Cyrus, her head on his shoulder.

Cyrus smirked to himself and looked straight ahead at the exit of the mall, it was a pretty good step in the right direction if you asked him. When they got to the car they reluctantly separated and Cyrus, as usual, held the door for his dark princess. After climbing into the drivers side seat he started her up, threw her into gear, then took off for Eva's. It wasn't that well know among most furs, it was actually a well hidden store that furs with darker tastes went to.

Eva's was ran by this wonderful couple, they never made themselves publicly known but it was well known they were a cross species couple with more than one child. Something that was very rare now a days. The couple, whoever they were, sold clothes at such rock bottom prices that many felt they were stealing the clothes. However it began and stayed Eva's stood the test of time and it was still around today.

Eva's specialized in clothes for the darker fur, for furs who enjoyed black as their primary wardrobe. Many other furs called them Goths but it was rare to find a Goth fur at Eva's. Getting back to the story Cyrus had just pulled into the parking lot in the complex which held Eva's. The reason Eva's was so well hidden was that it was squeezed between two stores and it didn't advertize in the front of the store. Something that added to their mystique.

Cyrus hopped out of the car before Sonya could move and he had already opened her door just as she reached for the handle. "Milady," Cyrus said with an exaggerated bow which made Sonya roll her eyes and step out of the car. Cyrus closed the door and with the push of a button he locked it and activated his LED protection system.

A little about LED for those who don't know.

LED, or Law Enforcement Department, is a select group of law enforcement officials who, after finding the old mandate to lax, took it upon themselves to form this organization who punished to the full extent of the law. LED only took on the most heinous of crimes, they did however make exceptions for friends of theirs. That was just what Cyrus's father was. Vice president of Axis Industries went to high school and college with Vincent Bell, chief of LED. Whatever protection Cyrus's father or his family wanted, they got it in spades.

Back to the story...

Cyrus smiled and like nothing he rose up his arm and slung it around Sonya's shoulders pulling her closer to himself. Without missing a beat Sonya smiled softly and leaned her head to the side, it appeared they had gotten the comfort zone to a minimum...ok demolished it all together when it concerned each other. That however didn't stop a blush from Sonya and a light heating of the face from Cyrus.

They walked up to the door, it's pitch black paint chipping with wear, and they reached for the handle only to see a big red closed sign hanging on the door. Cyrus frowned and said, "Well that's a kick in the ass." Sonya nodded and said, "well we could always make some popcorn and watch a movie." Cyrus looked up, his patented look of thought that Sonya couldn't help giggle at, and said, "Yeah that'll work. I have some DVD's."

They turned and began the walk back to the car until they heard a few clicks and with a squeak the door opened. Holding open the door was a bat woman, her bright green eyes behind thin glasses balanced expertly on her nose looking at the two with confusion. "Hello, did you want to buy anything?" the bat asked with a curious voice.

"Uh yeah, but we saw your closed sign," Cyrus said as he looked at the bat woman with and understanding look. The bat woman smiled and said, "Signs are signs. Come on in and take a look around." Sonya smiled while Cyrus grinned, ok maybe luck was on their side after all. The bat woman led them into the store, it looked much smaller outside, they had several racks with different styles and such.

Sonya departed from Cyrus and went directly to the swim suit section while Cyrus checked out the wallet chains, his last one rusted and he needed a new one that was stainless. After finding on that looked promising he went to the swimming section, wasn't Sonya done yet? "It looks cute dear," came a voice from behind a rack of clothes, Cyrus recognized it as the bat woman that greeted them at the door. "Um...isn't it a little..." came a small voice that could only belong to Sonya.

"Oh trust me dear he'll LOVE it," the old bat said with a chuckle...what the hell was going on? Before he could get a chance he heard a door squeak then slam shut, Sonya must have gone back into the changing room. Damn it now he was curious as to what the hell she had tried on..and who she was trying to impress. Cyrus shook his head and exited the swimming section heading to the black shorts and T-shirts, out of sight, out of mind.

Cyrus browsed through the racks, finding a few interesting things before he was tapped on the shoulder. Cyrus turned and was met with pure black. Turning his sights up her saw a silver wolf head peaking out of the long sleeved black shirt, "Yo." Cyrus blinked a few times, he had never seen a wolf this big...to be honest he was kinda freaked out. "Uh...mind telling me what you're up to?" Cyrus asked as he crossed his arms. "Yeah, just wondering if you're gonna pay for that wallet chain or try and steal it," the wolf said with a raised eyebrow.

"Hm? Oh this?" Cyrus said as he held up the black chain with small blades on the links. "I'm going to pay for it don't worry. I'm just looking through the shorts, I'm running low," Cyrus said calmly as he thumbed over his shoulder at the rack of clothes. The wolf nodded and smiled, "and what about that bat girl you came in with. I'm betting you need some...protection if you know what I mean."

Cyrus blinked then the color faded from his face, "You know you're some kind of pervert." The wolf gave a hearty laugh and said, "You misunderstand me kid. I work here and we sell...specific items for couples such as yourself." Cyrus nodded and said, "I understand but...we're not a couple." The wolf laughed and said, "Not yet I'm sure. I've seen furs more in denial doing worse, trust me."

Cyrus sighed and said, "You're not letting me go until you get me to buy a rubber I'm guessing." The wolf nodded and said with a sympathetic face, "I can tell a lot about a person just by how they walk. You walk shows you have a lot of confidence and power all focused on protection...but you're holding something back. Or you're hiding something from the one you protect, it fluxuates. Her walk shows her innocence, her trust in a certain fur to make sure everything is alright. You don't know how fast you can lose that trust if you get her pregnant from her first time."

Cyrus looked to the side and said, "I wouldn't mind her having my pups..." The wolf let lose a deep chuckle and said, "I know kid, your walk says it all." The wolf then muttered under his breath, "Then again so does hers..."

"What did you say?" Cyrus said as he snapped his head up. The wolf shook his head and said, "Here's what you do kid. Buy the rubbers and let her choose. If she wants your pups at such a young age then it's then its your decision, if she doesn't then there is always the future."

Cyrus looked around, his nervous reaction, then looked the wolf dead in the eye and said, "What sizes do you have." The wolf chuckled and said, "Afraid you're to small...or to big?" Cyrus frowned and said, "If your going to insult me then..." "Hey I'm just joking kid. It's all relative but trust me, with that bat girl no matter what she's going to love it," the wolf said then he went into explanations of the brands they had in stock.

Sonya stood at the register, her bathing suit in her small black bag while she waited for Cyrus...where the hell was he? "Boo!" whispered a familiar deep voice behind her. "How do you keep doing that?" Sonya asked with a smile as she turned to face the grinning wolf. "My secret, you got everything you wanted?" Cyrus asked with his paws in his pockets. "Yes..." Sonya said shyly, "What about you?" Cyrus pulled a paw from his pocket and scratched the back of his head, "Uh...I'm good."

Both nervously laughed before they left, leaving behind the bat woman behind the counter smiling. "Ah what a cute couple..." the bat woman sighed as she leaned on the counter. She suddenly felt two large black arms wrap themselves around her waist and she leaned back into the embrace, a serine smile on her face. "They're going to go far," rumbled the wolfs deep voice as he held the bat woman close.

"Mmm..." agreed the bat woman as she snuggled into the wolf's long sleeved black shirt. "Remember why we hung the closed sign?" asked the wolf with a sly smile on his muzzle. The bat woman chuckled and said, "You're always horny Sakima." Sakima laughed and said, "No better than yourself Eva. Now where were we..." Sakima spun the bat woman in his arms and planted a loving kiss upon her lips, slowly drawing her into the back rooms as his large paws wandered her body...

"You know this'll be the first time you'll be at my house," Cyrus said as he kept his eyes on the road. Sonya blinked, "Oh yeah. Anything I should know?" Cyrus laughed and said, "Nothing really. It's just a little ways away from town..." Sonya looked out the window of the car, a little ways away her tail. They had to be about a half hour away from school...and he drove every day? Wow. "You're wondering why I drive so much if I want to save the environment," Cyrus stated with a smirk. Sonya shook her head and said, "I'm wondering why you live so far from school."

Cyrus looked out the window, the city limits giving way to thick groves of pine and spruce. "I like the fresh air," he said with a smile as he suddenly turned down a dirt road that Sonya hadn't even seen. Sonya sat back and watched as Cyrus took the winding road through the dense forest, eventually coming to a common ranch style home. Cyrus pushed a small button hanging from his rear view mirror and the garage door rose, inviting the car and the furs who rode in it inside.

Cyrus leapt out of the car and opened the door for his princess saying, "Welcome to my abode dark princess." Sonya stepped out of the car and walked out of the garage looking at the home. It was beautiful, painted mostly navy blue with white outlines here and there. "You going to stare at it or come inside?" Cyrus asked with a small laugh, putting his paw on the small of Sonya's back as he led her into his residence.

Sonya stepped inside and looked around, it was really a beautiful home. If she didn't know better she would have thought it was some kind of extensive dorm room for a college student. He had a couch with a large Television seated before it, in front of the couch was a large table with a forgotten pizza box left to decompose on the wood. Seated in the corner of the room was a book case, it held many books and a few pictures. Most of the books were about the environment and meditation while most of the pictures were of what Sonya assumed to be his family.

His mother was a beautiful wolf, her fur a gleaming white while her golden eyes sparkled. She was wearing a yellow sun dress as had what had to be a five year old Cyrus by the shoulder standing in front of her. Next to her, with his arm around her shoulders was this large black wolf, his icy blue eyes staring at the camera with a quiet intensity, as if he could just jump from the picture and into real life. Sonya looked to the wolf's slicked back head fur and saw it to be the same rusty blood red of Cyrus. Yep that was his father all right.

"Enjoying my family?" Cyrus asked while he peered over Sonya's shoulder. Sonya jumped a bit and said, "Sorry. Your mother is a very pretty wolf." Cyrus smiled ruefully and whispered, to what he thought was himself, "Was."

"Hm? What was that?" Sonya asked as she turned and face Cyrus who just shook his head and said, "Nothing. Shall we go do what we intended to?" Sonya nodded, a little reluctant to let the matter slide but agreed none the less.

"The bathroom's down that hall and it's the second door on the right. I'll change in my room," Cyrus called over his shoulder as he walked to his room. Sonya sighed and her paws wrung the handles of her bag, "Why did I have to agree to what that bat said." Sonya sighed and straightened herself up, hey if she was confident enough to show her feet in public then hell she could do this! She marched, almost literally, down the hall and to the bathroom, intent on giving Cyrus an eyeful.

Cyrus exited his room, his paws in the pockets of his swim trunks. His trunks were a deep black fading to blood red mystic flames at the bottom hem. Where as most males didn't care he wore a pure white sleeveless shirt over it all, the tight fabric clinging to his skin and matting his fur. He walked down the hall and came upon the bathroom where Sonya was changing. "Hey princess, you done yet?" Cyrus asked with a brief rap on the door.

"No, not yet! Go one without me, I'm sure I can find it!" Sonya called from inside the tiled room. Cyrus shrugged and said, "Ok, I'll be in the pool if you need anything." Cyrus began the trek to the pool all the while thinking, 'I hope she doesn't go and use the hot tub without asking me...to join her.' Cyrus chuckled to himself and exited the glass door going directly to the deck.

It was a simple deck, made of plastic that was not only shaped like wood, it looked and felt like the wood too. It was some type of new recycling process that left a deck that needed minimal service but looked wonderful and was environmentally sound. Cyrus padded across the deck, his bare feet causing the usual soft sounds followed by the click of his claws. He then came upon the pool, something he enjoyed greatly.

It was a large in ground masterpiece, it was about half the size of an Olympic sized pool and it was constructed out of completely recycled material. The tile, the concrete, even the automatic systems that kept it swim worthy were constructed of recycled goods. Cyrus walked over to the short dive board and took a running start, diving into the crystal clear waters below.

He swum underwater for a length until he popped his head up and shook his head fur dry. "Ah! Cyrus!" came a soft squeak from Sonya as she stood at the side of the pool. Cyrus smirked and turned, "Sorry about tha..." Cyrus's eyes sprung open and drunk in ever detail he could. Sonya stood there, her light silver fur shining like the precious metal that was it's namesake, but this time there was much more fur to see. She wore a small black bikini outfit, enough to cover her important parts but giving him a view of parts of her he had never seen before.

Like most bats she was a very lean fur, petite and fragile looking, but she had curves in the right places making Cyrus mentally drool. She was thin in the stomach, wide in the hips, medium bust, white fur on her stomach and vanishing into her bikini top and bottom, beautiful face, it was enough for Cyrus's trunks to get just a tad bit tight. Sonya blushed, mentally restraining herself from hiding per usual, and said, "See something you like?" Cyrus shook his head and looked away, a blush burning hotly under his black furred face. "Uh...sorry," he said while Sonya smiled, ok she owed one to the bat woman.

She smirked and leapt into the pool, curling up in a ball and effectively splashing Cyrus with the shock wave and knocking him out of his embarrassment. "Hey!" he called as Sonya surfaced a ways away, only her head and shoulders above the water. "Why are you wearing a shirt in the pool?" Sonya asked with a smile, "Afraid of the water wetting your perfect fur?" Cyrus frowned and said, "I just like wearing my shirt."

Sonya smirked and took one small paddle toward Cyrus, "Well if I'm in this you have to lose the shirt." Cyrus's eyes opened wide and he began to back up, "You can't." Sonya laughed and said, "Watch me dark guardian." Cyrus turned and swam like the wind, all the while Sonya swimming after him, nearly nipping at his heels with her paws. Cyrus pushed himself into overdrive, wolves naturally had an edge over any animal, they lasted much longer in physical activity.

Suddenly Cyrus's right arm numbed and it lost all movement, Cyrus sneered and kept going with his left arm. A numb arm was better than a painful explanation. Suddenly he felt Sonya's paws wrap around his ankles and with a sharp tug back she grabbed onto him with her feet, their unique qualities coming in handy. She then grabbed the base of his shirt and with a speed Cyrus couldn't match she pulled up and rid him of the white fabric.

"Ha! I win!" Sonya said as she held up the white shirt. Cyrus jumped up from under the water, his left hand covering his chest as he said with a dark tone promising hurt, "Give me back my shirt." Sonya blinked, he had never used that one with her. "Cyrus..." Sonya said sadly, luckily they were in the shallow end and she could walk up to him. She took a few steps toward him and said, "Are you ok?" Cyrus took a step back, his left paw still covering his chest while his right arm hung limply at his side. "Yeah I'm fine, can I have my shirt," his growled causing her to look at him confused.

"Cyrus, what's wrong?" Sonya asked, her gait getting wider earning her closer proximity to her wolf friend. Cyrus stared into her warm brown eyes, a pleading look begging him to tell the truth shining like the mid day sun. "I said nothing," Cyrus growled weakly, he was losing his resolve. "Cyrus," Sonya said sternly while closing the gap between their bodies and grabbing hold of his left wrist, "What is it?" Cyrus looked away and removed his left paw from his chest revealing a large scar crossing his heart. It was a thin line and perfectly straight, it had to be made with a surgeons touch.

"What is this Cyrus?" Sonya asked, her right paw resting over the thin line.

"It's...my brothers life," Cyrus said quietly as he looked away from Sonya.

"What do you mean?" Sonya asked in confusion as her free left paw raised up and grabbed his limp right paw. "When I was born I had a disfigured lung and heart but I was also born with a twin brother. I was born with just a bad lung and heart...the only thing he had good were his lungs and his heart," Cyrus said with discomfort and sorrow flooding his tone.

"The doctors said only one of us would live. My parents chose me to get my brothers lungs and heart," Cyrus said as he placed his left paw over Sonya's. "He saved my life and I took his," Cyrus said with a sigh as he looked into Sonya's eyes. "I...I helped you in his memory. I had a premonition of your death and...I couldn't have another person die because of me..." Cyrus said as he swallowed the every growing lump in his throat.

Sonya looked up at him in surprise, he had seen her kill herself? She would be lying if she said she didn't have thoughts of it before but...she would never do it...would she? Looking back she was surprised she didn't a long time ago. She remembered something she had read in Psychology class. There were psychologists who believed that furs saw love as stories. There was the gardening story, both furs would raise and nurture the relationship like a garden. She always found the fairy tale to be her favorite...the knight to the princesses rescue.

"As I...stayed your guardian you kind of grew on me and..." Cyrus said, his eyes darting everywhere until he closed his eyes and sighed, determination welling in his chest. Sonya looked up at Cyrus with wide eyes, he fulfilled her story for her love...maybe she fulfilled his.

"Sonya," Cyrus said, his open eyes burning with the same quiet intensity that his father had...but they held a much warmer look, a flame of love fueling the burning intensity, "I love you..."

Sonya gasped, her chocolate brown eyes wide as they stared into Cyrus's melted gold. Sonya's mouth turned up in a bright smile and she said, "I love you too Cyrus. I think I did ever since you saved me..." With those words spoken her paws left his chest and limp paw and wrapped around his neck, drawing him close for an electrifying kiss.

Cyrus's eyes shot open as Sonya's lips laid themselves on his own. It was like a spark deep within him being turned on. He felt his heart pumping strong, his right arm quickly regained it's feeling and soon after it's mobility. He wrapped his arms around Sonya, bringing her mostly unclothed body to his own in a particularly wet embrace as his eyes shut in the euphoria of the kiss.

Sonya moaned into Cyrus's mouth, her arms reaching up and entangling them in his blood red head fur. As if on a horrible cue mother nature demanded that the two breath and they had to separate, gasping breaths sounding from both as they stared into each others eyes. It was like there was a connection between them, something to deep for any fur could reach without their twin flame soul mate at their side.

Cyrus gulped and asked sheepishly, "would my princess like to see...my humble chambers?" Sonya's eyes opened wide in surprise but then lowed in a semi-seductive glance. "Of course...my loving prince," Sonya said with as a small smile crossed her lips. Cyrus suddenly bent down, reaching under the water and bringing his arms behind Sonya's knees. Lifting up he pulled Sonya into his arms like a groom lifting his bride on their wedding night.

Cyrus walked from the pool to the deck and from there to his bedroom in the center of the home, all the while holding his beautiful bat in his arms. Sonya held onto Cyrus, her hands linked behind his neck while her head was curled onto his shoulder. She felt nice and comfortable here...but she had better avenues to walk down before she could merely cuddle with her wolf.

Cyrus gently laid Sonya on the bed, his eyes roving her body like an inmate visually ravishing their last meal before they eat. Sonya smiled, her position on the bed and her glistening wet fur adding to her seduction as she said, "like what you see my wolf." Cyrus smiled and lay down on the bed, covering her with his own wet form as he pressed his muzzle to her lips. Sonya moaned and wrapped her arms around Cyrus, feeling his tounge lick her lips gently wanting access. She opened her mouth in invitation and without warning she felt his tongue invade her mouth, wanting a wrestling match with her own licking organ.

Now Cyrus's tounge was long, it had to be because he was a canine, but Sonya's out classed him easily. When Sonya's tounge began the primal dance with Cyrus's he was surprised. Her tounge was long and sort of whip like, it was so dexterous that it easily wrapped around his own tounge and held him locked in the kiss until she deemed him a free wolf.

While their tongues battled for supremacy their body's had not been idle. Sonya had taken to untiing Cyrus's string on his trunks while his claws worked double time untiing her bikini top. Once again the need for air came into play and both separated, their tongues reluctant to stop playing just because of the need for oxygen.

Cyrus looked upon his handy work, her bikini top now lie on the other side of his room and all she was left in were her bottoms. Here breasts were prefect for him not to big, not to small, perfect for his paws. They were covered in the light white fur that covered her stomach too. Taking the initiative, his right paw reached out and gently cupped her left best, squeezing gently earning a slight gasp from the bat girl.

Meanwhile Sonya had untied Cyrus's trunks, the only problem was that those trunks weren't going anywhere. When his paw gently squeezed her breast she nearly ripped off his trunks and her own bikini bottom just to satisfy this loving lust but she held herself and moaned loudly instead. She lie back, her breasts getting assaulted with a mix of softly groping wolf paws and a long and skilled tongue.

Cyrus lie Sonya on her back, his mouth at her right breast while his right hand still worked her left. She was moaning and making no motion for him to stop so he just continued licking and sucking while his right hand gently squeezed. His left paw began to wander, it ran along her sides, over her white stomach, then down over her bikini bottoms eliciting a gasping moan from her.

Cyrus grinned and with a single digit her began to make circles around the area between her legs. The circles grew smaller and smaller earning louder and louder moans until they just stopped, leaving Sonya with nothing, not even his attention on her breasts. Sonya growled the best a bat can as Cyrus removed himself from her, what the hell was going on for him to just stop!

She got up on her elbows to see him in the corner of the room, his trunks on the floor behind him as he crouched next to his blue jean shorts. "Cyrus!" she hissed, nearly jumping off the bed to have him then and there. Without a sound he returned, a loving smile on his face as he crawled back up the bed to be face to face with her. "Hello beautiful," he said with a smile while she gave him a deadly glare. "What was that about?" she growled while Cyrus held up a package, it was a condom. "I just wanted to know...with or without?" Cyrus asked, his smile gleaming with his pearly white fangs.

Sonya growled and said, "With! Now get back to whatever you were doing!" Cyrus smiled and slid back down her body, oh yeah...angel one minute and a hell fire temper the other. What a delightful change from the terminally shy and quiet girl. His paws reached down and grabbed onto the waistband of her bikini bottoms and with one sharp tug he brought them down and off of her without a single problem.

He stood up and admired her body, it was beautiful, the stuff of his dreams. The clothes she had worn left everything to the imagination...nothing could ever come close to what she really was. Her warm brown eyes shone deeply with love...and a ravenous hunger that could only be satiated in one way. That thought alone and what had already happened bringing his erection to full power, the base already swelling with his knot.

Sonya blushed deeply at Cyrus, he stood tall and proud looking at her with a hungry smile on his wolf face. To be honest she was looking over with the restrained hunger of thousands of years of mating instinct. He was, at least in her record book of zero sights and zero conquests, large in the wolfhood...it kind of scared her that, that was going into her. He was a midnight black head to toe, even his claws, the only red on his body being his head fur, the tip of his tail, and a small patch on his stomach. He wasn't a muscle bound freak but he was toned, just a little flab around the gut but then again what guy that was not a total meathead wasn't like that?

Sonya smiled and said, "Well?" Cyrus swiftly ripped open the package and was about to put on the condom until a paw stopped him. He looked at Sonya who had sat up and was holding his paws still right now. She looked up at him, her warm brown eyes meeting his shining gold, and said, "let me." Cyrus nodded slowly and handed Sonya the condom, sitting on the bed so she had plenty of room to work.

Sonya leaned down and took this opportunity to inspect the wolfs pride. It was a throbbing, kind of veiny, and it was an angry red color. Near the base was this bulbous thing, she didn't know what it did but it was big, at least two times the girth of the rest of his tool. As an experiment she wrapped her hand around it, she didn't get all the way around...and it was hot, very hot. Earning a moan from Cyrus she guessed it was very sensitive too. She held the rubber disk at his tip, watching as his member throbbed with each of his heartbeats. With some beginners luck she covered his length, right up until his knot, in the thin protection.

Sonya had been smelling him and his arousal the entire time, as had he with her. Cyrus with his sensitive nose was on the edge of his patience but Sonya, having his male scent wafting into her nose while she hovered right before his wolfhood, was well past that. Without warning she pounced on the wolf, her legs straddling his hips, and said, "Enough with this toying around. I love you and I'm going to have you here and now, got it wolfy." Cyrus smiled, feisty girl, and said, "Lead the way princess." Sonya reached down and wrapped her as much of her paw as she could around his girth and guided it to her waiting nether lips.

Sonya gulped and with a suppressed whimper of pain she slowly descended upon the mast, the feeling of being filled by this painful and large invader making her release brief choking sounds. Her new ferocious-in-bed self no match for this foreign feeling. Cyrus placed his paws on her waist, her tightness was unimaginably pleasurable but no matter what his pleasure she looked like she was in pain. "Sonya...are you ok?" Cyrus asked softly past his own pleasure while Sonya bit back some more whimpers of pain. "Yeah...I'm fine...keep going..." she said, twisting her head side to side and holding back tears.

Cyrus frowned, he was hurting her damn it. He put pressure on her hips and began to draw her off his tool but stopped as her paws gripped his wrists with enough force to almost break the skin. "No!" she screeched loudly as she held her tearing eyes closed. Cyrus looked up at her, her tears were leaving trails down her beautiful face as she cried from pain...and something else.

"You've always been there for me and helped me when I've never gotten a chance to help you! Well this is my way of helping you and saying I love you all at once! Damn it I love you so just accept my gift!" she shouted, getting weaker at the end as more of his length sunk into her. Cyrus sighed and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her head down while he sat up he drew her into a kiss, a sharing offered to help her alleviate her pain. When they separated Cyrus had hilted himself in her, the only thing left to enter was his knot which was covered by a thin film of her blood. "I love you too," he whispered as she sat there, sighing shakily as her walls grew accustomed to the staff lodged inside of her.

Cyrus slowly, being as gentle as possible, began to rock his hips in and out of Sonya giving her a light run through of the motions. Well...at least as much of them he knew. To be honest he was still a virgin, holding himself off for the right fur and here was the one, sitting on him slowly getting used to him.

Sonya whimpered but this time it was with growing pleasure. The short and gentle thrusts began to feel good, sliding in and out of her tunnel she began to widen lengthen the thrusts, letting more out then pulling it in again with a soft moan. Soon the short strokes turned longer and longer until Sonya was practically bouncing up and down on Cyrus, her moans and screeches enough to wake neighbors had Cyrus lived next door to anyone.

With a quick twist Cyrus had turned the tables and he was on top of the graceful bat, thrusting into her with only the speed and thrust a canine could. Sonya's arms raised high above her head leaving her body out in the open for anything Cyrus wanted to do. Balancing on his right arm Cyrus reached up and squeezed her left breast while his mouth took on the task of sucking and nipping at her other mound of soft flesh.

Sonya's eyes rolled back into her head, it was all too much, and with a loud screeching moan her walls clamped down all along Cyrus's wolfhood causing him to fall of the edge as well. His hips thrust only two more times in the extreme tightness and he howled to the sky, releasing his seed into the rubber device on his member. They stayed frozen like that, her back arched and her mouth open in a soundless scream, his hips driven into her own with his head tilted back in a wild howl.

This was the combining of mates, the intertwining of two souls so deeply bonded and connected that they earned a place in the record books of the cosmos. Galaxies fade, stars die, but a love such as this shall live forever in the souls of the twin flame soul mates. It shall out last all time, it shall out shine every star, it is the love of a kindred spirit and it burns hotter than any red giant.

Sonya was the first to come back to earth as she slumped to the bed panting and covered in sweat. Cyrus was next, his staff retreating from her tunnel of love which gave him the opportunity to grab the condom before it vanished into his sheath with the rest of his maleness. He fell to the right side and tossed the used condom into the bin by his bed, quickly forgetting about it and wrapping his love in his arms just before he felt his right arm go numb once again.

He didn't pay it any mind and smiled, "How was that my dark princess?" Sonya rolled over to face him, curling her petite form into his muscular wolf fur as she said, "Oh my god." Cyrus chuckled and gently stroked her beautiful white hair with his left hand, his right arm right now pretty useless. It happened whenever he over exerted himself. The doctors always said it was something to do with his brothers heart, just because it worked didn't mean it was perfect. No matter, it only effected that one arm and he was ambidextrous through training.

Cyrus held his bat girl close, she had yet to say anything besides those words 'Oh my god'. He sniffed a bit and his nose caught the scent of her virgin blood...and salt water? He turned his head down and looked at his beloved's face only to see her crying, twin rivers of tears running down her cheeks. "Sonya..." Cyrus said as he put his paw under her chin and lifted her head up higher to meet his gaze, "Are you alright?"

Sonya looked up at him, her chocolate brown eyes brimming with tears and a small smile on her face. "I...I...my god I love you Cyrus," she said softly while blinking the tears from her eyes. She had never felt such a thing in her entire life, it was so...she didn't even have a word for it. For her the world had just fallen into place, her heart soared, this was paradise incarnate.

Cyrus smiled softly and put his left paw on her cheek, wiping away the tears from her eyes and said, "I love you too Sonya." He felt it too, the completeness from that single act. He felt like a part of his soul had been brought back to him even when he hadn't noticed it missing. The world's troubles were light years away, all there could be at this moment was her and him.

They lay in comfortable silence, both holding onto each other like they were lifelines that they could not live without. The day grew old, the sun went down, they eventually fell asleep in each others arms, not moving from where they had fallen the past night.

Sonya woke up, her body still warm but lacking a certain fur by her side. She sat up, bringing the thick blanket with her, and she scanned the entire home with her sensitive bat ears. She caught the soft sound of a fur breathing and she sighed in relief. She stood up and found her clothes had been recovered from the bathroom down the hall and set out nice and neat for her.

Sonya shook her head and put on her clothes, them being warm as if they had just gotten out from the dryer. He probably washed them damn it. She shuffled her way down the hall, just a little sore between the legs, following the sound of the soft breathing until she reached the front room where Cyrus sat, his legs crossed and his eyes closed as he breathed calmly.

Sonya smiled as she saw a plate seated beside him, the food that was once upon it reduced to mere scraps. She looked over him, her lips turning up into a smile as she felt warmth spread all throughout her body. She was in his house, the house of the wolf she loved, this wasn't some great dream. "You can use the bath if you like," Cyrus spoke, his right eye opening to look at her.

Sonya smiled but said nothing as she stayed right where she was, staring at him with that loving gaze. "Uh...what are you staring at?" Cyrus asked as he opened both his eyes and looked at Sonya in slight confusion. Sonya smiled and said, "Oh nothing, just my mate...that is if he'll have me." Cyrus blinked...then his face opened into a fantastic grin. "Oh I'm sure he will," Cyrus said as he stood up and stretched, his joints popping as he got the kinks out of them.

"Well then..." Sonya said slinking around the corner doing something Cyrus couldn't see. Cyrus watched the empty corner in confusion until he was hit right between the eyes by something small and white. Pulling the item off his face he held them out and between his paws to find they were a pair of white panties.

"I'm sure he'd love to join me for a hot bath..." Sonya said as she poked her head around the corner with her hand full of her clothes. Dropping them on the floor she smiled then vanished into the hall until her footsteps faded into the bathroom. Cyrus grinned and began walking, peeling off his own shirt as he went.

Oh yeah. This was going to be a great summer...and an even greater life.
