#2 of Pokerus Outbreak

This was my second foray into suspense. It was originally released as three parts, but here you see it as one! Probably my favorite Pokerus story I've written.

It's been months since the initial outbreak of the Pokerus virus. However, it wasn't any normal case of Pokerus, this version was on that humans could contract, and worse; it was lethal. Despite all of this, no case has proven lethal. This is because the virus alters the DNA of the human, turning them into a Pokemon themselves, thus allowing them to live through the infection. The infected are contagious for one week, and must remain outside of a Pokeball in order to heal. After the infection, the transformed human would resemble any other Pokemon, with no trace of being human. Of course, the new Pokemon would usually have their old mind in tact. Many remained with their families, ran off into the wild with their old Pokemon, or found a trainer and joined their team.

Of course this brought fear into many souls. Some would lock themselves away from society, while others would happily search for an infected Pokemon to transform themselves. There were two extremes to the spectrum as there were any situation. On top of this there were people who flat out abandoned their Pokemon, afraid of getting infected. This lead to both protests for and against these actions. One major group that was pro-abandonment was an organization called "Pokerus Prevention." They allowed the owners of Pokemon to drop off their Pokemon there, and they would keep everything off the record, to avoid the information harming the person's reputation.

However the whole place just seemed eerie. Something about it would cause a chill to go down one's spine. The lighting was dark, and you'd never see the faces of those who take the Pokemon from you. It was almost like a prison. There was a place separated by glass, with a place to say goodbyes to your Pokemon. With the kind of atmosphere it gave, myths and legends were bound to be made. The most popular one was that you'd enter and once you dropped a Pokemon off, the person would never be seen again. Some said that they were taken and locked away, and Pokerus Prevention was actually an anti-abandonment organization. Others said that they were simply escorted home without being noticed to protect their faces. Of course these were all stories but you never know...sometimes stories are true.

*****

"Hello?" Steven asks hoping for an answer as he entered into the dark building. The lights above his head flickered, causing the dimly-lit room to be all the more unnerving. Steven looked around trying to see anything living, or sign of life; failing to do so. "Is anyone here?" he asks proceeding cautiously. Suddenly, a voice calls out to him.

"Are you here to drop off a Pokemon?" an ominous voice calls out to him.

"Uh...yeah..." Steven says nervously. "A good friend of mine was infected...I don't want that to happen to anyone else I know."

"So you wish to leave your Pokemon behind to save yourself and your feelings." the voice replies.

"I...I suppose so." Steven replies uneasily. "Can I just leave them here now? This place is scary..."

"Of course. Go into that room and release your Pokemon in the chamber next to it." the voice commands.

Steven nods his head with his body shaking, going to a strange large room. He sees a slot that allows the release of one's Pokemon. Oddly enough this was well-lit in comparison to the rest of the building. He nervously grabbed the Pokeballs from his bag, releasing a Houndoom, Delibird, and Nidoking into the room. The trio looked around confused, before stopping to look at Steven. He gives a sympathetic look at them.

"I'm sorry...you know the outbreak." he tells them nervously. "It's just...you know what happened to Mike..." The Pokemon gives Steven blank stares of sadness. "This wasn't easy for me!" he yells. "I loved you like family and I have to leave you! This is painful for me!" The trio of Pokemon only get a sad expression on their face. Steven lets out a defeated sigh. "I'm sorry..." he says turning to the door. Suddenly, a metallic door slams shut. "What the...?" Steven says examining the door. He tries to push, pull, do anything to get it open. "Hello?" he shouts hoping someone can hear. The Pokemon watch in interest as to see what was happening in the neighboring room. Suddenly, a strange smoke starts to fill the room. Steven turns back and sees this, causing his eyes to widen in panic. "Hey! Anyone? Help!" Steven says pounding the door with his fist in vain. The smoke fills the room completely, leaving the trio of Pokemon Steven meant to abandon to their imagination as to what was happening.

Inside the smoke, Steven's body was changing, namely inside of him. His DNA was altering. It wasn't any ordinary smoke, but it was Pokerus filling the room! The heavy amounts of the virus caused the transformation to take place almost instantly once it filled the chamber up. Steven's body began to alter, as light blue scales begin to replace his skin on his arms, legs, and parts of his head and torso. His finger became much shorter and lose two digits, his nails turning into three white claws. His arms become longer and much stronger. About half way down his body, Steven's lower body grew cream colored scales. Two cream chest plates formed and resembled breasts. At Steven's crotch, a certain something left, changing his gender; albeit through the smoke he, or rather, she had no idea what was happening, other than she was transforming. Her legs became much shorter and more powerful, her body growing to give her a much taller look despite this. Her feet altered greatly as they grew much larger, losing 3 digits leaving but two behind. Her toenails turned into sharp claws. Steven's lower jaw became larger while becoming creamed colored like her breasts and lower body. Her nose shrank into a mere two slits as her face pushed out into a snout. Steven's eyes moved to either side of her head while her ears became much larger. A horn formed at the top of her head while spikes went down her body. Lastly, a large spiked tail forms at Steven's backside, dragging on the ground somewhat.

The smoke clears up and Steven gets a look of his reflection in the glass separating the rooms. The image staring back at Steven terrifies her. A Nidoqueen, breathing as she breathes. Steven moves her body, seeing the reflection mimic it. The Pokemon in the other room stare in awe, especially Steven's old Nidoking, quite liking Steven's new form. "Ni-nido?" Steven let out in a whimper, holding back tears. Suddenly, a secret door opened and let a bright light into the room, blinding everyone inside. Steven felt something hit him before everything went dark. The light cleared up, a spotlight going on a Pokeball. The trio of Pokemon simply watched as the ball shook three times, before locking. They saw a hooded figure enter the room, picking up the ball now holding Steven. "Your master, planning to abandon you here is now one of you. I'll leave you three with him to discuss this as you will." the ominous voice instructed. Suddenly, three Pokeballs fired at the Steven's all Pokemon, all of them being captured. Three new hooded figures entered into the room and picked them up. The one holding the new Nidoqueen walked over to the slot from before, dropping the whole ball in.

"Take them to the basement. This man...or woman rather can discuss her mistreatment with her old Pokemon there." the man instructs. One of the hooded figures on the other side pick of Steven's ball and leaves with the others down to the basement. The man hears someone else enter into the door of the building. "And we have another one..."

One Week Later

*****

In a dinner on the outskirts of Roltan Town, home of the Pokerus Prevention Organization, two long time friends by the name of Damien and Jefferson were eating. Recently the two decided to form a partnership, to help as many people as they can. Due to the Pokerus outbreak, many trainers and families left behind their Pokemon in fear of turning into one themselves. The town was riddles with posters for both sides of the spectrum, pro-abandonment and anti-abandonment. And Pokerus Prevention was always the talk of the town, often in disgust for the anti-abandonment side. Myths began to grow about people going in and never coming back. And sometimes...myths are true.

Roltan Dinner

10:00 AM

"How are you so sure there's something fishy with this town?" Damien asked over to his partner.

"Six disappearances in less than one week? That's not exactly a normal situation!" Jefferson rebutted.

"Do you not know what's going around?" Damien asks crossing his arms. "People are turning into Pokemon left and right!"

"Yeah, but look at the reports. All of their relatives said how cautious they were so they weren't infected." Jefferson says sliding papers towards Damien. "And people have been seen walking in but never out."

Damian shook his head. "I'm sure that myth was just some kind of propaganda for the anti-abandonment crowd to make people stop ditching their Pokemon. There's nothing more!"

"But there is." Jefferson said, showing his tablet to Damien. "An eyewitness account said he could hear screams for help coming from inside this "Pokerus Prevention" place."

"And...? What if he was just lying?" Damien asked confused.

"Thanks to my little hacking skills, I was able to break into the local police department files, and he took a lie detector test."

"Electronics will be the downfall of us." Damien sighs. "What turned up?"

"All the truth. The cry for the help, the missing person description. It all checks out." Jefferson says locking the tablet putting it away.

"So what? Someone's luring people into this building and doing what?" Damien asks not really expecting a really answer.

"Not sure." Jefferson says looking across to Damien. "Might be one of the extremist. Whoever it is we can't just stand idly kidnap more people!"

"You're right..." Damien sighs. "Where do we even begin? We can't just rush in!"

"Thanks to be I have the people who filed the missing person reports." Jefferson says with a smirk. "We got question them, get info and we'll go from there."

"Alright." Damien says getting up. "Sounds like a plan."

Jefferson leaves cash on the table as the two exit the dinner to their car. "First up is a Lisa Smith." Jefferson says looking at the tablet. "She said that her son Tyler went messing after she sent him to leave their Eevee at the Pokerus Prevention center. Tyler loved that Eevee, but desperate times. Mrs. Smith hadn't seen her son since, and fears he may have run of with the Eevee."

"Maybe he did. Did anyone see this Tyler go into the center?" Damien asked as he started up the car.

"Actually yes." Jefferson said sounding pleasantly surprised. "A Luke Sterling. Said he saw the boy from the description enter holding an Eevee, quite tearfully so."

"So we'll go talk with the mother and you got anything on this Luke guy?" Damien asks.

"Says here that he's homeless. Lost his job after most of his firm was exposes to Pokerus. He lurks around in the forest now. Looking at him, he witnessed everyone of the people who went in."

"We'll want to talk to him as soon as we can then." Damien said. "Where does this Lisa live?"

"Go down past the town's Pokemon center, two buildings down." Jefferson instructed as Damien followed his directions.

Lisa Smith's Home

11:00 AM

Soon, the two arrived to a bit of a run-down house.

"This must be it." Jefferson said, tucking the tablet into the glove compartment.

"Let's not waste time then." Damien said as he got out of the car, Jefferson following. The two approach the door and knock. There's a moment of silence before the duo begin to hear footsteps. The door opens, revealing a woman of about 42, but looking quite defeated.

"May I help you?" she asks emotionless.

"Hello, I'm Damien and this is my partner Jefferson. Are you Lisa Smith?" Damien introduces and asks.

Lisa gives a small nod. "What are you doing here?"

"We're here to ask a few questions about your son Tyler."

"I've already told the police everything, what help can you two do that they can't?" she asks annoyed.

"Trust us, we've trained in this kind of thing, off the books." Jefferson says.

"Well what are you then?" she asks crossing her arms.

"You wouldn't have heard of us, that's how off the record we are." Jefferson says with a sly smile. "You don't have much to lose by allowing us to ask a few questions."

Lisa lets out a small sigh. "I suppose you're right...come in." she says walking back inside leaving the door open for Jefferson and Damien.

"You could have been nicer about that." Damien scolds, Jefferson giving an innocent shrug as the two enter into the building. The interior is very much like the exterior, run-down and old fashioned.

"Have a seat." Lisa invites on the couch across from her. Jefferson and Damien both give a thankful nod and obey.

"Now then, Tyler. Was he rebellious at all?" Damien begins to question.

"Not at all. He was a good boy. Always did what he was told." Lisa says starting to tear up.

"I know it's hard but please try to keep yourself together." Jefferson says with a sympathetic frown.

"S-sorry. I'm fine." Lisa says sniffling. "What else do you need to know?"

"Was the Eevee you sent with Tyler sick? Any Pokerus symptoms?" Damien continues.

"No, not at all." Lisa shakes her head. "We were very careful with him to make sure he didn't get infected."

"Just one more question, what do you know about Pokerus Prevention? Anything at all." Damien asks.

"Well...they just came out of nowhere." Lisa says. "They said you shouldn't fear for a changing body and leave your Pokemon behind. I thought it was a nice idea. Nobody deserves to be scared of transforming." Lisa says.

Damien gives a nod over the Jefferson as the two begin to get up. "Thank you for your time Mrs. Smith." Damien says nodding, Jefferson joining in as well.

"Please...find my son." Lisa says in a defeated tone.

"We will ma'am. I promise you." Jefferson says with a weak smile.

"Thank you..." she says weakly as she escorts the duo out of the home. They make their way back the car and get in.

"That didn't really help much did it?" Jefferson said annoyed. "All we got out of that was a promise I might not be able to keep."

"Hopefully this Luke Sterling can give more information." Damien says shaking his head and starts up the car, en route to the address of Pokerus Prevention.

Pokerus Prevention

11:00 AM

The three officers all entered into the building, guns at the ready. They had their flashlights on, revealing a very run-down building that couldn't be up to any kind of code. They quietly made their way throughout it, looking at every corner. Suddenly, over some kind of loudspeaker they heard a voice.

"Investigating my property I take it?" it says with a hearty laugh. "Not a problem. I surrender. Go to the southernmost hall and I'll be there, weapons free with my hands up."

The officers looked at each other. It was obviously some kind of trap, so they decided to keep one officer wait on the outside of the hall while the other two went in. They made their adventure down to the southernmost part of the building, entering into a pitch black room. The flashlights they had didn't shine a single speck of light in it. One of the officers gave to go as he and another went into the room with the other one standing guard. Suddenly, a metallic door slammed shut behind them, leaving the two separated from the third. The room's lights came on, revealing a cloaked figure.

"Hands in the air!" an officer called out as the two pointed their guns at it. The figured remained unmoving. "You have five seconds to comply or we will shoot!" the officer warns again. After the time passed, he calls out a fire at will, the two doing just that. However, when the bullets hit the figure, all it did was contort it, as if it was a hologram. A black fur covered paw poked out from the cloaked, and gave a "no" gesture before vanishing. "What in the world was that?" an officer asks as they lowered their guns. Suddenly smoke began to fill the room up. "Hey! Let us out!" both the officers ran to the door, bashing on it. The officer on the outside heard this and turned to face the door. "I'll get you out! Stand back!" he says going to start shooting the door. However he found his gun unable to fire, and a blue glow surrounded it. It flew out of the officer's hands as his eyes widened in panic. He turned around and saw a strange shadow figure. It goes up to him, holding him up by the shirt.

The feeling the officer felt was unlike no other. While he was up in the air his body was changing. The man's feet contorted as black fur grew all over his feet. He lost two digits on his feet as they became three-digited paws. His bone structure contorted to become digitigrade as he would only be able to walk on his toes. Blue fur grew around his hips to resemble a pair of blue shorts as a long blue tail emerged from his backside. Down there, the officer could feel his manhood slip away into nothingness, changing his gender. Black fur grew on her upper body as blue fur went down her arms to her hands. Two white appendages formed on the backside of her arms while her hands became three digited paws. A white collar formed around her neck while her head became larger. Black fur grew over her face like a mask while blue fur surrounded it. Her ears became much longer and doglike while her hair completely shrunk into her fur.

Before the officer could do anything, she felt her mind go into some sort of trance. "You are my new child, the one who will take the plan over once I am gone." the voice says still holding the newly made Riolu.

*****

On the inside of the chamber, the two officers had eerily similar transformations. They both phased through their clothes as their bodies became floating bodies of gas. One officer's body lost his legs and arms, his body going out like a dress. A red pearl necklace formed around hm as his hair became the same color as the dark blue gas with pinkish tips growing longer. His nose and rears left as his eyes grew large and red. The officer now a female Misdreavus. The other officer's body became a mere ball, any other limbs gone. His eyes grew larger and his mouth became wider. His tongue became longer as two fangs formed and stuck out from his mouth. A cloud of purple gas constantly circled the black ball as he finished becoming a Ghastly. The two officers floating, looked at each other in terror.

*****

"Yes father." the former officer replies emotionless.

"You will have no memory of being human, and only of being my daughter." he says.

"Of course father." the Riolu replies.

"Excellent. Now, awake Jasila!" the shadow figure says, dropping her. She paws her self out of the pile of clothes and stands up and hugs her new father. "Thank you for saving me daddy!" she says happily.

"It's my duty Jasila. I am you father after all." he says warmly, lowering his hood to reveal a Lucario's head. He pets his newly made daughter on the head with a smile. "Now please go capture the two in there to go to the basement." he instructs.

"Of course!" Jasila says smiling. The Lucario gives two Pokeballs to his daughter as she enters and captures the two newly made Ghost Pokemon.

Outskirts of Pokerus Prevention

1:00 PM

*****

"Alright, here we are. This is Pokerus Prevention." Damien announces as the car pulls up not far from the building.

"Not exactly extravagant." Jefferson mutters as the duo get out of the car. "Right then, we have to find this Luke Sterling fellow."

"Where do we even begin? All our lead is he hangs around here. We don't even know what the guy looks like!" Damien lets out in an annoyed tone.

"We better start looking then!" Jefferson says hitting his shoulder playfully. With a deep sigh from Damien, the two begin to venture around the forest. Most of the forest was rather barren, there weren't even Pokemon in it which was strange.

"How is there nothing here?" Damien asks not expecting a real answer.

"And how do we not hear the one other living soul in this stupid forest." Jefferson adds as they stop for a moment ad survey the area. "This Luke has to be around somewhere..."

"Excuse me, did you say Luke?" a frail voice calls out to Jefferson and Damien.

"Who said that?" Damien asks the voice looking around.

"Why do you wish to speak with Luke?" the voice asks as a small man walks out from a bush.

"We're investigating the recent disappearances involving Pokerus Prevention, we want to question him." Damien explains.

"Luke's been gone for a long time..." the man says. "But I can answer you're questions you intended to give to him."

"Do you come by here often?" Jefferson chimes in skeptically.

"I spy here all the time, it's a hobby." the man says admittedly.

"Tell us what you know about it then, everything." Jefferson says crossing his arms.

"Very well." the man says taking a seat. "It all started when this building came out of literally nowhere on night. I was making my rounds through the forest and bumped into it. Soon, ads kept popping up talking about a place where trainer's can leave their Pokemon behind to avoid infection. However I've seen every single person come and no one has ever come out of that place. From the first one when it opened to the cops just a few hours ago." he recalled.

"Wait, the cops?" Damien says puzzled. "What happened with them?"

"There were three guys, all with guns. I stayed away but once they entered I heard gunshots and screaming. They never came out..." the man replies.

Jefferson looks over to Damien. "You think those cops got taken down? They would have left by now."

"It seems like we're dealing with something big here." Damien sighs. "This place is more than just an abandonment center..."

"Just leave me out of it alright?" the man replies nervously.

"What? You have so much information we can use!" Jefferson shouts back. "We need your help or more people could disappear!"

"You don't understand!" the man shouts running off.

"Nice job, you scared him away!" Damien scolds, slapping the back of Jefferson's head.

"He wasn't going to help us! I could at least try and guilt trip him!" Jefferson defends. "But we have to go in now, otherwise more people are going to get hurt!"

"Are you mad? We could be the next victims!" Damien says.

"Better me than someone's child, or brother. You're the only thing I have!" Jefferson said. "You can run off if you want; I'm not going to force you into this."

"Jefferson...I'm your partner, I've known you since High School. You think I'm going to leave you because you don't want more people to disappear? No, I'm going to help you. Because I trust your judgement. Now what are we wasting time for?" Damien says with a smile, putting his hand on Jefferson's shoulder.

Jefferson nods and smirks. "Come on then, we have no time to lose." The duo make their way back to the strange steel building gates. Jefferson takes a deep breath. "Ready?" Damien nods as the duo enter the dark and desolate building.

"This isn't exactly quality customer service..." Jefferson sighs as he and Damien make their way through the corridor. Soon enough, they came to a fork. One lead to a flight of stairs while the other leads down the hall. "I'll take the stairs, take the hall." Jefferson said.

"Stay safe, shout if you need help." Damien nods as the duo split up. From the shadow's blue eyes start to glow, unbeknownst to them.

Pokerus Prevention Basement

1:20 PM

Jefferson nervously made his way down the stairs, making sure to look back and fourth with every step to ensure no one caught him by surprise. He made it down to the basement where he examined around. It was like some kind of prison. Instead of bars there were glass panels, and inside there were Pokemon. Jefferson thought to himself, "Were these the Pokemon left behind?" as he walked through the corridor. Suddenly, he came across a sign that read "INFECTED POKEMON, ENTER WITH CAUTION." "Did that mean Pokerus infected?" Jefferson thought to himself. He went to turn the other way, to be stopped by a a small Riolu. Jefferson couldn't get past her, and the only other option was going through the infected Pokemon section. It blocked the path, but something that small would be able to easily moved. Jefferson went to walk in it's direction but stopped in his tracks as the Riolu's eyes and body began to emit a blue glow. It held a paw out as it held began to push Jefferson back into the room with infected Pokemon. He tried to fight it but was unable to overcome it, only slow down the inevitable. "Hey! Anyone! Help!" Jefferson begins to shout in vain as he slowly but surely is pushed to the next room over.

Pokerus Prevention Main Floor

1:20 PM

Damien continued down the main hall of Pokerus Prevention. There didn't seem like much of anything really. It seemed like any old abandoned warehouse, which Damien thought was a tad ironic. He made his way down to a strange room with some sort of tube, a second room next to it separated by a glass plane. He turned around and walked out of the room, the door closing as soon as he left the chamber. Suddenly, a loud yell is heard as a hooded figure falls from the ceiling. "You shouldn't have come." is all it said as it approaches Damien slowly. He tries to run off as the figure pulls out a black-fur covered paw, leaving Damien frozen in place. It walks up to him takes it's hood off, revealing the head of a Lucario. It grabs Damien as lifts him up, his eyes glowing blue looking into Damien's which eyes start to glow blue as well.

"Enough!" a voice calls out as the Lucario drops Damien down, the glow from both of them stopping. Damien begins to pant heavily unable to move despite how much he wished, and simply looked up at the action.

"You!" the voice calls out angrily.

"It's me. And it's time to right my wrongs." the voice calls back, out stepping from the shadows the man from earlier that Damien and Jefferson talked to.

"You left me here for dead!" the Lucario shouted back at him. "You experimented on me! Gave me this virus that I never wanted!" it yells getting closer to him. "I learned to control it but it took years. And I was going to make sure that no other Pokemon went through what you put me through!"

"I'm sorry." the man replies, pulling out a Master Ball from his pocket. "I didn't have a choice! They would have killed me if I hadn't obeyed them! I didn't want Crescent to fall! I hated what I did to you! I can't bare to have that guilt with me constantly!"

"I was terrified and you abandoned me!" the Lucario replies angrily, blue aura starting to form around his body as his "hairs" rose.

"It's about time I righted my wrong." he says, throwing the ball at the Lucario. However, he uses the aura and catches it before it hits it, and sends it flying in the other direction. The man looks back at the Lucario with wide eyes.

"Luke Sterling...it's time you pay for your crimes. I've waited years for this moment." the Lucario says grabbing Luke by the shoulder's, putting him in the same trance-like state that the Lucario put on Damien. Damien's eyes widened as the Lucario held him, and the realization that the man was Luke himself, and that he sounded like a criminal. Damien looked over to see the Master Ball lying nearby. He began to crawl to it as fast as he could before Luke's body and mind was changed forever. The Lucario looked angrily into the man's eyes as it began his body began to change.

Luke tries to kick and wiggle his way out to no avail, his body unable to listen to his commands, under the Lucario's command. While his eyes gave off a blue aura, his body was altering around him. His legs and waist turned a green color as they shortened greatly, They became more shapely as his feet lost their toes and altered to where he would always stand on his toes like a ballet dancer. At his crotch Luke felt immense pain as his manhood contorted to make him become the opposite sex. Luke's torso contorted and his shirt fused with his body, going out like a tutu as the rest of his body turned a bright white color. Her arms became much thinner as her hands became flat.

As Luke's body was almost done changing, Damien inched closer and closer to the Master Ball, unbeknownst to the Lucario. He grabbed it with a wave of gusto and started to try and get up, having trouble doing so. As he was doing so, Luke's body was finishing it's transformation. Her eyes became larger and turned red, underneath the blue glow. Her ears pointed outward and became hard and light red while her hair followed, turning green and solid as if to resemble bangs.

"No you're all mine." the Lucario says with a smirk as it gets ready to alter Luke's mind like the police man before.

"Think again." Damien says tossing the Master Ball at the Pokemon.

"No!" it calls out dropping Luke's transformed body, her eyes turning to their now normal red state, her old mind in tact. The Lucario tried to stop the ball from hitting him but too late. It hit the Lucario in the legs as the ball shook three times, locking the Lucario in there. Damien looks down breathing heavily with a smile. "We did it..." he says before looking over to the transformed Luke, his smile leaving. He was afraid to approach, but a voice called out to him.

"It's okay. I'm not infected."

Damien looked down at the newly made Kirlia in surprised. "You can talk?"

"Not exactly." Luke replied. "But Psychic Pokemon can use telepathy if powerful enough, the Lucario you caught changed my mind just enough for me to master it without destroying my old memories and free will."

"Better than the alternative I suppose." Damien replied.

"I deserve this fate." Luke sighs. "At least I'm not contagious..."

"Why is that? How is this transformation different than normal Pokerus?"

"You see...during the infamous Fall of Crescent, I was a lead scientist on making a more powerful Pokerus, and the Lucario...the Lucario was a guinea pig. We made an artificial version of the virus that instantly turns someone into a Pokemon, but the contagious effects of it wouldn't exist. That madman who had the leash on my neck demanded I make one that did just that, but I fled with the Lucario to not put it through more harm. Unfortunately it didn't see it like that..." Luke says looking down at the ball.

"I'm sorry." Damien says with a frown. "Wait...Jefferson!" he says rushing down the path, Luke following. They both quickly descend the stairs, and find the Riolu pushing Jefferson back into the room. Damien gets into an attack stance to get it from behind.

"Don't." Luke says as he approaches the Riolu from behind. She taps it's head as it let's its grip on Jefferson free.

"Thank goodness..." Jefferson sighs as he rushes past the two Pokemon back to Damien, hugging him tightly. "You saved me from turning into a Pokemon, thank you." he says.

"It's no problem...keep each other safe right?" Damien says with a chuckle as the two turn back to the Riolu and Kirlia.

"Wh-where am I? Wait...why is my voice..." the Riolu looks down and lets out a small squeal. "I'm a Pokemon!"

"Yes, we were both transformed by a bitter Pokemon." Luke explains. "I'm here to set the wrongs it caused right, and at the very least I can help you feel comfortable by being with those like you, humans turned Pokemon." he comforts.

"And my partners? What happened to them?" the Riolu asked nervously.

"I'm afraid they had the same fate as you; most likely anyways. I'll help you all get through this." she says giving small hug to the Riolu, turning to Damien and Jefferson. "You two should leave, the Lucario wasn't working alone, he had many brainwashed soldiers guarding the infected chamber. I'll restore their old minds, but I'm sure you don't want to be converted to!"

"Right." Damien nods. "Thanks Luke, for saving us."

"It's my duty to fix my mistakes...you two made me realize that. So thank you, and farewell!" Luke says as she looks at the Riolu, taking her paw walking into the infected chambers.

"Let's get out of here already, I'm done with this place." Jefferson walking off, Damien following. Soon enough they are both at the surface.

"See? I told you it wasn't just Pokerus-based transformations." Jefferson said with a chuckle.

"Okay, okay; you were right." Damien says playfully putting his hands in the air.

Suddenly a bright light comes from inside the Pokerus Prevention building, and dozens of Pokemon storm out and run off to return to their loved ones. Luke used the power stored in the building to transmit a message to each and every single one of the transformed's family, saying they were coming home; albeit as Pokemon. After all of this Luke walks out of the building. "These were all humans once, on their way back to their homes. The boy with the Eevee, the officers, all of them." he explains.

Jefferson gets a small smile on his face. "I promised I'd send him home..." he says with a smile revering to Tyler returning home.

"Come on Jefferson, there's got to be more corrupt places like this one, I think it's our duty to stop it." Damien says looking over with a smile.

"Wait!" Luke calls out to the two. "I want to travel with you..."

"You want to come with us?" Jefferson asked with a raised eyebrow.

"The last time you helped us you became a Kirlia." Damien replied.

"I know. But after everything I've done...I need to repay my debt to society. Please allow me to help you help others." Luke says warmly.

"We could use a psychic to help scout places out for danger." Damien said looking over to Jefferson.

"Why not, you're willing to help others, who am I to stop you?" he says with a smile. "Get in the car." he says opening the backseat door. Luke walks over and hops in while Jefferson and Damien sit in the front. "Alright, we got work to do." Jefferson said as the new trio of partners drove off into the sunset.
