Chapter 15 is here, finally. Sorry it took so long, I've been finding it hard to write more than a few paragraphs at a time.

Anyways, all characters are mine, yada yada yada, Do not read this if you are under 18/21 depending on where you live and if you do don't get caught.

***************************************************************************

Gideon woke up on Monday, two days after the dance, with Raymond cuddled up really close. Gideon smiled at the sleeping wolf before getting up to turn off his alarm clock before it actually went off. He was shocked to see that he got up at least a half an hour early.

He decided to let Raymond sleep and went to take a shower. He got into the hot spray just to be interrupted by his mother knocking on the door. He sighed and got back out, leaving the water on. He wrapped a towel around his waist and went to see what his mother wanted.

"What?" he asked.

"Did something happen yesterday?" Carol asked him, "Wyatt is in the kitchen crying about something."

Gideon looked over and noticed that Wyatt wasn't in the bed. Troy had gone home earlier the day before. Gideon sighed and said, "I'll go see if I can find out what the matter is."

Gideon walked into the bathroom and pulled his pajama pants on. He walked downstairs and set at the kitchen table next to a crying Wyatt. He picked Wyatt up and set him down on his lap. "What's the matter?" Gideon asked him. Wyatt just shook his head and continued crying. "Please tell me."

Wyatt sniffled and said, "I had a nightmare."

Gideon looked down at him and said, "You could have woken me up. What was it about?"

Wyatt shook his head again and Gideon said, "Tell me. I want to know."

Wyatt looked at Gideon's face, noting the genuine concern in his face. "I-it was about you guys, s-sticking me back in that horrible place." Wyatt admitted softly.

Gideon understood completely, obviously Wyatt hated the orphanage. "Don't worry about that, I promise you that will never happen."

Wyatt nodded and said, "I start school today don't I?"

Gideon laughed and said, "At least you will know someone. And it's only a day until winter break."

Wyatt groaned, "I still have to go to school."

Clarice came down the stairs and said, "Stop complaining. Go make friends. You can't go through middle school with just Troy."

Wyatt just nodded, fears coming back. "Ugh, I'm going to have to see Mark again."

Gideon looked puzzled and said, "Mark?"

Wyatt frowned and said, "The bully from the orphanage."

Gideon said, "Oh. If he gives you any problems, any at all, tell me."

Clarice groaned as she looked out the window and said, "Malissa is home."

Gideon just groaned and Wyatt was excited that he got to meet his other sister. Malissa stumbled in, obviously drunk. Gideon noticed and said, "Wyatt, time to go get dressed." He picked Wyatt up and ran up the stairs, not trusting his sister while she was drunk.

He heard Carol yelling at her downstairs about staying gone for a week and then coming home drunk. Malissa yelled something back that was completely incoherent. Gideon just flinched as he helped Wyatt get dressed. He got dressed himself and groaned when he heard his stomach rumble which was quickly echoed by Wyatt's stomach.

"Ok, whatever you do, don't let anything she says bother you. She's drunk." Gideon heard her yell something else and said, "Really drunk."

Wyatt just nodded before following Gideon downstairs cautiously. Gideon groaned again when he noticed his sister was in the kitchen. He pulled Wyatt lightly and sat him at the farthest possible point from his sister. "What do you want for breakfast?" Gideon asked him lightly. "Anything at all."

"Waffles?" Wyatt suggested.

Gideon smiled and said, "Ok." Gideon got to work quickly, getting out the eggs and everything else he would need. He started mixing the batter as Malissa was stopped yelling for a moment and noticed Wyatt.

"Who the fuck is this?" Malissa spat in his direction.

Carol sighed and said, "That's Wyatt, your adoptive brother."

Malissa looked him over and said, "No wonder his parents ditched him, he's ugly as fuck."

The next thing Gideon heard was a slap and a thud. He turned around and Wyatt was on the floor, crying. Gideon rushed over and picked him up, hugging him close before glaring at Malissa, and hissing, "How dare you. You had ABSOLUTELY no right, at all, to lay your hands on Wyatt." his turning into a violent growl, flames starting to lick at his lips.

He was almost as shocked about that as the rest of the people in the room. Gideon just sighed and said, "Perfect, now my fricken ancient dragon traits are coming out again. God damnit!"

"Watch your language." Carol told him.

"Pardon my french." Gideon murmured. He was still glaring daggers at Malissa, he looked down at the crying Wyatt and asked, "You ok?"

Wyatt looked up and said, "Ya." He sniffled and Gideon helped him back into his chair. He walked back and finished the waffles, looking out of the corner of his eye to watch Malissa to make sure that she didn't lay on Wyatt but her and Clarice were just staring at him, shock in their eyes.

Gideon felt like a freak but he refused to let the feeling have any presence in his mind. He heard someone coming down the stairs and turned around to see Raymond. Gideon smiled as Raymond hugged him from behind and whispered, "Morning hun."

"Morning." Gideon whispered back as he took the last of the waffles off the waffle maker. "Alright," he added to Wyatt as he placed his waffles on the table in front of him, "breakfast is served."

He smiled as Wyatt dug in with his fork and practically tore the waffles apart. He gave Raymond some waffles before getting some for himself, leaving the rest for other people to get. Raymond and Wyatt were done before Gideon. Gideon quickly got more, he was starving for some reason.

Gideon groaned slightly as he felt a sharp pain in his stomach. His mother looked concerned and said, "Are you ok?"

Gideon nodded but groaned again when his back started to ache, at the base of his spine and right below his shoulders. Carol put and hand to his forehead and shook her head, "Go to bed, you're burning up."

Gideon sighed and said, "Fine." His back hurt again and he groaned, he reached a hand back and yelped as he felt a bump right where one of the pains were. "Mom, can you feel a bump right here?" He asked rubbing the spot. He took off his shirt and everyone in the room gasped.

"No, but we can see a bump." Clarice said, Gideon groaned again, "and it's growing."

Gideon sighed and said, "Guess I'm going wings." He felt a sharp pain at the base of his spine and said, "Ugh, and a tail."

Carol just looked concerned and said, "Just go up to bed, I'll call the school and Clarice can drop Raymond and Wyatt off."

Gideon sighed and said, "Ok."

Gideon reluctantly staggered up the stairs, the pain in his back being to much to handle he almost fell down. Raymond caught him from behind and helped him the rest of the way up the stairs, making sure he went back to bed. "Can you hand me my laptop?" Gideon managed to say between groans.

"Why?" Raymond asked as he picked it up.

"I'm gonna see if there was any recording on how long this took." Gideon said, pointing to his back and the base of his spine.

Raymond sighed and said, "I guess it's not going to be very comfortable sharing a bed with you."

Gideon nodded and said, "I'll let you and Wyatt sleep on the bed, I'll sleep on the futon until its over."

Raymond sighed and said, "Wyatt and I will be fine on the futon, you just, stay here."

Gideon pouted for a second before saying, "Fine." He flicked the screen up and started typing furiously while Raymond got on. Gideon groaned again, not in pain this time but in annoyance. "Ugh, this is gonna last for a week." He read a bit more than gagged on his own saliva. "Then I'm going to have to tear my back!" he exclaimed.

Raymond just looked at him, horror in his eyes. Gideon noticed and said, "The scales will grow back, it will just be incredibly painful." Gideon read a bit more than said, "Of course, if I don't do that it will be even more painful since my wings would eventually tear my skin anyways."

Raymond just flinched again, "Well, there is one good thing." Raymond said as he smiled.

"What?" Gideon asked him, seriously doubting there would be any bright sides at all to this painful transformation.

"Well," Raymond started, "you're going to be able to fly."

Gideon groaned, in pain this time. "I don't think its worth it."

Raymond said, "You're also going to be absent for the last week of school."

Gideon thought for a moment and said, "That's..." Gideon started but his words were replaced by another groan of pain, "totally not worth it."

Raymond sighed before giving up, "Do you want some pain medicine?"

Gideon nodded his head vigorously, "Yes please."

Raymond ran downstairs and asked Carol, "Do you guys have any pain medicine?"

Carol nodded and went to the medicine cabinet and pulled out a box of Tylenol. She took out two and said, "Here, and ask him to keep it down. Those groans are really loud."

Raymond sighed and said, "Apparently it's going to be like that for a week until his wings are fully grown."

Carol just sighed and said, "I'm probably going to have to get a lot more pain pills."

Raymond just said, "Most likely." He took the pain pills up to Gideon with a glass of water. Gideon was groaning non-stop now and Raymond had to cover his mouth so he would swallow the pills.

Gideon just groaned when he finally swallowed them and said, obviously in extreme pain, "Oh god this hurts." Gideon wasn't lying. It was excruciatingly painful.

Raymond looked concerned and said, "It will be over soon, try to sleep. It might be better."

Gideon just nodded before turning on to his side, clenching his teeth to stop the groans, and closing his eyes. The pain pills took effect and Gideon's breathing slowed to the regular speed for people who are sleeping.

Raymond walked downstairs and said, "Hopefully he'll sleep all day."

Carol just nodded and said, "Probably." She looked at the clock and said, "Come on, I'll drive you guys to school."

Raymond picked up his bag and helped Wyatt carry his school supplies, the middle schools still let out at normal times.

Wyatt just groaned and said, "I'm not looking forward to today."

Raymond just patted him on the back, "At least you know someone, I came to highschool not knowing anyone."

Wyatt looked up at him and said, "How did you meet Gideon?"

Raymond said, "He helped me find my classes." Wyatt just nodded. Raymond looked at Wyatt and noted the look of nervousness on his face. "Just, stick close to Troy. He's strong enough to protect you from bullies."

Wyatt just nodded and said, "I'm more afraid for him than myself."

Raymond looked puzzled but he figured it would be better if he didn't ask. They got into Carol's car and she drove them both to school, Wyatt first since he had to be there sooner. Wyatt looked out the window and smiled then groaned.

Troy was standing next to the door but standing halfway was Mark. Wyatt just looked at Raymond and Carol and asked, "Could Raymond help me take my stuff to my locker?"

Carol looked at the clock and said, "If he wants to."

Raymond looked at Wyatt and saw the horror in his eyes after looking at the white wolf and Raymond nodded, "Of course I will."

Raymond got out and took some of Wyatt's supplies. Carol went to park her car since it was probably going to take a while to navigate the three buildings that used to be Alton High. Wyatt was walking behind Raymond, Raymond at least ten feet ahead.

As Wyatt was walking past Mark, Mark noticed him and smirked. "Where are you going you little fag. I haven't payed you back for that dragon hitting me at the orphanage."

Wyatt dropped his stuff and squealed in pain as Mark landed a punch to his gut. Wyatt tried to kick at Mark but didn't make him budge. Raymond stopped and noticed the crowd and saw Wyatt being held up by the wolf and he growled. He recognized this white wolf and vaguely recalled Wyatt calling him Mark.

Oh yes, he knew this wolf. Raymond dropped Wyatt's stuff and pushed through the crowd, punching Mark in the face and catching Wyatt before he hit the ground. He set him down safely and then turned back to Mark who was growling now. "What the fuck are doing?" Mark spat at him, obviously not recognizing him. Yet.

"I'm helping my boyfriends little bro." Raymond said, calmly.

Mark looked him over for a little bit before a small light of recognition lit up his eyes. "Oh great, it's you."

Wyatt looked puzzled for a second before Mark tried to land a punch in on Raymond. Raymond caught his fist and flipped him. "That didn't work the last time you tried and it's not gonna work now."

"You know, dad always liked me best." Mark spat at him.

"And yet you were the one who wound up in the orphanage." Raymond said, letting go of the wolf's wrist. "Leave Wyatt alone if you know what's good for you. My boyfriend can be very, very violent."

Raymond helped Wyatt pick up his stuff, the crowd clearing instantly as Raymond walked past to pick up the stuff he had dropped. Once they grabbed the stuff off the step Wyatt said, "That's your brother?"

Raymond sighed and said, "By parents we are. I've hated him, actually hated him, ever since we were five."

Wyatt looked at him and asked, "Why?"

Raymond just sighed and said, "We were both in a Mixed Martial Arts class and he told the teacher something and got me kicked off."

Wyatt said, "Why does he hate you?"

Raymond smirked and said, "Cause I was always smarter, faster, and better at martial arts."

"Why was he put up for adoption?" Wyatt asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.

Raymond just grimaced and said, "My dad couldn't afford to have two children, and he costed more money." Wyatt just nodded. "Listen, don't let Gideon hear what happened." Wyatt looked puzzled and Raymond sighed, "He's in a bunch of pain and if he hears what happens he'll be down here in an instant waiting for Mark."

Wyatt just nodded and said, "Ok."

"So, why is everyone so afraid of Mark?" Raymond asked curiously.

Wyatt sighed and said, "He's the biggest bully in the school."

Raymond just nodded as Troy joined them. Troy hugged Wyatt from behind, ignoring the stares he got, and said, "Hiya."

Wyatt turned his head and smiled back at Troy, "Hey yourself."

Raymond just chuckled and walked a head a little bit. Troy took Wyatt into the secretary's office so Wyatt could get his class list and his locker number.

Raymond walked behind Wyatt, looking for his locker. He noticed all the hostile stares Wyatt was getting and decided to step up and asked, "Why are all these people looking at you like that?"

Wyatt just looked back at him and said, "Somehow it got out that I was gay already."

Troy just blushed and said, "I'm pretty sure we covered that when you got here."

Wyatt nodded and groaned, "Well, I just hope no one does anything to hurt me."

Raymond just nodded and said, very loud, "Your older brother is very violent."

Obviously the kids got the message as they cowered away from Wyatt. Wyatt just smirked and said, "Good idea, I think it would have been better if they had seen Gideon."

"Wyatt, in a week everyone is going to be terrified of Gideon." Raymond said.

Wyatt just nodded and Troy looked puzzled, "Why?"

"Well, apparently, some ancient dragon thing is happening to Gideon and he's growing wings and a tail." Raymond told him.

Troy was shocked for a second before shaking his head and saying, "That's cool."

Raymond shook his head and said, "He's in an incredible amount of pain."

Troy just said, "Ok."

Wyatt got to his locker and piled everything into his locker. Raymond ruffled his head fur and said, "Cya later kit."

Wyatt just said, "Ok."

Raymond left and walked to where Carol parked her car. She was tapping her fingers on the steering wheel impatiently. "What took so long?" she yelled out the window as he walked down the steps.

Raymond hopped in and said, "I had stop some kid from beating the... crap... out of Wyatt."

Carol looked concerned and Raymond said, "His old orphanage bully. I made sure he wouldn't do anything. I also made sure Wyatt wouldn't tell Gideon. If he did Gideon would be down here tomorrow before school started."

Carol just nodded and said, "That he would."

The rest of the ride was silent. Raymond got out once at the high school and murmured a quick, "Bye." to Carol before running up the steps.

He walked into the locker room, remembering Gideon's warning about the showers he had brought a stick of deodorant, and changed. He sat next to the teacher that was in the locker room while he was waiting for class to start.

He heard the bell ring and rushed out, ready to do the regular exercises. He was shocked when the gym teacher announced that they were playing basketball today. Raymond grinned since he was probably going to be picked last even though he could have beaten Gideon at basketball easily enough, and that was saying something.

As predicted he was chosen last but wasn't put on the bench. He got the ball and dribbled down the court, dodging the defenders easily. He took a shot from the three point line and a second later heard the ball swish in the basket.

Everyone looked at him, obviously shocked, and he just grinned. He was really good at basketball. The girls in the class were all sitting out, watching the boys play and everyone looked at Raymond even more.

They knew he was gay but they still wished he wasn't. Raymond blocked a shot that was made by an offender and passed the ball to another one of his teammates who lost the ball almost instantly. Raymond took it back, from one of the players on the basketball team no less, and ran towards the right basket, dribbling low so that it was harder to take.

He noticed someone was open and passed the ball to them, right between a defender's legs. His teammate took the shot and missed, Raymond got the ball and took another shot and listened to the swish, satisfied. The score was 5 to 0 and Raymond knew it was only going to get higher.

The opposing team started trying even harder, still losing the ball every time they passed, not always to Raymond. The rest of his teammates were starting to get useful. One of his teammates got some points, cheering when they made a shot.

Raymond got the ball again and was body checked by one of the bigger furs on the other team. The coach called a foul and he stood up unhindered, much to the dismay of the other team. He got looks of shock from his teammates as he stepped up to the free throw line, the others taking their positions.

He shot two perfect shots and the game started again. By the end of gym the score was 42 to 13, Raymond scoring the last shot. Raymond was patted on the back by his teammates and received threatening glares from the opposing team.

He walked into the locker room and started to change, applying the deodorant and pulling on his clothes. When he turned around he saw three of the bigger jocks in his class standing behind him. "Think you can show us up you little fag."

Raymond just looked into his eyes calmly and said, "Apparently I did, otherwise you would have won."

This just got him growls from the three bigger lions. One of them tried to punched him but he evaded it easily, after the small fight he had with Mark that morning and after dodging in basketball his reflexes were at their best.

The jock ended up punching the locker, howling in pain as Raymond heard a soft snap. He didn't have time to be satisfied as one of the jocks moved to punch him the gut, Raymond couldn't block it since he was backed up against the lockers between two benches.

He took the hit and just calmly breathed deeply, taking the beating they were giving him. With each hit he felt a little bit more pain. The jock was wearing out faster than he was however and was exhausted by the time Raymond had started to tremble in pain. The other jock punched him in the face, the first jock holding him now so that he couldn't move. Raymond may have been good at martial arts but couldn't overpower the jock.

The other jock just kept hitting him in the face and gut, Raymond started to feel the pain extremely well now but managing to stay conscious. The teacher came in then and yelled at the jocks, "What's going on here?"

The jocks instantly dropped Raymond and said, "Nothing sir."

The teacher just nodded and examined Raymond. Raymond groaned in pain and the coach looked up at them and said, "Go to the principle's office, now."

The jocks just growled and left while the coach helped Raymond up and led him to the nurse's office. The nurse looked concerned at Raymond's injuries and said, "You're not going to stay here today."

Raymond just groaned and said, "Fine." The nurse called Carol and she was there to pick him up quickly, obviously concerned about Raymond. "I'm fine." he kept telling her, over and over again.

She still looked concerned but was silent the rest of the way home. They got home and Raymond said, "I'm going to take a shower, I don't want Gideon to see me like this."

Carol understood why. Raymond went to take a nice, hot shower. He ended up leaning his head against the wall wearily. He hated trying to ignore pain, it took so much out of you. He finished his shower and wondered how Wyatt was doing.

*****************************************************************************

Wyatt was walking to his second class, tears watering his eyes. He had been picked on all morning. He was excited to see Troy in his next class and quickly moved to sit next to him. Troy just looked at him, concern painting his face after seeing the tears in his eyes.

Troy's hand moved up to wipe the tears out of his eyes and said, "Are you ok, hun?" Troy asked him, getting disgusted glares from all the kids around them.

Wyatt just nodded and said, "I've just been getting picked on all morning."

Troy just nodded and said, "At least today is the last day before winter break."

Wyatt just nodded and said, "Lunch is next, thank god, I'm fricken starving."

A burst of laughter came from a group of kids who were huddling near and Wyatt was grateful that he hadn't heard what they said. He didn't want to get angry. His anger always got the best of him.

Wyatt just sighed and said, "I'm going to be picked on a lot for the rest of the year."

"Well," Troy said, "at least everyone is afraid to lay a hand on you."

"I don't want Gideon to come here, I don't want him to get in trouble." Wyatt said.

Troy just snorted and said, "At least you have him as a brother. He's so huge."

There was more snickering and Wyatt, once again, was happy he hadn't heard. "I'm pretty sure they're making sexual comments." Wyatt said.

Troy just snickered and said, "Who cares?" Troy leaned in and kissed Wyatt on the cheek, getting "Ooohs" from the girls and glares of disgust from the boys. Troy pulled off just as the teacher came in and said, "Pull out your math books."

Wyatt looked at the large, slightly chubby, orange and black tiger, each stripe getting thicker as they ran down his body. He was very muscular with head fur running around his neck like a mane.

Wyatt just took out his book and opened to the correct page. Wyatt just sighed, he had done this lesson already. He skipped through the book to the end and just about laughed. He was holding back a laugh and Troy noticed. "What?"

Wyatt calmed down a bit and said, "I've already done this book."

Troy just stared and said, "Really?"

Wyatt nodded and said, "At the orphanage we did school year round, every day. Only a few kids got to actually go to real school. I finished this book in fourth grade."

Troy just nodded and said, "Well, looks like we're two A+ students."

The teacher asked Wyatt what the answer to the question was on the bored. Wyatt just sighed and looked at the question before saying, "46."

The teacher looked in his book and said, "Correct."

The students all just looked at him considering he hadn't even gotten his book back to the right page and he didn't have a paper or pencil on his desk. The kids sitting next to them snickered again.

The teacher told them what assignment they would have, apparently he wasn't big on giving them notes. Wyatt just pulled out a piece of paper and wrote down 1-30. He then started going through the answers, answering every one without even working them out.

He was done in five minutes and he stood up to give the teacher his homework. The teacher looked up as he approached and raised his eyebrow, "Yes?"

"I'm finished Mr. Anderson." Wyatt said.

"Oh really?" Mr. Anderson said sarcastically. "Looks like we have someone who's finished already." He added the last part louder so everyone could hear. "Let's see what he got."

Every one in the class snickered and Wyatt leaned calmly against the desk as Mr. Anderson checked the answers. As he checked off the last one he looked up at Wyatt in complete shock. "A+"

The class gasped, considering he had finished at least one hour faster than anyone else, including Troy. "Check his book for answers." One kid shouted. "Check him for a calculator." another said.

Wyatt just sighed and went to get his brand new math book. He opened it for the teacher to look at, no answers were written. His teacher had him turn out his pockets, no calculator. A student searched his desk, still no calculator. The students just continued looking at him shocked and Mr. Anderson said, "Feel free to skip ahead. I'll grade any homework assignments you get done."

Wyatt just smirked before going back to sit down, pulling out at least fourteen pieces of paper. He looked at the clock. He had one hour and forty five minutes to do as much as possible. He numbered his paper to thirty and once again, answered all the questions.

He put his homework assignment off to the side and started on another one. He did the same thing, completing at least one lesson every ten minutes. By the time the class only had five minutes left he had completed seventeen lessons.

He took them up to the teacher who looked at him and took the papers, counting them. The teacher looked at him shocked before announcing to the class. "Seventeen homework assignments. Lets see how well he did."

The teacher started grading, moving through the lessons furiously. It took him the rest of the class to finish grading them and he stood up and started putting each paper down on his desk, saying the grade as he did, "A+, A, A+, A, A, A, A+, A+, A, A-, A+, A+, B, B, A+, A, A-."

The class just stared as the bell rang and Wyatt collected the assignments and gathered his stuff. He was the first one out of the class, Troy shortly following him. "Jesus Wyatt, Eighteen above average grades in one class period. You'll be done with the book by the time we go on Spring break."

Wyatt just laughed and said, "I told you, I finished that book in fourth grade. There was nothing to do in that fucking orphanage besides homework."

"How long were you there?" Troy blurted out, his curiosity getting the better of him.

Wyatt's ears lowered and he said, "I was there for a year when I was seven, then got adopted for a few weeks, went back and repeated the routine, being adopted for the same amount of time each time. After third grade I never got adopted again until now."

Troy just felt incredibly sorry and hugged him tightly. A teacher saw them and, a look of disgust on his face, said, "No public displays of affection in school."

Troy just giggled and they walked down to lunch, ignoring the stares as they walked, paw in paw. Of course there wasn't anything good but they did have BBQ Sandwiches, which were better than nothing. Of course everyone got out of the line as the two open fags of the school walked up.

They practically got to the front because no one wanted to be near them. Wyatt looked at prices for food as Troy reluctantly grabbed the cheapest thing on the menu. Wyatt looked at him and said, "You know, Carol gave me more than enough money that I can pay for you. If you want something better go ahead."

Troy smiled at Wyatt and said, "Thanks."

Wyatt just laughed and said, "No problem. Besides, you are my boyfriend." he said the word boyfriend loud enough for everyone behind them to hear and gave a delighted laugh as all the guys stumbled back to be far away from them.

Wyatt just laughed as Troy got better food and Wyatt got better food himself. They walked over to the lunch lady who was acting as cashier and Wyatt payed her the money for his and Troy's food.

They sat down at an empty lunch table and started to eat, after a moment a rabbit, obviously shy, came over to the table and said, "Is this seat taken."

The rabbit had grayish fur covering his body except for a small patch of white on his right cheek, he was very slim, obviously not muscular, and looked like he was starving to death.

Troy looked at Wyatt and said, "Of course not."

The rabbit sat down with his tray and started eating. "What's your name?" Wyatt asked him.

"It's ummm, it's Chad." The slim rabbit said.

"Hi Chad, I'm Wyatt." Wyatt said, holding out his paw.

"I know, we have math class together. Congratulations on getting all those lessons done, by the way." Wyatt just smirked. Chad looked at Troy and said, "I'm guessing your Troy?"

Troy just nodded and took the small rabbit's paw and smiled. "Why aren't you sitting with your friends?" Troy asked.

The rabbit just looked nervous and said, "I told them to stop making jokes about you guys and they told me they didn't want me as a friend anymore."

Wyatt just looked shocked and said, "Well, you can hang out with us if you like."

The rabbit smiled and said, "Thanks."

Lunch was spent in silence, the rabbit occasionally asking a question that made Wyatt laugh and reply with a simple, "Yes."

Near the end of lunch when Troy and Wyatt were finished Wyatt leaned his head onto Troy's shoulder and Troy reached his arm around Wyatt's shoulder. The only teacher down there was a female elephant and she just gave them a smile and walked away.

Troy just looked down at Wyatt and snickered, "Don't you love corrupted teachers."

Wyatt looked up and said, "She's not corrupted. We're just to cute to be together without causing girls to go crazy."

Troy whispered, "You're enough to do that."

Wyatt blushed and Chad said, "Still at the table."

Troy just laughed and kissed Wyatt very softly on the lips as the bell rang. Wyatt murred softly into the kiss before they broke it off and walked upstairs to the gym. Thankfully they didn't have to shower or change out into gym clothes in sixth grade.

They were playing dodge ball that day. Wyatt grinned again. Dodgeball. This was his favorite sport.

They were divided into teams and unfortunately Troy and he were separated. Wyatt just looked at Troy apologetically which made Troy very confused. They got to the lines on the opposite sides of the walls, everyone steering clear of Wyatt.

Wyatt just grinned as the coach blew his whistle and he took off, at the line before anyone else was even halfway. He picked up the ball and threw the ball as hard as he could at the closest person to the line.

The kid didn't even see the ball until it bounced off his chest, painfully. By the time Wyatt had gotten him out people on the enemy team had reached the line. Their main target was Wyatt, the fag on the opposite team. What they didn't expect was Wyatt to catch the first ball thrown at him then deflect the rest.

Wyatt grinned again and threw the ball. It was a very avoidable but it Troy in the chest, lightly. That had been Wyatt's goal. He didn't want Troy to get hurt.

Another ball was thrown at him and he slid to the left, grabbing the ball as it bounced off the wall. He deflected one more ball thrown at him and threw the ball he held, a big red blur against the yellow walls. It hit someone on the leg, causing them to trip.

Wyatt just smirked and dodged the balls that were flying all around him. One by one his teammates got out, soon leaving him the only person on the team, just the way he wanted it.

He smirked as he saw every person on the other team grab a dodgeball. Everyone threw at the exact same time. Wyatt dodged out of the way, catching one. He threw the ball and knocked someone out. He quickly grabbed another one and launched it towards another person. Perfect accuracy every time.

He just kept moving and throwing, getting someone out on almost every throw, sometimes just barely dodging a ball. The game continued on, the spectators staring in shock as Wyatt threw ball after ball.

It finally came down to two people. Each had a ball. Wyatt grinned as the boy looked uncertain. Wyatt threw the ball as hard as he could, to the right of the boy. The boy just walked right into it. Wyatt's team cheered as the boy got out and they all patted Wyatt on the back, not caring if he was gay.

Troy, of course, came up and hugged him while the coach wasn't looking. "Where did you learn to play dodgeball like that?"

Wyatt just grinned and said, "Well, when you practice you reflexes as much as I did it just comes naturally."

Troy didn't believe him but he took it for now. The bell rang and they all departed from the gymnasium. Wyatt and Troy walked to their last class of the day, reading. Wyatt really didn't see the point in this class. He already read at a post highschool reading level. He just took out the book he had brought from Gideon's small collection and walked into the classroom.

The teacher was a massive, female black bear with green eyes. She was pretty in her own way but she wasn't what straight guys would call hot.

Obviously the teacher just had them silent read the whole time. Wyatt read his book, finding it very interesting, and when there were only five minutes left of the class she stood up and said, "Ok, time to share."

She looked over the class and he rose his hand. She noticed and called him up. "What book are you reading Wyatt?"

Wyatt held up the large, trilogy book called, The Sword of Shannara, by Terry Brooks. The class saw how big it was and just stared at him. "My book is called The Sword of Shannara. It takes place in a time after our time, in a world ravaged by nuclear wars."

The teacher just nodded and said, "Would you like to read part of it to the class?"

Wyatt just looked at her an nodded, "Sure."

He opened up to where he was and started reading, pronouncing every word perfectly, his voice changing tone when he was speaking for a character or describing a landscape. The teacher was shocked at the way Wyatt read. The words in this book were large and she could barely pronounce some but he pronounced them without any hesitation.

When the bell rang he put his bookmark in and picked up his stuff from his desk. He walked out with Troy and Troy said, "Are you sure you're supposed to be in sixth?"

Wyatt laughed and nodded.

"You do realize that you could be in seventh or eight right?" Troy said, "You completed lessons in math that would have taken anyone else a week to do, or more, and read a book that our teacher could barely read."

Wyatt laughed again and said, "I want to go through school with you."

Troy was touched and said, "Thank you."

Wyatt said, "No problem." He saw Clarice pull up and said, "Here's my ride."

He hugged him and kissed him full on the lips. In the car Clarice's lips turned up in a smile as Wyatt climbed in the car. "You two are cute together."

Wyatt blushed and said, "W-what?"

Clarice took her turn to laugh and said, "Don't lie. I saw you two on Saturday." Wyatt just blushed again. "I don't know why you didn't tell us. We know Gideon is gay."

Wyatt nodded and said, "How is Gideon?"

Clarice just sighed and said, "Thrashing in his sleep."

Wyatt just nodded. It was silent in the car for the rest of the ride.

Gideon woke up, a cold sweat soaking his skin. He groaned as he looked down and saw some more of his scales had come off. It hadn't said anything about completely losing scales. Raymond came in with some more pain medicine.

"Take this." Raymond said. Gideon quickly took them and swallowed. He was instantly relieved.

"How was school hun?" Gideon asked.

"Well, we played basketball in gym." Raymond said.

Gideon just smirked and said, "Did you win?"

Raymond just said, "Ya. Oh and of course, those jocks beat the shit out of me afterwards."

Gideon's face grew cold and it looked like he was about to get up but Raymond made sure he didn't. "You're not going anywhere."

Gideon just sighed and lay back down. Raymond turned to go and Gideon pulled him onto the bed and said, "You're not going anywhere either."

Raymond just snuggled up closer and said, "As long as you don't start thrashing around I'm fine."

Gideon said, "I'm not gonna thrash, the pain doesn't bother me as much now." Gideon's lie was betrayed by a sharp pain where his tail was growing that made him groan.

Raymond just smirked and said, "It'll only last a week."

Gideon looked at Raymond and said, "ONLY a week. That's gonna feel like an eternity to me."

Raymond smiled up at Gideon and said, "How about I stay with you? That should make time go faster."

Raymond snuggled closer into Gideon and Gideon said, "That would make time go faster."

Raymond said, "Good, because I'm not going to school the rest of the week anyway."

Gideon looked puzzled and said, "Why?"

"Because, the jocks are still angry and I don't want you getting angry enough to go down there." Raymond said, "I don't want you to hurt yourself."

"Stand up for a minute Raymond." Gideon said. Raymond did as he was told and Gideon smirked at him and said, "Watch." Gideon rolled over onto his back and concentrated for a minute before exhaling sharply. Raymond jumped back as the flame grew in the air and dissipated before touching the ceiling.

"Wow, that's gonna take some getting used to." Raymond said.

Gideon smiled at him and said, "Be happy I can control it now."

Raymond just looked at him and said, "A day of practice and you can control it?"

Gideon just smirked and said, "Yes, its not that hard."

Raymond said, "Good, I can do this without risk then."

Raymond laid down next to Gideon and kissed him passionately, their tongues exploring the inside of each other's moist maws, sometimes moving together and twisting around each other. Gideon's thin tongue and Raymond's fat tongue wrestled until Raymond couldn't take it anymore and pulled off for air.

Raymond panted as he laid back down next to Gideon and snuggled into him again. "That was amazing." Gideon whispered into his ears.

"Isn't... every... kiss we... share amazing?" Raymond asked.

"Yes, but that was the most amazing one yet." Gideon whispered into his ears again.

Raymond just said, "Well it helps when you have the most amazing boyfriend ever."

Gideon smirked and barked a quick laugh, he settled his head on Raymond's head and said, "I'm tired."

Raymond just smiled and said, "Then go to sleep. I'll be here when you wake up."

Gideon was happy he had met someone as great as Raymond and managed to have such a great relationship with him. With those thoughts in his head, he fell into a very deep sleep. Raymond heard him snoring and dug himself out from under Gideon, not trusting him to not thrash in his sleep.

Raymond walked downstairs just as Clarice and Wyatt got home. He went to sit in the living room and Wyatt sat next to him, his eyes watering. "Are you ok?" Raymond asked him.

Wyatt looked over and nodded. "I'm fine. I'm just venting."

Raymond understood and said, "If you want to cry go ahead. Don't bottle emotions up."

Wyatt just shook his head and said, "I'm just remembering some of the things I got called today."

Raymond nodded and told him, "Well, as long as they don't lay a hand on you I'm fine, and so is Gideon."

Wyatt smirked and said, "You took care of that this morning."

Raymond laughed and said, "Did I really intimidate them that much?"

Wyatt nodded and said, "They were scared shitless."

"Ahem!" Clarice said as she entered the room, "I don't want to hear that kind of language young man."

Wyatt just looked at her and blushed, "Sorry."

"Just watch your tongue." Clarice said as she sat down. "Now, what did Raymond do this morning that scared the people at your school?"

"He stopped a bully from beating the heck out of me." Wyatt said.

"Oh?" Clarice said, "How old was this bully?"

Raymond held up his hands defensively and said, "He was only a year younger than me."

Clarice nodded, "Good." She looked back to Wyatt and said, "How was your first day at Alton Middle?"

Wyatt just shrugged, "Troy and I managed to screw up my reputation by lunch."

"How?" Clarice asked.

"Well, first, we decided to show everyone just how we felt about each other." Wyatt grimaced, "That didn't help. Then during math, I decided to show just how smart I was and ended up doing eighteen lessons before class was over."

Clarice and Raymond both looked shocked and said, "What were the grades?"

"Every one was A- or above except for two." Wyatt said, "I've already done the book."

Clarice smiled, "OK, don't you want to go to a book that you haven't done yet?"

Wyatt shook his head vigorously, "I want to go through school with Troy."

Raymond smiled at this and said, "Well, have fun going through seven years of school with him."

Wyatt made a face and Raymond laughed. "Seven years of school. I don't think I'm going to be able to take that."

Raymond patted him on the back, "You'll survive."

Wyatt said, "Until Gideon can't protect me anymore."

Raymond sighed and said, "Gideon will always try and protect you, even after he's out of highschool."

Wyatt smiled and said, "Well then, I'm happy to have a brother like him."

Raymond smiled back and said, "I'm happy to have a boyfriend like him."

Wyatt, obviously done venting his leftover emotions from the day, leaned his head onto Clarice's stomach. She was a bit shocked but she let him do it. About half a minute later they heard snoring and Clarice had to suppress a laugh. "Can you take him upstairs?"

Raymond nodded and picked him up, very carefully. They walked up the stairs and at the top were met by Malissa, who had obviously just woken up. Malissa noticed Wyatt in Raymond's arms and said, "Can you tell him I said sorry for the way I acted this morning?"

"Once he wakes up." Raymond said, smiling at her. "He knew you were drunk though, so he might have forgiven you already."

Malissa's obvious relief showed on her face. She turned around to get Madison out of her room, Raymond could hear her daughter crying. He walked into Gideon's room, careful not wake Wyatt as he laid him gently on the bed.

Gideon was still fast asleep, not thrashing or making any movements at all. He had lost all of his scales by now and his gray skin showed.

Raymond laid down on the futon next to Wyatt and was surprised to feel Wyatt pushing into his body. Raymond had a strong desire to put his arm around Wyatt but he resisted and flipped over before lying down again.

A few hours of sleep before dinner wouldn't hurt.

*****************************************************************************

"Wake up Raymond." Clarice said, shaking Raymond awake.

"What's up?" Raymond asked groggily, the words sounding more like ‘wassup.'

"It's dinner time." Clarice said, laughing at Raymond's almost incoherent words.

"What are we having?" Raymond asked again, the after-sleep grogginess slowly disappearing.

"Fried chicken, mash potatoes, and corn." Clarice said.

Raymond jumped up eagerly. That was his favorite meal, mostly because he loved mashed potatoes, but fried chicken was always good too. "Awesomeness."

Raymond turned and picked Wyatt up, making sure to shake him when he did. Wyatt woke up with a yelp and glared at Raymond, "What was that for?" All grogginess had left his body from the fear of being shaken in the air as he woke up.

"Dinner time." Raymond said, laughing at Wyatt.

Wyatt said, "What are we having."

"Fried chicken, mash potatoes, and corn." Raymond said, walking to the door. "Now, let's go."

Wyatt yawned and followed Raymond out the door and down the stairs, purposely stepping on the step that creaked just to annoy Raymond. When Wyatt did step on it Raymond cringed at the sound. He glared at Wyatt and said, "You know that hurts my ears."

Wyatt just snickered and walked into the kitchen. He was met by the wonderful smells of chicken and mash potatoes and was shocked to see that there was another dragon and a bear sitting at the table.

Carol looked up as she sat two more plates down on the table and said, "Wyatt, there's someone I want you to meet." She wiped her hands on her apron and walked over to Wyatt and said, "Wyatt," she pointed to the big dragon, "this is Alec, another one of your brothers."

Alec stood up and smiled at him, he held out his hand and said, "Hi Wyatt."

"H-hi." Wyatt stuttered, the big dragon looked almost exactly like his adoptive father except his eyes were softer.

"And this," Carol said, pointing to the bear, "is Charlie, his fiancé."

Clarice choked on the soda she was drinking and yelled, "You never told me they were getting married!"

Malissa grimaced and said, "She never told me he got kicked out, she just said he ran away."

Clarice hugged her brother and said, "Congratulations." She then turned and glared at her mother, when were you going to tell me he was getting married?"

Carol grimaced and said, "Eventually."

"Where's dad?" Alec asked suddenly.

"He's on a business trip." Carol said.

Alec nodded and looked at the stairs as Gideon came down, Alec noticed he didn't have any scales and said, "What happened to you?"

Gideon just grimaced and said, "Apparently, in the process of growing wings and a tail I also molt all my scales and grow new ones."

Alec looked shocked and said, "Wings and a tail?"

Gideon nodded and said, "Oh ya, and the ability to breathe fire."

Alec just shook his head and said, "I don't believe that."

He looked up just in time to see Gideon take a deep breath and exhale sharply. He jumped back when fire came out of Gideon's muzzle and he said, "Believe me now?"

Alec nodded and said, "Just, don't do that again."

Gideon snickered and said, "Dinner smells good mom." He noticed Charlie and said, "Who's this?"

Alec cleared his throat and said, "He's my fiancé."

Gideon hugged Alec tightly and said "Congratulations."

Alec just grunted and said, "Can't... breathe."

Gideon loosened up and blushed, "Sorry."

"You're stronger than you look." Alec said, rubbing his arms. "Anyways, do you know how long it will take for your scales to grow back?"

Gideon nodded and said, "My scales should regrow within a week after my wings are out and my tail is grown."

"Good, you will be back to somewhat normal before my wedding." Alec smiled.

"Oh ya, I'll just have wings and a tail." Gideon said sarcastically.

Alec laughed, "You'll also have to get a new tux."

Gideon groaned and said, "Gosh darnet, the regular ones cost enough."

Alec laughed and said, "If it's to much I'll pay for it."

Gideon grinned and said, "It won't be to much."

Clarice cleared her throat and tapped her foot impatiently. "Can you two sit down so we can eat before our food gets cold?"

Alec grinned at her and said, "Fine."

They both sat down and Carol finished putting the food on the table. She sat down and said, "Dig in."

They all started eating the food, Charlie spoke up and said, "Once again, delicious... mom."

Gideon could tell it was awkward for him to say that and Carol laughed, "If you don't feel right calling me mom then you can call me Carol."

Charlie let out a huge sigh of relief and said, "Ok."

They continued eating, multiple conversations going on at one time. Wyatt made sure to avoid the subject of school, not wanting to repeat what had happened at school in front of Gideon, afraid that Gideon would end up going down there just so that everyone could see just how big he was.

Without his scales, Gideon looked even more intimidating then he did with his scales, his muscles more defined. Of course, Gideon looked completely silly without his scales. Gideon was obviously enjoying the meal, letting out quiet groans of pain before asking, "So, why are you here today Alec?"

Alec replied with, "Mom said she had the number for a caterer that would cater me and Charlie's wedding."

Gideon nodded and said, "So much discrimination against gays nowadays."

Alec laughed and said, "Of course. People fear what they don't understand."

Gideon nodded again and took his turn to laugh, "And understand what they should fear."

Alec nodded and said, "Nuclear weapons are an example of that."

Gideon nodded and started muttering under his breath and Wyatt thought he heard, "Me" trailing at the end.

Gideon turned to Wyatt and asked, "How did your first day of school go?"

Wyatt just grinned and said, "What could any day school be besides horrible?"

Gideon laughed and said, "Good point."

Wyatt ate the rest of the meal in silence but Gideon was jabbering on about this and that and complaining about the pain he felt. "I wish the pain medicine would work."

Carol put down her fork and put her hand against Gideon's head and pulled it back like she had touched a hot stove. "It's probably not working because your body is burning it out to fast. Are you sure you feel fine?"

Gideon nodded and said, "I feel perfect. The heat is probably there to get my body accustomed to breathing fire." Gideon was just suggesting the last part but it seemed to fit perfectly so Carol just guessed that that was it.

Gideon groaned again and Carol said, "Maybe a sleeping pill would help you sleep, that way, you could sleep the week away and not feel the pain."

Gideon thought for a moment before saying, "As long as it doesn't damage my body I'm fine."

Carol grinned and said, "Sleeping for a week will damage your body, but I think losing a few pounds would be good."

Gideon was also a little chubby without his scales and he stuck out his tongue. Carol fished some sleeping pills off the top shelf of the medicine cabinet and took out two. She poured Gideon a small glass of water to help wash the semi-large pills down his throat.

She handed Gideon the pills and he took them, swallowing them quickly so the pain would lessen. "Thanks mom." Gideon said. He got up to go to bed and started stumbling up the stairs.

Carol looked worried and said, "I guess giving him two was a bad idea. That should put him to sleep for a week without taking another pill."

Raymond looked at her and said, "Then why did you give him two?"

"I expected the heat to burn them off." Carol said.

"Well, let's just hope he doesn't get hurt." Alec said, sounding concerned even though he hadn't known his brother for more than a month yet.

Carol looked at the clock and jumped up, "It took us so long to eat. Time for bed, Raymond, Wyatt."

Raymond grinned and said, "The nurse said I shouldn't come back to school."

Carol looked confused and said, "Why? Just because those jocks beat you up today doesn't mean they will tomorrow."

Raymond told her, "She's afraid the jocks will try it again. Mostly because we're going to be doing the exact same thing we did today, tomorrow and I will totally win again."

Carol nodded and said, "Fine, but you," she said, pointing to Wyatt, "still have school tomorrow, then your off for what? Three weeks?"

Wyatt nodded and she just said, "Well, looks like I'll have to go Christmas shopping tomorrow."

Raymond grinned and said, "Remember not to buy anything to wear for Gideon unless it's a hat."

Carol looked confused before remembering his wings and groaned, "We're going to have to special order clothes for him."

Raymond and Wyatt just laughed as they walked upstairs and Wyatt looked at Raymond, confused, and said, "Why are you going to bed, you don't have school."

Raymond looked at him and said, "You and I have to share a bed and I don't want to wake you up in the middle of the night."

Wyatt just nodded and said, "Maybe I'll get to spend some time with Troy."

Raymond nodded and said, "You definitely will." Raymond grinned at him and said, "Gideon's gonna throw a party New Years eve. He's been talking about it for weeks."

"Cool." Wyatt yawned, thinking about seeing Troy again as he slowly drifted into a world of happiness and dreams for the night.

Raymond looked down at the sleeping Wyatt and couldn't help but smile. He was incredibly cute awake and asleep. Raymond just sat staring at Wyatt for a while, listening to his breathing pattern. It didn't take long for Raymond to fall asleep himself.

Alright, I realize that I probably rushed this story and made a few grammatical errors somewhere that I can't find, I don't think I mixed scenes because of the main point of the chapter. Anyways, please give positive and negative feedback. A writer can never get better if he/she doesn't get criticism.
