Summary: Rik starts going to a café where more than coffee and cakes are present...

Story:

The café shone through the grey morning, a guiding light to warmer circumstances. The rain pattered softly on Rik's fur as he looked through the window, pondering whether or not to go inside. The customers were either sitting at neatly arranged tables at the upper platform or, two inches below them, sitting in comfortable-looking, neatly arranged, plush red sofas. All of them were chatting amiably, drinking coffee or tea and munching on snacks. The orangey lighting made it all the more welcoming, but what sold it was the elaborate menu standing proudly on the glass display counter next to the till. Even from a few feet away through the rain-drenched window he could see a good page and a half of coffee and cakes on offer, and that didn't include the tantalising strudels, cheesecakes and biscuits on display. Rik wandered inside and deliberated over the menu, eventually coming to a decision as the cashier waddled over.

"I'll have a mocha and some orange cheesecake, please," he requested. The cashier nodded and wobbled over to the coffee machine, turning it on. The clicks and whirrs of the grinder filled the café with monotonous white noise as the cashier bent over to retrieve a slice of orange cheesecake from inside the display counter. She tapped some keys on the till.

"That'll be £1.80, lovely," she boomed. Rik handed her the cash then took his coffee and cake and sat down at the two-chair table nearest the window. He looked out at the dull world outside, counting the raindrops sliding down the glass. It wasn't just the sky that was grey - it was the people as well, too preoccupied with jobs and phones that didn't work and schedules to bring some colour, some fun into their lives. A group of friends, however, looked almost vibrant; they were chatting, laughing, coming this way, opening the door...

Rik quickly brought his attention back to the orange layer of the cheesecake that he oh-so-loved as one of the bigger men, a huge wolf with practically spherical biceps, tusk-like bottom canine teeth, thicker lower lip and furrowed eyebrows, neared him. Rik hadn't thought about how close he was to the counter, and now the man was practically sitting on the fox's table while his smaller friends crowded around him. They were hammering on about one thing or another - mainly that hot girl with big tits or whatever - as they were served.

Or, they would have been served if the lady behind the counter wasn't currently not behind the counter.

The man right next to Rik impatiently rang the countertop bell.

"Ugh, what's taking her so long?" he grumbled loudly. Rik watched him as he paced a little, checking his phone, sighing exasperatedly. It was a little annoying.

"Excuse me, sir, but I think it's best if you just wait," Rik pointed out. The man turned slowly and Rik felt his pants tighten. There was something about him...

"What was that?"

"N-nothing. Absolutely nothing. Carry on."

Although there was a notable improvement in the wolf's behaviour as he waited. Finally, after minutes on end, the cashier dithered her way over. He forced himself to put on feigned patience as he made his order. The woman bobbed away again to prepare the snacks, and they bustled over to what became one long table comprised of three square tables. And that was that. Nothing more happened, nothing of interest or concern.

Except when they left.

The wolf gave Rik a somewhat long glance as he walked through the door, disappearing into the grey and the gloom. But just that look, that expression, sent tingles down Rik's spine - making his pants pull tighter. He finished the last few crumbs of his cheesecake then left, his hands shoved into his pockets to disguise the growing bulge. The rain had turned to a dull drizzle as he stepped out from under the front awning and made his way home, full and content and very, very hard.

The same thing happened the next few days, except the wolf chose tables closer and closer to the fox's usual spot until he was directly in front, and Rik could hear every word of their conversations.

"Didja see that gorgeous blonde with them juicy tits waking over to me at that pool party? Fuck, man, I was so hard!"

"Nah mate, I reckon you'd do better with a few cocks in your mouth," the wolf remarked in jest. Rik almost spat out his coffee.

"Yeah, man, I saw you lookin' at that guy earlier on. Looked so thirsty," another friend teased.

"Fuck you guys."

Rik swallowed his coffee before biting back a fit of laughter. Hearing a soft giggle behind him, the wolf turned around.

"Glad you find it funny," he smiled. Rik almost died from embarrassment.

"I, uh - I'm sorry -"

"What're you on about? What're you saying sorry for?"

"Well, I - you - you look so irritated. D-did I offend you?"

The wolf let loose a bold, barking laugh and his friends stopped for a moment to wonder why he was laughing then carried on chatting amongst themselves.

"Nah, mate, this is how I usually look. Pretty fucking sad sight, aren't I?"

"I wouldn't say that, you actually look quite handsome."

The wolf smiled again, a genuine, warm smile. It actually looked quite good on him, and Rik could feel the heat of his own blood coursing through his member once again. The wolf noticed this (God in heaven, Rik thought desperately) and chuckled.

"Name's Alpha, you?"

"R-Rik. No C."

"Jesus, mate, calm down! I'm not gonna eat you! Here, it's my phone number. Chat on a one-to-one, yeah?"

"Sure."

The scrap of paper was fairly crumpled and had some writing on the back (once the front) which was of no concern to the fox as he stowed it away in his trouser pocket - though it was difficult due to the building tension in his pants.

"Although I can see you want a bit more than a chat," Alpha said in a low, velvety, sexy voice, leaning closer, a suggestive look on his face. Rik could feel the minty heat of the wolf's breath on his cheeks and loved every second of it; he was close to his new crush, so close they were practically touching noses. It was so intimate, Rik barely had a word to describe it.

"How about we crash at my place? Nobody else, just you and me. Whatever happens happens."

"O-OK! That sounds like a plan."

Alpha nodded then turned back to his friends.

"Alright, bugger off, the lot of you. A man's gotta have his relaxation. You too, Dan."

Everyone, including Rik and Alpha, stood and left the building. Alpha put an arm around the fox's shoulders and lead him the opposite way to the chattering friends, taking him to his modest house in the suburbs of London.

The living room was cosy, with fluffy white carpet, invisibly white sofa with just the right amount of stuffing and a large, flatscreen TV hung up on the wall. A console lay on the floor underneath the television, wires dangling down and connecting with the back of the gaming machine.

"It's nothing much," Alpha stated humbly.

They sat down on the sofa and watched some television, the wolf's arm still around Rik. It was a police programme, and the police were chasing a known murderer down a dark, dingy street. What happened next happened all at once - the murderer drew a gun and pivoted on his heel to face the police force hot on his trail. He wasn't moving, he was standing his ground, his arms steady and unfaltering. Rik's heart started racing, adrenaline pumping through his body, and he found himself on the edge of the cushion.

"Makes you feel more alive, doesn't it?" Alpha laughed. When a police officer snuck up behind the murderer and tackled him to the ground, Rik slipped back into his seat and started breathing heavily.

"C'mere," Alpha chuckled, wrapping his arms around Rik and bringing him in, enveloping the fox in his muscular embrace. His chest was warm and Rik could see body hair peeking over his too-tight tank top and all the way down his arms and legs. Rik looked up to say something...

And their lips met.

That single moment was the best and most magical thing either of them had experienced before, the softness of each other's lips, the warm, moist mouths and tongues, the sharp teeth. Alpha raised his hand to brush Rik's cheek, and Rik wrapped his arms around the back of the brute's neck, closing his eyes, letting passion overcome him. His cock was pressing painfully on his pants and eventually he had to lower both them and his trousers to feel comfortable again. Alpha chuckled and let his hand drop down to it, feeling its meaty smoothness in his palm. Electric pulses of pleasure washed over Rik's body as Alpha began to stroke his canine member, his big, strong hand caressing it, sliding back and forth.

"Thank you," Rik breathed, "thank you so much."

Alpha smiled and kissed the fox's neck passionately, nibbling playfully on it occasionally. His free hand came up to massage Rik's pec, to stroke it, and Rik could feel his own heartrate falling steadily to a slow, rhythmic beat. He felt so comfortable, so warm, so... _protected_by this massive wolf, he felt as if... as if he really cared about him.

"I love you," the fox said softly. Alpha stopped kissing him long enough to say the deal-sealing words:

"I love you too."
