#3 of Flourishing Valley Puzzle

A written puzzle I submitted originally way back in 2013. There is a reward for solving it.
I walk, unseen and unheard, except by the old hunters and denizens.
For it is only they that can hear me.
And only they will readily listen.
The denizens stay still, the hunters be wary.
I smile and press on.
My pursuer is the ignorant tracker, unable to find his way alone.
There are forces unseen calling me north and southeast.
Denali Dawson sits on The Stone just outside the Port of Rocks.
He has come so far already, but now the old one he had been following confronted him and left.
Now he lies there, confused.
"If you keep following me, you will get lost."
A small peace is what I have obtained.
