This was the fan fiction that I wrote for the first Five Nights at Freddy's! Hope you enjoy!

"Hello? Hello hello? Hey, Angela, welcome to your first day. I'm calling you to show you the ropes at your new Summer job at the family restaurant Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. First off, there's an introductory greeting from the company that I'm suppose to read to you. It's just a legal thing, surely you understand. Uhh 'Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a magical place for kids and grownups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon discovering that damage or death occurred, a missing person report will be filed within 90 days or when damage is repaired' and what not. Look, that might sound bad, but I assure you, there really is nothing to worry about. Let me tell you what your job really is here. Your job is to watch the four animatronics: Bonnie the bunny, Chica the chicken, Foxy the pirate fox, and Freddy Fazbear-the trademark mascot-which sounds pretty easy. The animatronics, however, do tend to wander around the restaurant a bit, but that's really nothing to worry about. Just uh, don't let them get into the office. For some reason, they've become aggressive towards adults especially security guards, so it's best not to allow them to get near you at any time during your shift. Oh, and don't waste power, we got a low budget. Save as much energy as you can, and don't use the doors unless absolutely necessary. That's all for now Angie, my wife is nagging me to go eat dinner. Good luck on your first day."

The phone clicks, indicating the call has ended. " 'Nothing to worry about' my ass," I whisper. I had seen this job as a night guard a few weeks ago in a newspaper. Seeing the opening, I thought it would give me a nostalgic feeling if I had worked at a place I once enjoyed going to as a kid. Just knowing that I would get to see my old childhood companions excited me. But after hearing this phone call, I'm starting to wonder if this was a good choice.

I scan the office that I'll be working in; each side of this small room has one door, one button to open the door, and what looks like a light button underneath the door button. "Alright, how do I look at the cameras?" I ask myself as I pick up a flat screen from the office desk. This must be the monitor, I think to myself. It looks like a touch screen. I tap on the screen and it lights up with a camera view of the westside hallway. A corner is covered by a map-like icon. "Okay..." I say with a smile as I tap on a square on the map icon. The screen switches to the show-stage where the animatronics stand. "Ahh, okay." I tap another square and it switches to the camera in the dining hall, just in front of the show stage. I then start switching through cameras to get a look at my surroundings, naming off the rooms as I go. "Main hall, west hall, east hall, backstage, Jeez I wouldn't be surprised if there was a camera in the bathrooms too. There's even cameras next to my doors. It sucks how the doors aren't in view though. Okay, I think the last is this one." I press another square and it switches cameras to a purple curtain. The name on the camera screen is 'Pirate's Cove.' There's where Foxy is, I think to myself. I look at the show stage camera again to see Chica and Bonnie looking directly at it. I jump from my chair, startled as I gasp from the sight in my head. I take a few deep breaths and sit back down, picking up the screen.I shut my eyes. "Okay Angela, don't worry, they're just animatronics...for little kids....You can do this..." Looking at the camera screen, I notice something that scares me more: Bonnie is missing. Frantically, I switch to other cameras until I spot Bonnie backstage, staring at the camera. "There you are..." Still trying to calm down, I flip back to the stage to see Chica and Freddy, still standing in their spot.

I hear a laugh-it seems slowed down-and shiver. This is definitely not how I remember them, I say in my head. The phone suddenly rings, and I jump again. Realizing the sound, I pick it up. "Hello?" "Hey, it's me, I forgot to mention, there's blindspots in the cameras in the halls, and those blind spots happen to be right outside your door." No shit, I say as I flip through the cameras after noticing Bonnie's missing again. "So make sure you use those lights to see out the doors, or else...well, you know. Okay, goodnight Angela." "Wait!" The call ends as I yell at the phone. I sigh and, remembering what the guy on the phone said, press the button next to the door that turns the light on to see a filthy purple-blue colored Bonnie staring into the office. I reach for the door button as fast as I can, slamming my hand into it. The door clangs on the ground as it slides shut. I sit wide-eyed for a moment, breathing heavily as I try to recuperate from the sight. "Definitely not a good idea working here," I say to myself as I climb back into the chair and look at the cameras. Bonnie stares into the west hall corner. In this angle, it looks like he's smirking at me.

I shiver again and check on the stage. The chicken animatronic is missing. "Shit, where's Chica??" I flip through the cameras until I get to the kitchen camera. The only thing working on this camera is the audio. I hear pots and pans rustling about, as if someone's moving them. "Okay....She's just....just hungry, that's it...." I thought aloud, knowing that animatronics clearly don't eat food. I switch the camera screen to the dining hall and see two faint glowing orbs in the darkness. "What....is that...?" I wonder a moment, then switch to the camera on the show stage to see Freddy has gotten off the stage. "Oh no...Okay what time is it....?" I look at the analog clock hung by the east hall door. "Two o'clock...Four more hours...." I sit down in the computer chair and take a deep breath, then start switching between the cameras again.

"God, why does time move so slowly??" I shout as I slam my fist into the east door's button. I turn on the east light and look through the security window at the red-stained yellow Chica. I sigh and look at the clock. Three thirty....I press the light on the west door. Seeing the hall empty, I open the door. Gotta conserve energy....I think to myself. I check the east door. Chica's still there, staring at me with her mouth slightly open. "Ugh..." I murmur, disgusted at the sight. I shut off the light and slump back into the chair, on the verge of tears as I switch through the cameras. I see a hook peeking out of the curtains at Pirate's Cove. "Shit, really?" I say as I deeply exhale with a stressful stare.

I turn on the lights beyond the doors and sigh frustratedly. "This is suppose to be my first day!" I yell, hearing my words echo through the building. "Crap, how do I check how much power I have left?" I gasp as everything suddenly shuts off. I had wasted all of the power in the building. Faint thumps are heard in the halls. My breathing increases as I start sweating, my hands slipping off the old desk. I crash to the ground and crawl to the east corner. I sit up against the wall, my knees to my chin, my arms covering my face. It feels like the end when I hear Freddy's trademark lullaby. I can't help but weep as I listen to the tune. The tune cuts short, followed by more thumps against the office carpet. I stay in my upright fetal position while listening to the thumps. The sound stops short a few inches of the chair, from what I recall of the layout. Silence cloaks the room as I sit in the corner, shivering with the feeling of dread flowing through my body. I hear a mechanical motion towards me and I let out a dry whimper. Once I realize that I'm not dead, I look up from my arms. There in front of me is Chica. She has a glow to her eyes to illuminate the corner I'm in. My eyes drift lower, following her arm to her hand. Chica was holding a plated cupcake out towards me.
