To The Blue
What would an author be without a cheesy love poem? I want to explore more of the animal aspect the furry community brings, but it's hard to do in such a constricting environment as poetry. Still, I think this is a neat little piece I put together. The entire thing is in anapestic tetrameter. As always, critique is appreciated!
On a plane through the sky bringing far to the near
While my love , she a waits , at the end of the pier
In my head , remem ber all the ple dges I gave
I was lost , that you found , 'tis my soul that you save
Back at home , I was out of all hope and a lone
Kept a live by the songs of a pen and a drone
On the screen , glowing bright , I'm a live and a star
Living lies to my self'till the i deas scar
But you called me a bird and I called you a fox
Fell in love and I told you to meet at the docks
Now a plane through the sky brings the cold to the warm
Want to hold you so close , help you wea ther the storm
Though a fox you may be , more a shy than a sly
Hidden in side the dark , I want you to de fy
All the words of your peers matter not in my eyes
You're an an gel, the light and the sun and the skies
I'm the bird , you're the fox , and I'm com ing to you
Feather fly with the fur , to the sun , to the blue
