What assurance do I have that this location isn't some kind of death trap?" Admiral asked. Zero was quick to tell him to double check on his tablet if he didn't believe him. Doing exactly as my husband suggested and confirmed the coordinates he gave. "I'll concede that you were telling the truth but, the route could be rigged." He replied. Of course Zero stated that he never bothered when he hid it up there years ago.

The only problem he would face it that modern vehicles couldn't get there. That's when the human ordered him to escort him there or we'd be hunted down. My husband snarled menacingly but, we knew he would carry out his threat. "Once you get your damn toy back what's to stop you from killing us anyway?" I asked. Thinking of my children above my desire to rush over there and rip his throat out.

"Well that's totally up to your husband my dear." He said looking over at me. Unable to hold myself back any longer I went for him but, Zero cut me off. Looking over his shoulder at me then told me he's not worth it and made a deal. Zero would take him there if he allowed him to escort me and our children back home. Once more the Admiral wasn't stupid and told my husband to do something else.

Shifted myself to a feral stance then had Zero load the kids onto my back. From there I carried them back to the den while keeping my sense for any trouble. While my husband, the admiral and his snipers walked towards the northern mountains. The entire trip back home I prayed that my husband would come home safely. Once inside the den I placed our children in their beds before going after them.

Luckily the snipers decided to shadow the admiral and my husband instead. Figuring that he was the bigger danger to their commander than me and the kids. That would prove to be their undoing as I took another route into the mountains. Hopefully I can catch up and possibly get ahead them and help my husband. The route I'm presently on would certainly take me there without wasting anytime.

Meanwhile the Admiral and I had just reached the base of the mountains. Towards the very same armor I tested for him years ago upon my strange transformation. With the welfare of my entire family weighing heavily on my mind I behaved myself. Though even when he gets his toy back he won't be able to use it anyway. Seeing as I reprogrammed it ten years ago to only work for someone with my DNA.

I'm confident the admiral has yet to factor that in which gives me an edge. Once we arrive and he digs it up boy is he going to be in for one hell of a surprise. Let's see just how observant this human is when the odds are no longer in his favor. A quarter the way up a familiar scent entered my nose and I learned it was Luna. She knew better than to leave the kids alone but, they didn't know our den's location.

Hopefully these idiots don't discover that Luna's tracking from far away. It was a good idea to show her the armor's location in the event this ever happened. I even went so far as to show her a few other routes that'd take you right to it. Knowing Luna she's gonna take the fastest route there and wait patiently for us. Meanwhile our current route would kill time and allow me to think of an exit strategy.

"Excuse me for asking sir but, can we really trust this beast to take us there? Surely he's got a plan already underway to stop us from completing this operation." A soldier said. Naturally I had a response for his rather dumb yet, painfully obviously question handy. "Perhaps we should kill him and spare ourselves the aggravation of his presense." He added. The Admiral was quick to point out that killing me would be a waste of ammo.

Of course they were quick to ask their what he meant by that very comment. "What it means humans you're little guns are useless against the likes of me." I stated. The soldier was smart to threaten to slit my throat until I said even that wouldn't work. Admiral silenced his troops and told them to go hunt my family down instead. Before they could make a decision I slaughtered each one leaving us alone.

When their bodies hit the ground the admiral turned to see a severely pissed off wolf. Whose fangs and claws were covered in the blood of his now deceased soldiers. "No more games you've got nothing left and radio doesn't work at this altitude. So you're pretty much ****ed unless you can take me which is highly unlikely. There's precious little you can use against me or my wife for that matter, Admiral." I growled.

Naturally he was smart enough to ask me what I meant by that very statement. "Why don't you turn around Admiral Pearl and I'll be more than happy to show you." Luna said. Doing as told he turned around to face her and he knew that this battle was lost. The only chance he has of getting out of this mess alive was to negotiate with us. Though we already knew he wasn't going to regardless of the present situation.

Asking him point blank about negotiating as Luna and I stood up on two legs. I stand roughly seven feet tall upright and Luna is exactly six feet, six inches tall. In any case the five foot eleven inch tall human had to look up to make eye contact. Luna was quick to tell him not waste his breath calling for his hidden soldiers. Seeing as she had already killed them on route to this location surprising the human.

"Did I fail mention the trackers those darts implanted into your children? As we speak a squad of troops is on its way to your den to retrieve them." He replied. Extending my right hand out then four small objects clattered onto the ground. "The soldiers you referred will be joining us instead of going to our den." I stated. Even in the face of his own demise the old soldier managed to sport a content smile.

"For the first time in my entire career in the military I can finally admit defeat. As promised I'll leave you and your family alone you have my solemn word Zero." He replied. It wasn't that simple when I told that he still had a debt that needed to be paid. With that I left the human's fate in Luna's paws while I went to greet his troops. About halfway down the path two kilometers away his soldiers were coming closer.

When they caught sight of me minutes later and they went to raise their weapons. Before any of them could pull the trigger of their rifles every one of them collapsed. Looking around to see who or what was responsible I saw my children standing nearby. My heart swelled with pride upon seeing Rogue in command over taking them out. "Dad where's mom surely she followed you after bringing us back home?" She asked.

"She's currently typing up a loose end and should be joining all of us shortly." I replied. Upon saying that we heard footsteps approaching from behind and turned to look. It was Luna, she was holding something and her muzzle was covered in blood. "You should've seen the look on the Admiral's face as I tore his head off with my fangs." She smiled. When she held up his severed head and partial neck for everybody to see.

"Alright, everyone let's go home we've had plenty of excitement to last awhile." I said. "Umm, Father don't you think we should remove all traces of these soldiers?" Lucas asked. Seeing the logic in my son's words we split up and gathered up all their dead bodies. He suggested that we dispose of them in the mountains where nobody would look. Three hours later we finished disposing of each one then we headed back home.

To be continued.
