"Do you want me to define that question with an answer child of mine?" I countered. When I looked over my shoulder at her she didn't bother to give me a response. As we continued moving north towards the preserves boundaries to find breakfast. Taking a moment to scent the air to see what prey was in the surrounding area. Naturally when I checked on her again she wasn't paying the least bit of attention.

<This is going to stop one way or she'll learn the hard way if necessary. Granted I'm not going to hate myself for this and Luna will probably kill me. Rogue needs to learn quickly that we're not gonna be holding her paws forever.> I thought. Granted what I'm about to do here hasn't failed me and should straighten her out.

"Rogue, here's what going to happen since you don't take your training seriously. Perhaps a true to life test of survival will help you understand what we're teaching." I said. "Dad, not to burst your bubble we live in a forest everyday is a test for survival." She replied. "Naturally but, only to a certain degree what you need to do so without assistance. For the next twenty four hours you'll be out here alone, good luck." I added.

Before she could reply my elbow swung out and knocked her out cold. Next I scooped her up into my arms and moved her somewhere she'd be safe. Once I knew for certain that nobody would happen upon her I walked back home. Roughly two hours later I entered the den and told everyone what was happening. That's where I went wrong as Luna's hand shot out and grabbed my chest fur.

"Zero you had best go back and bring her home or you'll deal with me." She growled. "Easy Luna the only reason why I did it was because she never pays any attention. Besides you of all people knew that either of us would've done this at some point. I was planning on going back after telling you and keep a watchful eye on her." I informed. Glaring intently at me then with a sour snort and finally agreed Rogue needed this.

"You're right dear she needs to know her lack of effort is hurting the family." She said. Both Gale and Lucas started argued with each other until Felix settled the dispute. They continued exchanging words for a few minutes then agreed it was for the best. Once the boys were in agreement I waited until nightfall to return where she slept.

(Four hours later.)

"Ow! What the hell hit me, it felt like a giant metal rock dropped on my skull." I groaned. While shaking the cobwebs out I made sense of what's going on around me. I noticed real quick that I was alone, wisely I searched for my father's scent trail. When that failed I started my way back to the den and avoided wide open areas. Until my still empty stomach reminded me that it was in need of something to eat.

It was a good idea to deal with this then resume my journey back to the den. I made my way to the nearest hunting area to find something to fill my stomach. While on route I kept my senses sharp for any signs of small game to catch. Luckily I found a bush to hide out in and wait patiently for something to come along. As I'm lying there waiting the feeling of shame twisted it's way into my mind.

"I should've paid attention to my parents instead of being so self absorbed. When I get home the first thing I'm gonna do is apologized to mom and dad." I mumbled. I no sooner said that when a hare hops out into the open a few yards from me. This must be some kind of sign and would allow me to prove myself to them. Let's hope what I did pay attention to will help me be a stronger part of our family.

As the hare moved closer I could tell he didn't notice that I was nearby. Seeing as I was down wind I waited for the right moment to make my move. Once that moment presented itself I launched from the bushes and chase after it. I was confident that I had him until an oak tree appeared out of the blue and he escaped. Feeling really stupid now I decided to go in search for some berries to tide me over.

While I enjoyed some blueberries this strange scent drifted into my nose. From what I could tell from strange scent that what ever it was I made myself scarce. The next thing I did was silently track down the scent's source a stupid mistake. Upon arriving at the source I all could see from my hiding spot were guns and humans. It didn't take me long to figure out that they had come here in search of something.

Before they caught wind of someone watching I got the hell out of dodge. As I put more distance between them and myself this familiar howl split the air. Sure enough it was my father calling for help but, I wouldn't be of much assistance. The only thing I could do was get a lot further away first then I'll call mom for help. Once I felt they couldn't hear me I unleashed a loud howl hoping they'd hear me.

My mother is probably the only person that would be able to rescue him. Ten minutes after sending out my S.O.S mom and my three brothers showed up. "Alright, Rogue we're here now what's got you so freaked out, where your father?" Luna asked. Instead of telling them I had them follow me so they could see for themselves. When we arrived she poked her head out from the bushes and saw him captured.

The humans were interrogation him and all he did was snap at anyone close by. All of sudden someone approached my dad then mom growled at who she saw. "Well, after twenty five long years of searching I've finally found you Project Zero. I must admit you haven't changed at all since you decided to escape from custody." A human said. It was Admiral Pearl of all people after all this time he's come back for my father.

Before we could ask mother about the human she mentioned we had to leave. She told me and my brothers to get back to the den while she helped out dad. When we refused she jumped down our throats so fast it made our heads spin. Telling us not worry she and dad would be just fine so we did we were instructed. It was at this time one of the soldiers heard us running away and went to investigate.

"Admiral, I believe we're being watched it might be hiding somewhere nearby." A soldier stated. He looked at the soldier then back at my husband and gave him a curious smile. "Hmm, it would appear that you've got some reinforcements hiding in the brush. If you want to keep them from harm than you'll tell me what I want to know." The Admiral said. Being of such a high rank he's not the type of person that surprises easily.

When he saw me come walking out of the bushes on two legs he jumped. "Hello, again Admiral you perfectly rotten piece of living flesh and blood." I growled. Sadly the old human was quick to regain his composure before giving me a reply. "Color me impressed apparently the report of your death was falsified as well." He replied. It wasn't hard for him to figure out that Zero was responsible for releasing me.

Seeing as his attention was focused on me Zero decided to test his bonds. "Why don't you cut the shit and tell me just what the hell you're doing here Admiral?" I asked. "Hmm, aren't we the brave one but, I'm afraid that this matter isn't your problem. So stay quiet while I finish my business with him but, don't go anywhere, thirteen." He said. When he turned back around to face my husband I got ready to make my move.

It was at this moment he shattered his restraints as I went to attack he reacted. Moving like as this large white blur all the admiral troops hit the ground dead. In all the years we've been together I have never seen Zero move that fast. "Admiral you've got three seconds to cut your losses or join your soldiers in death." Zero snarled. This was a side of my husband he's never shown and wouldn't want to see again.

"I'll leave once you tell me where you've hidden my armor and not before." Admiral replied. Zero was quick to tell the human that the armor he spoke had been destroyed. Though I had to give the human credit for coming prepared for this fight. "Explain something to me if that's true, why is the backup GPS tracker still online." He stated. The confidence in his voice told us that Zero's bluff had been a waste of time.

"If you want your toy back so badly than search the mountains to the north." Zero replied. What we didn't know at the time was that he had more troops hiding close by. "Excuse me sir we've captured four more they're tranquilized but, unharmed." A soldier informed. Our reaction was predictable at this point as we turned around and saw our children. "Damn you Admiral capturing innocent pups don't you have any honor?" We barked.

"Tonight's just full of surprises but, I'm not all that surprised." Admiral smirked. Blinded by rage and before his troops could even react I killed them on the spot. Next I ripped the cage they were in apart then made sure that they were alright. Zero asked the human the same question again wondering if he'll get a different answer. It wasn't like the admiral to have a few cards hidden up either of his shirt sleeves.

"Far from it actually and I'm sure you two have sensed the snipers nearby." He replied. My husband was quick to remind him of our unique skeletons should they try. "That's true but, I highly doubt your four children will have the same kind of luck." He remarked. When they were little Zero tested them to see if they had inherited all our gifts. The only two things they didn't was Undanium bones and the ability to regenerate.

"*sighs.* Very well you'll find the armor along the fourth mountain range. Six thousand feet up and forty seven miles north east from this exact location. You'll have to dig for about a ten meters into the mountain side to retrieve the armor." Zero pointed out. He said no unless Zero went with him then I could take our children to safety. "You have exact coordinates what more could you possibly want from me?" Zero asked.

To be continued.
