A little girl finds that a school trip to the state fair has more for her in store than just ordinary candy. Hopped up on a rush of sugar and power she decides to have fun with the state fair her own way.

This one took me quite a while, not because it was very hard to write or because it was my longest work yet, but because life was quite demanding in the meantime. Finally arrived at our new home with my fiancée and our new four-legged family member, I decided it was time to finish and upload this for you all.

This work was a commission for Meister_Li . Thanks for the fun idea! If you're interested in getting your own story from me, you can find more information in my journal: https://www.sofurry.com/view/859118

"Come kids, stay together! Don't get lost!"

The voice of their teacher had trouble to make itself heard over the chiming music and merry laughter of the state fair. The scent of deep-fried treats and sugar-coated candy wafted through the air, making the whole class of children giddy, colorful banners and blinking signs reflecting in their shiny eyes. The young doe and her dalmatian companion who were leading this excursion had their hands plenty full trying to control a group of elementary school students surrounded by a whole little world built for fun and excitement.

"Everyone take each other's hand! Move along ... no shoving!"

"Come on, Tiff!"

A little cat girl was grabbed by her hand, pulled along by her bunny friend. Her tail was swishing excitedly, tipped with an auburn tuft against her tan fur, and her fuzzy ears perked up. She tried to hang back, though, walking on tiptoes and craning her neck, even jumping up and down to get a look above the crowd, but it wasn't even enough to surpass her classmates.

"Whatcha doing? We don' wanna be late!"

"I wish I was taller!" the little cat mewled. "Can you see the candy booth?" She brushed her untidy hair back with one hand to reveal the frown on her brow.

Her hazel furred friend shook her head, but she promised: "We'll get there soon for sure!" She pulled on her hand again demandingly and with a giddy spring in their step the two girls tagged along, not to be left behind by their group as they plowed their way through the crowd.

"I wish I could have all the candy!" the cat girl grinned excitedly.

"You always wish for everything!" her friend exclaimed.

The feline wrinkled her nose. "What's wrong with that? Kathy said my wishes would come true today!"

"Kathy's weird ..."

"You just don't like her 'cause she's a cat and you're a bunny!"

"You're a cat too, an' I like you!" her friend argued. "Kathy's just ... weird."

Their squabble was interrupted when they suddenly bumped into the back of the group. Their teacher had stopped to discuss where to go first, since they couldn't just split up and leave everyone unsupervised.

"COTTON CANDY!" the girl screamed immediately, grinning broadly. Some kids wanted to go elsewhere, but when she repeated her shout, more and more of her classmates joined her, drowning out the few other voices. It didn't take long for their teacher to give in to their demands.

"Fine, fine!" the doe laughed it off. "Alright, calm down. We'll get one for everyone!"

"See? It's already working!" the little cat whispered to her friend.

They made their way past balloons and plushy toys to the booth that was handing out those deliciously sweet pieces of heaven on a stick. Although there was quite a crowd, their teacher managed to get to the front of the line quickly, paying with the money they had collected from their parents and handing out the fluffy candy to her eagerly waiting students.

"Look, Alice!" one of the boys in the class teased the bunny girl. "Looks just like your tail!"

"Looks just like your brain, too!" she had back at him and stuck her tongue out.

"Alice, Tiffany, here you go!" their teacher's companion helped handing out the treats. The cat girl was more than eager to grab hers and bury her muzzle deep in the fluffy sweetness, ripping it to little shreds and licking up everything that stuck to her fur. She loved candy in all shapes and sizes, but cotton candy was something you could have only once or twice a year, so it was always special. The scent alone had her shiver in excitement, but finally tasting it sent a tingly heat all over her body. It seemed to only get better each time!

"Boys are stupid", her friend remarked, ogling said boys when they turned their attention elsewhere. But when she turned around to face her cat friend, her eyes grew wide in disbelief. "How are you already finished! I didn't even start yet!"

The cat looked up innocently from her ravaged candy stick, her tongue darting out to catch the little sugary puffs that still stuck to her muzzle and cheeks. "Mhr?"

The bunny couldn't help but stare and blink. "And you're bigger, too! How are you bigger than me!"

"What? I'm not bigger ...!" the girl started to deny, but then she noticed what her friend had meant. She usually was one of the smallest kids in class, even a tad shorter than her lapine friend, even without counting the ears. But now she was more than eye level with her, even looking down a bit on her when she straightened herself. A quick glance down confirmed they were still standing on equal ground. She had definitely gained a few inches.

"How did you do that!" the bunny inquired, her ears standing tall to attention.

"I don't know!" she replied, equally dumbfounded. "I just ate my candy and ..." She trailed off when she looked around and searched for an explanation.

Her friend eyed her own candy stick and sniffed curiously. "Maybe this candy can make you grow?" she suggested, nibbling on the sweet cotton with her brows furrowed contemplatively. "I don' feel anything yet. Do I look bigger?"

The cat girl shook her head. But an idea crossed her mind.

"Can I have yours, too? I wanna see if it works!"

"My candy?" the bunny hesitated. "Uhm, okay ..."

The little cat's eyes lit up when her friend passed her the nearly untouched cotton candy. She couldn't help but lick her lips before she went down on it, ripping fluffy shreds out of it one at a time, savoring the sweet taste. This time she watched her body closely, though, feeling the heat and the pleasant tingling return. But they were more than just that. She noticed her heart pumping faster, her eyes widen and her clothes shifting a little against her fur, when she stretched a few more inches. Her tail lashed out excitedly when she grinned at her bewildered friend.

"You're really growing!" the bunny exclaimed, a shocked expression on her face. She turned around to the other kids and shouted: "Look, everyone! Tiff is growing!"

The cat girl tried to hide her embarrassment when she suddenly became the center of attention of the whole class. She still wasn't the tallest one by far, there were horse boys who could spit on her head, but as soon as the other kids noticed her growth, they couldn't keep their eyes from her. They stared at her and marveled, shouting confused questions. She curled her tail and kneaded it nervously in both hands, backing off slowly.

"Don't stare at me!" she shouted, but her voice was drowned out by the excited crowd.

"Whoa, she's really bigger!"

"That's just a trick!"

"How did she do that?"

"She grows from the cotton candy!" her bunny friend tried to explain.

"Really?"

"You're making that up!"

"How big can you get?"

"I-I don't know!" the cat stammered. "I ..."

"You want my cotton candy, too?" a dog boy stepped forward and presented his half eaten candy stick to her.

"Let's see how big she can grow!" another one chimed in. "Let's give Tiff our candy, everyone!"

She was surprised to see almost the whole class join in. Some didn't want to give away their sweets, but most of them were more than eager to experiment and followed their classmate's lead. Her eyes brightened when one after another they collected their candy and passed it to her. She hesitated only for a moment before she cast all embarrassment to the wind and indulged herself in the sugary treats with a happy squeal.

"Miss Fawn! Miss Fawn!" a sheep girl cried out for their teacher.

"What's going on here?" the young woman tried to push her way through the crowd to investigate. "What are you ... Tiffany!"

The cat girl blinked when she suddenly found herself eye to eye with her teacher. The expression on the doe's face was one of confusion at first, followed by anger at her apparently stealing candy from all the other kids. Only when she realized what was happening to the girl's body her eyes grew wide in fear. "My god, Tiffany ... what's ...!"

The cat wanted to explain herself, but she was interrupted when she felt her own clothes tighten against her chest and waist. Her body began to swell rapidly, stretching in all directions, straining the fabric until the seams began to burst. She fell forward from the sudden shift in size and had to steady herself on hands and knees, dizzy from the rush of sugar coursing through her veins. Her body heated up again, the pleasant tingling becoming an overwhelming feeling, only antagonized by the increasing pain of her school uniform cutting into her skin. She squeezed her eyes shut and clenched her teeth for a moment, before the fabric couldn't take the very next growth spurt and was shred to pieces, the girl bursting free with a relieved moan.

All the kids pulled back from her growing form, making room for her expansion. They watched her in awe, some amazed, some frightened, but all wondering how far it would go. She began to tower over them, even an all fours, easily surpassing even the adults that flocked around her curiously to see what was causing the commotion. When she finally stopped growing, she was panting heavily, opening her eyes and slowly rising to her feet to take a look at the gathered crowd. They were as much in wonder about her sudden change as she herself was, gaping at her from waist height and below. She must be well above ten feet and more, she realized!

Slowly a clapping sound could be heard from the spectators, quickly multiplying, turning into a full blown round of applause for the cat girl. They must be mistaking her for some kind of show or trick, a part of the fair for their enjoyment. She was noticeably sticking out from the crowd, even reaching higher than most of the booths with their colorful signs and decorations. Her tall form was eliciting gasps and screams of surprise from far down the street, drawing ever more attention with each passing second.

That was when she looked down on herself, seeing her torn up clothes scattered around her feet, and realized she was standing naked not only in front of her friends and classmates, but the whole fair. With an embarrassed squeal she tried to cover herself, ducking behind the candy booth, nearly causing the construction to topple over from the sudden strain she put on it.

"Quit staring at me!" she yelled at the crowd angrily.

"I-It's alright, Tiffany! Please calm down!" her teacher tried to appease her with an unsteady voice. The young doe brushed her hair back nervously when she tried to stand on firm hooves again, looking around and muttering: "What the ... what happened?"

"She ate all the candy and grew big!" the sheep girl tattled, trying to look important. "I told her she shouldn't, but she didn't care!"

"You did not!" the cat shot back, her claws digging into the walls of the booth with an angry crunch. It was enough to startle her class and teacher, eliciting shocked gasps from the crowd.

"Mary, Tiffany, it's alright!" the teacher raised her voice, suppressing a fit of panic. "Please keep calm and ..."

She was cut short by a sudden flash of light that made the cat girl wince and lash her tail out violently, tearing the decoration from the neighboring booth in a shower of sparks. The crowd drew back, but other flashes followed nonetheless when more and more people began to take pictures.

"Stop it!" the teacher screamed and tried to drive the spectators back, waving her arms at them. "Don't startle her! This is not a show, this is an emergency!"

With a menacing growl the crouched cat kept the crowd at a distance. When she saw her teacher defending her she began to relax a little, easing down her standing fur. Her gaze wandered over all the people staring at her, over her classmates who were both frightened and amazed, over the sheep girl glaring at her defiantly, and to her bunny friend who flashed her an uneasy smile. She returned the smile reassuringly, it wasn't so bad! When her eyes roamed further, however, they found something to keep her attention.

The owner of the candy booth had long fled his position to evade the growing girl, but he had left the cotton candy machine still running. With a quick glance around a mischievous smile snuck to her face and she slowly reached into the booth and dipped her finger into the machine. The whirling strings of sugar caught hold and quickly began to wrap her digit in a sticky coat.

"She's doing it again!" the sheep girl cried out and pointed a finger at her accusingly. "She's stealing the candy!"

"What?" the teacher whirled around. "Mary, I told you, I ... Tiffany!"

The young woman was hopelessly overchallenged with fighting on several fronts at once. Before anyone could stop her, the cat girl swiftly stuck her finger into her muzzle and licked it clean, swallowing the load of sugar. The innocent look on her face couldn't hold for long as it was quickly replaced by an excited grin when she felt her body react. Her fur was tingling, her heart fluttering, and her growth began to push the candy booth across the ground with a loud scraping sound. All eyes were on her again, drawing back with shocked gasps and surprised cries.

"She can grow even bigger!" her classmates called out. "She's still growing!"

Slowly she rose to her feet, towering at her full size above the crowd, leaving the booth behind at only waist height. Her cheeks were glowing red from the embarrassment to show herself to public in this way, but even more so from the sudden rush of possibilities that came to her head. She wasn't only the tallest kid in class, she was bigger than anyone on the fair, probably bigger than anyone in the city and in the whole world. And she could grow even more! All she needed was a bit more candy ... and that was hardly a problem in the middle of the state fair.

She took a step forward, hesitatingly at first, the crowd parting before her feet. She felt like she was surrounded by a large group of small children, staring up at her like she was the most amazing thing they ever saw. Not even that, they were more like animals, she chuckled, little frightened animals flocking around her who were too scared to let themselves be touched.

"Tiffany, wait!" her teacher stepped into her way and waved at her to get her attention. "Where are you going!"

The girl grinned down on her. "I won't hurt anyone!" she promised but didn't stop. A big step carried her right over her teacher's head, the doe ducking frightfully beneath the looming form. Another step and she had crossed the street, people fleeing hastily to make way for her. There were several booths all across the fair that had candy on display, so she decided to visit all of them. Beginning right here.

She crouched in front of the next open display and licked her lips in anticipation. The booth's seller gave off a frightened shriek when the giant girl suddenly appeared before him, and when she reached her hand inside the booth he dropped to the ground, covering is head. She was surprised at first to see his reaction, but then she chuckled and patted his back lightly.

"Don't worry, Mr. Candy Man!" she reassured him. "I just like your candy!"

The chubby rodent drew back from her fingers, but there wasn't much space inside the booth to evade her. "Y-you want the candy?!" he stared at her wide-eyed, his gaze fixated on her sharp feline teeth and her licking tongue. She nodded eagerly in response.

"Then take it!" he told her hastily. "You can have it all! I-It's all yours!"

"Really?!" she squealed with excitement. Her flashing grin only made the man nod faster. "Thank you!"

With childish glee she began to pick her favorites from the display, licking up bonbons and lollipops with a single stroke of her tongue, crushing and crunching candied fruit between her teeth, munching on the deep fried and sugar coated pastries with delight. There was no holding back when she attacked the whole display at once, gathering the sweets up with wide sweeps of her hands, stuffing it all into her mouth till her muzzle was filled with nothing but sugar and swallowing them whole without even chewing.

"Don't!" her teacher shouted at her in panic. "Stop it, Tiffany! You don't know what you're doing!"

But she didn't care for the screams behind her anymore. Whoever dared to intervene was held back by her lashing tail, even more so when the appendage suddenly stretched, growing several feet within mere seconds, driving the crowd back even further. The asphalt beneath her feet began to crack under her growing weight, her claws only added by digging deeper into the ground for purchase. The more she grew the more she leaned forward, greedily reaching into the booth for every last piece of candy she could get her fingers on.

Suddenly, the shift in size and mass tipped her over. With a squeal of surprise she tumbled forward, pushing the whole booth over when she grabbed it to try and catch her balance. The wooden bars bent and burst under the sudden pressure, the thin metal plates crumpled like paper beneath her palms, until she knelt on all fours over the destroyed display.

"Oops!" she flashed an apologetic grin to the seller that lay frozen in shock right under her chest. "Sorry!"

His eyes grew even wider when the giant girl lowered her head down on him, hesitating for just a moment before she licked up the spilled candy with a single stroke of her tongue right across his body. He could feel the heat of the rough, broad muscle, smell the sweetness of her breath and look her right in the dish-sized eyes when her muzzle passed over him. He was sure to meet his demise, that she would sink her sharp, dagger-like teeth into his body, and tear him to pieces. But all she did was pull back, with a soft giggle and a blush beneath her fur.

"Sorry, Mister", she repeated, but he had already fainted, his eyes rolled back in their sockets. She frowned at his unconscious form, but then she added with a chuckle: "You really don't like to play, do ya?"

Shedding the broken pieces of the booth she climbed to her feet, rising above the rest of the fair. There were some constructions still reaching over her head, like the Ferris wheel or the thrill rides, but she could easily top anything else on the fairground, getting a good view of the whole area. She hadn't been noticed yet in quite a few places, but to those in her immediate surrounding she was impossible to miss. None of the bystanders could reach past her knees - not that anyone bothered to try anyway, as they were busy keeping their distance from her sweeping tail, scattering dirt and debris left and right.

"Tiffany!" she heard her teacher cry out and turned her head towards the woman. She was holding her hands to her muzzle and shouting at the top of her lungs to make herself heard over the screams of the crowd. "Tiffany, please stop! You don't know what you're doing!"

"I do!" the giant girl disagreed with a hearty grin. "I'm growing! And I'm having fun!" Defiantly she crossed her arms to defend her point.

"She's like a real giant!" her classmates shouted. "How big is she?" "She must be twenty feet tall!" "No, that's thirty feet for sure!" "I've never seen such a big girl thingy!"

"HEY!" she blushed and turned sideways instantly, pressing her legs together and covering her crotch with her hands. Her tufted tail curled around her ankles. "Quit staring at me like that!"

She shot the boys that were ogling her a fiery glance, before she stepped forward angrily. Her paw hit the ground with a thunderous smash, little cracks spreading outwards from the impact like lightning. They boys and the other kids stumbled back with a surprised scream, falling over each other as they tried to crawl away from her paw.

She had to chuckle as she watched the fearful little forms of her classmates wiggling on the ground. They could mock her and tease her and laugh and stare at her all they wanted, but now she was in control. She didn't have to take it! She held her breath as she lifted her foot another time, letting it loom above the boys' heads for a moment.

"Tiffany! Don't do ..." "Aaaaaaah!"

When her paw came down, the boys barely jumped out of her way. Their eyes were wide in panic and they were screaming at the top of their lungs. She only laughed at them. To her, it sounded like the screams of a little girl. And those were the big boys that had played so tough! It was hilarious!

"You won't get away that easily!" she grinned and bent down into a predatory crouch, baring her claws and flashing a toothy grin. If there still had been someone who wasn't running from her, now was the time the whole crowd tried to flee. People were pushing and shoving to get away from the fair, pressing into the exits, getting in each other's way. The masses scattered away wherever she set her foot, parting before her like a swarm of little animals, lead only by their survival instincts.

"She's gonna kill us!" she heard their screams. "She's trying to crush us!" "She wants to eat me!"

"RAWR!" she growled playfully, but the sound echoed menacingly over the whole crowd. She didn't try to crush anyone underfoot, she always missed by a hairsbreadth. But she loved how they thought she could, and the thought alone made her head swirl with the rush of power. She was like a dinosaur, a primeval monster stomping through a herd of prey.

"I'm a kittysaur!" she growled at them, though they didn't find it quite as funny as she did. "Beware of the kittysaur!"

Her teacher had long since given up on trying to convince her to stop and instead settled on trying to get the other children as far away from her as possible. That proved to be no easier task, though, when the girl spotted one of they boys that had laughed and stared at her. He was one of the biggest in class, a horse with dark brown fur and black hair. But even the natural advantage of his species didn't help him, as he was merely as long as her forearm, quite the right size for a doll.

She drove him in front of her for a few steps, before she finally caught up and pinned him under her paw. He was screaming and writhing, pleading and crying, but she let him struggle for a moment. The she just scooped him up with both hands and held him high in front of her.

"You made fun of me! Didn't you?" she narrowed her eyes accusingly.

"No!" he screamed, eyes wide in panic and bleary from tears. "I didn't! I didn't mean to! Please! Please let me go!"

"M-mh!" she shook her head slowly and licked her lips.

"Please don't eat me!" he screamed in an even higher pitch. "I'll do everything you want, I'll ... AAAAH!" His scream was cut of when she pulled him closer and sank her teeth into him.

"Iff ah don' ge' any clowth", she mumbled with him caught in her jaws, "you don' ge' any eiwFA: "

And with a sudden jerk, she ripped his school clothes right from his fur, tearing them to pieces and spitting them to the ground. She grinned smugly when she set him down again, unharmed, but stark naked and shivering all over. He looked as if he had just died, as if he couldn't believe he was not a ghost.

"Tiffy!"

"Mhr?"

She felt a tugging at her ankle and the little voice of her bunny friend calling out to her. She turned to see her friend standing behind her, looking up with a pleading expression. She was the only one that had dared to approach her instead of running away.

"You don' have to be so mean!" the little bunny cried.

"But it's fun!" the cat grinned down on her. "Look what I can do!" She turned around sharply and crouched down like a predator preparing to pounce, and let out a powerful growl that made the whole crowd in front of her stumble head over heels. Her tail swished behind her, knocking another booth over whose seller luckily had already fled. "Oops! That's not what I meant!"

When she turned around, she noticed that her friend had ducked fearfully and covered her ears. The cat looked at her conscience-stricken and quickly added: "But he deserved it! He laughed at me because I had no clothes!" She pointed at the horse boy who frantically crawled away from her when he noticed her attention had returned to him.

The bunny didn't try to argue with her, but instead suggested: "You could always make new clothes!"

She frowned a little, thinking. "But how? I'm too big ..."

"There's a tent over there", her friend pointed her towards the center of the fair. "You could make a dress outa that!"

The cat girl considered for a moment, mustering the tent she could see over the other booths around her. It was large and rather flat, of a more rectangular shape than an ordinary circus tent. It certainly looked big enough to cover her.

"You could use it and - EEP!"

The little bunny couldn't finish her sentence when her cat friend suddenly yanked her into the air and pressed her against her chest like a plushy toy. She held tightly onto the fingers gripping her like the safety bar of a lift, staring down at the ground more than ten feet below her dangling feet. Quickly she lifted her head to look at her giant friend instead.

"What are you doin'!"

"You're coming with me", the cat girl told her with a wide smile. "When I make a dress, you have to tell me if it looks good!"

It only took her a few steps and a little booth-pushing to get to the central tent. Setting her friend down on the next best rooftop of a fun house to watch her, she unsheathed a claw and quickly snapped the tent's anchoring. A giddy smile on her muzzle, she gripped the colorful sheet with both hands and ripped it clean of it's poles in a swift motion, as if she was clearing a table.

Surprised faces looked up at her in awe. It took the visitors of the booths and shows inside the tent a moment to connect the thundering sounds from what had seemed to be a small earthquake with what had happened right now. But as soon as they saw the giant cat girl looming over the edge of the former tent and waving at them, the sales and thrills of the fair instantly lost their appeal in favor of a quick, screaming exit.

The only thing the girl cared about, though, was swinging the cloth around her and wrapping it around her shoulders like a cloak. The gust of air alone that it created was powerful enough to blow several people from their unsteady feet, while the cloth itself took it's toll on the surrounding constructions, ripping frames and wires apart. The destruction was neatly hidden away when it came to rest on the ground, dragging behind the girl.

"It's ... too big", the cat girl blinked, a little bit disappointed by the realization that she, in fact, was still to small for something she wanted, even after she outgrew anyone on the fair by far. "It looks like a tablecloth on me!"

"You can always wrap it aroun'!" her bunny friend shouted a suggestion.

"Or", the girl mused and let the thought roll around in her head for a moment. Yeah, why not? "I can always get even bigger!"

"What?" her friend stared at her wide-eyed. "Even bigger?!"

The cat nodded excitedly. Her tail lashed out behind her and made her cloak bulge out in waves.

"I just need more candy! Come on!"

Without even waiting for a response she grabbed her friend with one hand, pulled the sheet behind her in the other, and pushed her way through the fun house and the remains of the tent's frame. Wooden bars and metal poles bent and cracked under her bouncy steps, each impact of her feet straining the asphalt and leaving paw prints in the packed earth beneath her.

Her head spun from left to right and back, searching. She had a good view over the whole fair, but her vantage point didn't allow her to see the displays all that well. Those pesky roofs were always in the way! She didn't want to crouch down and crawl, since she was still carrying the tent and her friend, so she took both in one arm and used her freed up hand to lift the roofs of any booth she came across and take a peek. She had to rip them off with a little force, but she always put them back down. She didn't want to leave them all messed up! Her stroll lead her to the areas that were still more crowded, there had to be a candy booth she hadn't raided yet.

"There's one!" her friend shouted and pointed her in the direction of a chocolate colored sign. She quickened her steps and licked her lips in anticipation when she followed and saw the display of a variety of pralinés and chocolate bars. "Oooh! Thanks, Ally!"

When she ripped the roof clean off and cast it aside, the booth looked more like a large box of chocolates to her than anything else. A seller was nowhere to be seen, so she indulged herself and took as much of the candy as she could fit in one hand.

"You want some, too?" she offered the bunny with a friendly smile.

The little girl was anxious at first, but then she leaned forward from the arm that was holding her, to pick one of the chocolate treats from the buffet plate sized palm. Her hesitant smile grew when she leaned back in her friend's embrace and tasted the candy. "Thanks!"

"You're welcome", the cat grinned and let the rest vanish into her muzzle almost instantly, licking chocolate stains from her fingers to grab the next load out of the booth right away.

"You're so greedy!" the bunny frowned, but had to giggle to see her friend like that. "Don' eat all at once!"

"Ba' shere'sh moar!" the cat munched on her mouthful of chocolate, already picking stray treats from the remains of the booth to not let anything go to waste. She dropped a few of them, though, when her body suddenly began to shudder and to heat up again. The pleasant tingling had become a strong, intoxicating rush of delight and of power.

She felt her friend cling to her arm as ripples went through her and made her shiver, before her body grew once again, stretching towards the sky and outwards in all directions. The little bunny shifted against her fur and gave off a sudden shriek as the cat had to stumble a step backwards to keep her balance. Luckily for everyone, there was nobody else even near her, so the only thing that suffered from her growth spurt was the roof of the chocolate booth, crunching under her heel like a fallen leaf.

When she regained her balance and shook her head to look around, she had left most of the booths at knee height, easily forty feet tall. She braced her bunny friend with one hand, holding her against her belly, as the little girl could neatly fit into her outstretched hand. She looked up at her from below, awestruck.

"Are you big enough now?" the bunny had to raise her voice for her friend to understand her.

The cat pondered for a moment, licking the last traces of chocolate from her fingertips while she examined the tent sheet she had dropped behind her. Setting her friend aside on an undamaged rooftop she gathered up the cloth and wrapped it around her shoulders and her waist like a toga, grabbing a festival banner to use as a sash and tie it all together. Striking a pose she smiled at her friend.

"How do I look?"

The bunny couldn't help but snicker at the display. "You look like a gian' clown!"

"Hey!" The cat frowned at her shout and stomped on the ground, making the surrounding constructions rattle and shiver dangerously. Her friend dropped to all fours, startled, quickly adding: "You need jewelry! Then you look better!"

"Jewelry? But where do I get jewelry this big?"

"What about those?" the bunny pointed to a string of colorful lights adorning the fences around the fairground. Her giant friend considered for a moment, then she simply ripped a large part of the wire apart and tied it around her neck like a necklace.

"Better?" she smiled down at her friend, who nodded hastily.

"Now you mustn't grow anymore", the bunny demanded. "Or you break your clothes all over again!"

"Don't grow anymore?" the cat looked down, disappointment in her voice. "But that means ... no more candy!"

Her friend nodded slowly. The cat girl pouted and crouched down, looking her friend right in the eye. "But if I don't grow anymore, how can I do this?"

She leaned over to a deserted high striker game and tapped the bottom with a fingertip, sending the puck flying and ripping the bell right off the top. She grinned back at her friend.

"Or this?"

She bent down to all fours in front of a neighboring can knockdown booth and, after taking aim, flipped the ball off with a fingertip. It took down half of the cans in one go, ricocheting around. A quick punch on the ground shook the whole booth and made the rest of the cans topple over, leaving the cat girl with a satisfied grin as she returned to her friend.

"See? It's fun being big! And just think of how much more fun it would be to be even bigger!"

"But ..." the little bunny tried to reason. "What if you hurt someone? What if you stepped on someone?"

"I'll be careful", the giant girl promised. When her friend still hesitated, she added: "Come on! I wanna see how big I can get!"

She tried to look innocent, but she just couldn't hide the mischievous grin on her face. Her friend turned left and right, darting a glance over the rest of the fair she could see from here. Most of the visitors had fled in the meantime anyway, only a few brave or foolish enough still watched her from a distance, holding up video cameras to catch everything on tape.

"Well, okay!" the bunny finally gave in, joining her giant friend in her excited grin.

"Then let's go!" the cat cheered, grabbing the much smaller girl gently around her waist and setting her down on her shoulder. The bunny girl had to steady herself against her friend's cheek, grabbing fur and hair for support, but being perched atop a four story living being and riding along as she took strides through the fair quickly overpowered her initial fear with butterflies in her belly.

"There's another one!" she pointed her friend in the right direction when she spotted another candy booth ready for looting. The giant girl didn't hesitate to comply and easily ripped off the construction's roof to get to the contents. A whole tank of ice cream was licked up like a single cup, making her shiver both of the cold and the exhilarating feeling of another growth spurt. Before her body could even finish shifting it's size, she was done and on her way to the next display of treats, gobbling up popcorn and snacks.

The little bunny didn't have to say anything anymore. She just clung tight to her friend's neck as it grew ever larger. The cheek she had leaned against moved above her like a ledge, the strands of hair falling down before and behind the fuzzy ear seemed like oddly colored vines right out of a jungle. Even the fine strands of her fur grew big enough to allow the bunny a tight grip. She needed every bit of it, because she was tossed up and down and around like on a rollercoaster ride, when her giant friend crouched down to pick up one booth after another and moved along with ever wider steps.

It wasn't long until she didn't even bother to pick the candy from the booths. She could simply grab them with two hands, lifting them like a bucket and pouring the whole display into her muzzle. Each growth made her mouth and stomach bigger and left her wanting even more, while her portions steadily dwindled in size. The next one was just a mug instead of a bucket and the last one was small enough that she could pick it up between two fingers, the whole contents only crumbs to lick up.

Her makeshift dress soon struggled to contain her growing form. It pulled back to reveal her thighs, shifted around her shoulders, until it finally couldn't wrap around her anymore, sliding down to the ground, left behind and quickly forgotten. Her necklace strained around her throat, but it took her only a swift tug to snap the wire and throw it away. At this point, she didn't care if anybody saw her like this, naked and all. She was above things like that, quite literally!

Looking down she noticed just how big she had gotten. Her feet had trouble finding room in the streets of the fair without stepping on any of the emptied booths she had left behind. Her tail alone knocked several constructions down with it's fuzzy tip, swishing from one side of the street to the other and over the heads of several spectators that had deemed themselves at a safe distance. Just a single step could carry her over the whole crowd and the surrounding attractions that lay scattered on the ground like children's toys, or bury some unlucky few under her paw pad if she wasn't careful.

"Whoah!" her tiny friend leaned forward on her shoulder, reduced to the size of her thumb, to dare and take a look straight down. "You mus' be over a hundred feet!" she squealed.

In fact, the giant girl was curious how big she really was. She looked around, searching for something to measure her size, but even the greatest attractions paled in comparison to her. A measuring bar in front of the roller coaster line didn't provide any help, it's "You must be this tall to ride" sign ridiculed by the toe tip that knocked it down without even touching it. It took just a heavy gust of wind, produced by the sheer force of the impact on the ground that made the asphalt crack and shatter into a paw print several feet deep. Only the Ferris wheel still stood tall, almost reaching up to her eye level, carrying it's passengers right before her face.

"Hey there!" the cat girl grinned and waved at them, leaning forward to look inside the cars. Tiny people were cowering right before her eyes, trying not to draw her attention, or staring at her paralyzed. A light tapping against the cars made them swing back and forth, eliciting panicked screams from the passengers and amused giggles from the girl.

"Daaaw! You're so cute!"

With a crunching sound she put her hand on the slowly turning wheel and stopped it's rotation. Engine parts and gears were screeching and breaking when she started to pull in the opposite direction, to give the wheel a forceful spin.

"Stop that!" her friend intervened. She tugged on her hair and tried to hold her back. "You'll hurt them!"

"I just wanna play with 'em!" she replied. "Come on, it's fun! I didn't think I could ever do this in a million years! And now it's just a little push ..."

She grinned when she turned the big wheel back and forth, the cars swinging wildly with their screaming passengers trapped inside.

"They'll fall! You'll kill them!" her bunny friend cried right into her ear.

"I won't kill them!" she objected. "I just wanna play a little bit."

"But if they fall, they'll die ..."

"They won't fall!"

"But it's too high! They can't get out!"

"Then I ... uhm, I'll help them out!" the cat smiled. She turned to the wheel and held her hand right in front of one of the cars. "Come on! I won't hurt you!"

No matter how unthreatening she tried to appear with a smile big enough to fit a whole car inside, nobody dared to climb out of their seats and onto her outstretched hand. Frowning upon their reluctance she curled her lips into a pout, then an angry stare.

"If you don't want to come out, I'll make you!"

"Tiff, no!" her little friend yelled, but she went on anyway. One hand grabbed the big wheel on each side, her feet pushed against the pillars supporting the construction, until the metal bent and cracked under her force, the whole wheel coming loose and leaning to the side, only held upright by the moody giant. A little shaking tossed the passengers around and made the cars swing open, with several people dangling from the doors and clinging to the edge for their lives. Panicked screams filled her ears, but before anyone could loose their grip she snatched them away with a swift hand. Maybe a dozen people she collected this way, quite a handful, but none of them was any bigger than one of her fingers. She felt like she was picking toys out of their boxes, only these toys were living, breathing things that squirmed and screamed in her grasp and tried to climb over her fingers.

"Hold still!" she commanded them and pressed the whole group against her chest, but that did little to calm the frightened passengers. Only when she began to turn and roll the big wheel across the ground they went still, if just to await what she would do to it. She grinned in anticipation, lifting her passenger hand a little higher to allow them a better view of the scenery. "Watch this!"

With a forceful movement she pushed the wheel forward, letting it roll along the fair street. The dangling cars were shattered once they hit the ground, but the metal frame managed to hold together for a few revolutions, before the wheel flattened the fence surrounding the fairground and crashed into the buildings just behind. All the people that had fled before and gathered just outside the entrance were forced to flee again, when the wheel's braces succumbed to their own weight and it came crashing down on the street and the many cars parked along the perimeter.

"Oops!" the cat giggled and tightened her grip around her unwilling passengers to hold them safe against her body, before she hurried to the entrance of the state fair to see what damage she had caused. It only took her a few steps to get there, although those steps took almost as high a toll on the fair as the rampant Ferris wheel had, brittle constructions shaking and carts breaking under her feet.

The outside didn't fare much better. Most of the visitors had gathered here to watch as the little cat girl had grown time and time again, and those that had fled to safety had been replaced by an even larger number of curious onlookers from the city that couldn't believe their eyes. Until now the place had been closed off by the police to keep the masses at bay, but many of the police cars lay shattered beneath the remains of the Ferris wheel, the red and blue lights of the other cars casting flickering shadows across the scenery.

"Stop!" a voice drew her attention, amplified by a megaphone. "Hold it right there!"

One of the police officers, a German Shepherd in tight fitting uniform, had taken the initiative and stepped up to her on the hood of a still intact car. Others were backing him up and aiming guns at her from behind the cover of their vehicles. The rest was busy to keep the onlookers calm, who were constantly pushing and shoving in opposite directions, to get away to safety or to get a better view at what was going on.

"Put those people down slowly!" the shepherd continued when the cat gave him no reaction other than a curios look. His mouth was dry and his heart was racing as he looked up at the giant before him, but he managed to keep his voice firm and steady nonetheless. "If you cooperate, you won't be harmed!"

His words were met by a frown. The girl looked down at him with an accusing glare, pressing the people in her hand tightly against her body to keep them safe.

"I just saved them! Without me they'd been stuck in that wheel or fallen down!"

"But you destroyed the wheel in the first place", her bunny friend tried to argue, but she didn't want to hear any of it. The meek cries for help from below didn't quite reach her ears.

"I repeat: Put those people down slowly and you won't be harmed!"

"Stop telling me what to do!"

With rising anger at the grownups before her she took a step forward and brought her foot crashing down right in front of the megaphone wielder. The impact cracked the street and shook the cars, making the shepherd officer topple over and stumble backwards to the ground.

One anxious trigger finger was enough to return the attack. When one of the policemen fired at her, all the others followed suit and unloaded their weapons against her bare legs. The projectiles were too small to penetrate her skin and fur, so they didn't really hurt her, but they still managed to cause an unpleasant prickling and stinging, much like a dozen mosquito bites. She drew back in surprise and hissed sharply, but when the first shock began to fade and she realized they couldn't harm her, her anger overtook her.

"Stop! Cease fire!" the German Shepherd tried to hold his men back, but the damage was already done. For a moment he allowed himself a sigh of relief when he turned and watched the giant put all the people from her hand down to the ground behind her, even though she wasn't very gentle. But when her eyes lit up in anger and she rose up again, terror gripped his heart. He didn't even bother to raise his megaphone and try to stop her, he just gave a warning shout to all his companions and the bystanders.

"Retreat!"

It was the only thing they could do as the giant cat girl came for them. She watched the crowd scurry away from her, a whole squad of police men frightened like insects when she switched on the light. They tried to run, they tried to cower behind their toy cars, but they weren't fast enough. She swiped them off their feet with a single blow, snatched them right off the street and trapped them in her closed fist, letting them feel just how powerless they were against her.

"Stop telling me what to do!" she yelled at them and her cry echoed through the whole city. "I just ... wanna ... have ... FUN!"

Each word was underlined by an angry stomp, and each thundering stomp left another car smashed to pieces in a deep paw print. They wouldn't hurt her anymore! They wouldn't stop her! She was in command now, she was here to do whatever she wanted to!

"Stop it!" she heard a high pitched cry right in her ear.

"Alice!"

She winced and froze. Her bunny friend had managed to climb from her shoulder to her ear and was dangling there dangerously just to tell her to stop. She picked her up between two fingertips and let her sit on her outstretched hand, right in front of her face.

"What's the matter?"

The little bunny slumped down, looking exhausted and breathing heavily. "Stop it, Tiff. Please ... you're hurtin' everyone."

"They hurt me first!" she protested and squeezed her fist, until the trapped policemen screamed in pain. The bunny's eyes widened in horror, as she yelled once again: "Stop, please!"

The cat relaxed and looked at her friend curiously, irritated by her insistence. "Why?" she asked. "I thought we were having fun. And then those men come and try to hurt me and ..."

"That's no fun!" the bunny interjected.

"It IS fun!" she exclaimed, but once again her friend spoke up.

"It's fun for you! But it's no fun for us!"

"But you're with me! We're having fun together ...!"

"No, we're not", the bunny sadly shook her head. "I wanted to, but you destroyed all the fun for everyone else."

"But we're here to -"

"Look!" The little girl stood up on the giant palm holding her, pointing around. "You destroyed everything! You scared everyone!"

"Being scared is part of the fun", she tried to explain, but she was silenced by the much smaller girl's glare.

"You're just being mean. How are the others gonna have fun?"

"They still have the rest of the state fair ..."

"But you destroyed everything! And you ate all the candy yourself!"

"They ... they still could ... uhm ..."

She looked around herself. Broken glass and shattered steel lay scattered all across the street and the neighboring fairground. The people were fleeing from her, not only a little scared, but fearing for their lives. She even spotted her teacher and her classmates, and the horse boy whose clothes she had ripped apart. He was clad in a blanket now, but he was still crying, still sobbing from the shock.

A pang of consciousness hit her. She hadn't meant to hurt anyone. She just enjoyed being the biggest one for once, to be able to do whatever she felt like. She wanted to scare the others because it was fun, not because she wanted to see them cry - or even dead. After seeing her go on a rampage through the whole fair, they must think of her as some kind of insatiable monster.

"I'm no monster!" she insisted.

Her friend gave her a confused look. "What?"

"I'm not a monster! I didn't mean to hurt anyone or destroy everything or ... I just wanted to ... I just ..."

Her eyes trailed down to her hand that was still clutching several policemen. When she carefully opened her grip they gasped for air, writhing and groaning from the lifting strain on their bodies. Gently she lowered them to the ground and put them down, flashing an uneasy smile.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you! And ... and I'm sorry for your cars, too."

While the men were brought to an ambulance by their colleagues, she turned to the rest of the crowd. They backed away, but now that she had calmed down, more of them were curious and eager to listen. She cleared her throat and raised her voice, just not too loud, to not scare anyone.

"I'm sorry, everyone! I really didn't want to destroy everything! I just wanted to have some fun. That's ... that's what the state fair is for, right?" She grinned apologetically, but she was met with angry voices from the crowd.

"Damn fine fun you had there, kid!"

"You nearly killed us!"

"Who's gonna pay for this mess?"

"I wanna go home!"

The cries of children and the shouts of grownups alike hit her. She already apologized! And they were still mad at her? What else was she gonna do? Maybe they should be scared, maybe they didn't deserve any better, these ungrateful stupidheads. A low growl worked itself up her throat and her muzzle began to turn into a snarl, but it was stopped dead in it's tracks when one of the grownups suddenly stepped in front of the crowd.

"Miss Fawn?"

"Keep calm, Tiffany, everything will be fine!"

Her teacher turned to the crowd and raised her hands. "Listen, everyone!" she tried to make herself heard, but the angry mob easily drowned out her voice. With waving arms she tried to draw their attention, but the people were too agitated to listen.

"STOP IT!" the cat girl shouted on ground-shaking volume and immediately the crowd went silent.

"Thank you", the doe replied, a little intimidated by the display of power of her student. Nonetheless she recomposed herself, picking up the megaphone dropped by one of the police men.

"Listen! I know you are all very angry and afraid, but let's keep calm for the moment."

When she had the crowd's attention, she pointed to the giant girl and continued.

"This is my student! I know her and I know that this ... exceptional situation is as disturbing and difficult for her as it is for all of us. She is just seven years old! She is still a little child ..."

"Yeah, really little!" someone from the crowd shouted, but she just went over it.

"... she is a child and still needs to learn where her limits are. Today she learned that she did something that was very, very wrong and she will promise to never do it again!" With a quick glance to her student she added: "Also, she will make amends to all of you at the best of her ability!"

"That's right!" the girl nodded hastily in agreement. "I'll make it up to you, I promise!"

"Tiffy! I've got an idea!" her bunny friend called and waved her arms at her to be raised to her ear. She leaned forward and lowered her voice. " Maybe you could ..."

~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~
Screams echoed all over the fairground when the car full of people dove towards the ground in free fall. A second before it slammed into the street it slowed down, moving horizontally, before it was yanked into the air again at full throttle.
"Wheeeee!"
The giant cat girl was spinning around, holding the car in one hand like a toy and playing with it as though it could really fly, much to the excitement of it's passengers. "Vrooom!" she made the accompanying noises to go with the thrill ride. "Fwooosh!"
She drew circles with the car high up in the air, slowing down so her passengers could appreciate the view over the city, before she let them dive downwards again in long, curved sweeps, brushing only a few feet over the heads of their friends and family members waiting below. Excited screams turned into exhausted cheers when the car finally sled to a gentle halt and landed on the ground.
"Thank you for flying with Tiffany Airlines! We hope you had fun and will be back soon!"
"Again! Again!" she heard some of the kids shout, but she laughed and shook her head.
"Not that soon! That was the last one for today ... my arms hurt."
With a tired yawn she stretched, letting herself sink to the ground gently so she wouldn't break anything else. She had had enough trouble to clear away all the stuff she had destroyed earlier, but she had kept her promise and helped to clean up her mess. All the broken wood and twisted metal was piled up in a few stacks to be taken away by trucks one load after another. The Ferris wheel couldn't be repaired, but ripping it apart and grinding it into tiny pieces beneath her paw pad had been surprisingly satisfying.
It turned out, the wheel wasn't really needed anymore. Riding a living giant instead of a mechanical construction proved to be far more exciting to most people. For all the rides and booths she had broken she tried to make up by offering everyone to climb her or to be picked up and lifted higher than even most of the surrounding buildings could reach. Soon she began to emulate roller coaster rides, too, treating the visitors and cars as her personal playthings. As long as she was careful and didn't force anyone to do something against their will, it was a great time for everyone.
"You okay, Tiff?" her friend asked from the rooftop of a nearby booth.
She looked down smiling at the little bunny girl. "I'm okay", she nodded slowly, "but I'm tired ..."
A sudden shudder ran across her body, making her stomach flutter and her fur stand on edge for a moment. Everything on her body seemed to tighten, then it returned to normal. The sugar was slowly leaving her system, and with it her size was dwindling foot by foot.
"You shrank again!"
"Mhm. It feels ... funny", the cat girl explained, pondering, comparing her hand's size to the size of her friend. She could still fit easily into her palm, although she was about as long as her index finger right now, not smaller than her thumb anymore. When she presented her hand, the little bunny climbed her fingers to be picked up by her friend.
"At leas' you're shrinking at all!" the bunny told her. "Imagine you were stuck this big. Or you kept on growing!"
She giggled. "Then you'd never have to ride the school bus again! I could carry you the whole way."
Her friend looked a bit dumbfounded, but then she chimed in with the friendly laughter. "You didn' have to go to school anymore at all! You wouldn' fit in the classroom!"
"Then it would be like vacation all year! We could go to the beach every day ... or I could carry your house and we'd live there!"
"I bet you could make really big waves", her friend giggled.
"Totally", she sighed and leaned back, setting her little friend down on her chest. "I wish there was more candy. Then we could do all that ..."
"You already ate it all."
"I know! But that's all there was and there's nowhere with more candy than the state fair ..."
Her friend seemed to think for a moment.
"What's up, Alice?"
"Well, there's always the candy factory", she replied.
"Candy factory?"
"All the candy has to come from somewhere! Doesn' it?"
"Yeah ..."
Her mind began to wander. A whole factory filled to the brim with candy? And it makes even more? The thought alone made her mouth water and her body shiver in giddy anticipation. Not to think of how big she could grow from all that!
"Wanna go visit the candy factory?" she grinned at her friend.
The little bunny hesitated for a moment, but then she chimed in with a mischievous grin of her own. "But this time you won' hurt anyone, promise?"
"Promise!"
She rose to her feet, lifting her friend and setting her on her shoulder.
"But a little scaring is alright, okay?" she added.
"Okay", the bunny giggled and grabbed her fur for support. It would be a rough walk through the city.
"Prepare yourself, candy! Here comes Tiffany!"
