#3 of Rise of the Xenomorphs: The Future Breed

Anthony walked through the slimy halls of the hive with a grimace of disgust evident on his face. He gagged as the smell washed over him; the smell of destruction, the smell of decay, the smell of death.

The marine whose arm was slung over Anthony's shoulder moaned painfully. Anthony patted him on the shoulder, careful to avoid the small holes in his skin. They still smelled of burning flesh.

"How much further?" Ruston snarled at the nearest Xeno. It hissed at him and pointed forwards. He scoffed. "That was helpful."

"It's ok Ruston, we're getting close," Coffer moaned through his teeth. Ruston looked over at him.

"How do you know that?" he asked, confused. Coffer chuckled grimly.

"Look around," he ordered. Ruston turned around and saw a macabre sight indeed. Hundreds of miners, alive or dead, stuck to the walls. Skeletons were strewn all over the walls as well, making Ruston and Ferrintino grimace even more. He looked over at the Xenos leading him to the Royal Chamber; they looked back at him and snarled.

"Yea, facehuggers have to stay on hive webbing or they die. This is about as far as they can go, so we must be getting close to the source," Anthony explained. Ruston nodded understandingly. Then, suddenly he turned and shot one of the miners, who had a hugger attached firmly to his head, multiple times with his pulse rifle. The Xenos snarled and lunged into the path of his bullets just a little too late. They hit the ground with a thud and jumped back to their feet. A Warrior leapt forward and pinned Ruston to the wall by his throat. The Warrior's grip tightened until Ruston felt his windpipe start to crush. Ruston thought this was the end, until a screech and a stabbing noise sounded through the sticky hall.

Ruston choked as he stood up. He looked over to see the Warrior impaled on the end of a huge, curved blade! He tried to see who held the tool of death, but when he looked at the hilt, he noticed that there was none. Instead, the blade was attached to the arm of a gargantuan, bipedal, dark blue Xenomorph with a large crest around its collarbone. It had small green dots placed in a pattern around the collarbone and on the parts of its arms that held the blades. It was a lighter blue around the collarbone and head, but a very dark, almost black, shade of blue around the lower body and legs. Its feet were shaped like hooves, not like a horse's, more cylindrical. Almost like a cylinder with a crack on the bottom and onto the middle of the front.

It looked at him and growled as it shook the corpse off the end of its blade. It slowly thundered back to a large mechanical door, where another one stood on the opposite side. They watched as the marines walked cautiously to the door. It rolled open and they stepped, again cautiously, into the darkly lit room.

When they were fully inside, they heard the giants roar at the Drones and Warriors who led them to where they were, sending them scampering away like frightened dogs.

"Hello, boys, so glad you could make it!" a familiar, female voice called to them. They turned towards the voice and saw the Queen lying in a sticky, goo-covered cot. She laughed at them when she sensed their confusion.

"I see you've met my newly-bred babies. They're called, as you're marine fellows so aptly dubbed them, Ravagers," she said. Smiling, she called the two Ravager guards into the room. She clicked at them a couple times, the Xeno equivalent to "close the door on your way in". They did as they were told and stood behind the soldiers.

"Alright, we're here," Anthony grimaced. He looked at her, noticing the wound on her hand was gone. "They really are evolving!" he thought, knowing that Xenos don't heal from a wound like that that fast.

"Yes, you are," she said in the cliché female sexy tone. She quickly barked at her two guards, who suddenly kicked each member of the trio with their huge, hoof-like feet. Anthony watched as he and his friends flew towards the sticky walls behind him.

"You...traitor," Anthony tried to shout through the veils of unconsciousness. He fell backwards and slumped against the soft goo that covered the rooms. He felt the warm stickiness cling to him and pull him deeper into the wall. He lost consciousness just before it was pulled over his head.

Anthony groaned. He heard her voice. Obviously feminine, yet deep and attractive. He groaned again. She turned to him.

"Oh, you're awake," she said softly. She walked over to him and rubbed her cold finger along the side of his cheek. He tried to shake her off of him, but was too weak.

"You wonder why you're still alive. You wonder why I haven't killed you yet. You have many questions, and I have answers. It began when you came to execute me and my children the first time we met. You see, when you were captured, I found you very attractive and told my children you were not to be touched. But, alas, one of the huggers found its way to you despite my orders and, even though it had already attached itself to you, had yet to impregnate you. I pulled it off and killed it, which hurt me greatly, but still managed to save your life. Facehuggers naturally implant their host with large amounts of Xenomorph DNA to give the embryo more nutrients so it can grow healthily, so I got it off of you before the egg could be laid but could not stop the transport of a quite massive amount of our DNA to your genetic code," she explained. "Now it is time for you to embrace your destiny, Anthony. It's time for you to become what you were born to become."

The Queen leant over to him and extended her prehensile, drooling tongue. She gently touched it to his face and then quickly bit down on his throat, letting drool and her own blood pour into his wound. Surprisingly it didn't burn or sting, he just got a warm and tingly feeling through his whole body.

"What are you doing?" he asked frightfully. She released him from her jaws and looked at him.

"Giving you new life," she said proudly. She stepped into the shadows, out of sight, and left Anthony alone in the chamber.

He felt the warm feeling through his whole body and gasped as pain suddenly flooded through him everywhere the warmth had been. He screamed as he found the strength to rip through the slime holding him to the wall and fell to his knees upon landing. His features tightened in agony as his skin began to rip and tear all over his body and a black hide could just barely be seen. Small, black spines ripped his arms apart and stuck out of him. Then, even bigger spines tore out of his back and quivered as he slammed both fists into the ground in agony, making huge dents in the metal floor. He looked in surprise at the floor and then quickly grimaced again in pain as his skull cracked and stretched, growing longer, growing more phallic and smooth.

His hair fell out rapidly and his scalp tore in half to make way for the black, slimy, eyeless exoskeleton that was strongly pushing at his face. His teeth grew steel-colored and sharper than they had been before and his chest burst forth and grew broader as did his shoulders. His tongue felt heavy and lolled out of his mouth, a splitting feeling in the tip. Blood poured from all of his wounds and gore dripped lazily from the spines on his arms and legs. He screamed as another burst of agony ripped through his lower body, making him double over. His bone structure grew thicker and more solid, with a couple new bones forming near his shattered skull, his neck, and his legs which had subsequently snapped backwards at the knee.

He couldn't take the pain anymore and passed out with a very loud screech that came from his new maw. As he lay on the ground, twitching in pain, he was again approached by the Queen who had actually just been waiting in the shadows the whole time. She picked him up and carried him back to her chamber.
