A Bit of Author's notes
I just want to let you all know, that this story is inspired by one of my favorite movies of all time, and it's based off of it. Anyone who's seen the movie will find similarities, BUT I will attempt to make things different from the original. So sit back, relax, and happy reading everyone :D And for those of you who want to know, there will be yiff in it. But not in every chapter. ^_-

Hello. My name is Guy McCloud. I am currently a college student, and my second year has just now finished. Your probably wondering what type of person I am. And I just so happen to be your everyday nerd. No, I'm not book smart like them, but I am really into a lot of games, and anime. And the books I ever pick up most of the time, is mangas. When you think about it, I'm more like a geek, but I still fall under the whole nerd catagory, no matter which way you look at it. And just like the nerds, I had a pretty rough high school life. You might have an idea on what it's like: As and Bs for grades, teachers simply adore you, your skilled with a lot of electronics, can be really detailed oriented..but that's just the good part. The bad part is being picked on, trashed around, harassed both physically and mentally...sometimes sexually if your REALLY unlucky. Overall, Nerds has always been at the bottom of the barrel. And the majority of society today..mainly teenagers or young adults, would look down on them. But all that changed after a lot of events in my college life. When I began in college, I was thinking all that high school drama was left behind. But man was I wrong..dead wrong. Sit down, relax my good friend. Let me tell you the story, that changed the face of nerds to this day. Let's start from....right on my first day of entering.
o0Chapter 1: The wonderful world of College....or is it?0o
(Out of POV)
It was now 6:00 AM, and the sun was just making it's grand entrance in all it's shining glory. Covering the town of Engave in a blanket of it's warm bright glow. In a particular two storie house, lived a young fox by the name of Guy McCloud. Who was currently receiving a rude awakening from his alarm clock, that was only doing it's job. And as always, the clock was very successful.
"Ugh..morning already? Just five more minutes..." Guy's hand felt around the small table that sat next to his bed, until he could feel the alarm clock's "OFF" switch. Upon turning it off, he laid in bed for a few more minutes, not wanting to really get up yet, his body fully under the covers to block out the uninviting sunlight that shined through his windows.
Little did our fox know, he was about to get another rude awakening. This time, it was from a cheetah, who looked like he was 5'8, and was currently wearing a black cloak with a hood that covered his face. He also had on a pretty creepy mask with red eyes on them. And it came with a voice changer, to make him sound more menacing. Anyone can tell it was a cheetah, because of the tail, and the sleeves did not cover his hands. He walked closer towards Guy's bed, and once he was close enough, he brought his face closer to where Guy's head was located.
"I AM THE LORD OF DEATH. GIVE ME A SACRIFICE OR SUFFER WITH YOUR OWN SOUL!" The masked cheetah said to Guy's sleeping form, which was not asleep anymore.
"HOLY SHIT!!" Guy jumped out of the bed, and threw the first thing he could grab onto, which was his alarm clock. And he nailed "The lord of death" right on the head.
"Hot wings..." A very dazed so called death god uttered, before he fell flat to the ground.
The rest of the morning was spent on finding out who this death god was, which turned out to be Guy's best friend Reid Rinolgo, preparing for the first day of college, and getting something in their stomachs. The two of them both fell from the same category tree, but they both have a uniqe personality of their own, as well as their own style.
Guy is a Fox with blond fur, with emerald green eyes. His style in clothing is mostly casual ware, which is mainly a black shirt, with a slightly green short sleeved jacket over it, along with a pair of blue jeans, black sneakers with blue highlights on the bottom, and white fingerless gloves to match. His shaggy blond hair matches perfectly with the black band that is tied around his head, making him look like some kind of fighter. People would question him on why he wears the band, and he normally replies with: "It's a free country." Guy is also a nice young fox, with a heart as pure as gold. He often tries to balance what is right, and what he believes is right, and can be rebellious when he wants to.
Reid on the other hand has a different style than Guy. Reid is what you would call a cool nerd. He wore just about the right kind of clothing any nerd would put on. Which was a white dress shirt, a red tie, dress pants that are pulled up over their waist with the shirt tucked, brown dress shoes, and at least has a few pins in the shirt pocket...the only reason why Reid looks slightly different from the rest, and why he is considered 'Cool', is because the tie was lose, the shirt was untucked, the pants had cargo pockets on them, and were slightly baggy, and he wore brown casual boots instead of dress shoes. More like the nerd that would kick your ass in a fight. Reid had hair that was redder than a tomato, and his eyes were as blue as the ocean.
After the two had breakfast, the feline, and canine went right back to Guy's room, and made sure that all their stuff were packed and ready to go.
"Yeah man! College life! Finally! No more of that high school bull shit!" Reid said with a fist in the air as he and Reid gathered their suitcases.
"Yeah, and think of all the girls we can finally be with. Cool part about college, it's like a chance to start over. Make up for the lame stuff in high school." Guy said with his hands behind his head as he sat down on his bed. "Like not being able to get laid at all."
"Tell me about it. But that's all going to change this year. We get to meet new people, party hard, take part in activities, and dominate in our studies as usual." Reid spoke with stars in his eyes.
"Hey, not only that, we might meet more people who are into the same stuff we are. There's bound to be more." Guy was now looking forward to college life just as much as Reid is.
The two talked about their future adventures together, when Guy's mother walked in. "Guy, Reid, morning." She greeted with a warm smile. "Are you two ready for today? This is going to be a huge step towards life for you both." She added.
"Yeah, mom. We're all set." Guy told her, now sounding pumped as he clapped his hand and fist together.
"Good, your father is waiting in the car." Then she gives both of them a hug, and a fresh batch of cookies in a nice decorative bag. "I will miss you both. And I hope you two will have a wonderful experience."
"Thank you mom. I promise that I'll have an awesome time." Guy said to her with a thumbs up, as he grabs his suitcases.
"And don't you worry ma'am, I got your son's back!" Reid told her with his trademark grin, as he gently punches Guy in the shoulder, and picks up his suitcases as they both walked out of the room.
"Alright you two. Have fun and remember to be safe." Guy's mother smiled as she watches the two of them leave the house, and enter a deep blue SUV, as it drives off as soon as the two friends were seated in the vehicle.
The college that the two friends were about to enter was known as Huxly University. The campus was pretty huge, about the size of two football stadiums put together. Around the college was pretty much all the students needed. Dorms and peterny homes to stay in, places to eat and shop, a police department for any monkey buisness, (no pun intended towards any monkey based characters in this story) and a fire department along with the hospital, because...shit happens. The university building itself was designed to look like a mansion. A very huge one at that...not even the malls can compare to it's size.
As the SUV parked in front of the main building, the trio stepped out of the vehicle, Guy's father wanting to help out with his son's belongings, and also help out Reid's as well.
"Well guys..these are a few words of advice that I can pass down to you that will hopefully help you through your four years." Guy's father spoke, as he stood between Guy and Reid, as they stare in awe at the massive campus. "There will be many things that you will witness in your college life. Fun times, mischief times, and even the hard times will get into the mix." He spoke to them. "But whatever you do, do not take your mind off your goals. If there is something in life that you want to get out of this experience, then go for it. Don't hesitate, and once you archived something great...never let anyone take it from you." The man said to the two young ones, as he walked towards the car, grabbing his camera. "Now say cheese, this is a golden moment."
The two turned around, and did their pose, which looked like to be from their favorite games, animes, or mangas. "Good one! Alright. I will see you two later. Good luck in college, and stay sharp." Guy's father told them, as he drove back home.
"Well then...there he goes. We are officially on our own now Reid." Guy told him with a smile, as he headed towards the freshman dormitory building, with Reid in tow.
"You said it pal. Hey I hope that the rooms arn't so shabby." Reid walked beside Guy now, as the two were now walking past a building which looked like to be occupied by the...jocks.
"Eh, even if it is, we can fix that up real fast." Guy told him with a confident smile, and the two took a glance at what was going on.
There were a lot of students on a balcony and one of them seems to be hanging from the ledge, by it's legs with the help of a student that looked to be like a strong Ape. It looked like to be a hyena wearing a red football jersy, and he was laughing while the students on the ground were constantly throwing empty beer cans at him. And the students were shouting his nick name apparently. "CRAZY LEGS! CRAZY LEGS! CRAZY LEGS! CRAZY LEGS!"
As the students carried on with their crazy game, Guy and Reid were about to get moving, until something else caught there attention. "Hm?" The ape said to himself as he looked up, and spotted Guy and Reid. Then he begins to shout at them from afar. "NERDS!....NERDS!....NERDS!..."
"Nerds? What nerds?" Reid asked Guy, looking around for the nerds, oblivious that they were talking about He, and Guy.
"Um..Reid. I think they mean us...we should probably get going." Guy warned, as Reid nodded, and the two entered in their building quickly, the nerd chant growing louder and faster. Thankfully, the jocks stayed at their peterny house, not wanting to be bothered with them right this moment. They were too occupied with their wild party.
The Jocks...the label that is usually directed towards the athletes. They are strong, a majority of them have a HUGE ego, and they usually take all the pretty females out there. They mostly don't care about school work, all they care about is the sports, beer parties, girls, being number one, and get their kicks out of picking on nerds or freshmen. And these jocks are the wildest ones of them all. During their party, they were drinking bear out of their trophies, diving from the top of the stairs into a pool of beer, some were currently getting laid or having a hot make out session, and a lot of them were dancing. Over all, the place is a huge mess, and a majority of these said jocks are...not so bright.
Wild Party aside, our two main students were currently settling in their dorm room. Discussing on where they will settle their things.
"Hey...this room is not so bad." Reid whistled as they entered a fairly sized room with two beds, a bathroom, a small kitchen, two large closets, and two dressers. "I can get used to this...say! Think they would let us put a small refrigerator in here?" He asked while he starts throwing his clothes on the bed.
"Heh, they will let us have a small refrigerator, AND a microwave in here. This is our room man. We can put anything we want in here." Guy told him with a smirk as he dumped his suitcase.
"Hey...even girls?" Reid asked, loving what he is hearing.
"No, not girls. Women. We are not little boys anymore." Guy told him as he walked to one part of the room to examine it. "Hey...this would make a great spot for our entertainment center."
"Yeeeeeeah...plasma screen TV. Surround Sound...games and dvds galore! Up high!" Reid held his hand up high.
"Down low!" Guy held out his hand as the two high fived each other. "Man...college life will be sweet."
