#4 of Flash Fiction

This is just an early flash fiction/vignette (goodness, I still struggle in understanding the exact difference between the two) piece of mine that I'm only NOW uploading on SoFurry.

All I can say is that this was pretty much written when I had Disney-themed Creepypastas on the brain. ...Inspiration is weird.

Twenty-one-year-old squirrel Tiffany hated her new summer job at the local, small-time amusement park known as Zippy Frontier. She hated the company policies that Zippy Frontier employees had to keep a friendly, outgoing demeanor from nine to five. She absolutely detested that she was under strict orders to never say an unkind word to park patrons. She thought the park's mascot Zippy the Jackalope was the dumbest-looking thing she ever saw. She loathed the saccharine scents of flowers and cotton candy that flowed throughout the park.

Furthermore, she felt that the mascot costumes were incredibly redundant considering the park was located in a town primarily inhabited by Animal Folk.

Furthermore, she was rather irritated that her employers didn't mention anything about the demonic spirits that manifested in the park during the night. The aforementioned employers had neglected to mention that the spirits possessed everything from the attractions to the mascot costumes to the plush merchandise.

As the single staff member on the night shift, Tiffany had been working in rather terrible work conditions for weeks. It wasn't long before Tiffany handed in her two weeks notice, as one can probably imagine.

And on her final night in the park, Tiffany stood in the middle Zippy Zip Plaza and narrowed her eyes as the demonic hordes in the form of Zippy Jackalope props and memorabilia crept towards her. She switched on her makeshift flamethrower. Tiffany had been through so much misery and terror for only minimum wage.

Oh yeah. Tiffany was done with Zippy Frontier.

By sunrise, the only thing that was left of Zippy Frontier was a mountain of ashes and rubble. Tiffany Squirrel, on the other hand, had hopped on the last plane to Florida for a much needed vacation.
